Reviews of COSMO All You Can Eat World Buffet Restaurant | Southampton
W. B.
Went here on my birthday with my Miss! Food is not bad but not sure the cleanliness as no one wearing mask or plastic gloves as strictly as previous reviews mentioned.
Just beware of the chocolate fountain as I saw a kid taking the marshmallow directly from the fountain. Not sure how long the restaurant would change the chocolate…
Anyway £15-16 per person on weekday night that can have buffet dinner is fair. And It’s really nice place to have once a half year or a year with your family and friends.

Absolutely love Cosmo. It's one of the most popular restaurants in Southampton so it's a clever idea to book if you want to avoid disappointment in being turned away. Staff are absolutely lovely. Never had bad meal here.
Thank you so much Cosmo
J. K. (.
Well presented buffet. Comfortable surroundings and Covid precautions in place. Very good service and friendly staff. Masks required whilst walking around. Asian, European/US/English and dessert areas. One way system in place. As many trips as you like. Good selection and great tasting. Desserts a little disappointing and drinks a little expensive, choose water, but overall good value for money.

Took my family to cosmo for the first time today and must say we really enjoyed it plenty of choice for everyone. Very good value for money. My only complaint would be the size chart for the kids as I have a daughter who is only eleven years old but she is pretty tall for her age, as I'm 6ft 6, so takes after me 😂. But she doesn't eat like an adult. Maybe would be a better idea to use age and proof of there age than height. But other than that we all enjoyed it and will definitely will be back. Scott

Lovely ambiance. Had a birthday dinner with friends. Great place to host friends and family. However, cosmo failed to refill some of the dishes like the pasta and a few others.

I was having the time of my life. I'd been to watch sing 2 and was tucking into the plentiful food when disaster struck. I'd left the biggest, juiciest rib on my plate and in the split second I was gone, with the speed of a young Usain Bolt, the waitor must have whipped away my plate. I think he wanted the rib to himself, for it was a beauty, and was in disbelief they thought I had finished such a meaty wonder. A cheeky irn bru before we left softened the blow despite giving many an opportunity at being ribbed by my annoying but fantastic friends.
W. K.
4 adults and 3kids, an unforgettable dinner with friends, first of all, praise the waiter for arranging comfortable seats, a wide variety of food, as well as special teppanyaki, sushi, dim sum and other global delicacies.
Will come again

I visited Cosmo in Southampton yesterday . Although the place was busy, but the food was generously available and everything was well organised. I can see there are more Asian staff compare to my last visit in December. Even though the restaurant were so full but the waiting staffs are still very friendly, always smile and professional not like other buffet restaurant. They have also implemented new policies by checking every customer receipt before they leave the building. I am really impress with the new system they are practicing now as it is absolutely impossible for such a busy restaurant like this.
Well done to Cosmo Management team. I highly recommending COSMO buffet restaurant especially Southampton branch and I consider it as the BEST in UK.
J. L.
COSMO is one of my favourite chains. I've been visiting the Reading branch for about 10 years.
This is my third visit to the Southampton branch and whilst the service was good, and food quality was reasonable, I really felt like the business is trying to scrimp and save where it can, compared to other visits, affecting the overall quality of the customer experience.
Several of the food stations have now gone, the quality of the meat wasn't great, and virtually everything in the Asian and Indian parts is now just chicken where as before they did other amazing dishes like lamb and pork.
Staff seemed to be stretched as thinly as possible too. During my last visit, there was a chef on each of the cooking stations, whereas yesterday there was one poor person running frantically between all of them.
I hope that these changes were a one off thing, but somehow I feel they're going to stay.
Shame.
P. L.
Value for money is good and for sure you can eat a lot. But the quality was not my cup of tea. It is a all you can eat place so I guess this is how it is. I would prefer less variety but better quality.
BTW the kids love the chocolate fontane... So hygiene wise not the best idea to eat from it. Many little fingers went already in 😉
ا.
Very good place to eat, food is amazing, very clean and tidy. Price is very reasonable.
My only thing I would say they need to improve is to add a couple of more spicier Indian dishes.
Drink prices were a bit expensive, I understand its refillable but other places do it for £1.99.
Other than that it was really good
L. H.
Wasn’t massively impressed with the customer service from the manager today. I had a table booked for 13 people but only 6 people could go due to illness. I had sent Facebook message and rang the restaurant 3 times and no one answered. I wanted to make them aware of the situation, I arrived early to the restaurant this evening to let them know and she basically had a go at me telling me to write in email or call (which I did) but when I tried to show her she walked away from me. I found her very rude and kept interrupting me when I tried to explain myself. I understand it was busy due to half term but there is no way you should treat your customers with this attitude.
Overall food was okay, same as it always is. Could walk round there with my eyes closed and know where each thing is.

Came down to Southampton at the weekend and we decided to get some munch before catching the train back home. We'd never heard of Cosmo before but will most definitely be passing it on to friends and family. Well this one at least. (Reviews for the one in Croyden are not too good). Restaurant was clean, food was fresh, and staff were friendly and efficient. Great value for money.
G.
A good buffet. Why not 5 starts? Well the price of admission is ~£22. £16 for entry and £6 for a non-alcoholic drink. With world food buffet just around the corner and it presenting a similar selection at a cheaper price i sould recommended going there. Still if you do eat here you are guaranteed good service and a wide selection of foods. Also there seems to be a few "hidden" items you have to order by going to the cateres and asking them to cook it for you. So make sure to ask the caterers there if you want some burgers!
R. W.
Came here for lunch with some friends, the atmosphere was very chaotic and the queues to order drinks were always long. Staff were efficient but had no time to be friendly so it felt very clinical. Food was varied but nothing to write home about. A very average eating experience
M. P.
Been to a few of these branches but the one nearest to me closed down for reasons unknown. As we were in the area we decided to go. I was not disappointed and I felt that this was probably one of the best branches I had been to.
The staff were very friendly at the welcoming desk. It was busy at the time of our visit but this wasn't a problem. Some of the staff didn't appear too approachable but this could be due to how busy it was.
Presentation of food and quantity was really good. One thing to bare in mind is that everything is sorted in regions as opposed starters, mains, desserts. Everything that I ate was at perfect temperature.
Pricing was very reasonable and if it was closer I would come back again.
T. W. L.
Great value for food variety. Customer service lacked at the table ad it took 20 minutes to get 2 soft drinks. That was after we spoke to a 2nd waiter. That was the only issue.
T.
Went for 50th birthday was very very busy you need to book! Tables very close together, Some of food only look warm and kept running out but overall good selection & all savoury food nice, desserts bit disappointing! staff mostly friendly £18.50 on a Sunday plus 5% service charge on groups of 5+
W. J. L.
Good option when one is in the mood for eating too much! Decent selection of food, straightforward food acquisition process, and plastic barriers between tables. I attended on a Sunday evening, thus was quite crowded and busy. All in all, a good experience! :)
L. D.
Good hot freshly cooked food. Good variety. Staff attentive and quick service. Does get very busy. You must book in advance
S. R.
Went here with my carnivorous family, they seemed to enjoyed it. I am a vegetarian and found the options very limited so it seemed expensive for a vege visitor.
The desserts were also quite bland.
L. W.
Never disappointed. Amazing restaurant! Good services, good food and good price! Suggest you to go with family and friends.
I will visit again and again.
R. T.
Very lovely restaurant with great foods.. management and staff very helpful.. waiters and waitresses always clear away unwanted plate away.. 5 stars restaurant 🥰🥰🥰
S. J.
Great food, lovely atmosphere.
j. b.
Lots of options, nice atmosphere, table service for drinks and lively
I. B.
Just had a fantastic feast here, the food is good quality & cooked to perfection. Lots of different food to choose from, Chinese, Indian, Italian, English etc. Reasonable price as you can eat as much as you like, also the deserts are great too. We didn't book, so had to wait around 5 mins for a table to come available. Highly recommended.
K. W.
Food from around the world, all you can eat for £18.00. When I was taken there for my Birthday mine was free, fantastic food from roast dinners, to Italian, Thai, Chinese and many more, help yourself to a feast, nice seating arrangements, and great Bar service, book before you go, and nearly forgot because it was my birthday we were treated to prosecco for free.
S. B.
Had an amazing experience here, such a fabulous selection of dishes from around the world. I particularly liked the salt & pepper crispy prawns along with the steak and Callamari you could get cooked from fresh to your liking . There was also a beautiful desserts bar with a 4 tier chocolate dipping station where you could dip your fruits and marshmallows etc in it.
Service was efficient and restaurant very clean along with friendly staff. Well worth a visit if you have not yet been.
I was visiting from Sydney Australia celebrating with my friend whom l had known for 50 years so it was a perfect place to go l would definitely return.
S. E.
Good food like always. And a lot of variety. Best place to go.
C. S.
Went here on Saturday 25th what a lovely place food was amazing we and my family had a wonderful time would recommend to anyone
Will definitely be going back
M. T.
The chinese selection was amazing - highly recommend the sweet & sour chicken and stir fry mushrooms. Indian was a disappointment as no chicken tikka masala and the korma was very runny, although the onion bhajis were lovely. The ice cream tubs were soft & the whippy ice cream too runny but nice to see a white choc fountain. Overall great value for money.
M. C.
Food was pretty decent for the price. Being a vegetarian, I still had reasonable selection of dishes to choose from. It's definitely value for money. Ambience was alright but can be a bit too crowded at times.
