Very welcoming serving staff which makes all the difference. The young lady had a smile on her face throughout. Salad bar was clean and well stocked. Meal was more than sufficient, large portion size. Prices are reasonable and parking is plentiful.

Nice, informal food and waiter/waitress staff are great. Very popular - but - number of staff to heads seems to leads to slow service. Well slow would be good, glacial would be accurate. Service is slow but you can’t blame waitress, maybe we were a bit unlucky, but in our case service was super slow.

Good service from the moment I entered the restaurant and was seated. Manager and staff were brilliant. Salad buffet was freshly filled up and delicious. Our meal was promptly brought to the table and beautifully cooked and displayed on its plate. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

We have eaten at the harvester since its renovation on 2 separate occasions. Both times the food and service was brilliant and of a good standard. Unfortunately we happened to be sat at the same table both times, and on both visits there were 3 or 4 large flies buzzing around the table which were annoying and spoilt the visit as we were trying to swat them, and shoo them away from our food/drinks. They only seemed to be around our table and didn't seem bothered about anyone else near us. Other than that, it was enjoyable and as long as I'm sat elsewhere in the restaurant I would happily return and eat again.

We hadn’t visited Harvester in a long while as previously we thought it was overpriced and the food always seemed very over cooked. However, our visit on Friday was outstanding. Loved the additional menus, we all had the 3 courses, plenty of options and food was outstanding. Couldn’t fault anything. We will be back 10/10

Place is clean, inviting and nice decor. Staff were attentive. What let it down was the food on this occasion. We had the flatbread milk chicken which was absolutely bland and what looked like breaded chicken was some weird mush in breadcrumbs. However the couple sat near by had a full meal and they did say their meal was tasty. You can have a salad and are given a salad bowl as part of any meal

Easy to book online, I booked the day before so it was short notice. We were shown to our table on time and received good service from the staff. The surroundings were pleasant and we did not have to wait long for our food which was nicely presented and cooked. A very disappointing experience. The restaurant has been revamped and it looks good. But it could have done with a good vacuum on the carpeted areas. The service was good, but the food was disappointing. The salad bar was lovely, as always, the starters delicious, but the main courses left a lot to be desired. In fact, they were literally left on the plate. We did complain and one was removed from the bill. The other came home to our very grateful dogs!

Disappointing evening. Ordered Gammon steak with egg,no pinapple, so two eggs were plated,when the meal came to the table the eggs were like bullets, so I asked for it to be put right, when it arrived at table for second time 1egg was lovely the second egg was like a bullet. When i to asked to speak to the manager he was surprised that I expected a properly cooked egg, as he likes his like a bullet, not once did he say sorry during the whole conversation. He did take the drinks off the bill, would have been better if the meal had been cooked properly the first time. Very busy, staff run off their feet. Would have had dessert but didn't want another disappointment. Would think twice about going there again. Seems that only good reviews get replies. 🤔

What I assumed was the Manager took good care of our party of 4 adults and 5 children. The serving staff were attentive and even though one was a trainee, she was very good and made sure we wanted for nothing.

Our first visit. Very friendly and welcoming staff, a real asset to your establishment. It was busy but it's a large restaurant and the seating is all well spaced out and so we felt comfortable and it didn't ever feel crowded. Food was excellent, hot, tasty, well seasoned and very nicely presented. I preferred being served at the salad bar and had read the notice about that, but not all customers seemed to have done. The salad bar wasn't always manned though (we were sat close to it on table 6), which left people either hanging about or starting to serve themselves. Would help if more of an eye was kept on that particular area. Toilets were very clean and tidy and nice to have spacious cubicles. We were very impressed with our first visit and will definitely be returning on our future visits to the Gower. Particular mention for our server Bev who was lovely.

