SECOND VISIT
09/04/22. Yep, just as good as our first visit. Food was excellent, service also excellent. See you again in 3 weeks, when we return for a third visit to Telford and the International Centre. 😉👍
FIRST VISIT:
27/03/22. Have read some mixed reviews for this venue but I have to say, our experience for evening meals and breakfast were excellent!
My.son and I shared the 12.portion loaded wings and i was really surprised as to how nice they were. We then both had rump steak (medium rare) and cooked.to perfection. The only downside to our meal were the peas (really not very nice) so they just got.pushed to one side.
The following morning, we went in for breakfast and were served by a very jolly Jo and equally strange Sophie, who took our breakfast orders. I had two of everything (I asked for my eggs runny) and I got a perfect plate of food, really, really good (thank you to Ash who cooked for us).
We are going back again in April 2022 (another Gymnastics competition) and so will see how consistent their service is.
K. J.
Super friendly staff, even through the heatwave they were amazing. Had the full English breakfast, didn't disappoint! Clean and well run, what more could you ask for?
J. S.
Working in the area for network rail for a few days and tried the here for breakfast. We all chose the unlimited breakfast and what a feast it was , Gail was always busy making sure everything was running the was it should have and nothing was too much hassle for us ,Even though we just all turned up off the back of a nightshift. We reckoned our server Gail had worked there many years as she just flowed doing her job making the in reality hard work ,Look easy.. The chef kim cooked the food perfectly and everything was piping hot and placed well on the plate. We would certainly recommend the clocktower brewers fayre and will certainly be back before we leave , Very nice relaxing atmosphere.
R. J.
Absolutely fabulous food for price. We had two big stack burgers and the smothered platter and all were cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef and all the staff, lovely friendly warm manner and excellent service. Will recommend to all.
N. C.
Food was great but they hadn't got any coleslaw which was supposed to come with some of the meals so we had to have salad. They also ran out of zinfandel after the first round of drinks. Service was OK as we were a large party. They split the bill so we could maximise the discounts that were available to us. Would definitely come again as the food was so nice.
E. M.
Fantastic breakfast. Cooked really well, fresh to order. Team were all amazing. Chef brought breakfast out he was really friendly and polite and Kim the manager was great. Really welcoming and chatty
I. P.
Excellent service and very accommodating as I ordered a off menu meal. Steak with veg instead of the standard steak menu. Liam the chef even served the Steak sauce and gravy in separate pots for me allowing me to enjoy my meal with my own choice of portions and where I wanted it.
S. B.
The front of house was welcoming and friendly. Our server Lou was friendly very helpful. My husband and I did not feel rushed when choosing our meals and the serving of our food, although slightly delayed was certainly worth the wait. We will certainly be returning and hope that Lou is working when we do.

Well other so many good meals here we thought we would go back and have another meal.
It wasn't the best meal that we have had..
My chips where cold and it seemed like they had been sat on the plate for a bit of time.
The kids had pizza and by the size of the pizza it would of feed two kids in one meal.
The girl that was running the food out to tables seemed really moody when she brought our food to our table.
It also seemed that table service was a bit slow and it was quite quiet when we went.
And they also brought out the adults meals first. Then the kids meals.
From what I have been told and know bout kitchen food being taken out. You always take the kids out to tables first.
D. H.
Stayed at Premier Inn Telford North (highly recommended) The adjoining restaurant where we had our meals was beyond our expectations, excellent food and super courteous and friendly staff, particular shout out to Gail and Kim who served us at breakfast. Excellent food and service 10 out of 10
G.
Not a good visit today. Although staff were friendly and welcoming, food was luke warm and took a long time to arrive. No one came to table to ask if meal was OK. We ate and left.
Decor is very tired, and the upholstery on the chairs was grubby.
Toilets, however,we're very clean.
a. m.
On arrival the barmaid wasn't overly friendly, and we had to ask where we were ordering from etc. Ordered food, came out quite quickly, starter of nachos x2 to split between 5, then a burger x2, mixed grill x2 and a kids sausage and mash, popcorn chicken meal. 3 x refillable drinks and 4 shandy. The meals were lovely, well cooked and empty plates all round, we then Decided to have puddings, x2 chocolate sundaes, Eton mess, crumble and custard and a smores. The puddings were actually disappointing as they were just about melted and the smores was late out so we had had one child a bit grumpy. We didn't complain just paid, but will say it was £127 which was a bit of a shocker. We would go back again but maybe not for puddings. Another lady served for payment and she was quite friendly and welcoming.
L. W.
Brilliant service by gail food hot and plenty of it she needs a pay rise running round that fast to please everyone made my head spin bless her would go again
c. D.
Staff are very friendly saying goodbye when we left and making sure we had everything whilst eating. I got the chicken and pesto pie, this was small portion size but delicious and you can tell it has been made fresh! There is a beer garden to the back and the front and a child's play area outside the back.
a. e.
