Went for Breakfast and the food was delicious. Had the buffet breakfast. Buffet wasn't quite full but the polite and helpful front of house member Debbie asked us what we were waiting for. Told us to go sit down and she will bring the food we were waiting for over. 5 minutes after sitting down Debbie brought our food and was very polite and welcoming. Definitely made a good start to my day. True asset to the team

We didn't book a table in advance but thought we would try our luck. We weren't disappointed! Deb greeted us and advised that so long as we were out of the table by 3.30pm we could use them. The Carvery selection of meat and a huge choice of vegetables meant there was some thing for all of our party. Everything we had was cooked to perfection and tasted fab. The hospitality was second to non. We even took home a couple of slices of the amazing cakes! We had a slice of red velvet and Chocolate cake with Mars bars/rolos on it

Family group of 25 had a good time after not seeing each other since before pandemic, we all had carvery which was good following up with excellent desserts, my mum had one of the last chocolate fudge servings to die for, massive dessert portions we will come here again next time, service was excellent. I had 3 meats on my plate with as much vegetables that could fit on the plate. Cheesecake portion was massive it was difficult to to finish after filling up on the main meal. I can recommend the Sunday lunch carvery. We booked table in advance, as we knew it is popular. Friendly meet and greet on arrival and we were taken to a reserved a table. Very well organised. It's popularity means it's busy and there was a small queue for drinks and payment, but that's to be expected and the friendly Staff worked efficiently. Great selection of meat and a huge choice of vegetables. Everything we had was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Great value and service.

Wow what a carvery I ordered the ultimate carvery and it came with 3 Yorkshire puddings and 3 pigs in blankets, a massive choice of tasty vegetables mint or regular gravy. The food is excellent, staff are amazing. The desserts are humongous really only turn up if you're hungry. Great place. I will be back

Good carvery. Lots of choice of veg with options to add on a few extras like pigs in blankets & extra y.pud. The carvery area is kept very clean. Service is usually very quick & staff are lovely too. We've never been in when it's been manically busy which is much better. The good thing is as well as carvery there's a varied menu to choose from too. Great to just pop in on Sunday evening when you haven't had chance to cook or a midweek treat.

We went last night for tea. We were unsure as to what to order, we went to the bar to order drinks whilst waiting I overheard a bartender say that there was a 40 minute wait for food, so we chose a standard carvery and for a while this is where things got a bit pear shaped, the only meat available really was turkey, there were the remains of gammon and same with the beef, the menu stated that there should also have been cheese, onion and potato pie and roasted vegetable pie, which there wasn't any sign of, ( not good for vegetarians and vegans) , didn't ask because the poor lad that was on there carving the meat was also filling up the sides, it was also very busy. There just didn't seem to be enough staff a) for the size of the menu and b) for how busy it was. Having said that the food was delicious, the turkey was divine, so moist and juicy and all the veg was cooked to perfection. Would I go back, most likely because there were items on the menu that I would like to try, was it value for money definitely.

Went to Brindley Farm as a walk in on Mother’s Day and they managed to squeeze two of us in. The host that greeted us was very smiley and personable. The food was good quality pub grub I had the smothered chicken and my partner had the crispy chicken medley. We then back to the bar to order a cake away, Craig the bar manager was very helpful and friendly and talked us through all the cakes. Highly recommend the venue for well priced family meals out.

First time visit after hearing mixed reviews but I have to say I was really impressed. greater upon entry and they managed to squeeze us in as we hadn't booked. was served at the bar by kieron who was down to earth and very professional. I had the mixed grill and my partner had the steak and they were top notch. Will definitely be returning to try the carvery as it looked really fresh with good variety

We visited 7/04/22 booked a table for 10 people including 2 children. Food was excellent. Staff were so overworked and understaffed. We really felt for them. Though at the same time we felt for the customers after us who waited a very long time for their meals not to arrive on time. Staff were wonderful. Thank you guys. Let's hope your employer's get more help that is needed for you all. To work under that pressure is not pleasant at all. You all deserve a medal. Thanks for looking after us.

I cant say I've ever had a bad experience here. It's in a very convenient location, not to close to the town centre but not far away either. The food is always good and the staff is super friendly. They also the take away food so it's the great if you don't fancy eating in somewhere.