J. H.
Staff were helpful and the system in place to move everyone through quickly was efficient. The quality of the Chinese food was excellent however indian curries were poor. We were given 1 hour to eat which didn't seem like a lot but that could have been because we didn't book in advance.
Z. Z.
It is a nice and busy place. There are really lots of different tasty meals. I live the idea to allow customers to try as much as they can.
M. B.
Wonderful variety of Buffet. Family-friendly but not the child-friendly environment or play area to entertain young ones but there are high chairs for kids. Delicious food.
K. G.
Food was alright/good, plenty of variety. Was very strict with cleanliness when you went to get your food as you had to wear a glove (very good idea).
However I will say that our table was never cleared until we asked someone to come over after waiting for ages. Even after we had gone to get pudding, we came back and our plates were still there, and were still when we left entirely.
D. M.
Pay just 17£ and eat whatever you want and how much you want! Continental, Asian, Indian cuisine! Ice cream, yogurt, and fruit. Good location! A separate elevator for the restaurant makes your visit very convenient!
J. K. (.
This restaurant is quite nice. They have many dishes and their hall is also spacious. One of my friends ate about 10 dishes here all alone. They offer student discount!
K. W.
Always busy so make a booking before you come in. But it's always warm buffet and its full with fresh food. Staff are really really helpful. Prices are cool 😎 enjoy their
J.
I've visited this place twice, and after the first visit I'd have to give it little more than 2 stars. The first time I went, the allergy menu was so bad. It was a massive binder that you had to carry around with you and the menu items were very unclear with it, so on that basis I wouldn't have recommended it to anyone suffering from an allergy. HOWEVER, my most recent visit was very positive, as they now list the allergens next to the food at the buffet.
This small change makes the whole thing about 100 times better, and it's really good to see they fixed it.
The food is fine but as you would expect, nothing to write home about. It's varied and you get good value for money if you eat a lot! Staff seem helpful enough and it's a good place to grab a meal.
S. W.
Liked the wide variety of food. Service was quick. Staff were polite. Tasty food. I feel there needs to be a sign, or staff enforcement for kids to be supervised though. Saw children licking things and putting it back, and putting they're hands over everything. Not ideal during a pandemic. Maybe avoid the dessert toppings and choc fountain if you're worried about germs.
P. D.
Really good food. Been here before over a year ago and wasn't impressed but decided to come and take the wife out. The food was amazing and the selection was plenty. The service for drinks and taking plates away was spot on. Will come back again.
A. R.
Lots and lots of different food to choose from, generally all was good.
Waiting staff could use some more customer service skills but other than that was a pleasant experience
S. H.
Lovely place to eat, suitable for children as plenty to choose from. Some of the food wasn't quite hot enough for my liking but tasted good
E. H.
Okay restaurant, food is okay, nothing special, but it's a world buffet for its not ever going to be amazing quality. If you are looking to stuff your face with a wide variety of mediocre food, definitely come here. It is more of a family place, so it is very loud, and there are loads of kids running about.
A. H.
Slight hiccup at the front desk due to not being able to initially find our booking, it was eventually all sorted though. The food was excellent and there's a huge variety, the service was first class and we all enjoyed ourselves, highly recommended!
N. K.
Food is good quality, very busy and large queue's. Often turned away. Only had the scallops available once which is frustrating.
w. t.
Been before. Nice place with very good staff. Some of the food wasn't really hot enough. Everything tasted good though. I got my dinner free as it was my birthday which was a really great surprise. Definitely will visit again. Thanks for a great evening
U. S.
For £16 it’s what you expect, range of food but nothing special and expensive drinks. EXTREMELY BUSY if you want a quite meal then stay away but if you want valise for money this is your place!!
G. E.
Very good value for the price paid
Some of the food quality was not great but on the whole was good
The staff on the other hand were fantastic and very attentive
C. H.
A wonderful selection of food, the best being the hot food stations. A world buffet with an excellent variety of favourite foods and unique dishes that I wouldn't necessarily have picked for myself.
The soft drinks are refillable, there is a chocolate fountain and ice cream machine so there's no risk of going home hungry 😂
L. M.
Nice food with plenty of choice. Only problem is at these food outlets is that some parents let their children help themselves without assistance, picking and touching food without actually taking it.
J. K.
Love this place. A great selection with reasonable food. It's not the most incredible tasting but more than makes up for it in quantity and choice. Always able to find something to tickle the tastebuds! Can get busy in the evenings so book ahead to guarantee a table
K. B.
Lovely experience and food was amazing. Definitely will be going back.
L. A.
Brilliant food choice, great quality considering the amount they cater for. Don't think you'd find much if you are glueten free, but otherwise it's great.
Q. A.
My experience was great. From the reception to the variety of delicious meals prepared with absolute care and served with love. It was truly a great experience.
t. a.
Very nice restaurant, a lot of food. Large range of choices. Really recommend you to try
O. G.
Good food with a wide variety of options. The customer service was also good and the buffet was indeed worth the price
Z. S.
Fantastic food. Super service, low prices. We will come back here again.
A. D.
Beautiful restaurant and lovely food. Our waitress, I think her name was Ellie, gave amazing service. We will definitely be back.
a. g.
Beautiful restaurant with nice seating areas . Staffs are amazing . Always there to help the customers . Food was amazing , especially Chinese got plenty of varieties . Only downside is Indian foods are not really great and not many varieties either .
J. M.
My husband and I had a fabulous meal at Cosmo celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary.
Food and staff outstanding, as always 😊
N. J.
Best restaurant in Southampton in my view for Quantity, quality, choice and value for money. Been here many times since it opened and will continue to do so.
P. L.
This place offers some great ethnic cuisine, especially considering it's tucked away in Hampshire. The food is fresh and full of flavour. The staff are friendly. Every trip to Southampton includes a visit to Cosmos.
E. O.
Great selection of food and really fresh for a world buffet
I would advise you to check ahead and book a table as this place can get very busy during peak periods meaning that the bar/waiting area gets extremely full and having the entrance up a very narrow spiral staircase is not the best idea when foot traffic is heavy, they should really have someone downstairs at the front door to advise you of waiting times instead of fighting to get upstairs first
L. S.
Fantastic! Everywhere was clean and tidy, food was very nice indeed and the staff were all very polite.
B. L.
The food is better than I last visit. It would be great if it provides free parking.
S. D.
All quantity no quality seasoning missing altogether. But great place for youngsters the ones we were with loved it. So great for kids not so much for discerning afults
C. J. G.
We had a great time eating with my Aunt and her family who introduced me to this place. Cosmo serves variety of delicious food according to our preference. I love the grilling station and I think I ate a lot of grilled chicken wings and pork ribs. They have sweet corners as well for those who like to eat ice cream, cakes and fresh fruits which I enjoyed very much.
A. J. (.
We went here for my friend's daughter's birthday on Monday. The company and food was amazing!
C. H.
Very nice
Attentive staff
Decent food
Bright and clean, not too noisy
K. H.
Food is pretty good, cooked food was little bit soggy or overdone in places but to be expected in an environment where food is kept warm in containers for periods of time, just the tiniest bit disappointing still. Otherwise the prices are fair and the place is clean. The desserts were good and the food was mostly very tasty. I can't fault anything else about the experience other than a few bad dishes.
M. M.
Not the best all you can eat but the food was good and quite a large selection
N. P.
Been there in August. The booking was at 19:30. Most of the food was nice, but we couldn’t try too many dishes. Unfortunately, most of them were finished. A bit disappointing. 19:30 is the busiest time and the kitchen meant to make sure they are ok the food stock. I would try to go again. Maybe we can get the chance to try them.
S.
Always come here for our birthdays, children love it. The staff are very helpful and nice. Wild recommend for families
M. R.
By far the best buffet place around. Not only do they have a wide variety of food selections but they all are cooked perfectly.
The staff are always approachable and friendly and can't do enough for you.
I've been to a few different buffet places and none of them compare to Cosmo. If you are wondering which one to go to, I highly recommend here. You will not be disappointed.
The price you pay is very good value for money for the food, staff and experience you get.
I took my sister for her birthday and her meal was free because of this. It was such a lovely surprise to find out and seemed like a extra little present for her.
Everyone needs to go to Cosmo. What are you waiting for?
J. C.
It was lovely. Been there 3 times now with my family and it was great. Chicken lovely, Chinese, curry all the deserts were Delicious. I would advise you too book as it does get busy. But had a great time.
P. C.
Brilliant food, with a great variety of different options of what to eat. Staff friendly and very welcoming.
K. M.
The food is ok but nothing special. Basing a child on their height was a bit silly, one of the kids is very tall for his age but he barely eats a thing plus he's a total fuss pot with food. He only had 2 pizza slices yet was charged as an adult (he's 10yrs).
It can get incredibly busy there and trying to get a drink from the staff was a pain. Try and ask and you end up talking to a member of staff who can't take drink orders (confusing).
I'm unlikely to go back at my own choice which is a shame as I've been to other Cosmos and they've been great, the Southampton one not so much.
P. H.
Good place to visit if you like your food buffet style.
A good selection of different foods from around the world which you can sample with no hassle.
The dessert section is good, even if the portions seem small, it just allows you to sample more than one 😁😁😁
It was busy on the Friday night but the staff seemed to keep the tables clear with the COVID restrictions in place.
