It was good and first experience to have Turkish breakfast in South. Prices were high for such but it was rather clean place, waiters were patient and professionals and hygiene was absolutely great. So yeah, 5 stars for overall experience. Taste and portion sizes were okay but I’d expect more of stuff other than vegetables and fresh fruits. Yeah, surprise me! Lol. Good job, guys.

what a wonderful place, lots of space & beautiful decor with options to dine inside & outside, we went for the lunchtime option, two people £25, inc a drink, can’t go wrong, full marks, will be back. Another trip to Mevlana Southampton today, much improvement to the outdoor area to the front which is now a conservatory meaning it’s lovely and warm, lots of helpful staff at hand, we were a group of ten including children & were accommodated pretty quickly. Place has lovely decor, and fairly vibrant, good churn if customers also, until the next time… sharing some pics from the current visit.

We have been looking for a exceptional Turkish kebab restaurant for years since moving down from London. I can honestly say that I am so happy to have finally found a restaurant that serves amazing food. Its always fresh and so tasty I can't recommend enough. The service is always with smile and very welcoming. Alcohol is not served here.....but that is not an issue if amazing food what you are after. Enjoy!!

Ordered a takeaway super late in the evening and it arrived in less than 30mins which was incredible. The bread was beautifully cooked and the Hummus was tasty too unfortunately the Falafel was very very dry

Visited yesterday evening with my partner, very pleased to have found an authentic turkish restaurant in Southampton. Excellent food, great portions, very clean & wonderful polite staff. One small gripe is that no rice came with the stew & had to be ordered separately. Other than that fantastic & we will be regular visitors!

Undoubtedly the best Turkish experience with excellent service. As a regular customer I would safely advice you to get your tea or coffee in the end among their famous rise pudding dessert, if you are lucky before they sold out. Alternative close your eyes and choose anything from the fridge as you will not get any disappointment at all. Thanks Mevlana!

5 star service First time I went - was a very quiet day though - 2nd time was busy and service dropped drastically - Very slow service had to get the attention of the staff that were run of their feet just to get a drink - also they never had my desert I normally get. Excellent food here in a great venue. Really enjoyed a varied menu with everything there that anyone could want. All good certainly seemed to be cooked fresh and stored in good condition. Excellent display of salads, meats, skewers, bread etc as you walk in too. Drink selection is good, if a bit overpriced for them. Food however excellent and great value. The portions are good - you won't go hungry. Excellent team here too, very welcoming and explained some of the dishes at ordering which came exactly as described. 👍 Won't be in the area for a few months, but will definitely be back here.

Good quality fresh grill, everything else is standard pre-made catering quality. Nice decor and seating. Waiting time is short which is good but you can be made to feel rushed even though you maybe spending a fair bit. Staff are good and polite but somethings lost in translation and confusing when ordering. Didn't like the Radio 1 style music, better to stick to Turkish music just to create an atmosphere. Menu wise its comprehensive even includes Pasta, Burgers, etc. but its all fairly pricy compared to other Turkish places of same quality but with more of a humble decor. Overall nice place for an occasional visit.

Very disopinting to order king prawn and to receive small supermarket shrimps( amazed how the cook did not care at all when he was told by the waiter) No taste to the shrimp or rise. 3 peaces calamary charged 6.95 pounds. The rest of food acceptable but will not return .

We were party of 7 - ordered the Chef Special all the starters/appetizers, the Main course -- absolutely lovely it was legendary. Great Atmosphere, amazing,polite,quick, and attentive staff, Great attitude towards us and very patient and accommodating towards the Disabled person in the party and the children. Overall 10/10 recommending to everyone. The cherry on the top was the Chocolate souffle was a gift from the gods - it was the perfect symbiosis between sweetness-bitterness-texture.

The food was delicious but I knocked a star off for the way it was served - bread and salad appeared really quickly, then my main then the two sides and I was half way through my main when my husband's main appeared. There was a long wait before the dessert appeared - they'd obviously forgotten all about it. We had to ask three times, three different servers for the bill but it came in at a reasonable £57 for 3 courses each. This restaurant is busy, particularly on a Saturday although it always looks busy when you pass. There were a lot of Middle Eastern diners and lots of family groups. This is a great neighbour restaurant that just needs to iron out a few issues around coping with a lot of customers and staggering the courses and it'll be wonderful. Would recommend!!!

This place is great! I've been twice, once at lunchtime and once in the evening. The staff were almost competing with each other to be the best and most responsive hosts. The food is great, it has a interesting range of familiar and traditional Turkish foods. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I especially love the range of green teas and coffee. Alcohol is not on the menu, but there are plenty of alternatives to accompany your meal or as an after dinner drink.

Do not hesitate to go here. I booked a table of 17 people at quite short notice for my daughters 18th birthday and wow!! Amazing tasty food and plenty of it, it's reasonably priced and exceptional service from all the staff. They really went above and beyond to make it that extra bit special, even while catering for so many at a peak time in the restaurant. We won't forget it and will most certainly be back. A group of us had lunch today. We picked from the lunch menu which was just £9.95 for 3 courses. There was a good selection of starters and mains and baklava for dessert. The staff are lovely and helpful. The food was lovely and very plentiful. I tried the haloumi as starter which was delicious. For the main I selected moussaka which was excellent. The restaurant provided flatbreads and salad as part of the deal. The restaurant is not licenced but offers a good range of non alcoholic drinks. The restaurant is new and very nicely refurbished. A very good experience here today.

Second time I order food from here, wow!!! I used to live in haringey in London with is famous for the Turkish food in the capital, but I got to praise the food in here amazing! Today I took some friends they were visiting from London and we had a amazing time in here! Really nice place! I worked in Turkish restaurants for 3 years and I would say the food quality is top! Beautiful atmosphere and the staff is very polite. The only thing they should improve is serving different courses one after another, not everything whenever is ready but as the restaurant is newly opened, I think the floor staff needs more time to cooperate with the kitchen. Just been for lunch at Mevlana Turkish Kitchen. It was our first time there and was not disappointed. As you enter you have a good view of the open kitchen where you are greeted by a friendly member of staff who guide's you to your table. Not ever having had Turkish food the waiter was only to pleased to explain what each course on the lunch time special contained We all had different meals and all were excellent and very tasty. The restaurant itself is a very good standard and very clean. We would not hesitate to visit again. Only downside is they do not have a drinks licence, so drinks somewhere else before and after our meal.

seemed busy when we entered. we ordered shish and adani chicken kebab. we were given few starters such as naan, lime and paprika on salad, and 4 different sauces made with yoghurt and chilli. except the shish kebab everything else was just spot on. But when we asked for more sauce, the man said more isn’t free. we said we can pay for it, and then he bought more sauce. That was a bit unpleasant, but we did love the food.
