Traditional gastro pub inside, spacious but dated decor, food is good and reasonably priced. Outside area is really nice and worth going there for.... Large playground and ample tables outside with beautiful view of the Marsh and estuary with sunsets galore.

Having owned a caravan on the site for the last 2 years, I've tried Sunday dinners all around the gower. Hands down the Sunday roast at the purple badger is the best in the west. Opted for the mixed meat roast . Plenty of each of meat (turkey,beef and pork). Home made Yorkshire, wide variety of vegetables. Taste like a home cooked dinner. 5 star food , 5 star staff , 5 star service and a great atmosphere . Cannot fault it

We went in November so it was pretty much dead. Most of our pub grub was decent, although the steak was a bit chewy. Nice pool table, friendly staff.

Service was slow because it was so busy but well worth the wait. The Sunday lunch was plentiful and excellent. Would certainly recommend this place and it's Sunday lunch.

Extremely friendly and smiling staff. Decent food and good food. At The time of our travel we were the only one there and were pampered by the staff. Will advise all travelers to take a pit stop at this place.

Come on Purple Badger ! Pay for your drinks at this till and then queue again at another till to pay for your food. Nonsense. Bar staff are very pleasant, but young and a little inexperienced. Every time we come here they change something, and not always for the better. It’s a nice place. Keep it simple for heavens sake.

Normally excellent. But a recent lay off of staff seems to have left service wanting. When the food eventually arrives its excellent, but a few basics like having tea and coffee available would make the difference between 3 and 5 stars. Its a shame. Simple things have slid away from them and it really does affect the end quality.

Leaving a 3 star review as the staff seemed young but did their best to attend to our needs and were very friendly. Main issue was the food, was not bad but was not great, tasted fairly bland (this was the beef Madras, burger and scampi). Pool table could also been kept under better condition, no white ball and took a while before we could get another coloured ball,but to be fair they did offer a refund in the pound spent

Had a lovely meal here today 13/06/21 with husband and 91yr old Mother-in-law. Quick service, quick drink delivery, quick order taken for meals quick delivery of meals ,with a smile (under the mask of course). Wonderful inside and out in the beautiful North Gower countryside. Reasonable prices...well worth the money; copious amounts of food. Couldn't fault them and will certainly come again. NB. All COVID precautions suitably taken at all times.

It's okay. Not really much I can do to elaborate. Selection of drinks is okay. Food is okay. Food variety not so much, however. There's a little park which is handy for keeping the kids occupied, with the option of sitting outside. It's on the grounds of a caravan park, but I know nothing of that side of the establishment.

Great location overlooking the estuary and Gower. Staff are friendly and premises is covid secure. Food is very average and pricey for what you get. I had the basket meal of fish and chips and I swear the fish was from Iceland. It was a small portion, contained very little fish and was very much cheap frozen food! I would expect fresh fish battered and cooked on the premises like you'd get in a fish and chip shop for £6.95. It's not difficult and it would improve your customer satisfaction ten-fold. I doubt I'll be coming back for food anytime soon. Shame, because it has lots of promise.

Myself and my daughter attended the Purple Badger this evening for the first time. we were greeted with very welcoming and friendly staff and the quirky deco was magnificent. we had starters, mains and desserts. we were extremely pleased with the food we ordered which was rich in taste and satisfied us without any room to spare. we would highly recommend it and will be going there again in the future. Note :- George and Lydia whom served us were lovely and an assest to the venue.

In the middle of doing my drinks order, the server poured a glass of wine and gave it to a staff member then completed my order and charged me for the glass of wine. I would not have normally noticed except this was our second round and should have been cheaper than the first. I pointed this out and the server tried to tell me that a lime soda was more expensive than a glass of wine.

Went here for Sunday Lunch to The Purple Badger, which is the name of the restaurant on the park. Was pleasantly surprised to have a very good meal. In fact, it was probably one of the best Sunday lunches I've had in Swansea. Good selection of food and even gave us alternative choices for the children which were not on the menu. Food was all nicely cooked, very tasty and well presented. Service was excellent, staff very friendly and the restaurant is modern, nicely decorated and very clean.

Attended the craft fair, petting zoo, family fun day today, with live music. There were hundreds of people there! There was so much to entertain the kids, with staff dressing up, too. A climbing wall, nerf area, bouncy castles, petting zoo, stalls, ice-cream van, drinks and hotdog stalls and stage for live music. There's a swimming pool, bar, kids park and lots more to do. I don't think they expected as many people to turn up, because the parking was a bit unorganized, but the boss was whizzing around in a golf buggy, to direct people to parking spaces. Could do with more screens in the bar for sporting events. Soft drinks were a bit expensive, too.

I arrived at a very busy time due to a local tournament so I was surprised at how quickly I was seated. I had the beef madras curry which had beautifully tender pieces of beef, it could have been slightly spicier for a madras but I really enjoyed the meal nonetheless.
