Really nice little gem of a place. Has a nice smart casual, slightly fancier atmosphere but not over the top. Really great selection of meats and cheeses and surprisingly generous portions. Even those with bigger appetites like myself will feel well fed. A nice generous garnish of pickles and other bits keep your taste buds fresh and cut through the richness of the foods I'm much more of a beer / ale man but even I really enjoyed the wine, so I imagine this place would be a sure hit for wine drinkers, cheese addicts or or if you want something abit more special feeling than your average restaurant. We went midweek which was a nice level of busyness

Oh my god if you like good cheese and wine then this is the place for you!!! The atmosphere is classy but relaxed. We were a group of ; and we ordered the “experience” board, this came with 8 different meats and 10 different cheeses, also breach, crackers and chutney. Our waitress was also fantastic!!!!!

It's been a week since we visited Porters Charcuterie and the only reason I haven't written a review til now is because I've been too busy telling everyone I know about how awesome this place is! If there is a formula for the perfect hospitality experience then this place would be like a brain baby of Einstein and Hawking. They have got it right in every way! The food is fantastic, both tasty and a visual spectacular. The cocktails were sublime (first espresso martini after 18 months of lockdown and I nearly cried). But the winning factor was the superior level of hospitality, especially from Camilla (that's right, a week later and I remembered her name, that's how AWESOME she was) Give that girl a payrise cos she freaking deserves it! Can't wait to visit your fine establishment again. Well done guys, you are a credit to the industry xXx

What a great addition to the Southampton dining scene. A beautifully designed restaurant specialists in cheese/meat boards and fine wine. What I love is the superb staff, friendly service and of course great food. This place can be a place to bring a date, a casual catch up or just a meeting. Whatever brings you here its guaranteed you will stay a while enjoy the wine and chilled beats. The decor is amazing too - the ceiling looks like grass and there is a lovely hand made sign over the bar! There is such a selection of food that you will find something delicious. And even a full vegan alternative so no excuses from anyone not to visit. As for access, the Porter is fully inclusive, handicapped access and I was able to bring my support dog and she was also made to feel like a valued guest. Special thanks to Milo, for always going above and beyond with the service. Highly recommended.

Wonderful, lovely atmosphere and decor, food was fantastic & generous portions, wine was lovely, complementary Prosecco on arrival as special occasion. Slightly confused by one of the staff (manager?) spending over a hour stood talking to exclusively another table, however attentive, polite and friendly staff, will be back.

We had a party of four last night, the restaurant was absolutely full. We were expertly taken care of and the food was second to none. The waiting staff took care of us. They made sure we had everything we needed. Due to the manager thinking we waited a little too long for our steak meals, he took the service charge off and one round of our drinks off of our meal without us saying a word! This was very much appreciated! And i can highly recommend the food! It was a fantastic meal.

Absolutely outstanding evening at Porters Charcuterie as our date night. Lovely ambience, really attentive staff, fabulous food…. We laughed, drank and grazed all evening, were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in, chatty staff who have honestly nailed the customer care (Megan in particular looked after us for most of the evening), made delicious cocktails, explained the meats and cheeses, great music, great value for money all round. This place is amazing - a must visit if you come to Southampton. Such a lovely location and the staff are incredible and attentive. The food (WOW) they know what they are doing. Aptly named, 'the experience' is so amazing - would recommend. This choice easily serves six, great value, delicious crackers and bread. The waiters are so lovely and helpful and flexible and know what they are talking about. The *vegan platter* is so so delicious. Such a relief to come to a place like this and have a vegan option that is so scrumptious and imaginative.

What a fantastic venue. We had exclusive use of this stunning bar for a private function. The food was delicious and our numerous dietary requirements were catered for with ease. I have visited this place twice now since it opened and on both occasions I have experienced amazing food and service. The charcuterie and cheese menu is extensive, so you could probably make 5 visits without trying the same thing twice. The food is laid out on a board in such a way that it looks like a work of art. It is accompanied by olives, grapes, crackers, breads etc which makes the entire experience feel very Roman. I love it and I wish the owner and his team every success.

Wow, this place is a must!!! We have literally just dined here We are down on holiday and read the reviews, then heard people talkjng about the amazing food and wine and staff whilst on a train, so thought we would visit. What a great place, relaxed, friendly, welcoming and professional. The food was amazing, we had the duo platter with a bottle of Rose. Staff are friendly and know their stuff. Although we do not live locally we will be back just to visit this place again. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

Went with a group of 6 of us and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great for a relaxed evening out with friends. We had the sharing platter and there was more than enough, it worked out about £15 per head without drinks so it's really reasonable. There's a great atmosphere and it's nice to go somewhere different for a change.

First time in a while my partner and I got excited about a new restaurant, Southampton is full of lots of popular chains but nothing that is a bit different, this independent is a welcome gem! Lovely decor, great serving staff who can talk you through all the different cheeses, meats and wines on the menu and what tops it off is the quality of everything we ordered! I was under wrong impression it will be really sophisticated and expressive wine place. Such a positive surprise I was wrong! Stuff is really welcoming and professional and place feels warm and cosy with really affordable prices for every pocket. Portions are enough to satisfy. Really nice vibe and great selection (with a descriptions) of meat and cheese on the menu. Everyone who has a savoury tooth and enjoys good wine (or other alcohol) combined with relax and amazing service should make a visit and then add to their list of favourite spots in Soton.

A fantastic new addition to the local area. Quality wines, amazing food, and excellent service from Milo. This new wine bar sits in the up and coming area of Southampton tucked behind Oxford Street. The first thing that hits you is the amazing amazon ceiling which is a cascade of foliage with exotic palms. The lighting in the evening is soft and seductive and the music level is prefect. Its a place to go and meet friends share some fantastic wine and pick over the sharing boards. The best part though has to be their fine selection of Vegan wines and their superb Vegan sharing board that comes ladened down with delicious cheeses , chutney , home made hummus and a very fiery jam aptly named ..The Apocolypse...its hotter than a hot thing. We had a lovely time when we visited the staff are really friendly and it was a very good first experience, one I cant wait to repeat.

Heard about this restaurant today and had to go. I myself had a lovely glass of Grenache and my partner a Gin and Tonic that was paired beautifully. The bruschetta had soft and sweet tomatoes with what I can only assume was a hint of pickled shallot. Very nice. Refreshing and subtly different. A generous amount of bread with oil also. Oil was nice and not an overpowering choice. Which meant the flavours from the bread still came through. The taster board, with a very nice selection of meats and cheeses. I chose Air Dried Mangalitza, Wild Mushroom and Truffle Saucisson. Isle of Wight blue and Old Winchester. The board was generously adorned with rocket, olives, grapes, crackers, and some delicious fresh figs. I chose the mixed fruit and cinnamon, truly a beautiful chutney. All was of high quality and tasted amazing. The vegan board was just as good with a refreshing hummus, grapes, peppers onions, smoked almonds, vegan cheese. Both were served with bread and butter/vegan butter. Overall a very nice experience and we will be back 😊