The positives:The service was very good, although it was busy. The order qas all correct and most of the food was lovely. It was very busy so I’m glad I booked but I dined alone this day and was made to feel very welcome, had a good spot by a window and the service was fantastic. The best costumer service you could get! Sammie served us and she’s brilliant at her job. Always got a smile and makes you laugh. Great restaurants chain, plenty of choice on the menu from starters to mains and deserts, as well as a free salad bar included with any main meal. Harvester even supply their own range of sauces and I was that impressed I brought two of them to take away with me, two big bottles for £6 :) We didn't have a starter or a pudding, just the main meal and salad bar, with a refill soft drink which you get yourself from the drinks machine that offers a variety of different drinks and flavours ie Pepsi Max with vanilla or cherry, lemonade with lime or strawberry. I had the burger with pulled pork which comes with a little pot of coleslaw and fries, as you can see in the photo. The waitress was very friendly and polite, the food was cooked to perfection, the restaurant was clean and tidy and the meal was good value for money.

Table wasn't great it rocked a little, didn't really like the area we were seated but it was acceptable due to how busy it was, took 10 - 15 minutes before our waitress came to our table, she did apologise for the wait and promptly took our order for food and drink, food arrived my order and my daughters order was ok, my partners meal was poor in relation to its cost. And wasn't really appealing, she ordered simply chicken, a scrawny small piece of chicken breast that was fit for a child. But defiantly not an adult. The gravy was like coloured water, tasteless and thin, jkt and veg were acceptable. But was not defiantly not worth the price associated with it. My daughter had a dessert which she enjoyed. Our waitress cerys did a good job considering how busy she was. But my partner stated that we would not return in a hurry. The salad bar is always the highlight I can't say that I like having a chef plate my salad, as he can only serve one person at a time and if its busy customers will have to wait while he does his best to serve ra h customer.

All round excellence that's all I can say. Easy to book online. Arrived a bit early but seated straight away at a table obviously just cleaned and sanitised. Visited last night, 2 adults and a child. Servers were very friendly and helpful but very slow to take your order but this I think was because there just wasn’t enough of them. Food was lovely and tasty apart from the garlic bread which was awful, we paid £4.99 for two dry inedible chunks of bread, when we asked the server if this was how it should be she said that they couldn’t get hold of the garlic butter that should accompany it, personally I feel that they should not be sending it out without the garlic butter and expected the £4.99 refunded but it wasn’t. Overall it was a lovely meal.

Food generally pretty good although it loses a star as the half chicken must have been a bantam, and a small one at that! Luckily I ordered the Triple Combo or I would have been really hungry after. Also disappointing was the fact that you can no longer help yourself at the salad bar. Irritating, as the salad bar was a main reason for choosing to dine there. No English mustard available, only French. Eton Mess and treacle pud were both good but I doubt we'll be going back there in a hurry.

Standard Harvester experience. The food was good, but not excellent. But then the prices are not high, so you're getting value. The thing that sets each Harvester apart is usually the service and the venue. The service this time was friendly, if a bit forced. Typical weekend staff feeling. Nothing bad about it, just nothing special or particularly genuine either. The only real downside is the venue. It is showing signs of wear in the bar, restaurant, and toilets. Not as clean as other Harvesters. They did provide packs for the kids which contained a lot of puzzles and colouring in, so to be fair, that and the salad is what makes this a go-to for families who want an affordable and relatively healthy meal out. But I'd probably chose another local Harvester over this one in future.

Harvester had gone really expensive. I had a Kean steak salad dish which was nearly £13 . just steak and salad. And my sons meal was over £22 for ribs and chicken. How can families afford to go here. Haven't been for about 2years . prices have really shot up. My son asked for some sauce and the girl brought us the kicking garlic one that had split. Yuk. Having then said to her about it she said it was normal for it to do that . I've never seen a sauce do that unless its really out of date🤢 will have to save up for the next visit

The food was nice but part of the meal was a portion of rotisserie chicken but unfortunately the chicken wasn't cooked properly, perhaps this was a one off mistake. I found it to be quite expensive as did the rest of the 20 people in my party. The salad was delicious though. The drinks were also expensive. I am unsure if I will go there again. The service was fantastic and the waitress was new and did a superb job dealing with a party of 20 and she made absolutely no mistakes, top marks for the service.

