A great restaurant! Great service (thanks Amy) and great food served in a comfy setting on the Trentham Estate. Dog and child friendly inside and out. Brunch, light and main menus with a child’s version too. I had the chicken Caesar salad and zucchini fritters. The salad was more then enough on its own! Everyone enjoyed their food and agreed we will visit again soon!!

Really enjoyed this! First time visitor and impressed. A definite upgrade on what was there before. It's a perfect location for somewhere like this and fits in well with the owners' other places like the Orange Tree and Wayfarer. Food was great and although service was a little slow due to how busy it was, it was always with a smile and we were in no rush to leave. Good pricing considering location, ambience and clientele. Will return soon.

Willow, what can I say. Had a recommendation from a friend, and it didn't disappoint. The staff were super lovely and attention. I'd mentioned it was for a birthday, and bought balloons and prosecco, which were there when we arrived. The staff even wrote a card, and delivered dessert with a candle. The food was faultless too. I really like some of the other restaurants in the group. Willow is the best of the lot though, it's got a really relaxed atmosphere and very calming with a nice understated buzz. I'll be back.

Delicious Mediterranean food and cocktails. Quality you always find at Parogon restaurants. The service was a bit on the slow side and a mistake with the bill at the end of our visit, hence why I'm dropping a star in the rating. Overall, I'd definitely recommend going for a date night or something special if you want to treat yourself.

A lovely restaurant, great food and service. Dined here many times. Came for brunch and absolutely enjoyed the vegan plate!! Pre-booking is recommended, even for lunch. This place is always busy. Limited parking directly outside. But Trentham Gardens has a huge car park, finding a space could take a few minutes. Highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Very nice place! The staff was very friendly and the food was tasty. The interior is very aesthetically pleasing, too:) If you’re looking for a fancy place to go to in the area then this is probably it. My only concern is that there wasn’t a single baked potato with the roast turkey haha An actual thing that I’d point out is that the branches on the willow hang very low and it’s a bit annoying to walk around them. Overall, good experience!

Fantastic food and lovely restaurant. Willow is always very busy, you need to book to avoid disappointment. Even with a lunchtime booking we had to wait at the bar for 10 mins for our table to be ready (it's a tough life). Both our dishes were amazing, we will be returning soon!

Love how dog friendly this place is. Like the styling, brunch menu good. The willow tree in the entrance needs a bit of a lop if you're taller than 5'2" as you find yourself getting tangled up in it 🙈 Other food on menu sounded good, so will be going back to try when next in the area.

A good restaurant, the best in the area in my opinion. Delicious burger and steak, atmospheric place, but always very crowded, so best to book early. Good staff, can recommend what to get.

Wish it could be 5 stars. I have deducted 2 stars because the evening menu is really unappealing. I struggled to find anything that I was interested in - vegan shepherd's pie - really! I ended up ordering the Frito mixto & a burger. All was fine but I really wish that the menu was more varied. I was with a table of 6 and we all had the same problem. I hope the management sorts this or it will be a lovely venue I won't be visiting again. ☹️☹️

Just been for Sunday dinner and it was beautiful. Lovely decor and ambiance. Was very busy so service suffered quite a bit but would recommend. Saw some reviews that portion sizes were small, I had the roast belly pork & it was a mighty portion. The willow martini was awesome 🍸

Service was excellent, food was delicious. Catering for vegans to. Toilets spotless. Decor lovely and quirky . A bit strange how dogs were allowed to come in and sit with there owners on any table , obviously on the floor . Thought they would have a designated area as not all customers like dogs . Not the cheapest place to go but I personally would comeback. Nice touch how they gave birthday cards out to my family as it’s was there special day. We had several bottles of wine but they only had one bottle of sweet wine in which was a bit disappointing. Good car park with plenty of spaces .

Very nice food. Helpful staff. Liked the dog basket service and particularly enjoyed my Caesar Salad (boiled eggs in it which gave it a hint of Nicoise but that is fine because I like eggs). Nice outside space and lovely Hedge to protect the diners from the car park which is very close to the front of the restaurant.

Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Had small issues with my food on each of three visits - medium fillet steak almost raw in centre, some money knocked off. Chicken on skewer extremely dry with far too little harrisa- busy so didn't complain. Still I'd be more than happy to revisit. Very dog friendly, water bowl and a bed crate for the pooches is a really nice touch.

As a party of 11 I had booked a late afternoon meal last Saturday. I had pre-booked the meal through Fiona. Our server was amazing. She identified and confirmed the requirements for one of our guests with a special (allergy) diet. When she saw us taking pictures at the table she offered and took her time to take some of our whole group. They are brilliant pictures. There was an issue with the timing of the meals however, once highlighted, it was quickly resolved by Fiona. Beautiful ambience, fabulous staff. We will definitely return.

