We spend couple of days in Southampton for a short holiday. At the same time we tried quite a few numbers of deferent restaurant for our lunch and dinner. Just to let you know that, among all of them "TEXAS GRILL" is the hidden gem. The Zingi burger is the best. Prices are very reasonable,service was absolutely spot on. Highly recommended.

Great food. Great service. Chops were Cooked to perfection. Seared on the outside pink in the middle. Only downside. Chicken was a little dry but still very tasty! Had ice cream after dinner and was surprised! Open one near me I would definately eat here again!

Had to travel to Southampton from London on some last minute family business. Checked into a little hotel and was recommended this restaurant by the taxi driver . Was a bit sceptical . Got there 30 mins before closing time and they accommodated me my wife and 2 children . I ordered the half peri chicken hot meal , and a burger meal . Let me say daaaam that chicken was fantastic lovely flavour very fresh especially considering It was closing. Ordered a choc milkshake whic was nice as well . All in all I actually prefer their peri chicken than nandos 100 percent cheers all

I'm not a local so I come to this place every now and then. Each time, the food has always been top notch. Be it the gourmet specials, lamb chops, steaks, etc. Milkshakes are brilliant too. In particular, the King Ferrero. Good family environment. However, the hygiene around the place could be better and I've noticed the prices have gone up recently. It's not an issue for me as like I said, I'm not a regular. But the prices were better off as it used to be as you'd always be getting great value for money. This is still a place I recommend for dining with friends or family.

Burgers were delicious, takes a while to cook though. Chips on the other hand were a let down given it was a gourmet place. Finally do NOT get wings as 'hot' without ice nearby ....MAN they were hot!!!!! They do milkshakes but mine wasn't great (I think chocolate i chose was old). Def worth revisit

Great food, been a regular since 2013. The prices have gone up compared to what it was used to be but the new management have put them down slightly. And along with the prices they improved the food too, its similar to how it used to taste, which its tasty blud . Burgers and shakes are some of the best, stuff joe 😋

I love this place! Their extra spicy chicken wings are to die for. They have a great selection of sauces and it is reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly! It does get a bit loud but definitely the place you want to be after a few pints. They offer takeaway as well and never had to wait long for food. They also do an unlimited salad bar, ice creams and milkshake! The burgers are pretty good as well

Ordered through Just Eat a couple of weeks ago. The menu looked amazing and as I could use my nhs discount still we thought we would have a treat. The order arrived really fast and was obviously all freshly prepared. The burgers were absolutely delicious and hit the spot, and the milkshakes finished it off a treat. Love this place, been a regular for years and never had one complaint ever so time to leave the review they deserve. Huge variety of food and all of it it done well! Iv not found a takeaway/restaurant to the same consistent standard in Southampton. Use them frequently as a healthy option to takeaway as most of it is grilled! Chicken, burgers, shakes lamb chops are all amazing. Always a busy atmosphere and they cope really well with orders flying out on time. Really nice blokes working there. For a restaurant to not mess up even a minor detail of an order even once in years speaks volumes in my opinion! Keep it up lads

New Update: This used to be my favourite burger place when ever I craved for a burger, I always used to come with my family and have a nice meal, recently my favourite Arizona hot has changed, they made it thinner, the patty and the price has gone up for everything! I've tried all their food and it's not the same as before! Customer service is down even for regular customers.

Cheap and Cheerful. No frills just your basic fast food meals. Decent burgers and the chicken Gujons and Steak fries are yummy. Salads are lack luster and nothing special. Ribs are good and Steak can sometimes be good. Bit hit of miss. I recommend the juicey Lucy, and any chicken burger and you should be quiet happy. Prices have gone up but portion sizes are still very large. Better then Meat Bay next door (owned by same management)

However the place definitely needs a refurb, and not just a fresh kick of paint! Need more seating areas and decent sized tables, to be fair think meat bay and Texas should just swap shops! Hygiene lacks here and there that’s why I don’t use the toilets. But a refurb would make the world of difference

The best food in Southampton! Full stop. Lovely atmosphere in the evenings though the food is the main attraction. The Juicy Lucy being my favourite, particularly with an extra patty. The succulent taste of the patty and the unique 'Juicy lucy Squelch' that occurs when a bite is taken from it is to die for. Moreover, the milkshakes are by far the best in Southampton. Stumbled across this place which tbh does not look very inviting from the outside neither does the decor inside, but I have got to say their food was on point for Southampton standards. Lamb chops had quite a bit of fat on them which wasn't the best but the half chicken and chips made up for it. Would highly recommend if in Southampton and do not want to have another cold tuna sandwich from the supermarket 😃

I love this place, most of the time! 9 out of 10 times the food is delicious, the service is warm and it's ready in a reasonable time. The other times, they are more interested in chatting to friends in the busy restaurant, the food is overcooked and the order is wrong, with either the wrong fries (not spicy/cheesy/sweet) the salad or pita missing or it just takes soooooo long to get your milkshake your food is cold by the time you do. I wish I could work out a pattern so I could avoid it on the bad days, but it really is (usually a) hit and (the occasional) miss. The food is sooo delicious tho I have to excuse the sporadic shortcomings. The best chicken with the best peri peri sauce ever and the burgers really are delicious, too. I've never eaten in so cannot attest to the table service. I will update this review when/if I do ever sit in the restaurant.

We came here as a stop off from Manchester.. On to our location..As a family of 5 great seating area to enjoy your food.. With high chairs..The food oh my god... I've never seen so many variations in burgers. The food was fantastic some of the best I've had. The peri grills tasted amazing.. The burgers I think are customised to the dinner as I have never seen them in your typical take away or restaurants. It doesn't stop there... The gelato ice creams omg we ended up having 4 scoops of the mojito ice cream when we only went in for one. Can't recommend this place enough. Zaheer
