I have never used this fish and chip shop before today, but certainly will be again. The food was hot fresh and really good. The nice guy who served me was lovely. It's so hard to find good fish and chips these days, this is one of the best in Southampton. My mum is so fussy with chips, but I will definitely be getting her to try here. Thank you 😊

Used this chippy for the first time and it won’t be the last. I’m really fussy when it comes to chips and the sausage meat but it tasted amazing and freshly cooked. I was served by someone named Ali who was really happy and an asset to the shop welcoming everyone with smiles and laughter. Will definitely be returning

Nipped in on a spur of the moment thing this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at the level of service which was very good. I just got a large chips and a couple of pickled eggs (guilty pleasure) but was very impressed and will definitely go there again. Top marks

All staff not wearing face masks at time of visit 🤔 reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars 👁👁 If you order online you will be given a 10% discount ⭐ Home delivery charges £1 for Hamble delivery £2 🚗🚗😉 Collection Orders ready in 20 minutes. Open and delivery hours Monday to Saturday 11am - 2pm / 4pm - 9pm Sunday closed. Parking outside the shop is not available or advised due to double yellow lines and bus stop near by. Standard door access for wheelchairs will be tight with a small step at door fresh hold. Serving counter high for wheel chair users. Nearest toilets 3 minute walk to German super market. 04.06.21. This was my second visit and recommend you give them a try. Time I waited for my order 14 minutes. ⌛

Decent fish and chips, but the fish could do with being cooked a tiny bit less and the chips a little more. Staff are really friendly. Waiting area is freezing when it's cold outside.

Excellent cod and chips. Bought 2 x OAP Specials, one would have been more than enough. Each portion was boxed, not wrapped therefore, the food stayed hot and didn't go soggy before reaching there destination.

Polite staff, a range of everything you could want, about 15 min wait for the food in the evening. I’d say the batter is too thick and fish cooked too long - the haddock was a bit dry tbh and the batter though crisp was a bit thick and oily for my taste. Chips were ok. I’d have to try it on a different night to see if this was just a one off (they were super busy sorting out a massive backlog of orders). It’s not the worst by a long stretch but I think there are better chippies if you are driving to it for food. The good news is that it wouldn’t take too much of a tweak for them to improve significantly

Having lived in Netley Abbey for over 11 years we've tried various Fish & Chip shops locally but since finding you the past two weeks we now have settled with yourselves. And here's our reasons why. 1) Good Quality Fish & Chips, 2) Excellent customer service on Phone Orders and upon collection. 3) Delivery, now this is important. Fast with Great Driver Customer service aswell. So here we have the Best Chippy. 👌 Thanks for making our Fridays great again.

Good chips, but really not much more then good. I think that is just like a lot of fish and chip shops, they are good but not somewhere I would go back too in a hurry. But let me explain why. First of all, their curry sauce is watery and doesn't really taste like much, their pea fritter is old tasting, now all i mean by that is, it tastes like it was prepped the day before and to me you can really taste the difference! The sausage was basic generic chip shop sausage, and the chip's, well they taste okay, they are a little over cooked or under cooked, depending on the time you get them, better in the early hours then late hours, and the chips normally have a geese and oil soaked feel, like they haven't properly drained off. Staff are great, the English lady who served us was nice and friendly, but the other staff are in the background and do not interact with costumers, would like to feel more welcome in the shop, kind of feels like I am about to go for a blood test, then waiting for chips

Really tasty fish and chips. My sister ordered both of us a "small" cod and a large portion of chips to share. The small cod was longer than my plate! And the spare chips have done me another 2 meals. All cooked really well too, not too greasy and not too much salt on the chips too. Definitely one to recommend

Loved it fish was fantastic. Only downfall was no lemon quarter (no a big deal) but they mention it in the menu. Also the lady who does the deliveries is going to kill someone one day as drives and pulls away so fast. If only everyone could walk and get there own fish and chip supper.

Wow..I have grown up going to Lawrence's so I was cautious to try the new management out..so I was so relieved to find the chips so amazing!! To be honest..I'd say even better chips than Lawrence's..something I never thought I'd say. Crispy on outside and fluffy on the inside and the fish cake was good too. Will deffo go again :)

Last week i made a large order of over 70 meals for a local function. The owner Charles was very efficient, gave me a quote before we arrived so that i could prepare the money in advance. When going to collect, Anna served our meals when we arrived, everything was cooked fresh to order, boxed up and still pipping hot when it arrived back at the venue. They offered free bottles of Ketchup and Vinegar which was well recieved and a nice touch. The food was fantastic, fresh chunky peices of cod, crispy batter and large fluffy chips. Not a complaint to be heard. Which is amazing as they are a notoriously hard group to please. I'd like to say a massive thanks to charles and all his staff at Lawrences. We will we back!