The atmosphere was really nice and the service was very good and the team were friendly. Probably expected a bit more from the food based on experiences at others from the same group. The food was a bit basic really and not the gastropub standard I'd expected. Overall the meal was good and we will probably go back.

We went for a meal and it was lovely the food was tasty and cooked to perfection couldn't have been more satisfactory. The staff were attentive and friendly. There was a great atmosphere. The small wait for the food was worth it as you know it's been cooked fresh and it is t the run of the mill food like you get in pub chains. Will definitely be going back to sample more of the menu. We love this place! Visited on a whim we would get a table and we did. I had the lamb which was amazing! My partner had the fish which was the best battered fish in town. We struggled to pick a dessert as the selections were all so good. The service was really good. They certainly look after you. I love how the workers are all different and not mini clones of each other. Defo recommend this place to all ages and walks of life.

Lovely venue. Very atmospheric. We did have to wait a long time after our booking time but this was dealt with well by the management. The menu is very over fussy and a bit strange not in a good way. The staff were really lovely and friendly and couldn’t be faulted but we could hardly find anything we wanted to eat on the menu and only one of 6 enjoyed our meal. I would not recommend the bacon chop as it’s extremely salty and smothered in Harissa sauce which was so hot. The rump steak was slimy as if it had been pickled. A very funny texture not like steak. The fillet steak was the best meal. We did not order desserts as we did not enjoy our mains. The staff saved it by being so helpful. We would return for drinks, snacks but not an evening meal. We would have spent a lot more had we enjoyed our meal.

Had a great, very long lunch with friends on Monday. Service was excellent and no-one pushed us to leave, even though we were there for 4 hours! Disappointing that the restaurant had sold out of the aubergine parmigiano as two of out table of 3 were planning to order that. Will definitely return. Thank you. Since when did you start to levy a service charge for just 3 guests, by the way?

Booked a table for 2/30 but were not called till 3pm.. It was very busy but worth the wait. Service was a little slow but still good and efficient food was presented well and plentiful. I ordered sea bass and happy there was two fillets overall the group was happy not cheap but that's a sign of the times. Thanks willow

I booked this restaurant last year for after the Christmas Trail but unfortunately it was cancelled on the day due to them having to close due to staff illness. I booked again for our trip this year and we received a warm welcome and shown to our table straight away. Our waitress informed us there were quite a few items from the menu which were unavailable. Quite annoying as surely they cater for busy times. She kept checking on us which was nice but we tried to have banter with her to no avail. Food we ordered was nice and hot and good portion sizes.

been a few times now - staff are very friendly and efficient and the food is very good. Super family friendly - a young person in our party had a drink spill and they provided a spare tee shirt - in the right size! How impressive is that?

Great experience and fancy food, lovely treat for all of those special occasions. They even have little dog baskets if you want somewhere to park your dog indoors or out. The staff were attentive and orders were served quickly.

Food similar to other Paragon Group pubs; well presented but low quality and overpriced. I found the service to be quite good but unworthy of a sneaky service charge which I refuse to pay; I only tip if the service has been faultless. Additionally I noticed the group has increased prices 20-25% on some menu items and then added a 7.5% service charge; very brave with a recession almost upon us.

This is a classy place. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only thing that lets it down are the actual toilets and there are no toilet roll holders in practice.

Came for Christmas lunch with 3 friends. Ordered baileys cocktail, then told 5 mins later they had no baileys. Sat at table spent 5 mins looking through menu. Told waitress we would like one Trout and three turkey dinners, to be told "sorry we have no turkey!!."... So we ordered something else. Dessert menus arrived and I joking asked if all items where still available, only to be told that Three of the items were sold out. Willow is a very busy restaurant in which you books days and weeks in advance, so to run out of so many items at lunchtime is very poor management. Sorry, but as stated bookings are made in advance so would have been for warned. Food we had was OK but considering we went for Christmassy cocktails and turkey with trimmings we ended up with lager and burger. Not good!!

I treated my son grandsons and my sons mrs to willow b4 they went to watch the circus show Halloween it was pricey but that's ok and they realy enjoyed the food my son said the steak was perfect he knows a good steak when he sees one ,and a great cooked steak and the Mrs enjoyed the chicken she ate it all they all enjoyed it and said there definitely returning another time so full 5 stars thanks to willow for great food and service and very clean keep it up willow

I have a young puppy so finding such a lovely restaurant that totally caters for dogs was wonderful. The restaurant itself is lovely and the food is really very good. The staff were very pleasant and the service was great. I loved the fact that they supplied each dog with its.own dog crate and blanket so that they could be comfortable at your feet whilst you ate. I would 100% recommend even if you don’t have a dog!!!

