5 family members ventured there today for my Daughters birthday meal. The party also included 2 older family members. The food orders were processed pleasingly and promptly by Maddie and Nath. The food was cooked to perfection and served to our table piping hot and in a timely manner, a selection of mains and deserts. The food was also presented pleasingly and professionally. When it came to the Bill, yet again I was astounded by the terrific value this place represents. I don't eat out very often, but will aboviously have no issues returning there or recommending.. A+ Satisfaction :-)

A nice place to have a bite to eat, we occasionally go there on the way back from Trentham gardens and it is a nice pub with good food for a reasonable price. The lunchtime menu is what we often order from the not only is the food good, but also enough to leave us completely full.

first time coming to The Man in Space. very busy Sunday but managed to find a table quite quickly. menu had lots of variety. ordered at the bar. 40 min wait on food. we expected that as it was full to the brim with people. food came within about 20 mins, so not too bad. good value for money and really enjoyed it. We ordered desserts too and were very impressed with the price and the value! Will be coming again 😊 also, younger man behind the bar was very nice and an attribute to the team.

During the COVID restrictions, The Man in Space was safe, efficient and still had delicious yet affordable food. The carpark is easy to access with many spaces and the building is fully wheelchair friendly. The staff were pleasant and followed guidelines accordingly.

Me and My Girlfriend visit all the time but the last time we went which I’d say was about 2 weeks ago it was the best it’s ever been, Staff are always lovely, Polite and welcoming. Has this place changed hands as its always been good here but just recently the food has gone down hill. Chips were cold. Crispy beef was more rubbery than crispy like it was cooked an hour before and left on the side. When we complained they just refunded the bill. Not even an apology from the staff. I think we'll leave it for a bit now.

I visit the Man in space about once a month and always walk away happy. Friendly staff who are happy to accommodate different dietary requirements if requested. I always ask for my sizzler on a plate and swap onions and tomatoe for peas. Lovely place to eat at a reasonable cost.

Having bought a house close to the pub, we found it really handy for meals when we were refurbishing our home and had no cooking facilities. Breakfast is great, plentiful and unlimited tea and coffee set us up for the day. Food menu is exactly what you would expect from this type of pub; you don't eat here for Michelin food. It's Brakes frozen food, but perfectly acceptable for an every day meal. The staff are great and friendly. Perhaps sometimes under a lot of pressure during busy times, they continue to smile and get on with it. We did experience one occasion during a very busy period when we waited 45 minutes for food; that's life!!! All in all, it's a good low budget, every day pub - we have no complaints.

Went on Monday lunch with my mum and sister my sis and I had a steak and chicken combo the chicken was okish but the steak was horrible not one bite could be swallowed it was just full of fat and so was my sister's.The landlord said he knew the steak was not good as he'd had so many complaints.why sell it if it's not of a good quality he said the chain of pubs knew also. Landlord gave my mum a free sweet.But honestly think we should not have paid .will be a while before I go again

Good points: clean, tidy, plenty of seating, comfortable, plenty of variety on the menu and at the bar. Bad points: ordered three sizzling platters, none of them arrived sizzling! The messy Mexican chilli meal was bland and the bed of onions was slimy. There was a mix up with my order, I wanted chicken and ribs combo meal with an extra side salad. It came just the meat and salad no tomato, mushroom or chips, when I queried this and asked if I could have them the young lady told me "thats what was on the order, you'll have to order at the bar if you want chips!'" so not really excellent customer service there. If I had been paying we might have had a very different conversation about this but my mum was treating us. My meal went cold very quickly and the piece of chicken was not moist at all, mine was also on a bed of cold slimy onions. The coffee was watery and insipid. The staff seemed to be quite disorganised and the computer system was blamed at least twice for mistakes. I don't think we will bother again even though the ribs were delicious.
