Really nice food. Lovely family friendly atmosphere. Our server Terri was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. She explained everything perfectly. She took the time to chat and spoke to my daughter directly instead of just asking us what she wanted. She Made us feel very welcome.

I had a three course meal. Starters, i had nachos and it was lovely. Main, i had a chicken burger but it was nice but i dont like thay type of chicken. Desert was fine but melted when got to the table. Salad bar was good. Staff was alright but they was impatient. I was still eating and asked if i would like the bill. Wouldnt suggest it. Rate 5 out of 10.

What a lovely place!!! Andrea, the lady that served us was just amazing. Frankly the best customer service ever experienced. Talking about the food quality... Good quality/price balance. 3 stars for food and cleanliness. 5 star for waiting staff. Returned to the Harvester for the first time since the pandemic. We were rather disappointed by the food (the crispy chicken coating was far too hard to be enjoyable and the rotisserie chicken skin was soggy) but the flavour was nice. Our table had some sticky sauce on it and one of the knives in the pot was dirty. We were served by a lovely waitress called Harriet who was charming, really seemed to care about our visit and looked after us very well. We were rather surprised that paying by card didn't offer a tip facility and thus we left a terribly low tip (from rooting round for any change we had in our pockets) that didn't reflect how pleased we were with her. Sorry Harriet!

A good harvester generally. Toilets were awful great, sticky floors, urine everywhere in the gents and it smelled bad.. then there was the decor..it was so bad I took pictures... (see pics) great food.. tho..I can't fault that. Its a shame really ...some staff seemed like they didn't want to be there.

Always treat us well, as come one weekend a month. Staff are lovely and really tolerating of my hyperactive toddler. Food is always good, as both my kids love the pancakes and I'm always grateful for the coffee. Never win that monkey in the grabber, though! Haha.

Breakfast menu was very nice but there was a lot of things missing from the unlimited option. The poached eggs were served with hard yolks and the black pudding I asked for was missing. There was only natural yogurt and no fruit to go with it. Only cornflakes on the cereal bar. The coffee was very bitter. The service was good considering they were a staff member down. I would try them once more to see if it was just a bad day.

Had a meal here and the staff were very friendly and attentive, I had the BBQ chicken stack which was well cooked and delicious. Had plenty from the salad and bread bar which was surprisingly fresh - and a very timely reminder from a guy working there that the salad bar closed at 10pm so to get as much as I need before then, thank you! I couldn't finish my food so they very kindly got me a take away box to take it home with me 😁

UPDATE from january 22 jan 2022 Review below u have now update from above visits We had a very good time this time Staff member was great @Terri G Thanks for the not to much are you ok just right, anything we needed she couldnt help enough and very friendly with the kids Thanks again Always worth a revisit with great staff like Terri G -- Old review We have been here regular but i think we will change venue All was going well got seated waitress didnt mind us moving table and cleaned it with no issues I asked for a meal and change the chicken to anothe the lady said should be fine ill ask I came back to the table to find the lady and i think it may be a power trip supervisor im sure his name is lee telling here off in the middle of all the tables which must of been at least 8 full tables around the lady He said you cant be swapping certain chicken for other chicken as we lose money veg for veg fine and kept repeating him self- to much power sinks ships team I also dont care about what money each chicken costs against others isnt that a P & L chat for higher managers I swapped my meal which was fine they only need to advise of situation no need belittle staff The meal came my bun was burnt. My partners chicken had no cajun on as this is part of meal Overview i think there may be a new kitchen manager and supervisor who need take there baby pants of grow up learn to respect there staff and keep customer focus at the front of there mind( no customers or staff no business ) Treat people how you want be treated there is quieter places in a pub to give feedback to your staff I expressed my concerns and feedback to the lady at the end but if she has confidence enough to advise higher managers i dont know Hope this help other customers also managers to address the issues also gives feedback to the chain

