Located at the top of West Quay shopping centre. I gave this place a try on a friend’s recommendation. Very accessible and easy to find. Cleanliness is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. It’s mostly a one off visit for me but, I gave it a try. I had the cayenne pepper sauce dip Chicken meal and a cola drink. The burger was good but I had a lot of fries and I found them too salty. I didn’t finish the fries. I would recommend it for a treat but, if you are trying to eat healthily don’t make it a regular thing. To sum up: Fries we’re overly salty.

Wow! Just delicious!! Went here as it was on my need to go to list! And all I can say is I have an addiction to this place...🤣 Got the 7 piece tender meal with large fries and bottomless drinks for £12.95! Shared between me and my partner, and we practically melted in our seats! 😂 Got honey bbq sauce and garlic sauce on the side, oh and toast with it! Seriously my words don't do it justice, but I will be coming back...and almost every other weekend? Haven't decided on how much of a fat pig I'll be yet? 🤔 Check out the image for interest! Disabled friendly, plenty of space to manoeuvre around, usual covid rules etc... 5 delicious stars!! 😊

A nice addition to West Quay! Slim Chickens is a bit like Five Guys and KFC had a baby. Great selection of chicken themed meals such as chicken burgers, wings or tenders. Also there are several flavour options for each meal for example Spicy BBQ, Honey BBQ etc. They also offer a good selection of drinks & milkshakes too! Order took a while to revive and can be a little expensive. Two regular meals + some wings came to almost £30! But personally the chicken tasted good, fries were piping hot (better than five guys) and great choice of sauces! Would probably look to dine here again. Good spot for lunch if you find yourself in West Quay. 🍗🍔🥤

Getting a table was a long wait. Restaurant was buzzing with lots of customers, you must order at the self service, and the spread is good, food is good & the service is good, an enjoyable place. (All food is fried so if you on a non fried food diet not the place for you). Further Visit Consistent food, consistent service, well done guys. Slims Chicken -West Quay, Southampton. Some recent additions to the pic library from our most recent visit, have to mark you down I’m afraid my burger was cold which should be impossible!

I love this place. Some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had. Meals are great sizes, great quality food for the very good and reasonable price. Daughter has a kids meal which is just right loves the garlic toast. Service is always on point and always a full restaurant but always room to get in and never waiting too long. I came in here today (13/05/22) to try out this lovely shop that I've heard good reviews about and all I can say is WOW!! I had the plain chicken sandwich and added cheese and bacon for £1 and got a pot of garlic and cheese dipping sauce, the burger was to die for and full of flavour and crispy too. I highly recommend this shop it's located in the far left side of West Quay. 👍🏽🤤😍👌🏽

First time eating at this chain. Food was amazing. Two of us had burgers and one had chicken tenders. Burgers were really good but the tenders were incredible. Love the selection of dipping sauces too. Only reason not five start, no option for plain chips and one of us did not like the flavouring, and burgers were a little on the small side for the price. Would definitely eat here again.

What an absolute delightful experience. From amazing service to quick and hot food serviced right to your table. McDonald’s was a thought on our mind every time coming to Southampton but that has now changed for the better after retrieving an amazing, top quality food which I devoured in second. First time visit, the vibe did not disappoint. Service was very fast and staff very friendly. Great soda fountain choices for bottomless drink. The chicken wings were very tasty and very well coated, no extra dip (included) really needed, but good to have it! The chicken tenders were very well seasoned and the meat was very tender. The portion of fries is quite generous, small portion is enough for two (unless you are a big fan of fries). For wings: The only "negatives" and reason for a non-5 star is(if you can call it that as it is subjective) is that, at least for the first time visit when you want to try as many flavors as possible, you need to order in threes, making it more expensive (even though I understand the business logic of it), which once you are familiar with the flavors, there is no need to order as many, but it would be nice to have a big portion with assorted flavors. Also even though is not extortionate and I would go back, the price is a bit high for chicken wings. Regarding the dips, they were amazing, the only one that did not taste like is supposed to was the Ranch dip, unless that is how they make Ranch in Arkansas. I would also like to add that the buffalo coating is amazing.

It’s what KFC wishes it was. Brilliant crispy chicken without the grease. Whenever we come to Southampton we eat here. The chicken and chips are top notch, recommend the garlic cheese sauce! And don’t forget to try the popcorn milkshake… you won’t regret it! Friendly staff and an American style environment

Looking for an eatery and saw Slim Chickens- decided to try it out for the first time. I had the BBQ Honey chicken burger and fries which was tasty. Never been to a slim chickens before. But was in Southampton for work. Easy electronic ordering system with table service just like the big chains. Chicken was tasty and cooked really well, not dry at all. Chips were amazing, I’d go back just for them. I’d say better than any of the major chains. They were super crispy without being oily. Not normally a reviewer but happy to on this occasion especially as the staff member went out his way to ask politely and the food was awesome!

