We came here for a Friday evening meal with family and friends. The restaurant is located within 5min walk from Burton town centre. Although the facade is black and white, the colours on the inside are quite balmy and welcoming. The environment was quite cozy and decorated with thought. Decent distance between the tables. We ordered quite a few Indian dishes to share amongst 5 of us. We ordered veggie and meat dishes. We had to wait for the mains but we liked this as it was nice to have a break. They were all AMAZING! Huge credit to the chefs, front of the house and the owner. Everyone was passionate about what they do. We were so impressed with the service. Takeaways no doubt are cheaper but the price we pay is for the whole experience and we loved it. It wasn't too pricey either. Its indeed a little hidden gem at Burton for authentic Indian dishes. We want to return some time soon and will deffo recommend.

This place is the real deal folks- great service, great location, friendly friendly staff, VERY quick delivery- and the curries are spot on! I only have to say that my one complaint in this whole area is that they use chicken breast instead of thighs - but that’s cause people don’t know why better- but hey I’ll go back - keep trying because they ready are good- and the lemon rice and coconut rice are gorgeous- I can go on and on!

Lovely food, good covid restrictions, and great beer. They kindly sat us at a table in a corner away from the main transit. The dishes were lovely and the portions are very generous - we certainly took left overs home. They kindly cooked some plain chicken for our daughter so she could enjoy her meal too. We had been there a few times, and will go again :)

8 years of takeaway from this gem and I've never had a bad experience. Drivers are always friendly, foods always hit, but most of all, the food is always superb. I'll always recommend this place over everywhere else 👍

Have just been for what is honestly the best curry I have had in a long time! The chicken korma was beautiful, the meat cooked perfectly and the naan bread was so beautiful, you cannot beat a freshly cooked dish in a lovely atmosphere. Ansar (apologies if I have spelt your name incorrectly) offered service with a smile and could recommend a dish purely on my dad describing what sort of thing he likes and as a result my dad now has a new favourite dish! Will absolutely be recommending people visit and will be coming back again very soon! Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

Another fantastic take away from this restaurant highly recommended. Staff are always polite and go out of their way to make you dishes you want times are accurate for delivery. Can not wait until we can return to in house dinning we miss the chat with you guys.

Convenient parking, Excellent service, very pleasant staff and some of the best food in burton and derby area. We were planning on going to Birmingham for food but decided to stay closer to home and it was the best decision we made. Kids absolutely loved the food and asked if we could go back there again as we were driving home 🙈 tbh the price is almost 80% cheaper than some of the restaurants in derby with the same quality surrounding, food, service and ambience so i guess why not? 🤷‍♂️

Not bin here in years, it wasn't very busy but we do like to eat early 5:30, they was a bit slow on getting the drinks to us but the food was delicious the chicken was very succulent. Very impressed definitely recommend it

Wide selection on the food menu, not a great offer of drinks though! Food came out very fast, lovely garlic chicken! The naan was very dry and lacking fillings/toppings-i requested a keema and cheese, it was closer to a thick chapati! Salt and pepper mills available but empty?! ...Not bad pricing at all, would of been nice for poppadoms and condiment selection whilst waiting for food. Toilets need attending-one presumed out of use an other no toilet roll! Get some new hinges on (i believe to be) the kitchen door! Otherwise, a nice meal!

I’ve dined in a few times and quality/service have always been consistently good. Ordered a takeout last weekend, all I can say is top top quality. Timing was perfect, said they’d deliver in 45 mins and they did. The best curry house by a country mile in Burton. Highly Recommended!!!

Absoloutly lovely food. We collected an order from them that initially had the wrong food but after a phone call the owner sorted it all out. It nice to see a business still going in these hard time so there’s no point giving them a hard time for a minor slip. Great pricing, great tasting food. Plenty left over for lunch the next day. Great atmosphere and food. Staff are friendly and as chatty as you want them to be. Took my 3 and 7 year old daughters and they made them special curries just spicy enough for them to eat (we even brough the left overs home) Good job we got there early as it filled up fast. The phone was ringing every couple of minutes for takeaway orders. (Which are just as good as eating in) Give them a go.

I've not visited Jee Ja Jees for about 8-9 years, but the food is just as delicous as I remember. They have all the 'traditional' dishes you'd expect to see in a Curry restaurant, but the house specials are different and mostly importantly really flavoursome. first time using on line takeaway. pre ordered and delivery said 18 .15. which was great for us. then had e.mail to say our delivery would be delayed till 18.30. At 18 05 our delivery came lovely guy rang the bell . and left it by front door. (social distancing) the food was piping hot and very tasty. would highly recommend. great service . a smile and thumbs up from driver. will defo order again.

The food was tasty, and the service was friendly, but slow. It took 15 mins to take our order after we were seated, we actually had to ask for it to be taken because it took so long. We also had to ask twice for water which was annoying. The restaurant itself is quite dark and almost looks like it could do with a refurb, the lights were off before the toilets which made it very difficult to see where the doors actually were and which was male or female. Even in the toilet half the lights were off? The major positive was the food tasted nice.

Went here for a birthday party Good points Staff were lovely and very attentive to our service. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. These is lots of parking to the rear of the building. Bad points Although the food was ok I have had much better. The price was a little on the high side.

I have to say that I am not feeling the love for Jee Ja Jeez at the moment. I used to think these were the best in Burton. I always have lamb jalfrezi which should be spicy and flavoursome; but since the last few months (possibly Covid) the taste has been quite bland and very easy to eat, not hard as it wasn’t really warm. They’ve let something slip which is unfortunate!! The reason I gave a three star was because the girls really enjoyed their massala and korma.

29th July'17 was the first time I'd been to Jee Ja Jees. The restaurant was lovely. Tables well spread out, so could chat without people over hearing to much. Staff were lovely, service good,prices reasonable and the food really nice.