Me and my Husband visited here today for a meal which was beautiful, really nice venue which is clean and tidy. Staff are second to none. We were greeted by a loverly polite lady called Terri and she couldn’t of been more helpful, she greeted, seated and served us, nothing was too much trouble and a credit to the company. Amazing guest experience at Trentham lakes tonight came for dinner, party of 10… from the minute we walked in with a very warm welcome, by the manager Ryan. Our waitress Sarah was very welcoming too, very attentive polite and had a sense of humour…all meals were cooked to perfection so thank you to the chef who I believe was Adam, and all the other kitchen staff in preparing our meals, all family members complimented how tasty and hot the food was, delivered by several members of staff who were all very polite. Salad bar was nicely presented and clean…and lovely soft bread rolls!! 😁 will definitely visit again…thank you for a lovely evening

Booked a table when got there wasn't overly busy there was a few in the bar waiting to go on the stoke away coaches. Took a while to take our order after originally trying to place an order but what we requested wasnt available. After finally placing our order and using the salad bar the baps we did have were cold/frozen inside. The waitress couldn't apologise enough but no replacement offered. What we had was really nice and would have it again. Haven't been here for a while but when we do always seem to be struggling for staff/short staffed.

Decided to have Lunch and see how Harvester is doing considering, we haven’t been back since 4 Years ago. We had the Lunch time menu and I had the Nachos and my wife had the Mushrooms. And a salads from the buffet bar. We also had the chicken burger and the beef burger classic. Salad was limited in choice but that’s understandable with the current supply issues, if they had some. Nachos - presented in a bowl and was in my view overly coated with cheese sauce. Chicken Burger - Presented on a plate with chips. The burger was cooked nicely, however the base of the bun was extremely soggy and ruined the burger. The Classic Beef burger - presented on a plate with chips. The burger was juicy and enjoyable. The waitress was Gemma and although, she pleasant and welcoming, I felt she needed to go that extra mile to please her customers , thus making them, feel appreciated. Covid - Was slightly unset with the menus, where you can see, that quite a few customers, have used them before ( Ripped / Beer stains) . Also I would like to mention, that the chairs had food bits and looked like they needed a dam good cleaning.

I absolutely loved my evening meal at the Harvester. There was great social distancing measures and near to no contact with anyone. What can I say it was a great meal I went up to Stoke for the football bth v Stoke game and just walked in about 3pm as arrived early to check in at the hotel. The staff were friendly and polite and the food was plentiful, I only had the the gammon as wasn't that hunger to be honest but it came with peas, chips and onion rings, and fried tomatoes, it was well cooked and for £13 for the meal and a drink the price wasn't bad either, so if your going to Stoke well worth popping in for a meal

This is a Harvester and will never win any awards realistically. That said the service was really good and very friendly. The food was tasty but even on the second time it came out it was neigh on stone cold. Shame as the stuff was tasty. The fans were unable to cope with the cooking and as such it was like eating in a coal mine. Positive is it was quite clean

Genuinely the best harvester i have visited, the staff were very helpful and attentive. The service was quick and the food was delicious. We have visited harvester on a few occasions. Each time our servers have been friendly and very professional. Elise was our waitress lastnight and could not do enough to ensure we were happy and viewed how she interacted with other guests with a smile and professionalism. The same could be said for our previous experience with Chelsea, Gemma & Beth. Food was cooked to perfection thank you Russ lastnight and the beef dripping gravy was to die for. I've given 4 stars because we've been about 3-4 times now and only once has the food been a little bit of a let down with overcooked burgers. We went recently and the lady serving our table, you could tell that she was poorly. Blocked nose, sniffling and snotty and a change in voice and it was quite off putting to be honest, I really won't be happy if I end up poorly.

Went for a family birthday meal and was disappointed. I had breaded mushrooms to start but if I put my fork in they shot of the plate. I then had fish and chips, again disappointed. The batter on the fish ranged from really hard to extremely greasy. I just pulled the fish out and left it. Service was slow, arrived 5.30 but didn't leave till 8 pm (straight after eating). I thought that it was expensive for nothing special. Don't think I will hurry back

Disappointing new menu. Personally I liked the build your own meal; select sauce, side etc but they no longer do this. Menu is much shorter and a lot less options. Refillable salad and drinks are still good but preferred the old menu. A good size restaurant with parking. There's now a parking meter so apparently no longer free at all times.

