Very pleasant experience, fancy style decorated interior. You can dine in or on local terrace. Top notch prompt service, nice nibbles, juicy burgers. Staff keeps an eye for every detail. Perfect place for family session or for ‘after shopping’ snack with friends.

Bill's is a very welcoming restaurant that knows how to do quality food. From the moment that you walk you, it looks very well decorated and elevated. The staff are efficient and friendly. The food is amazing with great portions and good value for money. A great place to pop in on a fine night.

It’s a very cozy place, especially in the evenings when it’s already dark outside. It’s warm and decor is beautiful, I would change the music to something more soft though. The food here is always tasty and fresh. This time we tried their Xmas menu range: parsnip soup with focaccia bread, and their cute Xmas tree dessert :berry cheesecake inside of a chocolate pot with whipped cream on top, matches well with their tea. Highly recommend to try.

My daughter and I went for lunch at bills at round 12.15pm it was already a little busy. The menu has a good range of food,we were stuck with Several options to choose from each ,the food was lovely(should of gone for the set menu with hindsight)

Would strongly suggest Bill's for breakfast in Southampton. Although the location was hard to find for a moment, once found we enjoyed every moment of our experience. The staff was welcoming, polite and friendly whilst also being helpful with information. The food was amazing I can guarantee I will be visiting if I ever travel to Southampton again.

This was a wonderful place we discovered last night, full of character and a lovely atmosphere. Our food was amazing (obviously fresh produce cooked with care) and each of our plates were delicious. We are a family with multiple serious allergies and Jess our waitress was fantastic looking after our orders, and between her and the kitchen made sure we all ate well! Big shout out of thanks to Jess and also chef (Josh?) who creatively made me the most wonderful desert taking and combining different elements from the menu choices to safely cater around my allergies - I usually can’t have a desert and the desert created was by no means a second best option - such a wonderful treat Thankyou!!!

Great food, poor service. Compliments to the chef as food was spot on all round but you need to work on the waitress service. If a table still has drinks at the end of a meal and they decline any more drinks it does not mean that they want the bill especially when there are other customers also still in the restaurant and it also does not mean that because you have given us the bill (without asking) that 2 mins later you can come up to us and ask us if we are ready to pay. Last orders were not called and there were other tables in the restaurant and at no point were we asked to drink up due to last orders prior to this point as it was not closing time. So we can only assume that you were finishing your shift and wanted to cash in your not so deserved tip/service charge before you left. The manager on shift on the other hand, she was very pleasant and personable.

It was our first visit to Bills. Evening table for 4. The reception upon arrival was particularly nice, and we were made to feel very welcome. The food and cocktails were all excellent, as was the efficient, very friendly service at the table. (Thank you Roksana). Buttermilk chicken burger is the best chicken I've ever had. I've only given 3 stars when it should be 5 stars. The reason being, the waitress, whilst very nice had really long fingers nails one of which was missing.

Had dinner here after a trip to the cinema. Starters and mains were excellent - cook well and served in a a timely manner. Special cocktails menu was well worth exploring too! There was an issue with a neighboring table that was being racist to other diners. Staff and management seemed to deal with the issue well and he asked to leave the venue.

Went here for lunch today with my friend and also took my puppy with me. Fantastic staff who are so friendly, quick service and the meals didn’t take long either, and the food was amazing. Also, the fact they do 20% Blue Light Discount is a nice added bonus, and so much more generous than other places that offer it. Mine & my friend’s go to spot when we eat out in Soton.

First time here and I've absolutely loved it here. Great service and interesting decor strike you straightaway. And then the food. Delicious. For starters we had chicken dumplings, halloumi sticks and calamari. All were seasoned brilliantly and presented in keeping with the rest of the restaurant. All absolutely delectable. For mains I had the buttermilk chicken burger and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the tastiest chicken burgers I've ever had. Incredibly light costing and succelent juicy chicken. I can't wait to be coming back here soon.

It was a very nice place The food was great.The halloumi fries were fantastic and the burgers were good. They messed up my wife's order which was no big deal on the down side we didn't need to he approached four times to say sorry and ask if everything was ok while eating but that is my personal gripe with restaurants. The music was very loud which can be annoying to try and talk over but I would go back.

We did visit on Mothers Day so may have just been a result of visiting on a busy day. Also their gluten free menu is fantastic, highly recommended if visting with someone who is Coeliac.