We've visited for both breakfast and lunch both times have been well worth the visit. If you're having the buffet breakfast or the carvery lunch it's offered in small,regular and large servings which is a great idea, as today Mum was with us and she doesn't have a big appetite. On our visits the food has always been fresh and the staff lovely. Today it was Craig and Charlotte, so friendly and very helpful- watching Craig serving some elderly customers at the bar, taking time and having a little banter was a pleasant change where there's much rushing about. He apologised for our wait, literally added a minute or so! 😊😊

Visited today for breakfast with a friend. Tried the Eggs Benedict which were tasty and hot. The bacon was crispy and the eggs cooked to perfection. My friend had the all you can eat breakfast which he thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were friendly and came over to check all was ok with our food. Will be trying the waffles next as they looked amazing. Couldn’t resist taking cakes home to have with family and a cuppa later. Even with the new pricing we will definitely be back ❤️

Had a carvery. Sprouts were not cooked, So tough to cut through. Roast potatoes were hard too. The roast beef was delicious! My first visit. Wouldn't rush back. In reply to your reply..the sprouts were not cooked, we were sawing them with our knives. There was nobody around to tell. We waited 10 minutes for someone to serve us at the carvery. We checked other finished plates on our way out, they had all left their sprouts. Roast potatoes too.

Turned up without making a booking after a trip to ninja warrior for the sons birthday, it was very busy they managed to fit us in customer service was brilliant done with a smile also. Called in as I was down the festival park on Friday 14th January 2022, Had a carvery and it was very good. The only draw back was you have to fill your plate as you are not allowed to go and get more vegetables. This did over face a few of us though. Would be better to have a small meal then if you wanted more vegetables you could do so. Asked for a takeaway ice-cream and was very disappointed as there was no lid on it and was just handed the tub with ice cream.

absolutely amazing! we originally planned to go as a 2 but the whole family wanted to come instead which made 10 of us. they changed the booking for us and got us a table on a sunday which is rare as sundays are very busy days there. we had carveries which tasted amazing and the deserts were just wow😍 thank you to Deb, Jess, Phil and Grace for the amazing service guys x

Good food for the price but sprouts very hard and carvery member of staff miserable. Cake counter was sprayed with cleaning fluid whilst large cakes were still on display, it would have been a better idea to have sprayed cloth not shelves if leaving the cakes in, waited 15 minutes just for the serving of a slice of cake. Just got back from a lovely breakfast with a friend. Food and atmosphere was great. Vegetarian breakfasts were yummy, love the sausages. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady on the door called kaz(Karen) she allowed us to choose our table and welcomed us. I then went to order our food and waited a while at the bar with noone in sight, so kaz came over and served me to save me waiting, she then came to the table & let me know my veggie sausages were ready only minutes after ordering them, I made my way down to the yummy help yourself deck and who was there kaz lol We laughed she was everywhere, she made us fresh toast, as toast didn't look very well cooked. Later the same lady cleared our table, very friendly and helpful and along with yummy food it was a most enjoyable morning. Definitely be back

On arrival, the man meeting and greeting struggled to break a smile. We received our food before we had our drinks, tables around us had dirty dishes and glasses on for a good hour, even though front of house was quiet. The young man on the carvery was extremely polite and on the ball, testing food temperatures and apologising to customers whist topping up vegetables. The potatoes however were over peppered and very thick to the point banging the utensil didn't shift them from the utensil to the plate. There was no peas available, mushy or garden! Roast potatoes were far too large but did taste nice . Meals that were not carvery were just warm, which was disappointing really considering they were just made? When drinks were bought out my coffee was forgotten but the girl did apologise after my daughter enquired where it was . Toilets were clean and modern. But the pudding was to die for, literally ! Delicious but had to be rolled out I was that full !