Went in with my son for our tea as a last minute decision and we were so glad we did. All the staff were brilliant very welcoming & plight, including Chelsea who was very helpful with the food choices off the menu. The Harvester it's self is very clean and fresh throughout and really inviting in a whole very well presented a credit to all the staff. Food well what can I say it's the first time my meal has arrived on my table cooked to perfection a massive credit to the chief and all kitchen staff too. My food was fine along with 5 others. Enjoyed the salad bar as well. But 1 dish was horrible, the salmon was really greasy, they said it was grilled but I'm not so sure. Food fantastic as everything seemed fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff friendly and this place was on its way to a five star... However I then went to then male toilets, and not only does the radiator looks like a petri dish, but one of then cubical had water all over the floor that smelt really bad...I'd guess either a leak or an overflow from the pan.

Don't often eat at harvesters but the food here was pretty good, I had a chicken '83 combo - half a chicken and half a rack of ribs. The chicken was well tasty, as we're the ribs, wouldn't grumble at either but it wasn't cheap, the salad bar was well stocked and I had some really nice rice from it. Staff were helpful and friendly but we're a bit slow to respond, seemed to wait a long time for the bill.

Service was good, I found the food was expensive for what it was. Portions were quite small, we waited a while to be sat down and food and drinks took a while to arrive. We weren't offered sauces when given food and cutlery was dirty. There was a lot that was out of stock, cocktails were very limited. It was busy to be fair so maybe that's why, but this is the second poor experience that I've had here so I probably won't return any time soon.

First visit in over a year, wasn’t our first choice really. Was not very busy we arrived to be greeted and taken to our seats and given a brief introduction to covid instructions. Our server came and asked if we wanted drinks and unfortunately at the time postmix drinks were not working so we opted for water. 5-10 mins after receiving water we were told drinks were back on which was great. Food wise we ordered BBQ chicken stack times two and a 1983 combo With a side portion of garlic dough balls. In fairness unlike previous visits the quality of the food was excellent and all food was hot and well presented. I would not recommend ordering dough balls however as not worth £4.99 only 3 dough balls in a portion so not value for money. We had a 25% voucher but still over £40 for 3 meals and we have had better experiences elsewhere. Every thing is difficult for everyone in the current situation so the main thing was food cooked well and hot Nothing was wrong so that in itself was an improvement from previous visits. We left a tip as server even though not busy was having to serve salad bar and do everything that would normally not do. Well done all, can’t be easy and wish you all well but when all is back to normal can harvester compete with other brands on quality and value for money, probably not but I hope that Harvester will give it a try.

Harvester has always done great food at a great price, and this was no exception. However doing this as a collection during the pandemic, obviously means there was no free salad bar to go with it and a very limited menu. That in itself is not Harvesters fault of course. The food was delicious however the chip portions were laughable. Maybe it's the same amount as I would have had 'nirmally' but the lack of salad makes it very evident.

We love this harvester and go everytime we stay in Stoke as its right next to the hotel we stay in. Just a warning though its best to pre-book a table as they get extremely busy even during the weekdays. We went on a Monday night and hadn't booked thinking it wouldn't be busy but it was packed out and we couldn't get a table but the did do a takeaway for us which we were able to take to the hotels dining area and were able to sit and eat it there. Overall very impressed the burgers were the best I had ever tasted and I'm not normally a burger person but it was so delicious that I had burger again on the 2nd evening. If you're near Trentham Lakes definitely a place worthy of a drop In. Lovely food at reasonable prices

This post lockdown period is hard for everyone, having to stay 2m apart, face masks in shops and the fear of accidentally coughing infront of old people...but this hasn't put a hold on the staff at the harvester! My experience here was fantastic, the food was amazing, the staff were more than helpful and did i mention the food was amazing?? Everyone was sat at a safe distance from each other enough that covid is less likely to be transferred but close enough to hear what they're talking about. The salad bar is served to u by a member of staff who can silently judge you for how much you eat before your actual meal. All in all a bloody cracking experience. Thank you

First time returning since the new renovation, and we were not disappointed. New stations, such as a sauce fridge, were available along side a drinks machine (so refillable drinks are now available). The food was really good, especially with our 2 for £10 burgers with the UNiDAYS discount code. Waiting time was average which was acceptable as it was fairly lively, and we were able to help ourselves to the fresh salad bar. All staff were lovely and our service was excellent - checked upon multiple times by multiple staff members and even encouraged to download the free app for future discounts/offers. A lovely experience and we will definitely be returning soon.