Love bills, but this visit wasn't so great. Food took forever to come, 35mins or so and when it did, it was luke warm and Poached eggs were hard. Can't fault the staff for their dealings with it though, took all dishes away and brought back hot, freshly cooked food for everyone. Sincerely apologised and gave us free drinks. Very busy restaurant so forgiving for this experience.

We have been visiting Bill's on a weekly basis, and we've never had a bad meal. Their main menu has some great varied choices of fresh tasty food and a great budget set menu Monday to Friday (finishing at 5 on a Friday). Where I believe you can order either 2 course for £13,95 or 3 for £16,95. The Decor is well looked after and unique, which along their song playlist make this a very cozy and welcoming place. The staff are always very friendly, corteaus, and professional.

Staffs were polite and quick to take order and bring drinks and food. BUT, food wasnt good at all. Its pitty that it doesnt matter how much effort staffs put in it, you wont go back for a bad food. I had a burger, the presentation was basic and everything was minimalistic. My friend had a half chicken which was dry, not much sauce. I wish i had taken a photo :( Food presentation is an art that not all kitchens can deliver!

We met up with another couple there and was our first visit but definitely not the last. All the staff were great as was the atmosphere and industrial look surroundings. The food was amazing and very good value for money. We had the sharing platter with chicken on skewers with deep fried calamari and 3 dips including bread. I then had the sticky ribs which were the best I've ever had. We were too full for pudding but will try harder next time! The West Quay shopping centre is right next door to Bill's and all the other eateries. Very highly recommended.

Booked a table on their website for an evening meal to celebrate our anniversary. The website asks if there are any special requirements or occasions but using these types of booking sites before, I really wasn't expecting any special treatment. We arrived about 30 minutes early as we hoped to have a few drinks before we were sat at our table. We were met by the first lady who looked after us. Really sorry but didn't catch her name but we were made to feel very welcome straight away. She checked for our booking and were actually offered our table straight away. We were shown to a wonderful table at the back of the restaurant and were promptly informed that this was their best table as they new it was our anniversary. A great start that set the tone. The waitress then came over to introduce herself and again wished us a happy anniversary...🙂 Then followed a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent, our drinks never ran dry and the speed of service was just right. To top it off, we were treated to a free pudding to complement our pudding we'd already ordered and a wonderful anniversary card. This really finished what was a fantastic evening and would thoroughly recommend this venue to anyone. 🥰

Always enjoy the delicious food & drinks at Bill's, my family & I come here regularly for special occasions etc. The service is usually amazing and staff are always friendly and polite, in good spirits. The only thing I hate is that they do put on bill is a service charge... (Has I work in Hospitality to me no places should should it on as if good enough for a tip you leave one) sometimes it could more or less then the service charge has it should upto you not the company that makes the choice to tip on not. I WOULD RETURN BUT BEWARE OF THIS AS IT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO YOUR BILL.

Not the cheapest but very generous on portion size so I was more than happy with the cost. Ordered the breakfast and a few extras which were delicious and perfectly cooked. Decent coffee too, quite strong with an excellent flavour. Got quite busy during lunch time which is always a good sign but come early or book to avoid disappointment. This is an amazing place to stop over, I think they use to be on the high street and moved to where they are after a flood in 2000, if I remember that correctly after I read that on the wall. I love Bill's in whatever city I visit! Took the family here for brunch...missed this by 10 minutes because we couldn't book an earlier table...so had to settle for lunch menu so a bit disappointed. Brilliant evening meal with my family at Bill's in Southampton. Service was excellent throughout, warmly greeted by front of house and shown to our table promptly. Pleasant, friendly and efficient servers proved it's possible to be very busy and still provide excellent service (some overpriced skyscraper based restaurants could learn a lot here). Lovely relaxed atmosphere with a warm cozy decor. Food I would describe as simple fayre done well. My Pan fried sea bass was crispy and delicious. The "flowerpot" dessert was super fun and an impressive effort.