Thought we would give this a go as we were looking around for somewhere to eat. Prices slightly expensive was £25 for two burgers, chips & milkshakes but wasn't too fussed about that for a one off thing. Went to collect my order which was relatively fast but then I asked where my drinks were. I was then stood there for nearly an extra 10 minutes holding my chicken as it got colder waiting for two milkshakes to be made. By the time I sat down my burger was pretty cold. All tasted nice though just expected a bit better service than a KFC if I'm paying the extra.

Yesterday I visited slim chicken in southampton. My total opinion - is good. Prices quite expensive for one portion, but one portion enough for two people (one portion costs about 10-11 pounds). Chicken was fried well - but without sauce I probably will nit finist eat. Potatoes were amazing, I eat them all. They are tasty and with sause and without. One more advantage of this quick food restaurant - you can choose which sause you want and they give a bottomless drink - drink as much as you want.

KFC on steroids! This is how chicken should be. Thoroughly enjoyed the wings as a little starter. The Korean BBQ sauce is lovely with a tiny bit of heat. Honey BBQ sandwich was delicious, the seasoning on the fries was lovely- probably horrifically bad for you but tasted great. Wife had the salad meal and now she's making me try to recreate it as she enjoyed it that much. Hand spun shakes were pretty darn good too. All in all very impressive, maybe a little pricey, but you get what you pay for! Well done slim chickens!

The place was nice and clean. The staff were welcoming. Food was ok. Ordered chicken burger meal and wings. Wings were a bit dry and hard. Same with chicken burger but the rest of the toppings were great and chips was also good. Might try it again after a while to see if it’s different.

Had a really good experience at West Quay Southampton on 12/08/2021 I forgot to get the ladies name wearing a black t shirt who was very helpful was a bit confusing using the kiosk to order food as was not layed out correctly on the screen as we mistakenly ordered plant based food and not chicken the lady was very understanding and changed the meals straight away foe us and come over to check if all was over with the meal would deffo go back again bit a bit pricey that's the only fault

Great lunch time stop in Southampton. Chicken is much better than KFC or McDonalds style tenders. Think if 5 Guys did chicken, this is what you would get! Staff are super friendly and helpful as well. Kudos to the grey haired man on the customer area who was more than helpful with questions we had.

The fries were crisp and the chicken was tender and tasty it was well seasoned, with selection of interesting dips. Bottomless drinks no bottled water and hand mixed shakes. I don't believe on a bad day it could be worthy of one star. I heard at least three people near me saying that they loved it. The service was also quick and friendly.

I was just served by Matt handling the door, the restaurant was busy and I’m a larger guy, the only table available was the high table, seeing that I felt uncomfortable with this Matt quickly arranged for us to eat on the table just outside the restaurant in the food court so we could still enjoy our food and the 50% off, massive credit to Matt at the door for being so awesome and accommodating, He’s a credit to the restaurant and the perfect accompaniment to a fantastic meal!

Nice! Main restaurant is quite small but you could get takeaway if no room. You can self order at the kiosk or order at the till. The chicken was hot and fresh. I personally didn't care for the coating, it was fine if a little bland, but nice and juicy. It was helped out by the BBQ dip. My son, however, enjoyed it a lot. It was also fairly expensive, more than I would usually pay for chicken and chips. However, my 5 stars is for the service. All the staff were so friendly, especially the guy on the door, really nice welcome, staff at the till were nice as well and the girl who took our rubbish away, equally so! 🙂

If anyone's looking for the closest thing to Popeye's chicken, come here, the chicken tenders are nearly spot on besides the signature batter. The fries are incredible, they pair best with the ranch dressing. I'm definitely going to be making this my regular take out meal, plus the servers in Southampton were so sweet!!

Offered a taster as walked past and had to go in and have a meal. Girls absolutely loved the chicken and the Fries. Very helpful staff who even adjusted tables so we could seat our family of 5. Misses enjoyed her Double BBQ Burger, even had to order more chicken as the girls liked it so much altho they were stuffed when they left. Food was provided quickly and staff were all polite and willing to help where possible. Will be back next trip to Southampton from the Island which should be this week.