Willow Restaurant at Trentham Gardens is a great place to visit for a get together girlie lunch, romantic meal for two or a family get together. Inside the restaurant is tastefully decorated and lends itself well to a relaxed dining experience whilst also suggesting a feel good vibe. The staff are polite and obviously weĺl trained to offer an excellent service, going the extra mile to ensure a great dining experience. Well what about the food? A gastronomic delight, cooked to perfection leaving us satiated and feeling that we had a wonderful dining experience. All in all we can't wait to visit again. Ten out of ten.

Love this dog friendly & welcoming place, the coffee is great too I drink black and Willow's is nice and strong just how I like my coffee. Comfortable seating outside as well as inside and dogs are welcomed inside too with a bowl of water and they can use the Willow dog beds situated by the entrance.

I absolutely enjoyed eating here, the fact that they do decent vegan food that doesn’t taste like cardboard is ace! Had a double cheese veggie burger and the best cocktails (regardless of the waiter almost made me wear it instead of drinking it) and altogether the food was amazing. Beautifully put together and good service. I would only like to mention that due to covid it would be great if the waiters and waitresses don’t go around all tables all the time and limit the amount of times they approach each table. It was opening day and they definitely deserve the 5 ⭐️. Just a few things I could not ignore but definitely recommend!

Very different from my last visit. My mocha was luke warm, I asked for a replacement and waited far too long. I was not told that focacia had replaced the sour dough. Focacia was too thick and hard. Husbands breakfast was fine.

Lovely place ..took to long from ordering to table ..wouldnt go again ..booked in for 12.45pm..came out 3.10pm..it was a last special meal as we were plcing my hubby into care home on the way back ..we spent £130..disgusted the cheeky beggers charged us £10 service charge ..what a laugh..keeping us waiting that long for our meals ..no starters ..4 mains Couple drinks each ..been quicker to go th aldi at trentham...grrrrrrr

Lovely eatery, with bar, seating and separate dining area.Free parking surrounding the restaurant and it is just outside of the gardens Plenty of variety on the menu and I recommend the halloumi salad. Portions sizes are very generous and this is the biggest (not complaining) salad iv had! Reasonably priced and worth a visit.

It was a fabulous experience from start to finish. We were greeted straight away. The menus came to us. We given just enough time to choose drinks and food. I had a bramble and it was the best I’ve ever tasted. The food was beautiful. The atmosphere was really good very relaxing very chilled. Service was great. I also thought it was very good value for money. There maybe just one tiny tiny criticism that is there were a few too cushions in the back rest. Would definitely eat there again in fact can’t wait

We turned up and asked if they had a table for 2, despite lots of empty tables they told us they had no space. We then proceeded to go on their website where we easily booked a table for 2 and returned to the restaurant 5 mins later to be given a table. Once at our table it took about 20 minutes for our order to be taken. However the food then arrived quickly and was absolutely divine! No idea why we were originally turned away from the restaurant, and I think short staffing led to delayed service. But highly recommend the food and would return.

Went here for breakfast. Beautiful looking restaurant. Extensive menu. What a find for dog lovers! we had a great time looking at all the doggos in their posh beds, that are given to them on arrival, so that they can lie next to their owners table. Attention to detail slightly lacking, as our coffees arrived without a spoon or sugar, and we had to ask twice to get those things. Breakfast could have been hotter, (steak and egg breakfast) and parts of it were over cooked (sautéed potatoes) but on the whole we all enjoyed our dishes. A coat stand or cloakroom would be welcome IMHO, as we were on a booth type table that had such comfy seats with multiple cushions that there was literally no-where to put our four winter coats other than on the floor under the table!!

Everything was spot on but I bought pasta arrabiata and paid extra for chicken and the chicken was deep fried breaded which was not mentioned anywhere and I do not eat fried food so that was a waste. Maybe it is me but I never thought that deep fried breaded chicken would go with pasta. Overall it was a pleasant evening and Amy, out waiter, was amazing.

We’ve been for breakfast twice now and it’s good at best. Maybe I’ve just been over exposed to the Paragon restaurants but they all seem to be on a similar level and lacking that final punch. We loved the inclusion of the dog beds though as we often take our pooch to trentham. We may be back completely out of convenience due to its proximity to the gardens but we won’t make a special trip.