Not too expensive when you consider the choice and how much you can eat 😁
E. B. H.
Not too bad... It is a bit pretentious to call itself "Authentic World Kitchen", as the world kitchen is not limited to Asian, Italian, Indian and BBQ... They need a lot more variety to get even close to a "global banquet"...
G. D.
Don't go if you only want English food. You've got to try everything and save yourself for puddings as there's lots of them. Had trouble moving as I was so full
S. C.
Lovely experience for a birthday meal, use a glove to serve yourself, werid floor plan all due to covid and all next to the shopping centre
M. P.
Very good, lots of different type of world cuisine, food fresh and tasty. Stuff very friendly
L. G.
Wow ! Awesome place to eat, literally everything under one roof. Huge selection of food, desserts and drinks. Good price, great value.
Y. T.
Perfect location + Nice decoration + great food variety +- Average food quality - below average dessert + friendly service = A Nice diner experience !
m. s.
Been there last week, food was alright and pocket friendly. But poor quality.
D. R. E.
My friends and l had a very enjoyable evening. The food was excellent and the staff attentive. Full praise must go to Callam (l think that was his name) He was a trainee that had only been there a week. Great customer service and care and very helpful when we asked questions. Will definitely be back
D. E.
If you know cosmos you know the sheer quantity and choice of food offsets some of the quality. But value for money is excellent with a variety of works cuisines and satisfying food.
Not the restaurants fault really, but it can be busy and kids running around so don't expect a quiet peaceful romantic dinner here.
But defo the place if you're very hungry, in a casual mood and don't mind busier restaurants
C. L. M.
Great place, great food and lots of choice. Fully recommend. So much food to choose from.
R. R.
The food was very good and the restaurant was well laid out. The only issue that we had was that given the current covid situation we felt that the table spacing was inadequate. As the restaurant became busy this issue became more apparent as such my wife and I decided to leave quickly.
B. b.
Great food to select from fr o m beef burgers to India curries and Chinese and sushi.
M. S.
Really enjoyed this buffet, good selection of food from all areas of the world, nothing ran out (as far as I was concerned).
Will definitely be returning!!
D. B.
Aways a lovely service by staff, huge variety of different foods
a. A.
I’ve visited this place many times and every time is just amazing. Love the food , love the workers. In here , you can get a variety of cuisine , Chinese , Indian , Italian , and English .
Totally worth the money . And I surely recommend it
A. S.
Good selection done well. Staff are superb. Just make sure you follow the one way system in place at the moment. I didn't, and got quite rightly told to by a very polite staff member. If complacent oafs like I were allowed to break the rules everywhere we wonder then these establishments would be forced to close due to another Spike! Follow to rules and enjoy your curry. If you complain, no chow mein!
P. n. p. Ł.
Perfect place for dinner for two, family time and more. Food delicious and fresh. Recommended.
T. M.
The variety of food was larger than expected and the quality of the food was excellent the staff were polite and friendly.
m.
Excellent venue and a vast array of food, staff very friendly and very helpful, a must visit for any trip to southampton.
S. L. B.
There must be 100 different choices of food! Our old plates were removed from the table before we returned with another plate full of more delicious food. The desserts we're decadent.
B. C.
We visited the restaurant yesterday. We have not booked any table and the help we received from Sandy was amazing such a nice and polite girl, she helped us getting a table with no trouble. I would like to say that the service in restaurant is also nice. Staff were very helpful. Overall we had great experience and we will definitely come back and recommend to our friend and family :)
V. U.
Always enjoyed each visit, celebrated birthdays ,work reunion ,romantic dinner, visit with family and friends. All round occasions catered for.
100%👌
G. D.
I went there 10 min after opening time, there is a big selection of food, the staff is very polite, all you can eat and drink (soft drinks). The food is not too bad
B. R.
Staff are really good, polite and efficient with cleaning and serving.
Food quality is good and there are enough of everythings. But in comparison with the other competitor (nearby), I was not impressed with food variety and layout of food section.
H. L. W.
Nice buffet, good atmosphere. Plenty of food varieties that suit all people's preference in food. So, I don't have to worry anymore, my children can have what they like and I can enjoy my Teppanyaki!!! (Japanese style grill on display)
X. Q.
very nice place!friendly staff and lovely dinner!disagree with those one star reviews as well…it makes me almost miss this nice restaurant…will come again defintely~
C. M.
Good value for money, plenty of choices. Does get a bit busy, even on week evenings.
R. W.
You said 'Keep doing what you are doing. '
Anup:
Our visit to Southampton was such a delight. We had 2 birthdays to celebrate. 5 people (2 new to the restaurant experience).
Anup greeted us after checking in and made us all feel very welcome.
He was friendly and really cared about our experience.
He helped my grandparents with the gloves when they struggled.
He checked in on us throughout our stay and even gave us some surprises (Birthday cakes, candles and a lovely song).
I could not recommend the service more after our experience and hope to see you again for our next dual birthday in August.
Rest of Staff:
The food was amazing and the staff were constantly cleaning the tables.
Any concerns about attending such a busy restaurant during the Pandemic were quickly calmed and I will be letting my friends know of our great experience today.
Winter Family
G. L.
Good pricing and service!
M. N.
Great food, need to bring back the pan dan buns
A. A.
Great place to eat especially with kids. Always book in advance.
#. M.
Been a few times all been good apart from the last one . We went for lunch a hour be for it Finnished and many trays where empty and they didn't refill many of them . So not the best time there at all for us
A. R.
Don't like the curry made with chicken wings as some of them were not cooked thoroughly. I am concerned at the amount of plastic they use from disposable gloves every time you get food to the containers for the food especially the desserts, maybe it would be nice to cut down on the amount.
S. T.
Always happy when we leave here. We can't ever make a descion for food so we catered for all. All the dishes were hot and tasty, chinese Indian Italian fast foods, roasts, sushi and the puddings. Mini cake heaven and ice cream, chocolate fountain.
M. A.
We (my wife and daughter) visited for lunch today. Overall atmosphere is good. Welcoming and friendly staff.
For food we have a mixed feeling. This may not be overall relevant and I will try and explain.
We only eat halal and were advised that indian section is only halal so that means we did not have access to other cusines. In indian section the food was just ok. Chicken and Lamb dishes were both sweet and lacking the authentic asian element for an indian dinning experience. Naan bread was soggy and thick again not something we were expecting. There was only one rice dish which was basically plain rice and we were expecting atleast one dish like biryani or pulao with some meat options.
For dessert, there were plenty of options and some were good. On some of the cakes it felt like freshness was missing i.e. when it is not a fugde cake and it is fresh cream then you expect that to be soft etc. But overall desert section had plenty of options and being a sweet tooth i tried many and they were overall good.
Overall a good experience, but I may choose something else for dinning and it could totally be because of my food selection options and may not be the same for everyone.

Variety of food and quantity with regular quality 🥘anyway you must be starving if you want to go
t. b.
Was ok didn't eat alot but the company made up for it,will come again

Booked for a group for my daughters 21st birthday . Everyone had a great time . The staff were lovely and even sung happy birthday to my daughter. Thank you Iga for a great night.
A. A.
I loved the experience lots of vegetarian items.. Fabulous
K. A.
Great value for money, food amazing ,way better than the 1 in Eastbourne
A. C.
Booking advisable. Fab selection of buffet food. Friendly, helpful staff.
S. W.
Family friendly. Great service and extensive choice of food
R. W.
But I've now got covid and the only time I go out and I get covid so do more deep cleaning and don't space people so close together every other table. Food was great tho
J. T.
First visit since covid for Sat lunch and was impressed with how the staff handled everything and the food was fresh, tasty and replenished frequently. I personally feel the Chinese food is better than the Indian but ate plenty of both and sushi and Dim sum so all in all 5 stars
s.
Great selection of food always enjoy dining here
P. v.
Not bad for the price.. but I didn't feel something exciting
I.
Booked for my daughter’s bday it was a busy night first time to visit during Covid restrictions. One way system, dispo. gloves and wearing of mask when getting food. Food was good lots of choices, excellent service by the team, plates being cleared, unlimited drinks, discount paid on final bill. I will come back, best to book online to guarantee a table. Thanks!
S. P.
Good mix of food, sweet and sour chicken was my fav
M. O.
Really good selection of food. Options for vegetarians are slightly limited but the food was enjoyable. I claimed the free meal they give you on your birthday with no hassle and all of the staff were lovely.
A. Z.
Great value for money. Food is fresh and tasty. Restaurant is well kept and clean
N. H.
The first time I went to Cosmo was before the lockdown and I thought the food was fantastic all-you-can-eat for so much money I think it's fantastic... and I can't wait until it properly reopened again I would love to go back... I have never seen one in Leeds that's where I live... the staff of Fantastic in this place they are always polite..
t. p.
Wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was to be honest.
It was very busy, but this just seemed to give a good atmosphere, and how they managed to keep up with demand with such a diverse range of food frankly blew my mind.
The families that were there with younger children all seemed to be very well behaved perhaps because this isn't your usual burger joint type of establishment, and on the whole as a person who normally prefers quiet country pubs, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Would I go every week? No. Would I go again? Definitely.
K. M.
Lots of variety, lots of tastes and textures.... w9rth every penny
E. L.
The best place ever!!! 5stars,excellent food quality and service, nice ambient!!!
