Best cod I've tasted for some time and at £7 for a large portion, well priced. Chips also very nice and again well priced with medium at £2.80. They taste even better if you take them to Lepe country park and enjoy whilst looking out over the Solent to the Isle of Wight!

This was one of the top few fish and chips amongst those we had before. The fish was lightly battered and it tasted fresh. The chips was well cooked. They were cooked in healthy oil as mentioned on the sign. I preferred the fish over the squid. The shop looks clean and is very well organized.

We found this Fish & Chip shop on Google Maps and were excited by a 4.7 rating. We were not disappointed; excellent quality fish and plenty of chips. There are also some interesting additions to the menu which some of my dining partners had. There are tables outside for the fine weather and ample parking to fit up to 6 lifeboats and 4x4s outside. On this occasion we only had one with us though. Highly rated.

After reading the reviews, I thought I'd give Zoutorias a try, but unfortunately I've got to say that I was a bit disappointed. 2 X large haddock and chips cost £19:60. The haddock was not very big and the portion of chips were also very small. Be be fair, the food tasted good, but I still actually felt hungry after finishing it. Maybe I was just unlucky, but I'll go back to my usual shop from now on.

Absolutely the best chip shop chips ever, the fish looked amazing, almost sorry I didn't order it for myself. Fish cake was delicious. All cooked to order, so lovely & fresh. Colleagues were incredibly friendly & helpful, there were 4 of us & a little one. They catered to all our needs & followed all the guidelines. Such a shame we don't live locally, if we did we would use them every week. Thank you for a lovely lunch. Highly recommend.

We ordered 2 cods. Over large and one medium. The size of each was perfect. But one had the texture of cod (perfectly flaky, etc.). The other had a completely different texture (chewy and not flaky at all). I reckon the latter was whiting and not cod. Apart from this, the service was great and the rest of the food was awesome. But I feel ripped off and my meal was a bit rubbish with chewy fish. EDIT: Thanks for the response. I don't feel ripped off anymore.

Superb fish and chips - this place has to be in the top 10 fish and chip shops in the UK - everything about the shop and the food is 10/10 - I just love it! We are so blessed to have such a quality place in our neighbourhood. Since writing this review we have been back more than 6 times and EVERY time the fish and the chips are the same consistent quality ,absolutely outstanding! This is the best local fish and chip shop by a long way! The fish is always crispy on the outside and perfect inside, the chips are always great too. The portion sizes are also very good. Plus they will cater to gluten free needs too if you call ahead!

Really good chippie, foods always good. Fish was perfectly battered and of a good size, thick white chunks (cod). Veggie burger is the best according to the wife and the chips are very good to. Its packaged well, cooked to order and generous in portion size. If you're near by its worth the trip.

Today I ordered from Zoutorias for the first time. Very fresh and tasty produce, friendly staff and excellent value. Zoutorias is by far the best Fish and Chip shop on the Waterside and I will definitely be returning.

This is our “go-to” fish and chips. Highly recommend, try the cod bites! (Think chicken nugget sized pieces of battered fish) Can be a bit slow as they cook everything fresh, so we call and order ahead

Best fish and chips this part of the County! My husband and I used to go here regularly when we lived close by. The fish was a very decent size and cooked perfectly. The chips were crisp and delicious. The standard was consistently good! Unfortunately we don't live in that area any more and miss it so much! We will have to come back.

Our first time visit to this excellent fish & chip shop, on a weekend away in our caravan close to Exbury gardens. Beautifully cooked fish was delicious with a lovely crispy batter, chips were also amazing, the medium cod was a good size, mistake buying large chips far too many for us to consume. The most excellent fish and chips I have had for years. The chips are golden , dry and crisp with fluffy insides. Not the usual pale greasy stuck together pile of chips! Most friendly staff in any shop I've been in. Food is always top quality. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Perfectly crispy batter and the chips are to die for! I have had fish straight of the boats to the chip shop and had never tasted anything as fresh until now. Fish is so fresh and cooked to order so still hot to eat when home. The fish was fantastic, the chips were also nice I'm guessing double cooked for a crisp outside and fluffy texture. Pea fritter good. Only slight down side was the pie I wanted wasn't availsble. Ten minute wait but was worth the wait.

Went here for fish and chips last night for the first time. Wow - what a wonderful piece of fresh cod. It takes a lot to impress us but we were overwhelmed the batter was so light, the fish cooked perfectly and the flakes just fell apart. The chips were just the way we like them although we don’t usually have a large portion, we had a cone but could easily have eaten more. If you come here try the ice cream Judes, its a delight - not cheap considering the size of the pot, but yummy non the less - I had the Black Coconut, the wife Vanilla, needles to say we shared. Waited around 10 mins for the food but food like this is worth waiting for. It’s not close to home but we will deffo be coming back.