We called in this evening on the drive back from a long day trip to Alton Towers. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived but we were quickly seated. We ordered a variety of burgers and a child's meal deal, and we all made use of the salad bar and the unlimited soft drinks. The waiter was extremely attentive and very friendly and pleasant, my little daughter noticed his name was Kyle. Too often serving staff are too busy or just don't notice that the bill is needed, or that the plates needed clearing but he was wonderful. A great asset to the place actually. All three burgers were delicious, and all the food was polished off. The salad bar was fresh and tasty too. We live in a neighbouring town but would definitely return if we were passing. Recommended, thank you!

It was okay.. Terrible Table Service So we went for a meal a week before Father’s Day, and we ordered a mixed grill, rotisserie chicken and two kids rotisserie chickens. The food was lovely, and good portions for both adults and kids. All was good, lovely salad bar, lovely main meals. Then came the puddings. We ordered two kids puddings, and it took over 40 minutes for some ice cream to be bought out. Then, when the desserts FINALLY came, one was missing a Flake and the other missing Marshmallows. So yes, the actual food was lovely, but downhill table service. Thank you for our meal, harvester.

Mediocre overall. The food was good as always with Harvester restaurants although portions seem to be getting smaller. Love the salad Cart and the chef was friendly I asked for more Red devil sauce and he quickly got the female chef to being some out. Food was served in a reasonable timeframe. However the toilets were freezing . Also, the server initially didn't want to accept our student voucher (2 burger meals £10) he reckoned 'as soon as the festive menu starts all vouchers and promotions are stopped'- what absolute nonsense. I checked the terms and yes it isn't allowed with any set menu or other promotion, but we didn't order off the Christmas menu we ordered off the main menu so what has Christmas got to do with it? Plus you run that menu from mid November to end of December so how mad for all vouchers to be banned for a whole 6 weeks a year. When I questioned this he said he would give it a go. So he went off with the code and sure enough it went through fine. He did say sorry and claimed 'it worked but it shouldn't have done' any way all seemed like a fuss over nothing. Then whilst I was still sat at the table (booth seat) he came in the other side and started rearranging the table which was rude. I think he was a team leader or something as he was wearing a shirt and everyone else was wearing t-shirts. Any how he seemed in a rush to close when it was only about 9pm and they close 10.30pm on a Sunday. Surely if staff have somewhere they would rather be then they are in the wrong job? Don't get me wrong it was still a nice enough meal but could have been more enjoyable if it wasn't for the Tom foolery .

Got a 40% voucher off, so it was worth going. If I'd paid full price I would not have been happy! I had a mixed grill and it wasn't the greatest. A small piece of tough, rump steak and I mean small, gammon was fine, chicken was a small portion consisting of a wing and a small bit of the breast (was tasty though) 1 sausage and a small piece of black pudding. My wife had the Gannon which she said was tasty. The strange thing was the waiter (who was great) ask if we'd like large or small chips with our meal? I had large the wife had small. I was charged an extra £1 for the large which was not much more than than the wife had on her plate. It was like being in a fish and chip shop! I thought eating in a restaurant you had a set amount of chip with each meal? (STRANGE!) Price of a pint of Stella Artois was £4.05 which is definitely the higher end of a pint in Stoke. Would I return? Yes with a 40% voucher but definitely no if I was paying full price.

Food was nice although I would have been a little peeved had I not had a voucher code to use as for what you get, the prices are a little steep (same for all Harvesters I suppose). As far as this Harvester goes maybe a little training on what drinks are available, as when the waitress who seated us, and took our drinks order was asked what ales were served all we got told was "hobgoblin" only to find out after the meal when purchasing another drink directly from the bar they also had "deep 61" on tap. Also be weary if you're booking on a match day evening as you can only have the table for an hour. We only had a main, and just squeezed that in before being asked to vacate. A plus though, our main waitress Sarah was really professional and bubbly.

