Khans Restaurant -Southampton. Huge restaurant, with lovely decor, nice and bustling, theatre kitchen & lots of staff…. but then somewhere somehow it all comes to a grinding halt, waited for a table whilst it was only 40% full, we ordered and were told half hour waited 45+ minutes for some starters, drinks came after we finished our meal despite asking three times. potion sizes are fairly small co siderite g the prices, mixed platter for two £25, it’s actually enough for one hungry person. saw some of the other tables going to the counter and getting very worked up with the staff, not nice, but understandable. you have a great business there people please put some effort in. will come back to see if it is a one off or a routine occurrence. -3 Stars.

I had a great food first and returned several times after. You can’t fault the food or portions size. People with understanding other nations’ culture can not expect better. People are nice and they try their best to make everyone happy. (You can not expect 5 star service while you only pay 2 star price.) I personally enjoyed the food and atmosphere and will go there again and again.

Fantastic halal food, excellent customer service, very nice staff, clean and nice large space to enjoy your meal. We ordered the Kabuli pulao, chicken karhai and mantu and everything was very delicious and will definitely be coming again, the chapli kabab was served complimentary and was probably the best dish there! *Just wanted to add that in a recent visit I left my bag and phoned in, a staff member Mansur assisted me and they had kept my bag sealed in a brown paper bag for me, very honest and diligent staff, will always return and food quality fantastic as usual!

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some Afghani classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. It was a family dinner out, and we all had an excellent yummy experience. Five stars for the staff. Delicious kids icecream🍧 Five stars for the Chef. Amazing food We tried three dishes ( Sultani Kebab, Qabuli, Chiken Karahi). Fresh crunchy bread, fresh salad 100% sure see you again😀

Food is amazing. Can’t complain. Very friendly staff. Would rate it over 5 stars if I could. One thing which could be improved is perhaps having the menu in also Farsi but that’s just a little thing. Highly recommend. There was something on the menu I wanted but I didn’t see however if it was in Farsi I would’ve known!

I was working in southampton so I decided to get a takeout whilst I was here. I was warmly greeted and ordered the lamb stew with okra and steamed rice. I enquired about mint tea and was told they have green tea so i declined. While I was waiting the waitress brought me over some complimentary tea. It was such a sweet gesture esp when you're working away from home, a little kindness goes along way. The takeout was sealed with cellophane so it prevented any leakages. The food was delicious not too over powering on the spices and tasted home made which was lovely and authentic.i would highly recommend Khans to anyone visiting Southampton. All the food is halal and there are spaces available to families and praying if you need to.

Customer service is on point. The mix grill is flavoursome and a great sharing platter. Also, ordered the chapli kebab which is great. They provide complimentary salad and sauces. To improve, the nans could have been softer. Defo recommend for dining in.

Had a takeaway from here today. Food was genuinely the best takeaway food I’ve had. I really hope they don’t in the future compromise on the quality. In summary, the mix grill was great, the pilau great and the chapli kebab was amazing (tender and the spring onions were a great touch)

I must say that I went for recommended dish Qabuli Pillow #16 on the menu, the meat was so soft and delicious and the rice was perfect cooked and topping was nice with raisins. And not to forget the customer service was masterclass. I will definitely seeing soon guys. Thanks

Their food is One of the best value for money out there. I recommend you try their lamb tikka; they have taken the tikka concept to a whole new level which makes it extremely flavourful, juicy, tinder and diffrent to what you may have had elsewhere. I genuinely had a five star dining experience here in khan restaurant and grill.

We ordered charsi karahi, naan and chapli kebab. I had to cook the Karahi again as the tomatoes were not cooked properly. The amount of oil present in the meat was making us sick while eating. I had to take that out but even then it was very oily. Standard of meat was poor. Bones were more as compared to the meat. Not properly cut meat. I would say it’s nowhere near to a proper charsi karahi. Would not recommend it. Opposite to karahi, chapli kebabs and naan were well made. Kebabs flavourful and naan soft and well cooked.

We ordered from Khan's first time today. Lamb "Charsi Karahi" & "Chapal Kebabs" were absolutely fantastic. Really enjoyed the sauce came with kababs also. We will definitely order again from Khan's. The sitting area is beautifully decorated and the best place to enjoy food with family in Southampton once lockdown is lifted and normal life returns.