J. T.
It was really busy when i went and the buffet is cordoned off with a very narrow one way system (covid regs) so you cant just go to the area you want, you have to queue the whole thing which was annoying. Despite that, food was excellent, staff very attentive and is reasonably priced.
R. F.
Would have been a total win win had I gone there with my kids.
D. L.
Wonderful service and food and very friendly and attentive staff, especially Kayleigh and the manager Iga and two trainees ( sorry we didn't catch their names and sorry for the misspelled names) but still amazing restaurant and will be visiting again.
D. P.
It was amazing we had a family gathering of 9 and the staff at Cosmo were so lovely. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
D. V.
Very polite staff, nice food. Sometimes staff over keen and try to take your plate when you are still eating from it!
d. g.
paid a visit tonight with family and friends. once again a very positive visit, excellent food and service. big shout to Wanderson and his team on how they had sat out and maintained social distancing protocols. will definitely go there again.
E. W.
Great food and they have Iron Brew on tap
L. B.
Charging people in height not age my 12 year had to pay for an adult, what is wrong when he's still a child.
M. H.
Amazing value for money. Best food emporium ever! Polite staff too.
J. M.
Book before going to save disappointment. Variety of different fantastic foods self service all you can eat. Staff fabulous and very polite.
C. C. M. (. P. S.
The food is good, mostly Oriental based with some Indian foods
P. J. N.
Nice restaurant. Really loved it, a bit busy but worth the wait.
C. E.
A picture of my fourth plate already... Food is good...
P. Y.
The food was good, but I had a hard time getting staff to serve me drinks (due to there covid rules). After which i noticed two kinds of staff, happy ones that wanted to help in any way and others that had a bad attitude 😒. I will go back bit only when I can get my own drinks 🍸
J. H.
Have always loved it at Cosmo. First visit post lockdown and although the masks gloves, sanitiser and one way system were excellent ideas, the social distancing was not being observed by many and no one was enforcing it. The food however was amazing as always.
A. L.
This was pretty much as you'd expect for a £16 all-you-can-eat buffet. Good selection of foods but nearly all overcooked and dry. Decor is decent but not the reason you'd go there. Service was good but that's because 90% of it was technically done by myself. If you don't mind the quality of food and you have a good appetite then this place is great.
I'd eat here again but wouldn't be my first choice for somewhere to go and I would advise booking a table beforehand or you could be in for a little wait.
L. W.
It is the second time I went and it was a massive disappointment.
Went for my partner’s birthday party 14 of us only to be sitter against a wall and on a bench so every time one wanted to go everyone had to move to let them pass. Instead of gathering the tables together we had three tables apart so we didn’t really interact with each other.
The dessert section is nice but every one put their hand in the sweets as there is no spoon to help yourself.
The Sushi section which is my favourite food was very limited.
But I have to admit that the food is very tasty.
Won’t be going back in a hurry.
K.
No social Distancing going on and the selection wasn't as good as it has been in the past. A really pricey place for lunch, probably best to save this place for dinner. Not sure I'd go for lunch again.
D. L.
Went in after the second lockdown and the variety of food is really good, hopefully the live cooking experiences will be back soon. I just hope that there will be a better choice and quality of Sunday Roast dinners in there as it didn't look very good last time I went in.
S. K.
Great value for money, didn't feel rushed, always busy but you can take your time getting your food. Go in the evening and you have a far better choice of dishes although for the money, lunchtime is sufficient. Service is good, plenty of staff who are on the ball. Soft drink refills are available as well as bar service. Go on, give it a go.
I. C.
Dinner time buffets are great. So many different cuisines, each cooked well.
S. T.
Visited Cosmo with family having mixed views of buffet restaurants. Really surprised by the number of different options on offer. Everything I tried tasted nice although some food was a bit colder than I would have liked. The kids loved the choices and the chocolate fountains for pudding were there highlight. Not somewhere to go for a fancy meal but for the price we paid I was really impressed.
m. a.
Superb choice at a fixed price. Very crowded but they still found us a table without booking at very short notice.
Outstanding value and food quality. We love choosing our own items and being able to try as many things as possible without limits. Except our own greed of course. Can't wait to get one in Preston.
C. H.
Service brilliant from start to finish. Have to mention ANUP who was so helpful and attentive he even gave us a free meal for one of our group birthday thanks for a brilliant evening
M. D. U.
Busy and most foot was very fatty and bland in taste.
J. S.
Very noisy on a Sunday food ok but not great and pretty expensive
B.
For me, when it comes to all you can eat options I do prefer cooked to order. This place offers a huge range of dishes all attended to by the staff to ensure the quality and quantity is up to scratch. I felt there was a lack of Chinese starter options however saying that, there is a huge amount of choice of other cuisine. There is a live cooking station with a chef ready to grill your steak or a selection of fish. The dessert area has a chocolate fountain and buckets of sweets which is ideal for the kids. This place gets very busy so make sure you book in advance, especially for the evenings.
A. R.
The variety and quality of food was good and worth the price.
D. c.
Booked a table for 9 as it’s my partners birthday.
I have a allergy to Egg and Nut, I rarely go out to restaurants due to this, although typically restaurants are slowly getting better with allergy advice, I still find it easier to stick to what I know & not venture outside of it.
However Cosmo has changed my mind this is a cracking place, food was very well presented, and EVERYTHING has allergy advice, for me this is fantastic as I can just go around and help myself as I pick and choose. The food was very well laid out in cuisine sections, everything was clean and fresh, the atmosphere was excellent, ambient room temperature was brilliant, not a miserable face in the building and it was packed, I didn’t feel uncomfortable once, the food just kept coming and coming. I usually struggle with eating desserts aswell but this place does indeed cater for anyone !
The staff were fantastic, from the minute we walked in to the end and nothing was too much for any of them.
We were all very impressed & I will definitely be returning !
Kind regards,
Dan.
C. A.
Lol. Trust me the food was splendid!!!. Eat as you like. Very affordable. One advice: don't eat before u go there. Hahahah
D. N.
Very very busy at the weekend. Staff was great but the food was average, not a single dish stands out. Good for a big group but if there are less than 4 people, better spend the money at a nice restaurant and enjoy a small selection of delicious dishes and wine.
Personally i hate to see so much food waste in a restaurant, both because people took more than they could eat and also the food wasnt that great.
The staff has to clean the table without any tool/ trays making it very slow & dangerous. There were always children running. Better if you have a trolley to collect food waste and plates.
S. S.
Food was lovely. Staff showed us to our table then just left us, never spoke to us. We had to ask what to do as this was our first visit. Staff brought us other tables drinks and didn't seem to know if we had ordered them or not, so 'left them just incase'. Due to no one telling us about how it all works when we were seated we didn't know you have a time limit to eat and were practically kicked off the table while some of us were still eating desert and refused more drinks. Long cue to pay, service charge added (which is on Website), but just wonder for what as staff only cleared plates as on every other table, large or small and our party was actually split over 3 tables anyway. Lovely food, just too busy and unfriendly staff. Wouldn't go again.
p. t.
The atmosphere was very nice, however some of the food didn't quite taste right (some was burned and harder than it should be, for example some of the sweets that are meant to be soft, were not). The pizza had a weird aftertaste and almost stuck to the roof of my mouth. Overall it was very tasty, however. The skill the chefs have at the live cooking stations are amazing, and I had no qualms with them.
H. F.
Large range of food and appreciated the different chocolate fountains (though I mean, who wouldn't!) The only things I didn't like, though makes sense due to the busyness and constant flow of people, were the empty ice machines and how the plates that had been cleaned were left under hot lamps to dry, so didn't feel that nice to touch, pickup and place food on.
Me and the group I was with turned up at round seven, maybe eight and when we finished and queued to pay by the bar area, the older asian man that served us was quite rude, putting up a hand in one of ours faces when they went to talk to him, ignoring them and carrying on cashing with a scowl. For all the talk of how rude it is to click at waiters I found this equally rude and is probably the biggest reason for why I've not scored higher. I get that its a large busy restaurant but there's no need for behaviour like it really.
W. G.
The queue can be long, but the self service is very quick. You can choose what cuisine you eat and how much you put on your plate then you can try something different or go back for seconds. The food is well prepared, always stocked up for your self service. Lots to choose from. Being a large group with a table pre-booked were not disappointed.
K. C.
Food amazing tried lots of different things chocolate fountain the highlight highly recommend
F.
Had some noodles - good, I liked them! My second plate, pizza - standard, not a fan, a little stale. Good staff - friendly.
Dessert - not much because a lot of stuff ran out. Managed to get a mini choc mousse - don't like it. Grapes 👍plastic plates 👎 but it's okay I don't mind. Nice atmosphere. Better than JRC Buffet to be honest.
OPINIONS:
"I don't know. They closed the buffet before everyone left; they should close after everyone leaves." - My sister
"The only thing I enjoyed was the sushi." - my cousin
"Curry isn't nice, not enough options" - my mum
(I don't share the same exact opinions as my family, but we have similar views)
The rest of my relatives would rate this restaurant a 2 or 3. The most fun thing I've done here is make a review about it lol
M. N.
Loved it nice range of food.
N. B.
Great value for money if you like a hot buffet, with lots of different menus from around the world to choose from.
J. P.
As a global, budget, all-you-can-eat buffet, Cosmo delivers exactly what you'd expect.