Arrived for a family birthday meal yesterday afternoon, to be "greeted" by Michelle. Who was utterly rude to the family group as we seemed to have caused her a huge inconvenience as we hadnt booked a table. We were pointed to our table and just left. Her hospitality skills are shocking. However the young gent and 2 women who served us were most pleasant and redeemed the visit for us. The food was good and the pub was nice and clean. But shall think twice about the attitude some staff have there, as if it hadnt been a family birthday something would have been said at the time.

Tonight we had a last BIG group meal (approx 20 people) they did everything humanly possible to deliver outstanding service. Abi who we found out had only been there 3 days!!! handled our food and served us with a level of experience beyond her time within the restaurant (you could have thought she had been there years)👏👏. Ryan who took our order was efficient and professional getting our orders through as quickly as possible all with a smile and a laugh.👍👍 Chelsea the barmaid was a ray of sunshine🌞 extremely helpful in getting our drinks together along with our prosecco toast(ordering in advance) if you ever have to order drinks for a large group she is most definitely the lady to see. She even helped with the food to tables which helped speed up thr delivery which many in the group noticed (well done and thank you). Everyone throughout the week has been superb but these three individuals deserve the recognition for tonight.

Little disappointed to find there were no steaks available on our visit other than having a mixed grill (4oz) I'd never even contemplate having this as it looks huge but as I wanted steak with a chicken fillet side I thought I'd give it ago and the rest of the family could have what I didn't want. I did 'try' everything on my plate so I could give an honest review and the steak & gammon were cooked perfectly the sausage was very tasty and the chicken was really succulent. Other meals ordered were captains chicken burger which was demolished in seconds and obviously enjoyed & ultimate burger which was HUGE. How we fit the in I don't know but we ordered a brownie sundae & banoffee pie which were gorgeous. Although the menu is new with many new items added I feel it has also shrunk a little. They used to offer swaps for sides which I couldn't see on the menu anymore. Overall I can't ever complain about Harvester I love going just felt a little deflated that there were no steaks & that's why I go there.

I had arrived late after a long day on the road and felt peckish. After looking at the minimal selection of food at my hotel I decided to head over to Harvester at around 9pm. I was greeted very warmly by one of the waiters and shown to my table. I asked for a drink and she came back with an empty glass and told me I was able to help myself as drinks were refillable. After a few more minutes another lady arrived to take my order, she too was really pleasant. I ordered the short rib of beef which came with triple fried chips a portion of slaw and corn with some salad. The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because of the food, not the service. My chips were warm, not hot so I'm not sure how long my meal was waiting for or if the chips were freshly made. The portion sizes were questionable too with the slaw being about the size of a tablespoon and the chips about a handful. The beef was succulent and juicy so no complaints there but for £16.99 I was expecting a bit more in terms of the extras. The other issue was that I only got to have one helping of my refillable drink! The only time I was approached by the lady who took my order was when I had already finished and she was coming to collect my plate. She asked if she could get me anything else and I asked to look at the dessert menu. It was a quiet night so there weren't many people eating but I was told the kitchen is closed, at 10pm. I was disappointed but acknowledged her and just asked for the bill. I went to go refill my drink only to find the spill tray was no longer there. So I hovered my glass under the nozzle and selected my drink, only for it to all spray everywhere including myself. There was nobody around to speak to. For £3 and one tumbler of Apple Tango, I found this to be a slight ripoff. If someone had come to see me during my meal to ask how things were I would have brought up the food warmth and portion sizes and in turn they may have told me when the kitchen would be closing and what time I won't be able to get any more of my bottomless drink.