Me and my partner have been here a few times , the food is really nice to be fair , the cakes are a good size but I do laugh when I do come to visit here because there have been recent things what are just really clumsy caused by the waitresses . She asked me if I wanted any sauces , so I politely asked if I could have BBQ then 2 mins later she gives me a completely EMPTY bottle ... hmm... then i didn't even get a steak knife with my steak I ordered . Little things like this please needs sorting out. why should customer's have to take additional time by correcting something what is just the basics .. we all want to eat in peace with our friends to socialise from hard day at work . We shouldn't have to come back for stupid things like this . But been a fair guest of feedback the food is really nice. Sometimes it been cold couple times on prior occasions, but this is hardly the case

Food was great, but seems they had issue with hot drinks could only order tea if wanted hot drink. Drinks & starters came quick, but waited good 30mins for main meal if not longer, it was very good & I enjoyed it, but it wa so not till we were leaving we were told , there had been some mix up over our order, if we say th them next time we come in we would be given a discount. Ok thank you I appreciate that but I wish we had been told while we were waiting there had been some sort of mix up. We would have understood instead of just sitting there wondering if we had been forgotten. Also can you make your app bit clearer to understand, I wanted the roasted veg our off the golden years menu but on the app it looked as if we could only get it off carvery, but as I have mobility problems I had to order it off main menu which was too much for me & I had to leave half of a very nice pie. The meal and drinks were really nice, though the peppercorn sauce was missing and my salad was just green leaves, no onions, tomatoes or cucumber. They were really busy so we didn't make a fuss but I mentioned it to the waitress who was really apologetic and passed it on to one of the managers who came and advised us to mention it when closing our tap. We has a really nice surprise at the till, we were just expecting to have the sauce knocked off the bill but Charlotte gave us a treat. My son will be really happy when I pass the bill to him. Arrived here on 10/09/2019. Came with my young daughter for tea. I was very impressed by the amount of variety on the carvery. I am actually a vegetarian though and I had vegetable tart which I didn't like at all as it had butternut squash and beetroot in it but it didn't really affect me as there were so many different vegetables on offer I had a lovely plateful anyway. It was all hot and nicely presented. My daughter had one of the childs meals which was delivered very quickly and also for dessert which was included was a tub of ice cream. At £2.99 for the childs meal I thought it was very good value. Shall definitely return.

Orderd click and collect carvery with Yorkshires and pigs in blankets (extra charge), no complaints about the food but the woman serving us was clearly annoyed as she wanted to plate up our meal for us but we wanted to choose our own vegetables, sauces and gravy as is normal with a carvery.. she said they were too busy for us to do that but after paying over £20 for 2 meals to eat at home we didn't want someone else's choice otherwise we would have had it delivered. She practically threw the trays at us. There was an obvious argument going on between her and another member of staff too. We enjoy the carvery here but were made to feel that we were an inconvenience by wanting the same service as the diners eating in. On previous occasions we got to choose for ourselves so don't know why this week was different .

We were greeted by Kaz at the entrance of the pub and Kaz took us to our table she was extremely helpful explained how to oder food and drinks gave us information on the menu and provided excellent customer service with a smile. The meat and all carvery servings were really nice, my partner chose the cheese and onion pie which was delicious, the pub was spotless tables clean. Bar staff and waitresses were also very welcoming and friendly. Very quickly served at the bar also. We will definitely be returning very soon. The pub has a childrens activity area too and also quiet space to sit if preferred. Perfect pub!

Two area's, family, with good play area, Seating can and is a little crushed and have been pushed into a corner and if you need to get out people have to get up and move not at all well thought out, at the beginning of Feb 2022 we were shown to a table which was between a walkway which made it very uncomfortable so much so we up and left to another venue which is the reason only four stars but for that could have been five. Clean toilets. Very good choice of food off the menue, carvery a little mean with the meat. Good choice of wine's and beers. Extra big helpings of cakes and puddings. Only down side maybe the waiting time at the bar. Meals served quickly. Plenty parking spaces. Excellent cheerful atmosphere. Seem to have got it right.