The food is not gourmet quality but it was good enough for the price, albeit slightly dry in the meat department. A lot of the Asian dishes were exactly the same as I've seen in other buffet establishments. Still, there was a wide selection in the evening and the food was replenished frequently so there weren't really any empty sections.
Being self-service, there wasn't a lot in the way of staff interaction beyond being shown to the table, ordering our drinks, receiving our glasses, and having empty plates taken away. Everyone was pleasant enough, despite the fact they looked constantly rushed off their feet.
The interior is one of the better in this genre of eatery, as it at least gives the impression you are in a more upmarket venue.
Overall, a pleasant enough experience and to coin a generic term; you get what you pay for.
B. A.
Very good food, and very helpful staff.
C. L.
Fantastic dishes and delectable desserts. A great variety to select from. You'll be spoilt for choice. Weekday Buffet lunch cheaper of course, £8.99. Pay additional for bottomless drink.
Good housekeeping all round, WC well maintained. Service excellent and staff are friendly.
S. A.
Amazing place, friendly staff, food is so tasty 😋, prices are very reasonable.
M. B.
Great food staff were amazing. Some people still can't get to grips with a one way system . But well done for Cosmo for putting in the measures at this current time
s. j.
Food was nice but not hot
H. C.
Food is good but the quality could use work. Service is nice, good for big groups. Decent variety
M. P.
Went there on a Thursday evening for a bite to eat.... it was very busy so I suggest you book. I however didn't and the staff were great... they gave me a buzzer and we went for a drink at the bar until a table was ready.... we had one by the window that overlooked the light show projected on the castle walls which was really entertaining... the staff were all very friendly especially Omar the boss who introduced himself and seemed to be everywhere at once keeping an eye on everything.... the food was all fresh.... which is hard to do at a buffet restaurant and the selection was amazing. The tables were cleared swiftly and the toilets were immaculate.... We were the last people to leave but were told there was no rush and to take our time as it was our night.... so nice to hear. When we did eventually leave after all we could eat and a really nice bottle of Merlot for a total bill of £41... it was with big smiles from the staff and a handshake from Omar.... After making what was to be an ordinary night so special we will not be eating anywhere else in Southampton. WELL DONE COSMO.
S. G.
Great food. Great choices and service
u. o.
Was super amazing. But it would be more better if they can include African meal in the buffet ( jollof rice, rice and tomato stew, swallow and any soup, yam and egg sauce)
J. M.
Staff were really friendly and the food was fantastic. Ive never had a bad experience going here.
A. M.
I love this restaurant! I've been there about 4 or 5 times since it's opened, and I have recently been there for my 21st and I have got to say it is the best restaurant I have ever been to (and I have had my fair share of restaurants)! The service is great, the range and quality of food is fabulous and I even had a free dinner for my birthday! Even my mum and dad love it and they are really fussy when it comes to food!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and will continue to visit as I love it so much.
d. s.
Huge varieties f food, good place to hangout
I. W.
Absolutely amazing food and service from all staff. Omar the manager and his team take care of you even if its busy making every visit special
G. S.
A great selection of tasty food is on offer, so much choice. Always a good atmosphere, and the place has a nice feel with vibrant modern decor. Friendly and helpful staff... The only let down is the reservation system. Have pre-booked twice now for a certain time, and both times we have had to stand around for 20 minutes waiting. If this issue was addressed, it would be the difference between 4 stars and 5.
G. G.
The food was amazing today. Couldn't fault it 👌🏼
A. L.
I took my son last week. Booked in advance which I'd recommend rather than just turning up. Upon arrival we were shown to our table and our drink order taken. Both had soft drink which is help yourself. Had to wait almost 10 minutes for our glasses though. As for the food it was OK. Nothing bad about it, but nothing stood out either. The whole experience was just OK. A real take it or leave it restaurant
C. H.
First experience here at theall you can eat buffet and I loved it. Once you've finished eating the waiters come and clear your plates and up you go again. Amazing choice of food. Loved the while you wait cooking station. Had beautiful squid and giant prawns cooked perfectly. A must to visit if in Southampton.
J. T. (.
Fabulous in all means. Reasonable price, tasty food and friendly staff. We keep visiting this place again.
K.
Great place especially if you like a wide range of food or just cant decide what you want to eat so you have a bit of everything you like. Staff are helpful and friendly and they do table service but charge for it and add it on at the end of the meal. I also advise booking a table otherwise you could be waiting for sometime before you get to sit down especially in the evenings and at weekends. Lovely place though.
R. S.
Really good food I ate far to much and the waiting staff were second to none Really good will definitely go again
R. J.
Came in today, 17/10/20 was greater by a man who explained everything and was very polite and kind, gave my son a face mask as didn't have one for him. All staff very polite and friendly. Lots of cleaning going on. Very happy indeed
d.
This place is perfect for your lovely, peaceful and yummy food. There is an all you can eat at midday and you can order food by dinner time. We went for an all you can eat and it was beautiful. Lovely comfy places to sit and delicious smelling food to smell. The food there has Indian Chinese and burgers aswell as pizza. The only downfall is that this place costs quite a bit. But all in all definitely go to this delicious place to eat world wide food
F. P.
Went with a hungry bunch of mates. Great atmosphere, and a fantastic range of food from around the world. Generally, very good quality food for a buffet. Really impressed with the weekday price. Nice that they offer a bottomless soft drink option too. Sushi was a bit bland, but the wasabi heat made up for it. King prawns were not flushed and a bit over fried, but for the price, you can overlook that. Will be returning again soon.
S. G.
Been here twice now, once in the evening and today at lunchtime and I must say both sittings was excellent. A very large range to choose from, kids can try new things without the worry of having to starve if they don't like it and the desserts are amazing!!! I just can't so no to having dessert there. Staff are great and welcoming, and you certainly get your money's worth. Will visit again soon x
S. E.
Good food choice and fun atmosphere!
D. W.
Good quality world buffet food with a very reasonably priced lunch menu. We went there for my sister's birthday and the staff were very accomodating with the birthday cake we brought with us, service was attentive and delivered with a smile, and used plates were cleared from our table quickly.
Restaurant decor was very impressive, it was like stepping into a very posh, high end restaurant. We were seated very quickly upon arrival, having previously reserved a table, and the waiting staff came over quickly to take our drinks order and to see if we were ready to eat.
Only suggestion I would make would be to offer more vegetarian options on the lunch buffet, myself and my family are vegetarian and we didn't have a whole lot of variety to choose from, however I can't complain about the quality of the food we were able to eat. I did however deduct a star from my rating for this reason. Having all you can eat dessert included in the price was a huge bonus- however the ice cream machine seemed to be a little warm as the consistency of the ice cream was like slush!
I'd advise getting there early, as it does get busy, and as a bonus you get to eat free on your birthday!
M. S.
I'm not normally impressed by buffet restaurants that cover so many different countries/cultures but the quality of the food was much higher than expected and with lots of variety. A further bonus despite being very busy we were seated quickly and service was fast and friendly. It's not really a relaxing place but that is to be expected with the buffet experience. This is more of a fun restaurant where there's something for everyone and lots of nice dishes to try.
M. B.
We were treated to lunch at global buffet and was very pleased with all main courses that were on offer. However puddings / desserts were very poor with not very much choice at all. I'm not sure if the choice is any better should you wish to attend in the evening when prices are slightly more expensive, I'm aware that there is a greater choice of main meals in the evening, but again I'm not sure about the standard of deserts in the evening. Apart from that the Venue is clean tidy and the staff are extremely helpful
J. B.
Generally excellent - very good quality food. Friendly staff team. If dining later in evening (from 8 pm) things start to run out as you’d expect. Range of food available one of the best I’ve experienced for this type of restaurant
L. F.
Great food, great staff. Great place for a night out x
S. M.
Very nicely set out, excellent food. We visited lunch time & thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. Such a huge choice & even more in the evening. Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian, British & probably more I can't remember. Pay for one cold drink & you can top up as many times as you like. Definitely going back.
p. h.
Great place with great food, a huge variety too
t. p.
One of the better global buffets I've been to. Took the family and they loved it. The weird combination of food you end up eating is ... weird and never as good as a really good specialist restaurant. The service is a bit of a nightmare because it's so big and busy, expect to queue to get in and then queue again to pay and get out.
M. H.
My first time to a buffet restaurant (in the UK anyway) and it was really nice. We arrived slightly early for lunch and were invited to sit in the bar area, when it fully opened the manager introduced himself and it felt very welcoming and organised. The menu itself is great but even more selection would have been nice (lunch is a reduced menu anyway so this is probably not an issue at dinner). The price is excellent, with discount for NHS on top! Service was also excellent, friendly and efficient staff. Will be returning for sure.
S. M.
It's lunch time crowd so a reduced selection, which is fine. I must admit, not having any, the burgers kinda look like the sort you'd get out of a can... Not to appealing, but the rest of the food is what you expect, good, not amazing but then again it's a buffet... What do you expect lol.... Its quick and harmless and definitely family oriented... Music could be doing with lowering a little... Almost impossible to hear anyone if you have anything less than perfect hearing.
N. T.
I love coming here. There are a huge variety of different types of foods. All of which are well prepared. Lunch and tea time food can be a little different. Refillable drinks are avaiable. Staff are always very friendly. Booking a table before hand would be smart as it can be very popular especially on weekends. Price is fairly good considering it's all you can eat. I have been there many times and will go again. Definitely recommend.
