Wonderful fish and chips and fantastic location where just over the road you can sit by the water and watch the sunset. They are very efficient in the shop, taking orders and payment on arrival and giving order numbers so it's quick and streamlined despite being very (unsurprisingly) popular. There's a big free car park with bins and recycling just over the road as well.

Great Fish and Chip shop, fish fresh and cooked to perfection. Chips plentiful and very nice, nice curry sauce (Irish ?) Spicy as I like it. Server (owner) very attentive, service with a smile). If your looking for a good chippy you won't do better in the area.

Twice we've holidayed locally and picked up dinner from here. Lovely fish and chips, great selection of sides/extras. We did have to wait a little but considering the size of our order and there being no option to pre order, this is to be expected. Free parking just across the road. Can't fault it, would definitely recommend

Really nice chippy, worth a visit if you're in the area. Had chips and gravy, and the gravy was like it is up north which is always a bonus. Daughter had a fish which she said was lovely. Our friends ate there twice during our week long visit and they really enjoyed their meals too.

Called into the Roma fish bar, on the way back from a stroll down Gower! And decided to pop in and grab small cod and chips. Fish was cooked fresh, chips where very tasty too. This place gets traditional fish and chips just right!

Friendly efficient staff and nice choice of pies, battered and un-battered sausages plus cod. Only small suggestion would be the opportunity to salt and vinegar the fish, and sauce in bottles rather than having to pay for a wasteful plastic container dollop of ketchup. Maybe add 5p to everything on the menu to cover the cost of sauce bottles ? Just a suggestion!

Nipped into The Roma Fish Bar for a bite to eat, we both had a large fish & chips, I can't recommend this little chippie highly enough, what quality food we had, the fish was lovely, batter lovely & crispy & the chips gorgeous, we're already planning our next visit.

Stopped here yesterday 13 - 07 - 22 on the way home and in all fairness there is absolutely zero complaints. The food or service we received was 10/10, my wife had a small fish and chips myself I had a large sausage with chips, both non greasy and extremely tasty and excellent value for money.

Lewis Rees is a chef in his own masterclass. His chips are crisp and orgasm inspiring, his sausage is sizeable and tasteful, and his fish is just out of this world. Give this man a raise and I know he will be inspired to make his cooking easily surpass the likes of Gordon Ramsey and Auguste Gusteau. Thursdays and Fridays are the days to be there. I have been here many times as I'm fairly local and it has been superb. 5 stars. Today, it was awful. I had large fish and normal sized chips. There was a tang with the food. Probably the oil needed changing. I couldn't eat the chips, just ate the fish meat and left the batter. Total waste of money.

We stopped by to grab lunch today and what a fantastic Fish and Chips we enjoyed from the Roma Fish Bar in Penclawdd. Ample parking along the picturesque estuary. A super place to park up and enjoy their delicious chips and our fresh Cod and Plaice were perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and prompt and so well organised during this unpredictable time. It was a perfect summer lunch with cold cans of Coke to finish off a great treat. Highly recommended 👍 Definitely going back .

A frier called Lewis Rees fries his chips to perfection like the michellin star chef he is, he is also pretty based. I gorged myself on the beautiful sausages fit for Gods. Hope that Lewis Rees fella gets a raise. This restaurant is good with: Takeaway food, batter food, cooked ice-cream, price, rissole and liquifies your poo curry. It is a brilliant chip shop in general, could do without the seagulls muggin my chips. PS owner is a beast at cod warzone.

The only place that I know that you can buy cockles in batter. You can sit in your car in the car park across the road and eat them as you watch the Sun set above The Loughor Estuary. Update: I purchased take-home cod & chips there last week. At best I could only describe them as average. Cooking great fish & chips is something that most fish bars fail at. They are certainly not great at the moment. If you want to try Summer cockles in batter then it's worth popping in ... otherwise you may be underwhelmed.

The Roma is down the road from me and it has the BEST fish and chips! It has other choices too like curry sauce, cheese, beans and more. I recommend that you visit it if you ever get to go down to Penclawdd.
