S. E.In short Stakks is amazing.
I visited with my partner 2 years ago and its been a stable talking point and joke in our relationship that we would casually go there from London just to have stakks.
I'm vegan and they have loads of sweet and savoury options; definitely more than any other dessert house I've been too. These are served as crepes as opposed to actual pancakes. My partner is spoiled for choice as a non vegan. Me being a sweet tooth and them loving savory, we both had plenty of options and we're very happy.
The service is efficient and is done similarly to nandos where you go up to pay. And what I like is they actually give you enough time to eat and try the food before the staff ask if everything is good.
Music choices are strange but it adds to the charm and the decorations are really nice with some Instagram worthy walls.
If you're in Southampton, run to stakks.

We went here as a party of 5 compromising of a vegan, a vegetarian, someone with intolerances and two omnivores and every single one of us were able to enjoy pancakes without compromising on what we wanted.
It was so good that we opted for the savoury pancakes on one day then went back the next day and had some sweet pancakes.

The early opening time (0830 hrs) is really useful, and we love the food - thoroughly recommended!

So I thought I should actually go there and see how different they are when they are just cooked. Wow, what a difference if you have them straight off the griddle, I had their amazing Blueberry Pancakes with Maple Syrup and Bacon, definitely my favourite Stakk so far! Very friendly and helpful staff, I will be back for more lol!

If you enjoy generous toppings, good portion sizes and great value for money, then I guess it's not a warning, just the threat of a good time.
Attached picture is the Stakk titled 'The Chocoholic'. As an actual chocolate addict myself, I can say you definitely get what you expect. You know the famous "food coma" that a big plate of tasty food puts you in...this gets you there! 👌 Not to mention, the best American pancakes I've eaten since making them fresh at home. J.Really nice pancakes here and fantastic service. The reason for the 4 stars is that when eating the Eton Mess Pancake Stakk, my partner and I noticed that there was no strawberry coulis or whipped cream in between the layers. This then caused the whole stack to be really dry and not very enjoyable. When ordering this stack the staff assured me that there would be both cream in the stack and ice cream on top. The other stakks that we had was the Biscoff Stakk (pictured) and the Veggie English Stakk - both were incredible! Unfortunately the missing coulis and cream in the Eton Mess one dissapointed us.
L. S.I ordered strawberry stakk and I wasn't disappointed. I loved their pancakes, so fluffy and soft. Staff was also really friendly.
I would recommend anyone to visit this place as they have not only sweet but also savoury options, so it is for everyone!

N.This is my first time in England visiting from Bermuda and I had been searching for a breakfast spot with more than just coffee and pastries when I stumbled upon Stakks. I'm a very finicky eater who enjoys a big, "American style" breakfast so I just had to eat here when I saw the menu. I'm also a "plain" eater so not very adventurous and chose the simple stakk with cinnamon and sugar, an omelette and sausages. This meal was DELICIOUS! It was so fresh, great portion size and just tasty! This was Monday. I went back today and plan on having one last breakfast from here tomorrow morning before I leave to go back home. Well done chef! You should consider expanding to the US.

R. H.Every friend and family member I have brought here loves it. The food is incredibly good quality, especially the amazing Aubergine Caviar and you can mix and match toppings to make your own.
They have a separate vegan menu and friendly staff.
The only somewhat annoying thing is as they are in a shopping mall without doors on their unit it's quite noisy with competing music from the other places around it and you can hear the blender from shakeaway, however as they are now on Deliveroo you can get their amazing food delivered to a quiteter location of your choice.

S. C.Busy morning for the guys here! My mum was visiting for the morning and thought we'd try this place out. We were warmly greeted by the girl on the till (blonde sorry didnt catch her name) and guided to a table where we were provided nice clean menus from which to choose our food. While we were there the resturant got quite busy and so we did wait a little while for our food but we were't worried as we weren't in a hurry. (Staff were doing the best the could with so many customers with what seemed like short staff numbers). The food was delicious, well portioned and looked amazing. All socially distanced and clean. If you're on the fence try this place out!

p.Stakks was a pleasure to have lunch in. They provide a good variety of pancakes from sweet to savory. My partner and I are both vegan, so their separate vegan menu was much appreciated. Their somewhat private location makes for a relaxing experience, and the service is just as nice. If you're into sweet things, I recommend trying their milkshakes, particularly oreo or chocolate. They made a tasty strawberry-banana smoothie as well. Do note that the smoothies/milkshakes are pretty expensive for the amount you get. Overall a lovely place for any pancake fan.