Breakfast for 4 adults 2 children, ten o clock Sunday morning, bit of a lukewarm reception at first but waitress was pleasant enough. Menu takes some studying if you're not a regular customer. Had to book a table due to covid restrictions, managed to get in late evening. No check backs and ages waiting for server to come back after food is finished, so instead of having dessert its waiting at the till to pay for the bill. The negatives of our visit were undercooked precooked sausages, they were raw in the middle, the waitress was quite quick and forceful with her response - they are precooked and don't worry you won't be unwell - not the answer I was expecting to say the least. Also the menu should clearly state that mushrooms and tomatoes were dry fried or grilled as I did think they would be in a type of sauce/juice.

Not a bad restaurant at all, the food is good quality, service is quick and pleasant and less than ten pounds a head. The place was clean and tidy, meals come with a help yourself salad bar and soft drinks are unlimited. Restaurant has five disabled and three parent and child parking bays, meet standard markings and located outside the entrance door. There is a high step to get to the restaurant door (there is sign-posted alternative at the end of the car park for wheelchair users). Requires two manually operated doors to get into the restaurant, a lot of the seating is static and unsuitable for wheelchair users, and half the restaurant is not easily accessible including seating encroaching into the aisle-ways.

Decent enough place, clean and tidy. If you're going there before noon for a coffee or to meet people the service is very patchy as they have a skeleton crew. Plus your just sent off to the breakfast buffet to get a hot drink. Sadly we found no cups, milk or tea spoons. Convenient location but not a place to just grab a morning drink. It's definitely geared for meals. Perhaps try one of the cafes in Gowerton instead such as nomad or station 86.

For years, Harvester used to be our "go to" place, good food at reasonable price. Sadly our recent visits have been disappointing; a new menu combining smaller portions and price rises. Whilst the staff are great, we have had to return food on last two occasions due to being inedible. Both were fish dishes, which may be relevant. This visit was much better however, we stuck to tried and tested grills; but it has not fully dispelled my misgivings from previous visits, hence 3 stars.

Lovely friendly staff. Built, in what looks like, an old farm house. As you enter bar to the right with tables and chairs (mens loos also) to the left is the buffet and dining area (ladies and separate unisex baby changing facilities also to the left). As you pass the buffet you can look through and see the staff cooking. Parking is plentiful but only 3 designated family parking areas and there is also designated disabled parking both are just at the main entrance. Also an outside eating area which covers a reasonable amount of area and a small dinning decking area also. They've introduced the ability to pre book and pay for your meal via the Harvester app we tried it out and it works pretty quick so if you finding your 2hrs of eating has turned into we gotta go now.... This is the quickest method to clear your bill. Staff are infomed on their computer immediately apparently the table lights green for paid (on the screen not the actual table lol) We've been coming specifically to this Harvester for 5 years now and there is a choice of at least 3 in the area.

We had to move table due to overpowering cheap aftershave smells wafting from the thick-necked bloke sat behind us. The soup was a curious blobby mix tasting of smoke and parsnips, enhanced by the addition of quite tasty croutons. The fries on the main course were hard and scrawny but the ribs "delectable". A decent size piece of salmon was mounted on a grey, thick-skinned lump of school grade mash as part of the other main. This is, at best, a rather average experience of boxing day feasting. Its cheap, its easy and the most important thing.....no washing up! I will be returning but yet I hope next time i'm here they will up their game.

Visited here with my 19yr old son about 6. 45 pm.The place was extremely busy but the manager led us to a table within a couple of minutes of arriving and our order was taken promptly by a very pleasent waitress (Caitling) and we did not have to wait long to be served.The food was first class and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.All in all a very pleasent visit,highly recommended.