L. D.
Good place for a reasonable price and friendly staff. We arrived a bit late for lunch but they told us that we had limited time and the buffet was still very good. The staff came back to make sure we had all we wanted before they started clearing away. Well worth the money.
J. N.
Great place for a good priced lunch while out shopping in Southampton. Have been in the evening but too busy at that time for my liking, however whilst some things aren't done at lunch such as the steaks, I love going for a trip towards the end of lunch. Good variety of food which can be busy and disappear quickly but as long as you are patient then it can be a very enjoyable meal and more is always on the way.
With regards to children, we were in two minds about taking our 5 year old son due to it appearing a bit chaotic at times, but we returned for another visit with him and he thoroughly enjoyed it and was also able to benefit from the variety.
A. P.
Went with my work colleagues very nice go again
K. H.
Friendly helpful efficient staff with large range of lush food. Relaxed atmosphere and not rushed out. Staff clear empty plates quickly. Soft drinks are refilled and the staff ask if you need a refill as soon as they see your empty glass. Recommended Cosmo...100% better than Global
L. W.
Not that impressed ..some of the food wasn't nicely presented .. I like quality not quantity. Good value for money

COSMOS STAFF : -1*
COSMOS FOOD : 5*
Today is my birthday, having been here before I was really excited to come, we had reserved a table and everything!!!
Sadly this was a very disappointing and let down visit.
Not only where we sandwiched between two tables with little space to ourselves (considering we had reserved in advance) but we had 4 people see my ID and not once was I told 'Happy birthday!'.
The first blonde lady at the front desk (around 7pm on the 19/11/19) when told it was my birthday replied with 'Okay just show it to your waiter' and shooed us off.
The second man escorting us to our squished table told us the same.
The third man looked at my ID, looked at me and then said 'ok' and ordered our drinks.
Now I don't require any special requests or anything but considering my car insurance man who knew I was cancelling my policy today even told me a happy birthday makes me feel like it honestly would've been worth dining somewhere else.
The staff had sour faces, not one smile in sight.
They handed our wine to us without a word or glace and considering how much we spent here bar the free birthday meal you would've thought customer service would've been important! Apparently not!
We even got glared at!!!! Basically shunned!!!!
If you want good food this place is amazing, prawns, mucles, Curry's, and all!!!!! But DO NOT expect anything near nice waiters 😿. It really put a damper on my birthday meal.
S. W.
The presentation of some of the world cuisines were better than others, e.g. Thai was good but Italian was rather disappointing. A good price for the food and the drinks that we had I don't remember as being expensive.
Be careful if taking the free birthday meal option, that you get the conditions right.
I would go there again in particular circumstances, e.g. with a group.
S. M.
Lovely food and very helpful staff
D. H.
Came here for the first time last month on the recommendation from my boss. Me and my friend really enjoyed it, the food was great and had a nice range of verity. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and all round atmosphere was great
Coming to COSMO again tomorrow with the same friend, looking forward to it very much
J. W.
This place is incredible the food is fantastic and the service second to none. The only negative point is you are expected to have eaten and finished in an hour and a half. We were celebrating a 17th birthday which is difficult to do in 90 minutes especially when there is such a diverse range of food. Otherwise I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good night out.
C.
Food was pretty great. A couple of criticisms, food wasn't marked as to whether it was vegetarian or not, and there was a distinct lack of strawberries at the chocolate fountain. It's also a bit hard to walk around when it's busy. Otherwise, the food was tasty and there was a decent variety!
C. H.
Amazing place and the food is done to perfection
M. A.
I definitely would say this is the best 'all around the world' buffet restaurant in Southampton. The interior was gorgeous and i love how they locate the different foods with 'east wing, 'west wing'. The receptionist and the waiters were friendly and welcoming and a couple of the waitress checked in on us to make sure everything was alright 😊👌 £14.99 for the buffet is definitely suitable for what you get. They had a few unique stations like the pancake making machine and the popcorn corn machine, as well as a station for burgers and chicken in addition to steak. If anything I would say be patient with staff, specifically when they are in peak hours and are very busy.😊 i'll definitely be coming here as my main buffet restaurant. 😄🤗
e. k.
Having visited the Cosmo in Reading a lot of times, i can say we were quite happy and satisfied that we booked here on Sunday the 25th of August. Was amazed by the chocolate fountains. The gentleman who sat us on the table was more than excellent! Very polite, hard working with a smile. We will be coming back!
A. B.
It’s a wonderful experience to eat here. I have been twice now with friends and family, and will definitely come again. They have a very large selection of dishes (as their name would imply) and it’s a great way to try out different foods that you might otherwise skip out on. If you don’t like any of the foods, just go and get something else, hassle free. Would definitely reccomend
S. B.
We went here for my son's birthday yesterday and had a lovely time. The food was delicious and catered for everyone.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, we will definitely go again and recommend to others.
B. A.
Had dinner today with wife and daughter. Was great to see the hard work they had to comply with Covid guidelines. Food was great. Very kind staff. General Manager its awesome very sad to go on lockdown again.
All the best for everyone
G. W.
Food excellent plenty of room bright clean and staff friendly

Food is average in quality, but it is still tasty and there is a good variety to choose from. It is also good value for money, given the quantity of food you can eat.
The staff were great, extremely helpful and we were well attended to, despite it being busy at the time of our visit.
To my suprise, I recieved a free lunch as it was my birthday, which I thought was a very nice gesture.

Large selection of food all very tasty
A. M.
Soft drinks over priced, desserts made with artificial cream, mains ok but the hype lead to expect more, Really not sold on this concept
P. C.
A busy but fun place with loads of food options for everyone in your party so everyone can find something they will like.
The desert section can be a little hit and miss as it's not be well stocked on one visit and the chocolate fountains have been broken too, but the main courses more than make up for it with choices.
Can be busy so expect to wait if you don't book though...
C. F.
The food was bang average all round. The duck looked like it had been minced and a no go. The ice-cream was more of a moose. The chicken korma was so sweet I felt like I was having pudding. The sushi was nice had a good spicy kick to it. Pizza was very plain as was the lamb lasagna and macaroni cheese. The chicken wings were good. One of the waiters cleaning up spilt my food all over me which was annoying but I got my meal for free which was nice and they offered to dry clean my shirt and trousers.
J. D.
The food is nice but the service was really bad. I asked for a cocktail from 3 different members of staff who were collecting plates and glasses and they all said they would get me one or find out where it is and by the time we left I still didn't have it. It was really hard to spot an actual waiter or waitress who was actually taking orders which is why I was asking the plate collectors but I still expected them to pass on my order for one drink. I've never had that happen in a restaurant before. I think they were very understaffed today.
A.
Great place. Fantastic variety of good at both lunchtime and evening service. Something for everyone. More expensive in the evening than at lunch. Also be aware that young teenagers (13, 14 etc) will e charged the adult price. Overall a good experience.
B. P.
Would have given 4 star previously but went once they reopened after lockdown and felt like choices were limited compared to pre covid times.
They had 1 way system in the restaurant at the buffet stations which understandably caused queues when some customers would take forever to pick.
Masks were provided and plenty of hand sanitizer and single use gloves around and customers were wearing masks when not at their table and wearing gloves when picking up their food so that was nice to see.
T. W.
Not the best Cosmo. The double tier arrangement of dishes was inconvenient for children, people in wheelchairs and one member of my group burnt himself on them. The pay at bar system and show receipt on exit system does not work for a group of 19+, especially when we were told we could only get one receipt. Surely pay on entry would be better for such a busy place? Not particularly wheelchair friendly but does have a lift, would also recommend people with kids use lift as spiral stairs are pretty steep marble.
G. O.
I like to see more regular refil of fish though. I went there specifically to have sea foods but it took ages to have the fish i like. With regards to Covid and social distancing, they have done pretty well and this place is as safe as it can possibly be.

Great place for a dinner 🍽
Really busy
Great selection of food and dessert 🍨
Would recommend
Great nite out with me family 👪
C. M.
Very good selection of food. Sometimes the quality of meat can be poor bit overlook that for the vast range of food. Drinks are reasonably priced.
Large restaurant for about 200 people but it's always best to book.
Overall I would highly recommend.
E.
Been here a lot since it has opened and it's always a winner. We love the large selection of food and the non-judgemental and happy staff. Selection of desserts could be better but tbh most people are stuffed by the time they get to that point. If you go, make sure you swing by the grill and get yourself some lamb (cooked to however you like it)...it's the best lamb ever!!
B. O.
Firstly - BOOK a table in advance. It's popular and fills up fast. Waiting can be 45 mins to an hour. If you do wait, your bleeper will be set and go off in a blaze of bleeps and lights so a waitress will appear and seat you.
Amazing food. Beautifully presented. Don't pile your plate. Select one country and go back for other food. These delicious dishes should be savoured, not mixed into a heap!
A wonderful, fun abd satisfying dining experience.
Desserts like tiny eclairs and little squares of cheesecake and tiny custard slices were delightful.
Two things though were : the used plates weren't collected fast enough and we all agreed the chocolate fountains really did not taste good. (If anyone reads these!)
However we'd highly recommend COSMO and will return.
A. G.
Really, really good food. The scallops are available only on weekends. The pork replacing the crispy duck is quite ingenious. The lamb stew is sublime. The dessert selection is not at all generic. Sushi needs upgrading. Would be nice if there was tempura though and maybe prawn-based dimsum. But, the prawn selections are really good anyway. Drinks are separate, but you get what you pay for.
