Only been here twice but both times, lovely food! Large chips was enough for three people and cooked beautifully, a real bugbear of mine is undercooked chips but they were perfect! Fish was cooked fresh and was beautiful and the curry sauce was just lush! The only annoying thing is that they don't deliver :(

I called here for the first time in many years and had the usual warm welcome, from this excellent fish and chip shop the food was lovely. A reminder that I should call more often when I am passing through this area. Service is fast and efficient and the staff are friendly and helpful. Henry Fish Bar is located on the main road through the village. There is on road parking and is within easy walking distance of a bus stop. It is very easy to highly recommended this poplar fish and chip shop.

First time to use The Hendy fish bar.ordered by phone early evening for meal for two at 6.30.The freshly cooked fish and chips was ready for collection promptly Jan's beautifully boxed.The meal was delicious and we will definitely return in near future.

The chips here are the best i've tasted since Howard and Margaret run the chippy in Cross Hands over 40 yrs ago.(some of you may remember😉👌) I was only a small kid then but the chips were so good they stand out from all others.. There was a distinctive taste to the chips which was so delicious!! It must have been some secret recipe of oil blend or something?? But you very very rarely find that taste! I had chips in a place in glasgow about 10 yrs ago which had the same distinctive taste and now in this chippy in Hendy👍. I had a large chips which would probably gave been enough to feed the whole family. Massive portion of the best chips ever. I also had Rissole which tasted proper homemade and delicious. This was my first encounter at Hemingway's but it definitely won't be the last. My first impression. This is the best chippy in the area!!! . A good old proper, traditional Fish and Chip Shop. I can't recommend enough and cant wait for my next meal from there👌 Spot on!! Thank you.

The new couple at this fish and chip shop are very nice people who have completely refurbished the shop to good effect. Good size portion of chips... a large chips is enough for two people. A good experience and will certainly be going back there. PossumPete

Two large cod and chips packed in cardboard boxes, service excellent, 15 minutes drive home the cardboard boxes had kept everything hot, so happy about that, food was also excellent, will be making this chip shop my regular stop on the way home from work, keep up the good work guys, one very happy customer. 👍👍👍 …
