Really so slow today. 40 mins to get my ordered ready. Youngsters seemed so scared to do anything. Once order was ready took in home to find out it was completely wrong. Phoned but no one would answer. I used to live treating my dad to fish and chips from here but I don’t think I’ll bother anymore.

Had to wait 15 minutes for 2 large cod to be cooked which is fine, a bit longer than normal but that's ok. Only to find at home that only 1 cod was large while the other was 2 small fish!! Therefore more batter than you'd normally get with a large cod!! The large cod was very good, not so much the small ones. Why did I have to wait so long for them to be cooked when I didn't even get what I asked for?

Love the fish and chips.. taste amazing and portion sizes are perfect for me. I deliver fish and chips to an elderly couple I care for as the chippy they used to go to they no longer like.. I’ve taken them fish and chips 3 weeks in a row and seems they want to continue :-)

Excellent food and fantastic customer service. I was very impressed to be offered to eat our food in the shop, it was plated on lovely white plates with cutlery and served to us at our table all at no extra charge than if we had taken it away to eat. Excellent value for money, we have now visited several times and will continue to do so.

It's ok, but it could be much better. Tried the fish and chips. It was soaked in oil, which means the frier wasn't hot enough. The oil over powered the taste of the fish which is a shame. The chips were not that good either. However staff was nice and friendly.

I live abroad and hadn’t had fish and chips for two years, so expectations were high! Britz lived well up to that, we had a lovely cod with chips and mushy peas. Very friendly and service minded staff too. Thank you!

A great selection of foods, normal chippy sort of prices, we ordered food for eight of us. It was all cooked fresh and ready in around 15 mins. I personally had the Britz Breakfast that was there largest Breakfast option. It was basically three of every thing, (sausage, bacon, eggs, fried toast) plus baked beans and a hot drink. The down side was I'd have preferred more items rather than more of the same. It could of had mushrooms, black pudding, hash browns etc. Also the sausage were the normal cheap sausage that they use in the battered sausages. Over all I would recommend and we will be using them again.

The fish and chip side is good. .. well presented and wrapped by the spotty youth. OVER PRICED MUCHLY!!! Just paid £14.90 for 2 x cod and chips. I wont be back ... Ever.

The shopping centre has lost some shops and it's banks recently but still has a good array of shops and fast food places. Subway, Domino's pizza and fish and chip shop. Mc Donald's is upstairs and there is a plan to move that downstairs next to the laundrette, key cutting and shoe repair. Dominated by ASDA it has reasonable prices but not such a wide selection now. There is no ATM machine now which is very inconvenient. There is still a post office at present in the newsagents. There is a small Chemist, ASDA and some Hairdressering salons and card shops. There is no shoe or clothes shop other than ASDA so there is limited selection. There is a very good car shop. No Jewellery shop now but there are a few Charity shops which are quite good. Market barrels offer occasional variety. Toilets are available upstairs but there is a lift for anyone that needs it. The upstairs toilets are to be moved down to the ground floor shortly. Outside toilets are mostly closed now. Ample Free parking. There is a public house and the Link centre is nearby. Cinema and bowling alley and other restaurants across the road.

I asked if the haddock came with skin and the nice friendly man said they can remove it if I like. Most places say you have to have it how they want to do it. Batter was was nice and crispy on the outside and softer on the inside.
