I was actually impressed with the quality of food I received. The meat was curry was 11/10. The restaurant was clean and staffs were very polite and welcome. I had takeaway meal deal for 2 people for £22. I will be back again when I’m local.

Rang for a table 20minutes before we turned up. We are staying at alton towers. The chap was pleasant and happily told us it would be fine to come. (Parking in the local carpark is free after 3.30pm) We were greeted on arrival, high chair was set up ready to go. Food was swiftly delivered to our table once we placed our order. Plenty of options on offer. (Family naan is no joke its huge and delicious) My missus ordered a curry (rogan josh with paneer) which isnt on the menu and they were more than happy to make it happen for her. Overall the food was great, and you'd get no complaints from me or the missus. I would say to people that arent local - they dont have an alcohol licence but are happy for you to bring your own. We both dont drink so it wasnt so much of a problem for us. they seemed to be happy for you to bring your own soft drinks which i thought was a great idea although we didnt bring our own. Thanks for a great meal.

I placed an order for delivery and the person I talked to on the phone (Issy) was really lovely and helpful in answering my questions to assure that what I ordered was plant based. It was a Saturday so I understand that it may have been busy, but the delivery was over 30 minutes late. I asked for a curry with a coconut milk base and got nothing of the sort, but it was still good. The Peshwari naan was nothing like what I've had in the past and was inedible, tasting artificial. Overall everything was ok, but I will be sure to order something different in the future.

Staff were really friendly, and accomodating. Ismail particularly. They went out of their way to make food authetically, to suit our taste and couldnt do enough for us. Chef even made veg dishes that arent on menu, and catered to allergies. Food was really tasty, went for partners bday, who gave it 10/10. Really impressed as veggie food isnt always tasty when eating out...but was here. Thank you all. Suggetsion...indian dessert menu would be good 😊

Was recommended this restaurant when staying locally. Fantastic food, huge portions and all for a great price. The naan breads especially are a talking point, three times the size of a dinner plate! My partner had their special murghal korma which was beautifully presented and I had a mixed tandoori grill. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol but allows you to bring your own for no additional fee. The staff were helpful and polite and the service was amazing. Will definitely be returning!!!

We popped to Mughal after being highly recommend by our Air BnB host. We were not disappointed, friendly staff that took us through the menu and gave us some recommendations, Food came quick and it was absolutely delicious. The Naan breads are HUGE, and most of the table struggled to finish one to themselve. It's also BYOB and there is a shop next door if you want to pick up a couple of beers. We will 100% be back again on our next visit to the peak District

Went to the Mughal restaurant last Saturday for the first time and was very impressed. The food was tasty, service was quick and the overall customer service was really friendly and welcoming. The restaurant isn't licenced but there is a Bargain Booze a few doors down so it's all good! Will definitely return. Edit: Naan bread was huge!

After long day at the rosort, we wanted proper meal and had to be halal, ordered our food for take away , was the right choice, food was amazing, perfect spice, tasty and very good portion, we all really enjoyed the food kids were really happy, thank you chef and the person who took our order very polite and helpful and honest. Great restaurant with lovely food. We got great food recommendations from the waiter and there was plenty of food for the 4. We especially loved the lamb masala and the spin ich with chicken masala. The prices in the restaurant are low (especially compared with Indian restaurants in the Netherlands). Note that you can bring your own drinks here (to drink alcohol it is even a must), or you buy it in the supermarket next door. Simple drinks like soda are availible in the restaurant.

Excellent find. Came to Alton Towers on a Friday and we found this place in the evening. The family & staff are extremely friendly and the food is amazing!! Be warned about the naan breads - they are huge!!!! Call to book, it’s deservedly extremely busy. No alcohol is served but can bring your own (can also bring your own soft drinks). Great value as well.

We drove 25 miles there for a Valentines date. This family run restaurant is a perfect example of customer service, backed up by amazing tasting food. Massive portions for the prices too. Brilliant Restaurant , We ordered take out and It was done all by the time we had a drink in the pub down the road. Great Value, Large portions and FANTASTIC customer service, they couldn't do enough to help us out. Even provided plastic cutlery for our takeaway for the hotel we were in!! We have only just moved to the area and decided to try this restaurant, in the current situation we had to have our food either delivered or collected. When I rang through the order I was answered by a young man that was ever so polite and made sure that I was catered for. I was not disappointed by this food as it was so delicious. The best Indian I have had in a very long time. The king prawn butterfly was outstanding lived up to my expectations from when I was 16. This was probably one of the best curries I've ever had, the family sized nan was simply beautiful. My daughter ate her very first curry here tonight and she loved it. The staff's hospitality was fantastic. I would come back again if i didn't live in Australia.

Very Friendly with just the right amount of personal touch. Met with a friendly greeting. Food exceptional due to the owner being passionate about the taste and excellence of the food that is served. You could taste the freshness in all that was served and sauce tasted better than you would expect. Very friendly staff and the food I had was very good. Nice to be able to order lassi. I don't think that they have an alcohol license you can bring your own if you like. Located on the high Street so parking is limited , the closest parking is the town centre and it is free after 3.30 in the afternoon.

What a fantastic place to eat...perfect location a gem if your visiting Alton Towers. The staff are very friendly...the resturant is family run and the Owner can be regularly seen. The personal touch to the food and service makes this an exceptional place to eat. The food has the perfect blend of taste and spice which this can be altered to your spice levels. The portions you get are very generous and I'm sure you won't leave dissapointed 5* all the way.

Just ordered from here. Best curry ever! Not even joking! The gentlemen that served us when we picked up our meal were very nice and very friendly, they gave us free sweets and a drink! You must go to this place, either dine in or takeaway!

Excellent place with great, friendly staff. Free delivery on items, although the price of delivery is the same as eating in. By delivery, you do get extra popadums and bhajees if you order over 15 pounds. A lovely restaurant environment and usually there is no need to book in advance.

Excellent polite staff, couldn't do enough for you. At our time of visit the clientele wasnt great (Loud, Drunk and Obnoxious) but they made us feel welcome and made sure we wasnt bothered and enjoyed ourselves while apologising as much as possible. Quick service, we didnt book but they took our mobile number and rang us when a place was free. The food was excellent and waaaay to much food to to handle and was very delicious. I would recommend the peshwari chicken, best curry ive had. Beware the naan breads are massive! Would definitely go here again! 6 Stars if possible. Make sure your wives dont fall in love with the waiting staff...as mine did. I was happily married for 16 years and she left me for an employee. Even tho my life is in tatters its still a brilliant curry house and would reccomend.

Very friendly staff, food is always spot on and the owner Zulf is a gem. We eat in and use the takeaway delivery service, it's all good. You can ask for child portions and mixed flavour naan breads. The staff are really friendly and you can ask for certain dishes with a bit more or less kick.

Visited Cheadle recently and had food from The Mughal on 3 nights. The staff is really warm and polite. The quality of food is good. The Tandoori Chicken is served as multiple sliced pieces as opposed to a Tandoori Chicken on bone. I liked this new style. Vegetarian food was also nice. Overall a very good experience of The Mughal.

The food at The Mughal is excellent, packed full of flavour and clearly time is taken when preparing dishes. Talking about time - we have waited a long time for our meals on every visit. They have a strong take-away trade and I feel they prioritise this over those dining in the restaurant. However, the food is really worth the wait. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the restaurant is clean and tidy - though a little on the small side, and the food is inexpensive.

Another visit to this local restaurant and another lovely meal. I tried the Dahl murgh, a chicken and lentil curry which was delicious. The others had lamb tikka bhuna, chicken tikka bhuna and lamb pathia. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was excellent as usual.
