I’ve been here on two different occasions, staff had always been friendly, advisable and welcoming. Service was quick, we were seated after a few minutes of entering, despite the capacity of the place. On my previous visit, I’ve tried the Rustica & Fiery Roquito and the Calzone Carne Picante. The Roquito was good, mediocre. The Calzone, however, was simply just better, the combination of tenderised meats and the overwhelming flavour left an impression. On my recent visit, I’ve ordered Rustica Meat Sofia and my friend ordered Rustica Pinoli. The Meat Sofia was underwhelming and lack the flavour, sounds better than it tasted. The Pinoli was definitely better. The goat’s cheese is very tasty and just wow. For dessert, my table shared a Tiramisu Brownie, which I don’t recommend. The texture was a nice combination, but we couldn’t taste the coffee flavour at all, so I wouldn’t be calling this a tiramisu. We also couldn’t taste the coconut and mascarpone as stated. It was bland. Overall, good service, food is okay, but could definitely get your money’s worth elsewhere.

Less than half capacity when we were seated, but the waiters were more interested in cleaning tables which were not in use and which did not have any customers waiting for, instead of asking for our drinks orders. Waited over 10 minutes to be asked what we'd like. The food came quickly and it was nice. The main was brought to us before we'd even finished our starter. Was not offered cheese or pepper for the pasta, no one checked on us during to see if we would like anything. The restaurant did at this point get busier but still not full, many tables empty still. We asked for our leftovers to be boxed up, so they brought us a box each to do it ourselves. I have never been expected to do this before in a restaurant, I would expect them to do this in the kitchen. The wait for the dessert was fine, not too long. However waiting for the bill was another 10 minutes at least. I kept trying to catch any waiters eye, and they glance at you but as soon as you make eye contact they look away. Was tempted to just walk out as we were being completely ignored. The whole experience took over 1.5 hours, much longer than expected. The food was nice, but the service was lazy and half arsed. Felt uncomfortable at times, like we were an inconvenience for being there. Not a dining experience I'll be coming back to again

Been going here for years even sat outside once we were able to start mixing again after covid. Went last night and was very disappointed with the menu. Not half the variety there was even back in November. Drinks and cocktail menu also limited. Used to do a nice g And t range which is no longer available. The food was OK but not as tasty as before. Also worth noting they no longer accept Tesco vouchers. Won't be going again.

Went there to celebrate a birthday dinner with a big group of friends. Service : was okay. Food: Giving 3 stars because of the quality of the food. I had a starter and The Zucca salad with some extra chicken. I also tried the Carbonara. Was absolutely tasteless, couldn't even taste the main garlicky ingredient. Overall: My standards are higher with italian food, I didn't get that "wow" effect. Tasted like a franchised version of an italian food. Good point: toilet is clean! :)

Very good Italian restaurant. The food was delicious BUT quite chit-ching I mean the portion size seemed small as compared to other Italian restaurants I have been to or maybe I was very hungry that day. I don’t know but yeah, customer is always right. Their 3 course menu is better than ordering single dish as I’m afraid man of my size would hardly get full. £18 deal for 3 courses isn’t bad. They served complimentary bucket of crips which was very nice. Other than that the location is feasible and waiters were very nice. Was served on wooden table and even some dishes are served on traditional Italian style. Recommend but order 1 extra dish just in case...

Good value kids meals, just the right size for a 3 and 7 year old. Unfortunately pizzas came out burnt - to be fair they replaced both kids pizzas when asked. Luckily it wasn't busy. 2 adult pasta dishes were ok, not amazing. Had better meals in the past at zizzi Winchester.

The place was really good and customer service amazing. We had to wait 30 minutes because it was hell busy, and we do understand because we work in a similar place. My half is vegan, and they have a quite good various choice of meat, vegetarian and vegan food. I am italian, and I can surely say that this was one of best italian restaurants I have been in UK. I live in London and I regretted to have not been there before. Some dishes are not 100% italian, but the ingredients are definitely genuine and cheese 100% italian in my opinion. I would definitely go again, even because it's a really cheap to me. Staff was helpful, interested and customer caring, and my compliment goes to all the team to making felt ourselves at home like a real italian restaurant. Thank you so much Zizzi, and see you soon!

Went with the Mrs and two friends. Service was a bit erratic because we seemed to have a new waiter. No problems there though, everyone has to learn to learn somewhere. Had the gamberone and chorizo pizza. It was nice however I expected slightly more king prawn. Mrs had the pasta Della casa which she said was very nice but heavy. Had Herby fried potatoes which were ok but the oil they were covered in tasted off. The desserts however were amazing. Salted caramel brownie with ice cream, indulgent and over the top was an understatement. Masses of chocolate flakes and ice cream, very nice. All in all the food was very good, but the service was a bit lacking, even from more experienced servers. Asked for a glass of water, ten minutes later I asked a different server because it never showed up. All in all exactly what id expect from a zizzis.