Have eaten in many Bills. Just love the vibe. Have to say, this one is a little bit above the rest. From Management/Supervisors down to the FoH team, every single one of them smiley and attentive. I always have my same thing…Coffee and Scrambled Eggs with Streaky on Toast. Never disappoints. I always wonder how every single venue gets it exactly the same, right down to the over golden yellow colour of the Eggs. I wouldn’t say Bills is the best Scrambled Eggs you’ll ever have…in fact it’s a little weird. But, I like weird. And I’m so used to it, whether that’s Cambridge, London, Plymouth, Manchester. You just know you’re gonna get looked after with decent food and great coffee. And the Southampton venue has an added bonus of an outside dining area sun trap too 👏👏

Popped in for an evening meal before heading to the cinema. Always a nice location to sit on a sunny evening. First of all, I want to say that my review isn't specific to the food. The food quality and portions were great, and just right for their price point. Plenty of flavour, and I was actually expecting a smaller starter than I ended up getting. However there are two points that have meant I decided to reduce my rating. Firstly, the juice I ordered cost almost £5, and was absolutely tiny. If you're happy taking tiny sips throughout your meal and money isn't a concern, go for it, but I thought it was incredibly expensive for what I got. Secondly, the service charge at the restaurant is added to the bill at 12.5%. That's already a very high service bill percentage for the UK, but what really made it bad was that I found out the staff don't receive this. It isn't a tip. It goes to the business and the staff themselves never see any of it. I think this is terrible. Most people assume if you pay an optional service charge, it's the equivalent of atip, and it will stop them from leaving a cash tip. This is not the case. If you want to tip, refuse the service charge, and make sure your server receives and can keep your cash tip instead

Place was pretty empty at that hour but we weren't looking for atmosphere, just good food and efficient service as we had limited time. We got both at Bill's. Our waiter was very good and all the staff were pleasant. I had a delicious fish pie, my friend enjoyed chicken with wild mushrooms and the vegetables were nicely cooked. My only small niggle would be that I wasn't keen on the deep fried pitta bread.

I only wanted a small portion of ice cream for dessert and the waitress found a way to reduce the cost for me which she didn't have to do as I was fine paying for the standard portion. This particular one has a tiny area about outside seating and otherwise is within a concrete bunker with very little to recommend its interior. Shame, because otherwise it was a very successful visit.

First time I visited Bill's in Wimbledon it was amazing. But subsequent visits were bad and it seems that their problems are spread. The staff are so polite and the food looks pretty. But I'm sorry it doesn't make up for the very long wait and the over cooked food. I appreciated that they took some money off the bill and that they have small kitchens but consistently taking too long to wait for food - come on!!

Told on arrival it was busier than normal and that we should consider ordering starter as main course may take over 30 mins to come out..... we order starters and the starters took 30 mins to come out so felt robbed. On top of that we wasn't asked once if we wanted more drinks, wife went to the bar to ask for a bottle of wine, we were told to sit down and she would send someone over, no one came ! When we got the bill they add 10% service charge which i think is disgusting, there was only 2 adults and 2 children and no service so unfortunately as much as we liked the food we wont be going back !

After visiting Bills in Welwyn Garden City for many work lunches, I had started to become bored of it. However whilst visiting my sister in Southampton I thought it would be a good place for my mum, sister, niece and I to have a late lunch - and I was right. The children's menu is very good value and great quality, I had a couple of sides as I wasn't that hungry but wanted dessert (pregnant sweet tooth!), my mum had one of the fish dishes which she was happy about, my sister had mac and cheese side which she loved. We all had dessert, even my little niece who was very happy with her ice cream. I must give Bill's another try, although I am crediting this branch as their staff were so lovely and accommodating. Its a very lovely looking branch too, in the evening it looks very cosy with candles and soft lighting.

Always come here for breakfast when visiting Southampton. Although a bit pricey the food is delicious and always get a huge pot of tea. Pancakes definitely recommend too!

I love Bill's normally but was quite disappointed with my visit. The tea was wishy washy and undrinkable, the t pot appeared filthy. The food took forever to arrive but was nice when it did turn up.

Love this place!!! Part of the second development of West Quay, Bill’s offers a great friendly atmosphere and very tasty food. As you would expect prices are a little expensive but worth it! Might be worth booking in advance at peak times though!

Can't honestly say it beat seeing Take That or Rick Ashley but their ribs, Pims Spitzer and heaven on a plate their cinnamon doughtnuts came in a very close second Great service and loved the look and vibe of the place. Good food, friendly but slow service. Went there on a lunch break (£12 for a burger was a bit steep, but it was a good burger), and we had to ask for the bill with the food to make sure we kept to the hour. Be warned too, the service charge they charge doesn't go to your server directly!