The food is ok, standard carvery fare. Cakes and icecream looked awesome but we didnt try them. Table service is available but it's as easy to use the app. Covid-19 measures are excellent with spaced out tables, no standing at the bar etc. sanitising is done after each space has been vacated and a one-way system is in operation unless you need the toilets then you simply follow the arrows on the carpet. We went on a quiet evening so everything ordered was bought to the table in good time and, for a change for us, the plates were slightly warmed and the food stayed warm for longer. My only criticism would be that the food was not quite hot enough, especially as I had a mixed grill and it went cold before the end

Visited today after managing to book a table for the eat out to help out scheme after being turned away last week. Place wasn't too busy and tables well spaced out for social distancing etc. Used the greene King app to order no problems although the kids ice creams were the first thing to be bought out?! Waiter said when using the app to order everything comes out together even though we explained we had only just ordered and had not even received our drinks or main meals yet?! Main meals came quite quickly, kids meals ok but 2 adult mains were sent back as the chicken skewers were alk stone cold and not cooked and chips were inedible (brown, burnt and overcooked). 2 new mains bought out quickly and were much better. Desserts all ok although my husband was charged extra for the kids ice-cream although we had already paid via the app. Nice to finally eat out after so long but felt a bit rushed and second rate due to the amount of bookings they had etc.

Went today to celebrate my daughters exam results and was not impressed by some of the meals we received. The service of the staff was amazing and they did promptly ask what was wrong. It was the food plated from the kitchen and even though really hot my meal was overcooked which made the chicken a little dry and the chips the same refried and overcooked. My daughter had chicken pie with mash and commented that the mash was powdery and you could taste was instant but for some reason she said the meal was terribly salty, like they had put salt on her plate and put meal on top. To her credit the server checking our table did ask if we wanted to swap the meals and we said no. The venue itself was clean and arrows in place and signs in place to show ways to go but some people aren’t interested in following rules especially when playground says closed and parents letting there kids in still. This visit will not deter us from visiting Brindley Farm as you can tell that the team are doing there best in tough conditions for them. I think that you need to know and applaud your service the two Carvery meals we had were super but the chicken pie and dirty chicken burger from the kitchen were not as good.

First visit here for a while and the carvery was delicious (better than Toby China Garden nearby we thought). The meats were all tender and tasty and the veg, although a little overcooked in parts was also very nice and with lots of choice and all hot. Gets a bit chaotic with plenty of local office workers visiting on lunch break so get there before noon for quicker service. The queues at the bar are lengthy but the staff get through them quickly enough. All in all a good experience and we will return

Great place for some casual food, especially a carvery! I've been here quite a lot and I've never had to wait long for a table, even at its busiest times. The staff are always friendly and helpful and will cater for your needs. Perfect for families, couples, friends and colleagues. Also you must try their cake as it's the most amazing thing you've ever seen and tried!

For breakfast I would rate this place 5/5, however only 2/5 for the carvery. The breakfast is excellent, great selection, cooked well. The carvery however I had little choice of meat (2 of the 3 available meats were tiny blocks that appeared very dry as if they were sat for a long time) and the veg again was very stale due to being left for so long, gravy with a thick skin. Very unappealing and left most of it. The staff are friendly, but ridiculously slow. Will come again for breakfast, but that's all.

Under the circumstances I really enjoyed the Carvery and the staff were polite and friendly. There was a very long line for Carvery so the staff were just going as fast as they could. Also they had just put a new cooked turkey out but it wasn't quite cooked as you could see blood on a bit of it. Sorry for saying... and even one of the servers commented. The pub was very busy... don't think have ever seen it like this

Called today for a quick snack .We ordered southern fried chicken on ciabatta with salad ,coleslaw & mayo with chips .It was lovely well priced £5.49,as was the wine .If I was to have a dig it would be Chilean wine,( not on the menu ) although the Australian was a ok .Katie was lovely, I’ve not been for over 2 years it’s under new management and you can tell Andy and Charlotte are at the helm ..Katie helped me with the App as did Chelcie .Lovely atmosphere quiet but nice .look forward to another visit ..Thank you ..👍

Nice big venue that was fairly quiet when we arrived. Sat next to the kids play area which isn't closed off and was fairly noisy. Strange to see people queuing for the bar and to order food instead of grouping at the bar as you would expect. Carvery was your standard fair and was very tasty. The cakes probably make the place though, huge slices and good selection and you can choose to take away if you wish.

