Really enjoyed my classic cheese burger and fries, very filling. Very lively atmosphere, quite loud though so you need to talk loudly but it's not unbearably loud. It seems like loads of people go to TGIs for birthday meals, so lots of happy birthday celebrations all round. Staff are very friendly, all wore face coverings throughout service aswell which I thought was very good/ comforting. All in all, recommend it, will probably return in the future.

Loved the dining experience upon arriving such as the friendly staff who check if you need anything like drinks refilled and it was a pleasent less crowded time so easy to be seated (arrived after 1pm) but most importantly, the food was delicious (had the Classic American Cheese Burger) so had an amazing lunch and my friend did too. Definitely recommend! ☺

As a North American, I was surprised to see a TGIF in England. Being that we were there for a cruise, and we needed to eat dinner before turning in for the night, we chose to eat here (rather than the McDonald's which is right next door). It was like being back in the States: it was noisy with little kids running around. But the service was okay--there was a lot of people that night so we understood why the service was a bit lacking, but once it lightened up we were able to speak with our waitress at a more lighter level--she had just gotten chewed out because one person at another table didn't understand why she was being charged a particular item. The food was good, but it was expensive for the amount of food you finally get.

Not as great as it used to be. Food was hot but it tasted a little bland. We were sat near this huge traffic light on the wall and it gave near enough everyone on our table a headache. Can't fault our waitress though. She was lovley. However, there needs to be more of a choice for Vegetarians. My nan came with us last night and all she had was a plate of fries and some hallomi fingers. No good having the vegan stuff there and literally nothing for veggies.

May and August 2018 Close to the hotel thay I stayed for 2 weeks, decided me to visited this TGIF resto in Soton! Since my first visited, continuously made me to come there! + : You must try Duck Salad and Pork Ribs.... Duck salad was very fresh, the sauce and how they cooked the duck was so perfect, its really taste combination between asian and british flavour. The duck didn't smelt like a duck! Perfect.... ribs was a lovely grilled ribs I ever had. The Jack Daniels sauce will be my fav.one.... the meat was so tendered..the french fries was so fresh - : Nothing I think. But if live music there, it would be perfect! Price was affordable and worth to spent!

I visited TGI Fridays on Monday 9 March 2020 at lunchtime, a weekday during term time. I was with one other person. I've visited this restaurant several times. I parked in the car park outside - parking was easy but you do have to pay to park. The restaurant comprises of one large main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service. The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed mozzarella dippers for my starter and the Double Glazed Jack Daniel's burger for my main course. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food is a little on the pricey side versus similar chain restaurants - I paid around £30 for the two courses and drinks. Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come and visit again.

Frankly I don't know what I expected. Its just like the Harvester but with an American feel and higher prices. My kids enjoyed their food but myself and my wife had not so good experience. Wife's chicken salad tasted off and was returned and my beef rib (paid £23 for it!) although very tender tasted like beef stock. It was odd, very moist to the point of being over saturated with the juices which made it unpleasant to eat. Try eating a shredded beef that's drowning in a very thin gravy and you will get the idea.

Food and drinks were good but the service was really slow, even though it was half full. We had to wait ages for someone to notice us to take us to a table and also had to wait ages for a refill on a lemonade. (Asked a waiter prior and he forgot about it so it came about half an hour later, with the bill.) Not a bad place though, and the milkshakes were great! (Cream on top tasted a teensy bit sour though.)

The quality at this restaurant has gone downhill significantly since before the pandemic when I last visited, they were out of several essential ingredients, their cocktail menu is severely reduced, despite it not being particularly busy, service was very slow, we would've ordered more cocktails after our meal but were left for over 15 mins so just asked for the bill. One thing they have improved though is the vegan burger, it used to be very dry and sad and was actually quite tasty this time which was good as the vegetarian burger meal has been entirely removed from the menu

We had a click and collect meal the night before our cruise. The food quality was excellent and the vegan burger was really good. My lemonade was missing but customer service was exceptional when I told them. I had a voicemail apologising and a refund within a few days. We will definitely eat here before our next cruise.

Delicious but very pricey. Booked a table online and glad we did because it was absolutely packed (but this was a Saturday night at 6pm!). Our server, William, was very nice, polite and welcoming. Service was timely considering how busy they were. Food was absolutely delicious! Better than I've had before from there. I had the chicken finger meal and mozzarella dippers as a side, my friend had chicken fingers and onion rings as a side. The onion rings weren't to her taste but we polished everything else off. The only thing I'd say is even though it was absolutely scrummy, I felt it was a tad on the expensive side for the volume of food you got. But, if you don't get here often (like me) and want a treat, then I couldn't fault it. Will be back once I've had another payday! Side note: if you're still nervous about COVID and environments, I would say this probably isn't the place for you. Masks aren't mandatory (like most places now) and it was fully packed, no social distances of tables at all and staff didn't have to wear masks either. Can't comment on if they were disinfecting tables between each use but I didn't see anyone doing it. Ventilation was minimal as heating was on and windows closed. So on that front, not great for COVID-anxious people. But table was clean, plates clean and toilets clean too.