I would firstly caveat my review by saying that I visited the Harvester as an away fan of Norwich City, who took a large following to Stoke, so the pub was unusually busy. While they were prepared for us in a way by having a stand set up outside, the service wasn't anywhere near fast enough. Let's be honest, football fans are a simple lot: just give us a choice of two beers/lagers and we're okay with that, so why not keep the flow going by just continually pouring pints? I don't know whether it was an issue of not having enough staff on, or not anticipating how many fans would flock to their pub, but the service was painfully slow. It genuinely was not an exaggeration to say that I queued for over 45 minutes, and I arrived at the pub no later than 1pm. Slow service aside, it was a nice enough venue, seemed clean and tidy, with plenty of space outdoors, and seating too. It is obviously located very close to Stoke City's Bet 365 stadium, which is a huge plus point. There's parking available too, for non-football punters.

Being from London it's nice to experience a Harvester that's not packed and loud. Staff were super approachable albeit a little overworked but they endeavoured to serve each customer as promptly as possible. Food selection was great with a wide ranging menu. I even caught ear of a means for allergy specific selections possible by use of the in house tablets to exclude the items your allergens forbid.

Went a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. Both staff who served us were very pleasant. We had the Herb Battered Halloumi, Chips and Peas, good size portions and piping hot. Salad bar was also very tasty. Going again next week!

Nice food, shame they don't stock the salad bar frequently enough. On our last visit we had to ask someone for several items to be refilled. This included bread rolls, pasta and tomatoes, to name a few. We had to wait 15 to 20 minutes for the bread, as there were none already cooked.

A Harvester is a Harvester right? You know what to expect, ample room with plenty of bar space and tables for food...Plenty of options available to get your teeth sunk into, make sure to keep an eye on the special deals because you can get yourself a 3 course meal for almost a tenner!! The service was fair, given that there weren't many staff on shift and the amount of people they had to serve was as high as it could get. Those on shift were curtious and polite and did everything they could to ensure we had a pleasant experience. If you're staying at the holiday inn next door then you can use any spending allowance at the Harvester which is a nice trick, as we all know a £16 burger from Holiday Inn is just a complete rip off!!

I have been using the Trentham Lakes Harvester for many years and in all that time have only had a bad meal twice. 99/100 the meals are excellent and the service has always been great. What I love is that my friend and I are big talkers which means that every meal takes an age....but the staff at Harvester don't pester you, they check on you to make sure you don't need anything and if you're fine, leave you to it. It can sometimes get loud in there when busy, and it is not open to other people when Stoke City play as it is rammed full of football fans. I find it annoying to have to pay for parking - even though you can get a refund it just means having to remember change before you go. All in all, would highly recommend

Waitress Megan was very unfriendly!!! My friends and I are not big eaters, we came in thinking a meal from the "kids menu" would be just filling enough. She rudely told us we couldn't order from the kids menu because "we're not kids." Thanks Megan, we're not coming back, and thanks for reminding us of company policy. My friends and I bought and ate our salads and left. Our actual waitress was very lovely though. Part II: It was a hot Summer's day and the aircon was much appreciated. The food was lovely; my friend and I ordered cod and fish, safe to say that we did not regret this. Our waitresses, Kim and Megan, did their jobs well although Megan could have been politer when refusing to let my friends order from the kids menu, but I understand there are rules to follow! Overall, the experience was not bad but some improvements can be made: 3/5. Part III: The exterior of the place was so beautiful i couldn't help but take a selfie for my ig. The interior looked similar to every harvester ive ever been to so it felt cozy. The toilets were clean and decent too; they had a huge mirror which was perfect for a selfie. Overall, i'd give the place a 9/10. Waitress Kim politely gave me tissues when i was desperate for them. For that, I will give them a 4/5 for service.

However when we first got there we had to wait 5 minutes at the door when we were shown to the seats there was no cutlery ready or no spare cutlery that was needed for the salad bar and the main course and waited for 20 minutes for the bill. Decent enough Harvester, nice decor, menu has shrunk somewhat. Salad bar was fresh and well stocked (chop the lettuce up a bit more though, I could have written a thesis on those leaves!), the triple cooked chips are a delight! Knocked a star off because the male staff are fond of horseplay. It's not really funny or cute, it's a bit daft and could cause a safety issue when you're all scrabbling over a bottle of spray, drop it and it leaks everywhere. Yep, we all saw it boys!

Shame our local harvester couldn't be like this.Cant wait for our next visit up to O Stoke will certainly go back for dinner here.