P. S.
Great range of flavours, smells, and colours. Very helpful and hospitable staff, must be a real undertaking to do what they do but they do it well. Good pricing and facilities. A change up in food would be nice. Overall a great experience
J.
The variety of choices was very good, I enjoyed being able to try a little bit of dishes that i have never tasted before and for people that like pizza, burgers chips, carvery, lasagne and spaghetti Bolognese for people that only like foods they know then there is all food for everyone my daughters bf is very fussy with food he even ate, Try it you will not be disappointed and if its someones birthday and you book online and state its your birthday that person eats free just bring Id to prove this show it to server for 6 of us it cost £95 including drinks For amazing eating Cosy place to relax and enjoy it was worth every penny or try a lunch time when it is even cheaper just some dishes not out but still a lot of variety. Lots of puddings as well and truly amazing food.
c. M.
The food was fresh and nicely cooked. The restaurant was full but stuff were very friendly, professional and helpful. I didn't go with my children but it was a friendly family environment and the food included many kids favourites so kids had a variety of foods to choose from.
B. R.
Food was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Layout leaves a bit to be desired but probably due to busyness. Make sure to get reservations and we will go again.
L. F.
Every time I have been the food has always been top quality and the staff are always very welcoming. The only thing I would change is it would be great if the food cooked to order was open maybe once or twice a week at lunchtime instead of just the evenings
c.
Fabulous selection of food - all you can eat buffet
M. M.
Excellent value for money buffet restaurant but beware of the restricted (albeit much cheaper) lunchtime menu. Considering it has a cosmopolitan menu and fills with lots of kids, you can still get a reasonably pleasant experience here with good food. The major Downside is the infrastructure and layout of the shopping centre its located in. Best to come by public transport
M. P.
I would love to give this place a 5 star but its really pricey for someone like me who cant eat a lot:(
J. E.
We pre bookedll the all you can eat buffet for £16.50 ( pet adult), our little one is 2 and a half, so only cost £3 for her which was very good. We got there for 5 pm ,and it wasn't that busy, but by quarter to 6 it was heaving.the staff were very efficient, getting people seated and clearing our used plates. a A wide varied choice of foods, to cater for everyone's tastes.with fresh and tinned fruit, chocolate fountains, banana custard, Eton mess, and amazing tiny samples of lots of delicious desserts. Either refillable fizzy drinks, ,cocktails, mocktails wine or beer. Thouraghlly enjoyed it.well recommended.

I love this kind of restaurant you can't find this in Germany. We only have normal chinese buffets, but no global buffet.
At Cosmo I like the divided plates, so you will not put on too much and it looks nice when food is on plate.
My daughter and me were there for the first time and the staff was very friendly and allways came to ask, if we would need something. They have a small sink for handwashing in the restaurant, this is very useful.
The food was very nice and a good amount of different things to choose.
I hope that this concept will soon come to Germany too.
If I'm in Southampton I will definitely go there again
H.
Been there today for the first time. Got seated exactly at 12, staff member escorted us to the table and told everything about the place, the food and took our drinks order. Food was delicious, indian, korean, sushi, chinese, continental, american, british... a huge variety of fruits as sweets but other sweets such as icecream or brownies as well. The restaurant itself was clean and tidy, waiters were circulating all the time ready to take extra orders or collect plates. Price was good too. Grade A+ restaurant, definitely gonna visit them in the near future again 😉
M. M.
Had a lovely evening dinner in cosmos tonight ,unfortunately didnt have a booking as was a last minute decision to go out.the lovely lady at the door was kind enough to let us know a later time they might have a table and in the end we got a table ...thanks to the lady at door thank u very much
M. K.
Food good but half hour wait for booked table, then, after half an hour, told would need to leave. Offered free drinks as compensation but, on paying, manager questioned this and made us feel as if we were in the wrong. Staff need more customer service training as made us all feel very rushed and uncomfortable.
P. H.
Brilliant. ..first visit won't be my last.. good choice of food
Only down side was we had to ask staff for more dishes that were empty as they seemed to be too busy talking to take notice.
Need more around the country.
Good price.

Cosmo is great place for a casual dining experience. I happened to go there on my birthday and I dined for free!
Selection is more than enough and you could literally stuff with your face with yummy food.
R. I.
The food is good but you can't have an intimate dinning there. Tables are too close to each other and you literally feel like you eat with everyone. It's ok if you just eat fast and go but it's not nice if you want to spent time there or you have a date
G. I.
The best all you can eat I ever been
A.
I have been to Cosmo a few times and I believe they prepare their meals 'with love'. The seasoning is quite on point.
I went today for lunch , unfortunately I didn't book the table in advance. When I at 12:02 , the call went to automated answer that it wasn't opened (it is meant to be opened at 12pm so they could try and set their answer phone exactly at 12pm).
Tables were fully booked for the today which is incredible. I decided we would still go and willing to wait for a table.
I went with my friend and we're greeted nice by one lady. I informed her we didn't it have a reservation but willing to wait. She gave me a buzzer and said we can tale a seat and come back to the reception once the buzzer starts going off. She already explained the waiting was about 30minutes.
After about 35 minutes, the buzzer started sounding and the lady came looking for us (we were also heading towards the reception ).
One of the ladies walked to show us our table and informed us someone will come to take orders for our drinks.
We both chose refillable soft drinks (£2.99 per glass, highly recommended if you feel you can or will need to drink more than 1 glass. You can have 4 different types of soft drinks and water which is handy).
Food wise, there was quite a lot of choices available for lunch.
I highly recommend the spinach stew (at the Indian food section ).
Different varieties of meat to choose from , nice rips , chicken wings (nice and spicy ones as well as sweet ones). The rice are quite tasty , nicely boiled and nutritious (nicely boiled egg rice as well as the one at the Indian section ).
There are nice fruits as well as ice creams.
You finished eating before paying which quite OK.
One if the best things is that the staff do not ask for tips (there is a small jar next to the exit you pay the bills, and very voluntary).
Overall a positive experience, I think they need to have full rang of food for lunch since the place is always packed.
If you fancy eating variety of food I highly recommend Cosmo.
B. D.
Great staff amazing choice off food on lunches too! Pleased with service, some people say there was no staff around... I had them all the time!!! I was happy and my wife was happy! We will be back soon!!!
D. S.
Nice place. Good food. Friendly staff
A.
Constantly come back here for lunch when the family are visiting in Southampton. The selection of food available is great and always tasty.
The food varies from Chinese to Indian, Italian, Japanese, American and much more. Always left this place happy with the meal that I've had and wanting more.
M. R.
I enjoy my excellent food.
B. C.
Visited on a Saturday early evening, 17:30, without a reservation as did not expect it to be busy - but it was rammed. Waited about 20 mins for a table but was pleasant enough sitting in the bar. They have a good selection of buffet food, regularly refreshed and well cooked. Like the bottomless cold drinks, and table service for drinks from the bar. Only thing was the paying the bill at the end, which involved queuing at the bar, which was a bit of a drag!
J. D.
Awesome service and selection of food. I enjoyed going here while visiting Southampton.
s. s.
Lived up to my expectations, very clean facilities, the efficiency and professionalism of the staff excellent, the variety of dishes phenomenal, every single dish I ate was cooked to perfection.
If it was not the limitation of my pockets I would be a daily patron because even for the health conscious there is plenty to choose from.
C. A.
Cosmo is an excellent place to try something new, or if in a group, to satisfy everyone’s tastes.
All food is immaculately displayed and impeccably prepared and cooked, even when extremely busy.
Fantastic value for money for an “all you can eat”. 👍
V. B.
Brilliant measures put in place to ensure customer safety.
Food all hot and our selection of choices were very tasty. 👌
Y.
Today i had come to the restaurant to have my dinner. The service and the food was amazing. The service given to me was great and it made me feel very welcome. The food was delicious with a variety of different food and drinks which they offer. The restaurant was very clean and also very hygienic. I will definatly recommend the restaurant to friends and family and will visit them again. Thank you for the service and food.
D. C.
Cosmo is by far the best world buffet I’ve ever been too! The food was well cooked, fresh and replenished accordingly. The staff friendly and welcoming, they were quick to take dirty plates and glasses. Aside from there not being much choice on the dessert front I’d recommend this place as highly as possible!
T. L.
Nice variety of food that is all cooked well.
However, obly 3 stars as they are very slow (15mins+ for some) to replace dishes that had run out (Saturday lunchtime so you'd expect them to be replacing empty dishes quickly) and when I went the toilets were filthy.
g. d.
Went here on Saturday. I'm not a big eater so didn't really eat much. However really enjoyed the food Esp the Chinese section. The Teppanyaki counter location should be changed as people were blocking the way. And the Ramen bar was in the same area. With the lines there didn't even know the Italian section was in the middle. And with people blocking the area there I didn't even know what was cooking in the Teppanyaki section sadly. The Desserts could be better as in quality more than quantity. Salads could be a little more interesting as well. I enjoyed the oriental and Chinese food so much I'll go again just for that. Vegetarian options not as much.
M. J.
One of britains best buffet restaurant which offers global cusine to your plate and provides consistancy, fulfilled flavours, an ambient atmosphere and ethusiastic, amiable staff. The restaurant chain as a whole is very reliable and incisively priced. Love to come regularly and insist to open up more branches down the south!
m.
