Lovely food, very fast service and great atmosphere. Yes chiquitos is a chain restaurant, but it's always very good quality, the portion sizes are good, and the beer is always nice and cold.

5* great for a meal before/after cinema shopping or date night. Great setting lovely decor nice bit of background music. Great service staff friendly and welcoming. Swift service drinks and food arriving quickly which was fantastic to get to the cinema in time. Kids Small meal for a fab price Of £5.90 for a main side dessert and drink which were quality my little boy is a fussy eater and he loved it. Our meals were Lovely .Thankyou to the chef and to Bridie the waitress For the swift and friendly service getting us to the cinema in time :).

Chiquitos is nice, every once in a while. Bit overpriced. If you're a student you can get 25% off the bill and that's good. I also love the mocktails! Raspberry and Apple, which I have uploaded a photo of is really tasty.

Visited on Saturday for the first time in over a year. Menu seemed larger than I remember,There is something on there for everyone. There was 5 of us and I booked a table. We weren't rushed even though it was a busy Saturday. We had 3 courses,the tortilla sharer starter which was plenty enough for the 5 of us to share. I had the Barbabcoa beef Mexican stew as my main which was absolutely delicious and pretty big,I had a side of rice with it and was full by the time I finished, But not full enough to not fit in a delicious pub of golden nugget cheesecake. This place is definitely value for money and worth a visit.

It was the first time I'd tried eating at a Chiquito restaurant, and I was impressed. While yes it can be a little pricey, it is well worth the money, as it has a good variety of Mexican cuisine. I had the tacos which were around £12, but all 3 tacos were filled to the brim. The service was great, and all the staff were very nice. I'd recommend giving it a try at the very least to see what you think for yourselves (And if you do, try the crispy halloumi sticks).

Enjoyable meal due after initial concerns over spiciness of the meal options. I was reassured that everything was cooked fresh to order with the option of "heat" 😅. We had a shared starter, followed by baked sea bass and the OH had jumbalaya. Lively and cheerful location. Good service from Suzie, our server. Restrooms are clean but upstairs. Paid parking nearby. Wheelchair access may be tricky in downstairs restaurant for access to the restroom.

Had such a great time here last night. We walked in later than expected but were still seated and tended to so amazingly by staff. Only my second time eating here. The place was good but unfortunately someone had been sick in the ladies toilet at some point, my friend wasn't impressed walking into a toilet with that there. There was a mix up with the orders and the kitchen didn't get the orders through until we'd been sat for ages. We had our starters and waited and waited for our mains, I asked where they were and he said he was just coming out to explain what had happened. We weren't the only one to have to wait ages for our mains. I had a couple of diet cokes which were £3.39 for a pint, I was surprised how much it was when the bill came. The cost of the starter was taken off the bill to say sorry for the delay in the mains. The food its self was good.

Having called at Nandos for a sit in meal and been told we had to wait because of their takeaway service, we decided to try Chiquito's. Just to add an update to my review. We had a take-away on Saturday night and despite my concerns that the food wouldnt stay hot enough by the time I got home I was worried about nothing. The food was perfectly packed and absolutely decilcious. If anyone is missing their "fix" of Mexican food I highly recommend you have a take away Nice to have my favourite Mexican restaurant open again Lovely warm welcome and seated instantly, the waitress was helpful friendly and efficient As always the food was superb with the delivery times very well. I shared the nachos which were delicious and then I had the pulled pork enchiladas which were amazing. The whole party really enjoyed and can’t wait to return Thanks everyone

One of my favourite restaurants. Visited last week for the 100th time and had small issue with my meal (first time ever having an issue). The manager was super nice and went above and beyond to compensate for the issue. Although they did charge us for the free nachos we had a voucher for, I was more than happy to pay considering the adjustments made. Will always recommend.

Went for a meal here tonight and can't get over how friendly and helpful the staff were. We were greeted by one member of staff at the door who clearly showed a genuine care for the restaurant and it's customers and were served by another member of staff who went beyond to provide a great service. I visited the restaurant for lunch by myself on a Tuesday and was recommended the tacos by my waitress, Suzi. I had one of each flavour, as I couldn't decide. The food was incredible. I'm an omnivore but the veggie options I sampled were delicious. Couldn't fault the restaurant or service at all. 10/10 would eat here again, and didn't feel pressured to order quickly and I was asked how my food was around halfway through rather than when I had barely started to apply the salsa.

The food is so good, there was no fault at all, the drinks can take a while to get to you but they are worth the wait (the cocktails are amazing). Had a really great experience. I think Chiquitos in general have a reputation for terrible service but this branch is the complete opposite. The staff are friendly, helpful and provide a great service. The food was also very good and there was minimal delay from ordering to the food being brought out. Highly recommended.

The place had a great atmosphere and I can certainly see myself coming here often!! We all love it here, the whole family! Especially when we can all go together. Best to book if theres a few of you. Taco Tuesday is just inspired! From the youngest member of our group right up to the eldest! And the staff cannot go enough for you! I'm a vegetarian and I have a very picky child but we always manage to leave satisfied. Came on a Tuesday for tacos and ordered two lots because we loved them so much, the food is always amazing, fajitas and churros were just as good, plus perfect table service thanks to Ryou, we'd come to the stoke one again 💛✨

The food here is amazing if you get what you ordered. I orederd a chimichanga but a burrito came to the table, (even the girl said it was a burrito) we didn't accept the food as it was not what i orderd for the girl to come back with the same plate and said its right, its a chimichanga. OK I appreciate there is not much difference except its deep fat fryed. I wouldn't normally complain but I was looking forward to my meal. I had to wait for the same girl to bring over our sides just so I could get my original order. It was taken away and a fresh chimichanga was brought over after. No check back was then given after we finally had all of our food. We were going to look at the puddings as we had a young child with us who wanted icecream but we waited 20 minutes with dirty plates stacked on our table for nothing... I tried to get attention from the three people behind the bar but nothing, I got up to put my coat on as a hint, we wanted the bill. Still nobody came over. Another 10 minutes of waiting and a inpatient young boy by now, still nobody came to us. It was not busy, the people at the bar could see us standing with our coats on ready to go. I had to go and ask the poor girl who was clearly on here own on the floor for our bill. She did get it for us and I could tell I was interrupting her. I love coming to here and i have never had a problem before but this was just one thing after another. The food we did have was really nice,that's why I give the review three stars but the customer service was rubbish. I won't be coming on a Sunday afternoon again.

Chiquito at The Hive has not long opened. We had intended to visit another restaurant on the complex for dinner, but due to a long wait for a table we ended up here. The place is fresh and well decorated, though the music is a similar style to that found playing at Nandos. Chiquitos has a decent sized bar area where we were asked to wait at until our table was ready. The bar area was clean and the staff were attentive. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table, and an hour for food. Within 5 minutes we had been seated. The range of food on the menu was extensive, with options for all tastes and likes. I have several dietary requirements and found several menu items to be suitable. The food wasn't anywhere near as long as an hour, and when it came, it was really tasty and had exceeded our expectations. Portion sizes are huge! The service was good and prompt, however it is obvious that the place is new as the staff seem to be following a script rather than offering an engaging service. My only complaint would be with how they dealt with my dietary requirements. They have a dedicated gluten-free menu but for any other requirements you have to visit the website. I did try to access it on my phone but the menu was hard to use. They did offer the use of their computer on the hosts desk but I felt in the way and rushed when trying to take a look. Chiquitos could do with an tablet or a print out for guests to use. All in all good service but room for improvement. As the place is really new I'm sure time will allow them to get into the swing of things.