We had one of the best Italian meals we’ve ever had and that’s including Florence, Pisa, Rome !!!! Unfortunately we didn’t Jayant cash to give a tip but our server was great, so attentive and friendly !! I've always like the style of Zizzi as a restaurant, but there's just something about the food that always tastes very bland to me in comparison to other Italian eateries. Both in the past when I ate meat, and now as a vegan, meals have been lacking in the vibrant flavours that I usually love in Italian food

First visit, through Buy a Gift voucher. Was very impressed. Usually use Bella Italia but Zizzi beats it on menu, price and ambience. The Ottimo set menu was unavailable, so we were offered a'la carte, which had a great choice. Staff very helpful, friendly and professional. First Calzone ever, it was delicious and I had to take half home, as starter portions were generous. Well, this is my go to, local Italian, which is close by. I recommend you take a look, enjoy the experience of Italian retro.

We had a table of five for an evening meal to celebrate a 50th Birthday. The staff were attentive and very helpful with the menu as there were seasonal specials to navigate through. Our main server Melissa, was an absolute sweetheart. The food was excellent and portion sizes just right so you didn't feel overstuffed at the end but nicely fed. They even brought my dessert with 3 candles and sung Happy Birthday to me which was a nice touch s it was done from their own initiative, we hadn't mentioned the event (OK, I had a big badge on) but it was still very good of them. Great Italian restaurant! The food here is fantastic. They serve the usual Italian food, pizzas and pasta. They also have a selection of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks including coffees. The restaurant is clean and has a good, modern, atmosphere. They are great with allergens and provide separate gluten free, dairy, vegan menus etc. The service here is quick and friendly. Children's menus are available and colouring provided. I highly recommend this restaurant and will eat here again.

Great location, easy to find when walking around West Quay area. Went out for dinner with old colleagues, we opted for the set-menu, via a voucher offer or what appeared to be a summer menu. Good choices on there, satisfied the x5 of us with our varying tastes. Nice that we could choose to go for a two course option initially then when we felt like dessert, could change to the 3 course with no issue. A decent range of drinks too. Quick efficient service, friendly staff, easy enough to split the bill at the end etc. Places like this make you want to tip the staff rather than feeling you have to!

One of the best meals I've had in a long time - a gorgeous oven roasted pork belly followed by a machiatto. Would highly recommend. I've had to drop a star as they charged us for an extra kids meal which I only noticed the next day.

This zizzi never fails us. The staff couldn't be more attentive (even when the restaurant is absolutely rammed). I have a dairy intolerance but still eat meat, and asked if I could have vegan cheese on my pizza instead of the normal stuff. Absolutely no problem to accommodate this which was a nice change from other places I've been! I'd definitely recommend booking your table especially on a weekend to avoid disappointment, also get yourself the torte for dessert. Best...dessert... EVER!

We booked our table at 17:15 we arrived early and they had a table ready for us which is great. Really nice staff as well. I wouldn’t recommend the spaghetti bolanase you get a bowl of spaghetti and a table spoon of source and meat and it cost over £10 ?!?!?!? They should just call it the spaghetti meal. Deserts are really good best in Exeter. I would give 3 to 3 and a half stars.

The staff are always pleasant; quick service; excellent food. That particular area- Westquay- within the old wall of Southampton - has really livened up Southampton.

Always love eating at Zizzi! Food is amazing, with a variety of meals to choose from,from pizza and calzone, to super Food salads,risotto and lasagne ! Delicious food. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere and opens its front windows up so makes the place look spacious,however when you are nearer the back, it is still a little too warm, don't wear jumpers !!

Were asked what drink we want before we sat down, said water (meant tap water) because we didn’t know what’s on the menu yet (thought we would get some wine or sth later), then was given a bottle of mineral water that cost £4.25. The manager tried to solve the ‘misunderstanding’ but I felt unhappy about it happening at the first place and it makes me not want to eat or have the wine I wanted anymore.

Ive been here twice to celebrate birthday dinners and as much as the both evening were enjoyable due to the atmosphere, the food is not that great to my mind. Calamari starter was not up to scratch and arancini consisted of overboiled rice and no real texture and flavour. Cocktails are nice , especially Ginberry fizz - £6.25 and there are lot of other drink options so the best bet is to go for a nice drink and a classic pizza !