Spur of the moment visit yesterday to treat our 2 children. Arrived to be told they had none of the slush style cocktails available. However Yanna was great at finding the perfect cocktail for me and was very apologetic. Then on to the kids mains which they had no smiley faces available - yet again yanna stepped up and provided an upgrade of garlic bread with the main at no extra cost. Partner has a poppy seed allergy. The manager and staff were great at communicating this to the kitchen and other staff members. Our son who is suspected autism remembered a time we went on his birthday and was making a big fuss of having a slice of TGI’s famous birthday cake! Yanna again was great and brought him a slice (not on the menu) with a candle and we pretended it was his birthday again! She was amazing with our children and a great credit to TGI. Our son also had a little too much to eat and was sick on the floor. Staff were quick to check he was ok and reassured him that everything was fine and not to worry as long as he was ok. They went down to his level and listened to him and made him much calmer than he would of been. We will definitely be back and hope Yanna and the manager we met this time will serve us yet again. Oh and burgers were amazing too!

My husband and I were celebrating our 44 wedding anniversary and found the staff very friendly. We were half way through our meal when 2 members of staff arrived with another round of drinks,saying our daughter had phoned and said she wanted to buy us drinks. They also brought 2 glasses of sparkling wine, which were complementary. We later found out that they never charged our daughter for her drinks either. Both Rob and Mike were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help rectify the issues despite it being down to the late driver from Just Eat. Food and service were great. The reason for three stars is due to the current COVID-19 situation and poor table management. You're given an allocated time slot, however if a table doesn't stick to their slot, it has a knock of effect to all the tablets after it. We were kept waiting due to the a table earlier in the day over running. They either need to enforce people to stick to their slot or allow a buffer.

Nice location, very elegant interior and quite spacious as well. Went in for a lunch over a Saturday noon. Didn't like the food much, it was served in 45 minutes, steaks were cold and almost burnt. Staff is too busy to entertain customer's complaints. I would not go back again because I think this is not how American food is served. I am sure a lot of people may have good experience too but when things go wrong they probably don't have a decent way to mitigate those. Also, I can't say it is value for money, 6oz of stake for £20 - definitely not value for money.

Lovely American food from steak to burgers. If you get ant sauce make sure it's the TGI special as it goes perfectly with the steak or burgers. Very disappointed. We last visited Fridays a few years ago (Fareham branch) and our favourite meal was always fajitas. So this was our meal choice this last visit. When the fajitas arrived we were told there was no soured cream as they had just run out (but we'd had some with our shared nachos starter). We wondered why they couldn't just send someone across to ASDA to get some more as it's only 5 minutes away, but hey. We were offered mayonnaise instead, which just isn't the same. Moreover, fajitas apparently don't come served with grated cheese any more, which we regard as an essential part of the meal. My partner's blackened chicken version was also more than just a little blackened, and he left most of it. The tortillas are smaller than they used to be. We make our own fajita meals at home based on the original Fridays style and frankly they are way better compared to this. Shan't be bothering with Fridays again, sorry, though the service was generally good, hence 3 rather than 2 stars.

This sort of fun filled, well priced delicious food is why we all love Fridays.

walked into the premises dated music level bit too loud for both time of day and trade level was greeted by a lovely girl elly may who i found later had similar name to my daughter (lily mai) she was very engaging and between her and the male member of staff who served us made the visit bearable... haven't been to tgi's for a few months and always found the weekday deal amazing however to find a price change written at the entrance two courses with a higher price was a little upset but still made the effort as food previous was of good quality, was seated at table which had little to nothing salt and pepper placed in middle of table (close to empty) as i am quite obsessed to attention to detail found this extremely off-putting. looking through the menu began to question my decisions for location for tea but carried on to order. my step daughter order loaded skins and chicken BLT from the 2 course for 9.99 menu, my partner ordered buffalo wings and jack daniels chicken from the 2 course 14.99 and i ordered jack daniels chicken strips and 8oz new york strip. appetizers arrived and we began to eat poured my jd sauce over chicken strips and chowed down to find no taste and what could only be described as watered down nastiness, didn't want to make a scene so finished meal and questioned if new recipe for sauce, which replied no as ordered in not home made, accepted this and waited for mains to arrive.... mains arrived and on arrival of daughters BLT waitress placed down exclaiming she wasn't sure if any bacon in the chicken "B"lt my partners meal arrived before hand with mine and instantly saw an empty Jack Daniels chicken plate where mash should be (there was mash there but honestly value for money i think not) i began to dunk my chips into JD sauce and like water it ran off, and once again no taste... called the waiter over and offered him to try the chips which he didn't want to and mentioned the lack of mash he went off to the kitchen to fetch more sauce and mash in the time it took for it to arrive our food was getting colder and colder. and as i looked to my left it seemed the chap on the table next had similar issue with lack of sauciness. dunked my chip and instantly saw my mouth drool from the lovely oozy little gem that is JD Glaze carried on with my meal which as this point was luke warm, finished paying bill which took 15 mins after table was cleared and left.... 100% not satisfied with visit just glad the front of house staff had great customer service skills or i could have seen myself walking out the door without paying!!!!!! TGI sort it out you use to be great!!!!!