Disappointing. I have often eaten here with family and the food can be a bit hit and miss. We have had some great meals and some disappointing ones. Our last meal was in the latter. It was dry and solid as if kept under a heat lamp for an hour at least. While tasty, the firm consistency was just to much. My partner wisely choose the carvery and while it was Just ok" she did have to queue for about 15 minutes as it was very very busy. The service here is however, always excellent. Oh and the beer is very good as well.

10/10 Really enjoyable visit. EVERY SINGLE team member we came into contact with was knowledgable, well presented and happy. This place actually well exceeded my expectations. I always assume big brands will be disappointing, unpersonable and bad food. How wrong I was! I was overwhelmed with the entrance on arrival, what a WOW dessert counter and carvery and servary. Thank you so much for looking after us and for wearing masks and visors and constantly cleaning places down! I think the kids area was cleaned down 3 times in the 1 hr we were there. Stumbled across this restaurant whilst looking for somewhere else. We had the carvery. I'm vegetarian so I had the mushroom pie and got to choose from all of the delicious vegetables. The restaurant was busy but the Carvery wasn't. Even though it wasn't busy the food was still so fresh and hot. My partner had the turkey and he got loads !! And said it was cooked really nice. Will definitely be going again.

Breakfast buffet is cheap enough, but the food drys out under the heat lamps so not always the best quality. However the staff really do try to make your visit a good one. The carvery is very good, and the cakes are huge, can get a box to take it home. Decent parking.

We came here with a big group, 20+ people. It was busy and I don't quite think there was enough staff on the bar to be serving (only 2). But even though it did take a little longer than expected to be served when food arrived it was huge servings and everyone was extremely pleased with the quality. The staff were very apologetic for the serving time and could clearly see that they were under stress about the situation. I'm sure if more staff were on the waiting time would've been significantly shorter. Even with the long service time, Brindley farm has some amazing dishes and great value.

So I have never tried anything off the menu, instead having the carvery option so cannot review that side of the place. In terms of the carvery I like that you have different size options... I always go for the largest because I can never decide between the choice of meats!! The vegetables are exactly like every other carvery I have ever had, over cooked to my taste and mainly soggy. But edible. But to be perfectly honest I don't think many go to Brindley Farm for the mains...you definitely go for the desserts. And man...what desserts they have!!! I'm pretty sure they have other desserts available but if you go you HAVE to have a cake-away. These are monster slices of delicious cakes from chocolate fudge, Mara Attacks cake, cheesecakes of various flavours and carrot cake to name a few. The slices are massive...if you weren't as greedy as me, more than enough for 2 people...but that's why they are cake-away...if you can't manage it in 1 sitting then you can take it home for later....or if you can't decide between them buy one to have the next day as w often do!!! So really for main meals it is an average place....for desserts it is out of this world!! They also don't rush you so you can sit, drink and enjoy yourself.

50/50 with this place. Staff are usually good with service and speed. Drinks are okay. Food... Standard carvery. But it attracts the 'clientele' you'd expect of a carvery and this can sometimes really put us off a visit- very rudely spoken to by some customers before and there seems to be no intervention on this by staff. Maybe go for a quick pint after work if you're working on forge lane. Definitely wouldnt go out of my way to visit though.

Been here a few times now and we really like it. It can get really busy at peak times so we tend to go for breakfast. The portions are really generous and it's surprisingly cheap! The food is really good too! It has always been really clean and the staff are lovely. There's a lovely little play area for young kids and there's even access to games consoles for older kids. The cakeaway is amazing too!!! But the portions are more than enough for two people, so don't get eyes bigger than your belly like us on our first visit!!!

Typical carvery style Layout, buy your meal, take ticket to carvery request meat and add as much veg as you like. 3 different size plates small to large which cost less during the week than weekends. Also have a menu you can order from. Food was great. Deserts are huge but you can order to take away and they did oblige with doggy bags. Really enjoyed by myself and friends

Been a couple of times now. Served pretty quickly, friendly staff, nice and clean. Portions are a big size and menu is a good variety (I'm a very fussy eater) Most recent visit staff even warned me about the air con coming on and offered to move us to another table as it's pretty direct on where we were sat. I thought this was great of them as they were clearly busy but still went out of the way to ensure I'd be comfortable. My favourite thing is that we can sit in the adults section and chat when I'm with my partner but I can also sit with the other families when we have the kids 😁
