I went here for lunch on a family member's birthday. The lunchtime specials were excellent. A good range of options. All the food was of a very high standard. Good quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, and presented well. Although I'm not a wine drinker, there appeared to be a good selection of wines on offer. There was also a good range of cocktails and other drinks. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was very good.

Visited on Valentines night and had an easy table booking process, confirmed by SMS. Good start! We got there on time and the staff member showed us to our table. The place was busy as you would expect however it never looked chaotic. Calmness prevailed. Orders for drinks and starters/mains were taken promptly (when we were ready) and we didn't need to wait too long for the starters. Scallops and whitebait, really nice. I ordered the sardines and my wife the hake. We both really enjoyed the presentation and taste. Finally desert - I had the fudge cake and the wife the vanilla cheesecake. Perhaps could have done with a small pot of cream each on these dishes but they were delicious nonetheless. The bill was presented on silver tray with a rose. Nice touch. All in all, a very enjoyable evening, unrushed and great food. Well done and compliments to the Chef.

A lovely peaceful night with a divine dinner experience in this restaurant. My favorite was the grilled salmon dish with a light edgy flavor mix and a perfect texture that just melts into your mouth. I’ve also tried the Spanish paella dish that was nice but I wouldn’t say it’s their signature. The cherry on top for the day was the heavenly baked vanilla cheesecake 😋

Great Food and Excellent Service I went there for my friends Birthday. The service was excellent and the staff greeted us warmly. The food was delicious. We ate fried calamari and chicken stair fried. I recommend it highly. The drinks were fantastic and beautifully served. Overall would recommend and will come back in the future. We came here on Saturday for a hen party, there were over 30 of us and I cannot fault the service we received. The staff were brilliantly accommodating and they really went above and beyond for us all. Food was brought out piping hot and all at the same time (which I know can be difficult for a large party) Food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The outdoor area was lovely to sit out and exceptionally clean throughout. I will definitely be booking again. Thank you to the amazing team for looking after us!

Have to say that we really enjoyed the food at this place. Service with a smile. We had a lovely starter recommended by our server. We then had a regular Rump steak which also had a perfect tender touch. Cannot fault it. They may take a small hint from us. Give the outside a better clean modern look. It needs attention. First visit, Saturday 5pm. No parking at restaurant, but drop off. £1 parking at St David's multi storey across the road, or on street parking on the Marina. Pleasant interior, lovely , accomodating staff & service was reasonably quick, despite the fact that we were a large party. (had to ask for one meal as it had been missed out, which then arrived promptly.) £15 for starter & main - choice excellent & food delicious- everyone cleared their plates. My only issue was no accompanying veg with main, only potatoes. Be a bonus if there was something like peas/ sweetcorn inc in the price.

We happened to pass the restaurant and popped in to see if there was a table available. Despite being open only for a private party, the staff kindly insisted we could come in. I have to share that the price for what was a most amazing and delicately balanced flavoured meal was astounding, as in, very very good value for money, and seriously delicious food. From the table bread which was lovely, and throughout the meal, it was hot, and all cooked just right! We loved the decor (especially the lights) and the fact that we could see the fresh veg. Also the staff were really lovely and accomodating. To finish we had a takeaway coffee, again, it was seriously good. If you're in the area, this is a must visit restaurant...

Went to El Fuego for our staff party. We were given a lovely room upstairs. We were given a choice of the alla carte or set menu. I chose the set menu two courses for 16.50. My chicken starter was lovely and juicy. For main I had a fillet steak 2.50 extra). The steak was tasty but I have had a better fillet elsewhere. However, the mushroom sauce was lovely. All in all a lovely end of term meal.

I believe this is the first venue review I've ever left, but I felt the need to praise the outrageously good food served at El Fuego. The Spanish Prawns with Pil Pil sauce was, possibly, the best food I've eaten after five years in South Wales; even the sautéed potatoes were incredible, and they're just potatoes!!?! Wholly recommend, plus they have a fairly extensive menu to cater for all!

Fresh seafood and friendly service! I was pleasantly surprised as I was scrambling for dinner on my birthday - the beach place gave me wrong information about their opening hours which could have made for a bad birthday but luckily led me to El Fuego, one of the last places to be open. I called with 10 minutes left before closing and contrary to the other resto, they were very welcoming and assured me they would stay open for me. I ended up getting takeout but it was great service while I was waiting, with the servers offering me a drink and a seat. I didn't expect their food to be so delicious, which was very flavourful and super fresh! I went to El Pescador the night after and their seafood wasn't as good and I wished I had gone back to El Fuego. Their potatoes, chef's recommendation, were also excellent (crispy skin and soft centre). There are prettier restaurants but if you're simply looking for amazing food and friendly staff, I would recommend coming here.

Kids had one set menu with meatballs and salmon and one salmon with mash instead of chips (which was extra), mixed grill was absolutely fabulous and Mediterranean chicken was very well presented and cooked to perfection. Came here for lunch today, it was delightful. I was surprised when I walked in by how nice it is. We had the booth which was great. We had brie, calamari, garlic bread and prawn and avocado to start. Whole sea bass and paella for main with lots of sautéed potatos. Everything was cooked really nicely, calamari can so easily come overdone but this was soft inside with a crispy coating. The sea bass was a highlight, again perfectly cooked soft flesh. We came on a Tuesday and they're extending the 50% off deal through September so it was a bargain as well. We will be returning. A very pleasant Mediterranean restaurant, with a lovely menu, plus an exceptional separate fish menu. A good selections of wines also. The welcome and service were both top drawer. Nice to be in an independent ( rather than a chain) restaurant, where nothing was to much trouble. ( young son wanted a bambaccino). It was supplied with no bother whatsoever. Exceptional service and food - we arrived nearly at closing, and at this time dining is only outside due to Covid19. However our waiter sat us at a temp table, took our order and then cleared a lovely table with parasol, produced an ice bucket and candle to make a perfect romantic meal with my girlfriend. I took my wife for lunch today, the waitress was brilliant, the staff are excellent, best service I ever received, relaxing environment. The two course lunch menu was fab and delicious, we had two starters to share, I am an enjoyer of meat meals and my wife is veggie - great choices for us both. Free bottle of water placed by our great waitress when we sat, Welsh beer with my lunch!!! Rump steak cooked deliciously in a tomato sauce. My wife had a bell pepper stuffed with couscous. We had a delicious garlic houmous, by far the best I have ever had. We enjoy Bar 44 tapas in Cowbridge, and now we have a great taste of the med near us in Swansea.
