D. W.The place was busy (which is a good sign!). Nice layout and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was really good and the portion sizes were great. The price was reasonable I expected the price to be higher due to recent price hikes in pretty much everything but was pleasantly surprised on this occasion. The place was easy to find and there is ample parking on site. Atmosphere was enjoyable also. I would recommend this place for something to eat.
L. M.The moorland is perfect for a catch up with friends over a few cheeky drinks but also great for grabbing lunch or dinner with my little one. The staff are always helpful and polite. Nothing is too much, it’s always clean and service is efficient and excellent value for money.

M. D.I have frequented a few places around the area but this is by far the best compared to the other local places. The staff, Chris in particular are very helpful, friendly and attentive. The food is really nice, well presented and tasty. I will be back soon!

K. B.When we ordered our meal it took nearly 1 hour to arrive and when it did there were items missing from one plate,the wraps for the fajitas were burnt so they wouldn't wrap. When we ordered afters the hot ones were only luke warm and the cold ones were still frozen solid. We won't be going there again

G. A.Fairly local pub,(for me!) serves food, has a play area for kids, quite a bit of outdoor seating, some under cover, some with large umbrellas, some open. Large car park, with easy access .Disabled facilities, families welcome, a nice place with great staff.And despite being next to a quite busy junction you do not notice the traffic due to clever design and garden layout. Well worth a visit.

t. c.My partners steak was well done when asked for rare, mine was burnt and very small (size of a burger) with parts of the meal missing and this wasn't the first time this had happened to us, when spoke to waitress she just made comment of 'oh', I also mentioned about the free drink for fathers and she just stated there was a code on app but I didn't see it, she asked another member of staff who said it had to be used when ordering main meal which we had already ordered and paid for so we didn't get the promotion, we waited over a hour for our food and when came to ordering puddings it wasn't available after 8pm, spoke to member of staff who said we could still order, so we waited another 30 minutes and no one came for order so we just ended up leaving, shame as we normally love this and recommend loads but not so much after the last 2 experience, booked this 2 weeks in advance as this is my partners favourite place to go so thought it would be good make fathers day special but became a flop

J. T.Went for a Christmas lunch today. Not impressed with the main meal. Frozen vegetables, frozen roast potatoes, gravy already put on the meal rather than a boat of gravy. We were a party of 30 and it was booked a few weeks ago, had only one waitress, who I have to say tried her very best.
K. B.Each time I've been I have loved it. The first time I visited I didn't reserve a table so finding a seat was very difficult - its always better to book which is what I do each time now. The food is amazing, its so filling at an amazing price and quality. Theres food for everyone, when my Mum comes to visit its hard to find a place that caters for a vegan without charging the earth, but this place has a full vegan and vegetarian menu at the same prices as the rest. The staff are always pleasant and friendly. Occasionally some of the guests get loud and boisterous, but nothing serious has ever come of that. I will continue to visit this place and would advise others the same.
S. S.Popular gastro pub with an inexpensive but basic menu. Had to wait half an hour for the food. Food was good but presentation was lacking. Similarly ordered 6 drinks at the bar but their was no tray available so cheap and cheerful.

J. E.Me and my girlfriend go here all the time. We both think the food is fantastic. The burgers are excellent and moderately priced. We never wait more than 30 minutes for our food. All of the staff are friendly and even had a conversation or two with the manager. Would definitely reccomend to anyone.

However as it was a very hot night we decided to take our drinks into the beer garden only to be told we could not go there after 9pm and if we wanted to stay outside we would have to stay on the decked area which is full of smokers. As we do not smoke that is unacceptable.

e.Had my 60th lunch at the Moorland Inn today. The food was great, and
everyone was served together, all 14 of us! The staff were lovely as well,
friendly and cheerful. They serve a good selection of meals, but most of
us had steaks which come on an iron plate, still sizzling. Can't fault the Moorland Inn, we always go there because it is consistently good.

I. G.I am a regular at the moorland! Pleasant staff, cracking food and a welcoming feel. I personally always have the same thing there but my fiancè always tries different things I have the mega mix grill! Gammon steak, beef steak, chicken fillet, sausage, mushrooms, onion rings, chips and peas... absolutely outstanding and value for money!!!

P.We visited Thursday lunchtime,, we wanted 2 for 1 meals and asked for fish, chips and peas, but we're told none was available unless we had them off the fish and chip menu costing £6 more, this may not seem a lot, but to us pensioners it is, that's why we choose 2 for 1 menu. We had dining out card with us, which had been given to us by our daughter which had £8.55 on, we paid the other £6 odd by cash. The barman gave us the card and receipt back, but no where was the cash recorded, I have the receipt. the meal was piping hot, the batter on the fish was very thick and very hard my husband left most of his dinner and so did I, we were both bitterly disappointed and wonder what happened, it spoilt a lovely day out. Jan. I rang Mel, she apologized and
offered me a voucher, which I said I would accept, she also said ,as I lived so near to the pub, she could even pop it through my door herself, up to date I have received nothing, I have rung 3 times and been told it's in the post, I think it must be snail mail, I don't think I will be visiting the moorland again..😭 The very next morning someone in a car posted a voucher through my door with an apology, it wasn't in the post after all, I never thought it was anyway. We visited again today 13th, Feb and I'm very glad to say it was so different. The place was packed, we had the fish and chips again, this time they were delicious and we'll worth the 5 stars I have given it now, I will certainly visit again, thank you Mel.👌

We didn't have a member of the staff come and ask us if everything was ok or clear the plates away. Poor service on this visit.
I. A.6 of us have been for lunch today and the pub was very busy. A customer was hard of hearing and the gentleman on the bar was so patient with her. Although under pressure to serve the waiting customers he treated the customer with the utmost respect. The food was lovley . Thank you .

r. m.The moorland inn has had a turn around, staff there always on hand to help with anything, especialy table cleaning as they get very busy they are more than happy to help. seen them sweep up after alot of children straight away. always good banter and a garunteed laugh at the bar. I had the vegie burger, it was gorgeous!, had a choice of chips, curly fries, salad, rice or jacket which a thought was very hellpful. i opted for salad, came with lettuce, cucumber, peppers tomatoes with dressing. i loved it. Fair enough the decor could do with a spruce up but didnt effect my meal or service what so ever :), thank you guys for great hospitality.