Good family dining. All you can eat for a set price. Nice self setvice food from far eastern to European cuisine. It was a bit busy when we attended and a bit loud but everyone seemed to be having a good time.
P. S.
Very busy, food constantly added, good quality of most of things. Drinks in reasonable prices. Lots of people enjoying visit. Really had good time. Staff with proffesional approach. You can see people going there to enjoy themselves. Will come back soon.
d.
Good if you like dry food. I suppose it's exactly as you'd expect from an all you can eat buffet style restaurant.
Seemed a very clean place, with the toilets included. Staff were helpful and quick to clear tables.
S. C.
I found it mediocre, unfortunately. The food was lackluster which was disappointing because everything else was brilliant. The service and environment was really good. I just found that most of the food was very similar and it didn't have the taste you'd expect even for a buffet which dropped a star. Definitely worth going however for a quick meal.
E. C.
I've been here with both friends and family and loved it each time. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff, great service and a vast array of good quality, international food. Great value for money.
J. H.
Great selection of food almost too much. Good quality. Very busy . Very good value if you eat a lot. Not so good if your looking for a more relaxed meal.
J. M.
loads of food choice but I found the meat I had was either chewy or fatty kids were ot impressed. seeing a kid dip his hand in the chocolate fountain put me off the sweets. wasn't that much choice much choice ad the ice cream maker was broke would not go back again.
S. c.
Very wide variety of food. Good quality and very affordable. Will be coming back soon!
M. F. D. d.
Food was great for price one way system for good well organised only soft drinks were expensive I thought but was good
p. s.
We had a very good meal. There was a great range of food from around the world.
It was very tasty.Lots of flavours.
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Reasonably priced.
H. H.
A great selection of foods from around the world. Although despite the amazement of this buffets selection they, like many other buffets, have gone for quantity over quality. The acception to this is in the desserts which are included in the price of the buffer and offer another great selection of different sweet treats.
T. D.
This place was so much better than i expected. It was really nice to try all the different types of food. My son ate so much sugar though as he loved the desserts section with its chocolate fountains and ice cream. My other half was happy to try all the indian food. I was impressed they had japanese, Chinese, Korean, foods, especially char sui and custard buns, they had ramen, and teppanyaki too. We'll definitely go again.
D. H.
Was very busy happy we pre booked.. food is great as always however ordering drinks from the bar must be avoided (order them from your table) they make you q in a single line to order... no just going to the bar and ordering... the q can be up to 15 mins long hence only 4 stars... food however is great !! Love going there will definatly go again.
L. H.
Eaten here once and can't say I particularly enjoyed much, food is quite bland and lacks any real taste. Doesn't even taste like the chefs even bother to season the food. Having spent years working in kitchens I have tasted much better elsewhere for the lower price than you pay to eat here
Z. “. Y.
Went along in group of 5, it was very busy being a Saturday night and we were told could be up to hour wait for a table, luckily we were called over after 15 minutes. Must admit there was great range of food and had no trouble getting through a number of small plates, most enjoyable will definitely come again
B. D.
My favourite place absolutely love it lost count to how many times we've been food outstanding staff lovely
T. L.
Good range of food with something for everyone. Bit hectic and had to find a waitress to take our drinks orders. But overall is very reasonably priced for the selection and quality
M. “. M. M.
Nice buffet. Food is nice. Only complaint is that they make you wear cheep plastic gloves that are a pain to get on and off when you are browsing the food.
S. S. N.
Impresses with their controls amidst COVID. Food was still great. Full Menu was still available. No alcohol was served but guess that's more space for food!
S. J.
food was lush, service was fabulous, vibes were splendid, waiting staff were gorgeous (some of them)
would defo come back
M. H.
Soooooooooo much choice, most of it reasonable quality. Best for Asian food, though also does Indian (which is OK), pizzas, a carvery and a grill. Also lots of, mostly creamy, desserts including 2 chocolate fountains (white and milk chocolate). Over all, good value for money for an all-you-can-eat
D. K.
Possible the best food experience we ever had, exceptional service and managing at its finest! Congratulations Cosmo, keep up the good work! Rated 5 Stars is the least we can do!
r. l.
A great selection of good quality and tasty food ...
K. P.
I'd been to my first cosmo in Eastbourne then went to the Southampton one which is HUGE. Up there on my best dining experiences. So much food variety and no slacking in quality or quantity. My only problem was working out how to eat from the the tiny dessert cups with a large spoon but if I'm ever in Southampton again I know I will go to this restaurant again.
P. B.
Very busy and very good food staff are very friendly we will go back again but next time we will book a table we walked in and had to wait 40 mins but well worth it. At £14.85 for all you can eat and £3.89 for bottom less drinks well worth it.
O. W.
Everything was amazing. From the food to the service. Certain things weren't to my taste, but that's to be expected when there is so much to choose from. For the price I would 100% recommend this to anyone with taste buds.
A. F.
My experience at Cosmos in Southampton was superb.
The service was brilliant and quick, the staff were friendly and inviting, the atmosphere above all else was good.
I would highly recommend Cosmos to anyone who wishes to enjoy an affordable meal with good service, good food and good hospitality.
I can definitely see myself and others going back there for another meal in the near future
N. C.
Was OK we went for the dinner service ...some staff were very rude and when a dish at the serving points were empty too for ages and if you asked if or when it will be refilled you get ignored
D. L.
I was wonderfully surprised. We were greeted like friends with handshakes and taken to our table. My wife has an allergy to garlic and having earlier warned them of this head chef personally explained the food choices to her telling her that he had omitted garlic from a few of the dishes just for her. Nearly every kind of cuisine was on offer and plenty of it. It was so fresh that some of the dishes are cooked in front of you wait. We went on a relatively quiet Monday and were so pleased that we returned five days later on the Saturday one week before Christmas. It was heaving with people and after a ten minute wait we were shown to our reserved table. Despite the crowds we were served promptly with our drinks and found the food plentiful and just as good. Yes there is an emphasis on oriental cooking but there is also Italian food and a carvery as well as a salad bar and a grill. I do not agree with the earlier reviews because both times we had impeccable service and prompt delivery of our drinks. The deserts were out of this world. I can remember about fourteen or more including pancakes, ice cream, frozen yoghourt, mini portions of tiramisu, cheesecake and banoffee pie. Also profiteroles and a chocolate fountain with free top up of soft drinks All this for an average of £15 per person and eat as much as you want. This has got to be Southampton's jewel in the crown.
R. N. B. C. X.
This place is great when you can get in ! Lots of variety of food ranging from roast dinner - Chinese- indian- sushi- teppanyaki- and more! Great dessert selection chocolate fountains white + milk. Waffles sweets marshmallows ice cream cakes jelly popcorn fresh fruit amongst other things ..
Some cocktails not many but reasonably priced.
It's a bit of a cattle market but still worth enduring !!
J. P.
Great food, good service. Always freshly cooked and hot food. The live cooking is awesome to watch and all the chefs are visible from the seating area. Would definitely recommend a visit!
S. I.
Absolutely amazing today, brilliant measures in place, food as always was lovely and so glad to be out socialising safely thank you Cosmo
R. L.
Probably the best buffet I've ever been to. Asian food choices were off the chain and the quality was very consistent, not so much with the pizza and pasta tho. Kid friendly and nice staff.
D. K.
Food was hot and very nice. Nothing bad to say about the food at all. Only downside is paying for your meal on way out. The cashier also takes peoples drinks orders!
P. C.
Average food at average prices & drinks are not too expensive either. The variety of food on offer is good but the quality is lacking. There are better places to eat in Southampton, even in West Quay alone. Service was friendly, welcoming & efficient.
E. B.
This restaurant is not what I imagined it to be. I love the atmosphere, and the concept of a buffet from all around the world (and they really do mean all around the world) but I felt that the service was below par, and the food was not great. The way I would describe this restaurant is a jack of all trades, but a master of none. Recomended for a family with young children.
C. W.
Service is welcoming and friendly. Food is amazing, we've been twice and never had anything negative to say about it. Best meal out with great variety.
S. H.
You need to book in advance or you may have to wait for a table. Good choice of different foods but avoid anything with meat as beef is chewy and tough chicken not tender and has grissle like bits. They probably buy cheap meat to keep costs down
M. P.
Good quality food - I feel like some dishes should be tweaked. not sure how fresh chips could be soggy strait away? and I have been over 6 times in the past and today was the only day the ice cream machine worked.
K. S.
Good place for family and good food great service
H. B.
For an all-you-can-eat buffet the restaurant delivers what you would expect. There was a large variety to choose from so that everyone has something they would like and the environment along with the staff was very inviting. I would definitely come again.
L.
Lovely place to eat with friends and family. Good selection and friendly staff
A. d. H.
Great service but no roast potatoes how can you have a carvery with no potatoes the man pointed at wedges... That's not the same man...
E. A.
One of the best I've been to so far
H. M.
There is a huge range of food here starting with a burger and chicken grilling bar, carvery, pastas and other snacks, pizza, Currys, sushi, and Chinese. Huge range but none of the food is great but there's lot of if which makes up for that since you're at a all you can eat, soft drinks are bottomless and there is an all you can eat desserts sections which is ok.
M. C.
Really enjoyed going here. There was a wide range of food. Great staff. Probably my best evening out
L. C.
A tasty world buffet , nice place , nice people and many different choices of food
