I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips. I ordered a small chips and a small fish which was cod with of course, curry sauce. The chips are cooked well and crispy and the fish was very tasty. I got served by a young man. He was very polite and help me with my menu. Overall, the fish and chip shop was clean and quick so I would recommend if you’re in the area.

Friendly chip shop with good quality, tasty food and decent sized portions. Big fan of the salt and pepper squid, which makes a nice change from usual chip shop options. Very busy so have missed items from our order a few times, have rectified each time - customer service is excellent, but we make sure to double check our bag before leaving now.

Spend a few days in the Hamble , thought we would treat our self’s to fish & chips wow the BEST ever! Such big portions delicious !! Would recommend deserves a 5 + star rating!

Today was the second time I had come to this chippy and I have to say it's my new favourite. I used to go to the one in Holly Hill but I will now be coming here. The Chips are crispy and the staff are on point with a friendly approach. Can't wait to come again in the future and sample more of their menu. Highly recommended

For my money, the best chippy in the local area. Never had a bad takeaway from there - always well cooked fish and the chips are always tasty. Portion sizes err on the side of super size for my liking - a small chips easily does two of us, but that's just a personal preference!

We went Good Friday for fish and chips. I had large Cod and my husband had large Haddock small chips each. It was lovely but it was £18. something. Won't be going back at those prices.!!!!

I had reservations when I saw a large cod was £5.95 (i guess it is 2019 after all). In the end I bought a large chips, large cod & 2 jumbo sausages for £13.40. The food was great & for the price I thought it was very reasonable. Definitely the best fish & chips I've had since living in the area. The customer service didn't exist, they didn't really speak to the customers nor to eachother, perhaps it was because they were young & lacked confidence. All in all good value for money.

The food here is always good quality its just the quantity is at question. Fish is fantastic and the batter is fluffy and crispy as good batter should be. Now the negatives. A portion of chips should be something that you can add to something like a sausage, fish cake or fish and enjoy a nice amount of chips with it. Several times i have been in and asked for 2 portions of chips to be given one portion that wont feed one let alone 2. The customer service in here is ok, but for a customer facing business i feel that the youngsters that serve in here need a bit more training. Maybe look up and acknowledge the customer is there and speak to them directly. Know the products you are selling so that you can confidently serve it. I could go on. In short you will get some good food if you shop here. The customer service is something they need to work on and maybe for the cost of a few extra chips, load people up a bit more so they feel fulfilled after eating, no matter what the appetite. I hope to be back soon to change this review to a 5 star and change the above text

First time I've used this chippy, and I have to say I was impressed. The staff were friendly. The prices as fish and chip shops go, were fair. Also, the portion size for a large portion was actually 'large', not when you buy a large portion and it looks like it should be a small. My only thought would be just adding abit more salt and vinegar on a large portion. As in a good way, I had soo many chips I could hardly taste the salt or vinegar. Good work team, I'll be using you again.

As we know it's been really strange year in 2020 due to Covid, yet many companies like "The Frying Fish" have adapted well, and the staff are nice & friendly too! It's my go to place if I fancy fish & chips. I especially like their Haddock & Chips with a coffee to wash it all down, it's my favourites when taking a walk along the shore in Warsash, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view with lovely hot food sat on your lap. Thank you all at "The Frying Fish".

Possibly my favourite chip shop. The chips are crunchy, yet fluffy, not too greasy. The cod is fantastic, again, crispy without being oily. I've yet to find a better chip shop in this or any other area.
