Great little Belgium beer focussed craft beer place, with classic dingy downstairs but lovely street side seating up top in full view of sun. Amazing beer selection, would definitely go back to try food to bring up to 5*

I’ve been going here for about 4 years now and I can tell you if you’re after craft beer, great food, live music and exceptional service I couldn’t recommend anywhere else in Southampton! The guys down their know their stuff are super lovely. Always a great selection of beers, 20% off tasting flights on Tuesdays, kitchen pop ups and tap take overs. Cannot recommend enough

A connoisseur’s place for the cream of Belgium and continental beers. A great venue, not only for the array of beers but, the ambiance and music. In the basement it offers either booth style seating or high chairs and small tables. Would recommend this place. Check availability at busy times.

Visited on a Wednesday and had the schnitzel and waffle for £10 deal, excellent value. Huge selection of Belgium beers and uk craft beers. Very good service. Only criticism the chicken schnitzel was very good but the pork was very fatty. They were only taking cash on the night but the manager called us beforehand to make us aware, nice touch.

Lovely find in Southampton. Only the basement bar was open but the beers on offer were all excellent. We tried most of the Belgium beer on draft between the 3 of us. The music while slightly loud did not impact on conversation at all. Definitely a find - possibly quieter than other bars because of the price of the beers (we are not complaining though). Would definitely return. 🤗

Great beer, on the pricey side but what do you expect? Also great food, simple but well done. The guys were really helpful in getting us our food in time to get to a show, going out of their way to make sure all was done in time. Last time I visited this place I think it was called something else, can't remember what as it was so long ago and I didn't make a note of remembering. The layout is the same, it's downstairs so no natural light. I'm sure they used to make these amazing fish finger sandwiches?? Anyway, there's a nice selection of ciders and ales. The bar steward was friendly. Worth a visit.

This is a very awesome cellar craft beer venue and has great and unique selection, however sometimes they do overprice them quite a bit. On this occasion of visiting, we decided to try their food menu and was very impressed by it and the selection they had available.

Been here a good few times with our friends in Southampton and loved every single minute!! Beer selection is seriously high level!! I mean the sort of level you are gonna struggle to beat in a boozer.. staff are always super friendly and up for a bit of banter!! And the food, well.. it’s hard to argue with steak, mussels, schnitzel etc… I think they now do rotating kitchens… so I’m gonna have to get back to try that at some point!! But this is deffo a Southampton gem… would love them to open one up in London!!

We wanted to have some Belgian food, but when we decided to visit it was a Sunday roast day.. it’s quite confusing, like there isn’t enough places already serving this dish in Southampton? Or at least please offer a few Belgian dishes on Sundays. So people who are looking for something different and miss Europe can just pop up and have it without leaving sad! Thanks

I've been here for a roast dinner before and it was stunning. Today it was very lacklustre. Roast pork belly, undercooked. Very fatty, unrendered, not crisp at all, some of it unchewable. Half a carrot, 3 potatoes, a tablespoon of cabbage come on guys! This isn't cheap either. The gravy was delicious as before.

Great bar with a lovely atmosphere, as the name implies they have a wide range of Belgian beers and sweet blues tunes to add to the ambience. They have a few vegan options which is important for me, but plenty of other options to cater for all. I would highly recommend a visit to try a beer you've not had before.

We rocked up for Sunday roast and found out they were fully booked. Barman gave us recs for other local restaurants and we stayed for a drink. After a few minutes he came back over and said he can book us in next week and we can have free dessert. We thanked him but explained it was our anniversary and we had kids so it would be difficult for us to come again the next week. After this he came back with their normal menu and said the chef would cook for us. We were really pleased and ordered food. The food was amazing! Then they brought us a pudding with a happy anniversary message. Absolutely fantastic service and gorgeous food. Highly recommend they went above and beyond for us. Thanks!!

What a wonderful bar. Not only was it very classy with an old school basement vibe, but we had a beautiful veggie sharing platter which hit the spot. Cozy little basement bar with a great selection of imported beers on tap, to suit every taste and budget. Food also good, especially the Sunday roasts. Chilled after work crowd on weekdays make this a favourite to drop into on the way home from the train station! Friendly and helpful staff top off the experience.

A speakeasy-esque underground bar, serving a huge selection of beers, ales and ciders. Lots of great Belgian selections, both bottled and on tap. The drinks can be a little pricey though - some are upwards of £7 for a pint.

I would make the 2 hour trip to Southampton just to come to Belgium and Blues. What a place. The beer and food are better than any of it's competitors. The selection of beer is incredible. With a choice of well kept real ale as well as the extensive Belgian options. The food menu is ideal for vegetarians and meat eaters.

Amazing selection of Belgian beers, and very knowledgable bar staff. Luckily we were recommended to order by the half pint as it meant being able to try most of the drinks on tap, and with most being in the 6 - 8.5% range, saved a few sore heads the day after too! The atmosphere was very relaxed and the surroundings very well suited to the evening.

A bit pricey, but you're not going to find beers like these anywhere else locally. The bar staff are great at suggesting something you might like and if beers aren't your thing the upstairs bar does a decent line in gin cocktails. Can sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic in the basement bar, if busy or hot, keep this in mind if you're looking for something a bit quieter.

A nice bar / restaurant in a good location. There is a great selection of drinks overall but I don't like the way these are split between two bars on different floors. This means that to get a round of drinks including both beer and gin you need to go to two different bars! The food was nice enough, but whilst we were there there was some live singing which unfortunately was pretty aweful and the speakers were far too loud so forget having a conversation while you eat.

This is a brilliant hipster esque hideout that is easily overlooked. The atmosphere is usually very lively and the staff seemed quite relaxed. The space isn't too big however so seating is usually difficult to come by. The drink price is about average and I've only had the burgers which are usually filling.

Where this place was formerly Goblets over the years it lost a lot of love by the company running it and the clientele. Now Belgium & Blues is a vibrant place with great drinks selection and amazing food. If you're not a fan of darker places then maybe give this one a miss but the atmosphere is truly back here in this cozy corner of the city.

Upstairs is the brasserie and gin bar serving a large array of craft gins. Downstairs is the beer cellar, a much larger space with a great selection of cask ale, craft keg and a well stocked fridge of bottled Belgian and craft beers. Excellent food provided by Bark and Brisket, a mixture of smoked meats and some Belgian classics. Live music and DJs often feature at the weekend.