The New York City stack is a personal favourite. Plenty of bacon and plenty of syrup on three American pancakes.
The service is pretty fast and the staff are all really friendly. The milkshakes are great and they give you alot of whipped cream if you'd like.
Occasionally they have special flavours on offer for their lattes and they are always worth trying.

L.Best Pancakes I've ever tasted in my life and that's saying something, I had the English one and definitely was the best way to start the morning, streaky bacon was nice and crispy and normally I don't like my bacon crispy but this made the dish, the egg on top was nice and runny just the way I like it pop the yolk and let it run down over the whole thing and this is the sauce you need, definitely will be coming back in the future.

Seating has never been an issue and we've been able to bring our kids along. I should state that the menu covers a variety of pancake styles so if you don't like pancakes, might want to give this place a miss.

It would be nice if they could introduce a thicker American version, but frankly it's great just to be able to eat such yummy pancakes. I always get an NYC Stakk, the classic bacon and maple syrup combo. Delicious! Staff are friendly and helpful and the do a decent milkshake too. If you just want a classic flavour, beat the line at the shakeaway opposite and get one with some pancakes.

D. L.What a lovely establishment. I find that generally speaking, the surrounding restaurants have unstimulated staff with subpar service and even worse food. But this little gem tucked in the corner of the Marlands is my favourite place to take my family for a good old American breakfast. Not only is there service on par with American standard (I'm an American citizen) but they legitimately have the best pancakes I've eaten in the UK!
When I first started going, the pancakes were "OK" and the service was good, but lately, after giving them a chance to find their stride, it's easily my favourite place to go! My only complaint is I wish I could buy a stakks t-shirt! Lovely staff, great management amazing breakfast. They've earned themselves a loyal customer for sure!!

Both savoury and sweet options are all delicious, but I can particularly recommend the Cornish Stakk. They also offer fresh smoothies and freshly squeezed juices. Highly recommended.

I had GF tuna pancakes which was the best tuna sandwhich I have had in my whole life! After that I had a sweet fruit pancake which was just as tasty. I can't wait to eat here again and will definatly be recommending to other people. The best GF pancakes ever ❤

A. S.The pncakes are realky nice as well as the milkshake. I was let down by their coffe. The first time, half the glass (for a latte ) was only froth and the second time we got so much syrup in there that it was way too sweet.
Also i think it is expensice for pancakes , but not as expensive as some other places i like the deaign of the place. We tried sweet and sour pancakes too. They are delicious!!

S. (.Pancakes were overcooked on the outside but stodgy on the inside... Drinks are tiny for the price, and the fizzy drinks aren't even fizzy. Bit overpriced for what you get... Was a lot better a couple years back. But it's manageable.

I. F.Stakks maybe the only pancake house in town but my god is it amazing. Nice chilled atmosphere and very friendly staff.
I have tried a few of the options but by far my favourite is the English stak with America pancakes and extra hash browns. The layer of pancakes, sausage patty, hash browns, mushrooms, grilled tomato, fried egg melt in your mouth, the pot of baked beans you can poor over the top of the stakk tops this stak off perfectly. What more could you ask for!? Oh I know a nice cold, refreshing milkshake. Well worth the visit to Stakks you will not be disappointed. A must place to go if visiting the city or local. (do note that Stakks is in the marlins shopping mall so not open to late)

J. T.One word, life changing. I flew out from Hayward California after hearing word that the Cornish stack is the greatest in the land. I landed at Southampton airport at 9pm so unfortunately those cool cats from Stacks had gone home for the day. I spent the night in the Premier Inn across from the new bit of West Quay. The breakfast buffet there was simply horrid and gave me bad vibes for what was to come. Luckily, when I stepped over the threshold of Stacks Pancake House and locked eyes with the gorgeous fair haired boy behind the counter (I believe his name was Brandon) I knew I was in safe hands. I ordered the Cornish Stack with an Americano. Let me tell you a little something about those jabroni's behind the counter. Those guys have mastered the Four Elements™ Earth™, Water™, Fire™ and Air™. Instead of using this immense power for world domination or to pick up hot babes in Oceana these absolute heros use their powers from millennia's of training to craft the finest pancakes us humans have had the pleasure of tasting. To wrap up, good food, good geezers, good place