Two of us visited on a Tuesday evening and sat inside the very pleasant restaurant. I was glad that in spite of being quite busy it didn't feel cramped as it is nicely spaced out - the service was very good too considering how busy it was. We both ordered burgers and cocktails which were absolutely delicious. So delicious in fact we returned on Thursday for lunch. This time we sat outside, which was deeply pleasant in the nice weather. The service, lunch and the mocktails we ordered were again truly excellent for the money, especially the caesar salad. A really enjoyable experience on both days. Not cheap, but if you want decent food you should expect to pay for it - highly, highly reccomended. My only regret is I don't live nearer..!

First time visiting, nice atmosphere, well decorated and seemed a very popular place. We enjoyed our time there, very friendly staff and very hospitable. One waitress did accidentally spill one of our drinks but was very apologetic and cleaned up, and accidents do happen. Later we ordered vegetarian food but our bill showed up a meat option which I enquired about with a different waitress, to double check my meal was vegetarian. She replied unconvincingly "Yeah I'm sure it was, maybe someone couldn't find the option on the till" which didn't do much for my doubt. Thankfully, I remembered my order had been taken by a waitress with pen and paper so I felt better reassured it got passed to the kitchen correctly and not just sent through as the meat version. Overall though, nice place.

Booked a table though it was not free for 20 minutes after our booking time . Service quiet slow and our coffee was cold on arrival. The service staff bought fresh hot coffee and deducted it off the bill. The food was lovely . So after a slow start it was worth the wait .

Willow is the Paragon Group’s answer to Mediterranean casual dining (we went for dinner, so cannot comment on brunch and lunch offerings). Having now tried all the other Paragon pubs in the area, this would rank mid-table. The decor and atmosphere created out of what was Joe’s Kitchen is lovely, however I would say that it is a little too noisy to have casual conversation, a bit like it gets in The Orange Tree. We had two courses with drinks for just under £50, which is about the going rate for this standard of food. Generally, we were happy with the quality of the food and the portion sizes, though I would suggest avoiding the burrata starter, as it was a particularly bad example. We will return, but probably only to see if the brunch menu makes us happier. I’m actually awarding 3.5 stars, but leaning more to 4 on the basis of the actual venue being so pretty.

She should also commended for holding her nerve when it became apparent a drunken oaf was going to cause trouble, She is a star and a credit to the restaurant. We were sorry we didn't stay for coffee or dessert, as the atmosphere had changed and the drunk was staying in our hotel, my wife was a bit distressed so we made our way back. Lovely to see the way Paragon have transformed the ex Joe's Kitchen restaurant, giving it a great Mediterranean garden feel! I've visited on 2 occasions now, brunch and dinner, both times I feel that the food served was not the best it could be. The sourdough toast served at brunch was cut so thin it was like a crispbread and totally detracted from the rest of the food. Never had tasteless sourdough before! On the occasion of dinner I ordered the roast salmon Nicoise salad, which looked like a starter served on a main course plate. I get that a salad is a lighter meal, and I don't have a massive appetite when the weather is hot, but honestly I think the server was embarrassed when he put the plate in front of me. All I would ask is that there is at least 50% more actual food on the plate. I'll definitely think twice before returning. Three stars for decor and waiting staff.

I went to the Willow to meet up for a business networking lunch. Firstly, the service was very prompt and friendly. I had the steak club and the steak was cooked exactly how i asked it to be. Unfortunately, the person who i went there with did have the same experience. Her sandwhich had not been cooked properly and ended up leaving a large proportion of it. Needless to say, we enjoyed our time there and would certainly go again.

Disappointed. Scallops and chorizo starter at £11.95 with a completely unseasoned tasteless puree. 2 absolutely tiny Scallops. I realise they are expensive but for the price I feel several more would still give a good profit for them or a couple of decent sized ones. Absolutely no way could I recommend this dish. Not what I would expect from Paragon group or charge £5 for it. Monkfish main course didn't seem like Monkfish which we eat quite regularly. Strange texture and flavour, more like haddock!! Shoulder of lamb very tasty with a good sauce. Service friendly.

We visited here for breakfast whilst shopping for Christmas gifts at Trentham. The waitress we had was very nice and attentive, we ordered hot chocolate, 2x Cafe latte, lemonade, 2x bacon sandwich, 2x oatcake, full English then a further two seasoned coffees and lemonade and the bill was $63.50! What! How do they come up with these prices???? The oatcakes were pan fried came out crispy and burnt, I sent them back and asked them to be redone just in the microwave as it was for a 4 yo. Why would it be fried off the kids menu they want something soft to eat. The rest of the food was tasty but ridiculously over priced, if I lived in the area I would not return.
