Cocktail evening with a dear friend turned into a lot of fun. Cocktails worth the price but could have been in a nicer looking glasses. We did laugh at the ones they use. Close to the train station so a perfect venue for a drive free evening out. Staff were very polite. Like the decor of beers around the upstairs seating area. Tables nice and clean but toilets left a lot to be desired. Dropped a star because of them. Otherwise would have given 5 star review.

Had pre show meal yesterday with my (very fussy) elderly mother. It was simply wonderful. Had a lovely spot reserved for us- easy to book online. The menu choices were great. Food was utterly delicious and piping hot. Service was outstanding- every team member was a delight and super helpful. Will definitely return. THANK YOU

Came here for a family meal. It was my first time coming here and certainly won't be the last. The decor was lovely and it just had a total chilled vibe which I love. We ordered a bottle of white wine which was fresh and cold. I ordered a pizza and it was perfect. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection. My family also enjoyed their food and said it was delicious. The staff were great also, very quick and friendly. It was a lovely afternoon spent here. I would highly recommend whether it be for a few drinks or some food. Thank you we shall be back 😁

A great experience! We dined here last month. We booked a table for 4, pre-show. It was a well oiled machine! We were met and seated by one of the owners - who was honest and engaging. I sat and watched the kitchen staff work (open kitchen) & it ran quickly, efficiently and smoothly. All staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious! We were told about food waiting times, which were fine (especially as they were so busy). Drinks were served quickly and correctly. Great menu, great food and great service - what’s not to love? We will definitely be returning.

Great place to stop for some lunch before heading to the nearby train station. We arrived shortly after it opened on a Friday afternoon, so it was rather quiet apart from a party of people next to us. Service was quick, easy to order at the bar, staff were super friendly and happy to help if need be. Great value for money, lovely chilled atmosphere, would definitely stop by here again, even for dinner.

Stopped here after a long drive down from Kent. Staff were friendly and we they had all the covid restrictions in place. Food was delicious, burgers are huge and very filling! Son loved his ice cream. Only small downside we found was that when we were up on the 1st level, due to the new restrictions you're unable to order at the bar so it felt like we had to wait a while for service as we were kind of up and out of the way. But it didn't affect our overall stay and we had a lovely family meal together, would definitely visit again if back in the area.

Each time I've been here the staff have been professional and kind consistently. Fun selection of beers both on tap and in the cans fridge (picked up a fresh West coast from BBNo which is always exciting to see!) The Covid-19 protections in place have been incredibly reassuring, including taking temperature on the door. Thank you all!!

We popped in here for some lunch before a show on a Saturday afternoon. The place was filling up and we were advised of a wait up to an hour for food, not a problem. Ordered the hunter chicken and falafel salad and can say they were the nicest meals we've had out in ages. Really tasty, generous portions, and arrived in about 40 minutes. Service was friendly and the food worth 5 stars. The only thing bringing the place down were the cleanliness of the toilet facilities. The toilet themselves were clean enough but the door plates, wall under the dryer,bottom of walls etc were thick with grime. With covid I feel cleaning regimes should be better, and admittedly these areas aren't ones you would touch (other than door handles/plates) but it was a definite lack of attention to detail. I have to say though, upstairs in the dining area things did look clean and everyone who came in was asked to sanitise. I would go back here all said

The staff, atmosphere and venue are amazing. My boyfriend and I love going here on the occasional Friday night (2 for 1 cocktails!) or sometimes Saturdays. They have a comedy club on Thursday nights which we went to once and saw some good comics. My only request is for is vegan options on the menu. And preferably not hot and spicy as so many vegan options are. We love Steve, Gary, Claire, Chelsea and the team (sorry, don't know everyone's names!) and highly recommend The Mayflower Village to everyone!

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived for a meal before the theatre. Staff were friendly and helpful even offering to take a photo as we were celebrating my 50th. Even without a reservation we were greated like loved family members as we entered this restaurant last night. We were off to see Facinating Aida next door and thought we'd start the night with a couple of cocktails and a good old catch up. Every member of staff we fun. Gary (the man in the hat) and Steve we extremely attentive, and started our evening as we meant to continue, with a lora lora laffs. Menu has something for everyone. Even had Mocktails, for those who don't drink. It was clean bright and the perfect place to celebrate, catch up or go for a date. Music wasn't too loud. It's not the cheapest places, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Always walk past this pub on the way to the train station but this was the first time I came in for food. The menu is just the right selection for it not to be over complicated, food was delicious and served piping hot , so fresh. Popped into The Mayflower Village yesterday evening for drinks before Rocky Horror at The Mayflower. It was very organised and all staff were friendly. They played a great selection of music that really created a happy and positive atmosphere. A big shout out to Managers Steve and Gary who were both very attentive and welcoming. The only thing that i would like to see happen, is that the cutlery and condiment sachets are put on the table before the food arrives. There was a delay between our meals arriving, and that it would have been nice if the ones that had their meals could get started.

Boss man at the door Hella rude. Asked for a table for 5 and he replied with "what for?". Very blunt & made me feel not welcome. Although the bar tender sorted me right out with 2for1 cocktails so he's recovered the 2 star rating into a 4 star.

Went to the Mayflower Village yesterday and the service was excellent. We were made to feel welcome and would highly recommend going here for all occasions. The food was excellent too.

The opening night was great, lovely atmosphere and very friendly hosts. The food which we sampled for free was nice and varied, they had some unique pizza toppings which I've never come across before. The refurbishment makes a huge difference, you wouldn't know it's the same venue. Really nicely finished.

Popped in for s quick pint before going to football. Convenient to Central Station and the Theatre next door. American themed. Was busy upstairs with people eating so we were directed downstairs fine nice bar area with a table tennis table. Big disappointment was they didn't have any bitter/beer on draft only cider and lager, there was no bottled beer either. On asking if we could have beer member of staff said you need to go upstairs for that!! We said it was busy and had been directed downstairs she possibly could have gone upstairs to find us some but didn't make an offer. We reluctantly had a quick pint and left. Suggest it wouldn't take much to keep some bottled beer in the fridges downstairs.

This is really cool and happy bar. All of tje pubs in surrounding are good vibrant, however this one is special. Again, the selection of beers is just great, ranging from international and known to domestic. The prices are reasonable and the place is bright, with good service. Enjoy!

Going to theatre so booked a table for 1230. Queue was out the door so couldn't order until 1250. We were told there was 1/2 hour wait. Waited 50 mins and still no sign so had to get a refund and leave. Don't know why it comes as a surprise to them that they are going to be busy at show time. They need more staff.

This place suffers from a sudden influx of patrons leaving the Mayflower Theatre next door. As a result the barstaff are overwhelmed yet do little to respond to that, which reflects poorly on management. Prices are very reasonable considering the location.