Come here all the time for breakfast, always hot and taste great. Came here tonight for dinner for my grandads birthday and I was really disappointed in the food quality. 5 out of 6 meals came out basically cold, cold chips, cold chicken, cold mushrooms pretty much cold everything. Only thing that was hot was my pie, daughters child meal was pretty much bin worthy, corn on cob tasted horrible and burger was hard daughter ate none of it. Asked to speak to manager and no one came even after 10/15 minutes of waiting for them to come over. Will not be returning for main meals think I'll stick to just coming for the breakfast
K. B.
2 for the price of 1 very good
C. R.
Attentive service to start with but when it gets busier it is hard to get the attention of the staff. We started off with plenty of time but ended up being late for the theatre by the time we had paid the bill. This is the reason we haven't been for a while and why it will be a while before we return. Shame because it is a nice place.
L. M.
Only my second time in here. It will not be my last had a lovely meal with my grandaughter who goes quite regularly. Staff were lovely food was great.
c. h.
Very nice pub for Dinner staff are very good to serve your orders for food a drink. They are very busy doing there job. YOU will have to waite for your food end drinks to bring to your table. Very nice in deed.will be coming back for Sunday Dinner.
S. R.
Restricted menu for our visit but really appreciated all the same. Reasonably good vegan selection. Very helpful staff.
R. J.
Nice place friendly staff. Disappointed that they didn't have any gammon as this features on the dishes we had wanted to order. We will come back however.
T. M.
Came here for a sunday lunch, was going to order normal menu cos i heard bad reports about the carvery. But it all looked good so i took a chance, the young lad who was behind the carvery really looked after me when i said i wasnt having veg i couldnt have asked for more.Glad i didnt listen to others as i couldnt fault it really tasty struggled to finish it i will be back thank you
T. S.
Lovely lad on the bar so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Good food good service.
J. B.
Friendly staff lacklustre food. Get the feeling like so many places they are short handed. Probably the sadest plate of nachos ever.
M. K.
Decent food, really good meal deal through the week. Nice and friendly staff.
D. F.
Nice evening staff, good to have 1-2 beers, but not more than that.
Breakfast is very poor, very slow service, not worth money.
j. b.
Food was Mediocre at best. Atmosphere.... What atmosphere.
The staff were friendly though.
J. S.
The staff were very pleasant and welcoming on arrival, all were wearing masks, plenty of hand sanitizers around. We hadn't booked but they had space for us on a Saturday Lunchtime. The food arrived promptly, it was very nice and cooked how we like it, we had steak and a mixed platter. Pudding was Churro banana sundae. Overall cost including drinks for 2 of us was just short of £40. Can't complain, decent price, good was good, if you expect to come in and get fancy food for cheaper prices you're very mistaken. Cheap and cheerful and a nice atmosphere as plenty of couples and families in for food. Would go back.
d. J.
If you want vegetables on a monday dont go as they dont have new delivery till Tuesdays . Otherwise the meals we had were good
T. B.
I booked a table knowing the rules and regulations as not knowing that I work here but having a day off I was still a customer . So having a table sorted over Half term well what can I say Matt , Andy and Scott , had gave me the best customer service I could possibly asked for and just being cared for felt more welcoming and safe , for me to be able to sit down and enjoy my meal .
I am really happy with everything even though it was busy , so I’d just like to say Thanks for the service guys .
I would also like to mention the kitchen team for the excellent food that they produce it was perfect .
I will be returning and I would definitely would recommend coming to the Clocktower to others .
The remaining of the staff was still smiling and also polite and friendly .
S. T.
Excellent carvery. Good variety of food. Will definitely return
D. H.
Great little place, good food, friendly staff and plenty of parking. Not far from the town center, good place for families.
K. A.
I went here a week ago for the first time and for cheap pub grub it was lovely. All 3 of us were happy with our meals and it came out quickly and it was hot. It was clean and the staff was friendly, I'll be back again. Thank you.
A. H.
Surprisingly spacious building with a cosy feel, very reasonably priced and a decent selection of food.
Not the best quality but you get what you pay for. Kids were happy when they'd had some of mine as well as all of their own,. Children's meals are very small and our food wasn't hot, considering we were the only people in (as we were dining early) we expected the food to at least be warm.
Also, lots of items on the menu were unavailable, they actually handed us a long list of things we were unable to order and then said other items weren't available when we tried to order them which weren't even on the list.
M. T.
Nice and relaxing family meal, good food great service friendly atmosphere.xx
P. s.
Clock tower should be called goldmine
Been working around the area for a couple of years now and at last found our go to place for myself and colleagues to get something to eat ,food is outstanding great selection of breakfast continental ,cereal ,toast, cooked veggie wish I could give it a even better rating ,I don’t normally write reviews but credit where credit is due and felt everyone should know what they are missing
The staff can’t do enough for you ,I was amazed at how many use this place on a regular basis the one lady who never stops still (Gail)happy birthday the other keep smiling and laughing (Jo)and the one in the kitchen well done (Kim)and pat yourself on the back !!!!!
food arrives piping hot and quick which is brilliant for us as we have a limited break time the whole site is now raving on about this little gold mine we have found ,we now have returned half a dozen times over the last couple of weeks and will keep retu

We came here for breakfast, was good service and nice food
K. K.
Carvery was very tasty, 4 adults and 2 kids and came to £51 so great value! staff were all lovely friendly and helpful!
K. V. J.
Has definitely improved since before the 1st lockdown, we always avoided here due to how bad it was but now with new staff, it's like a new restaurant. Good food, plenty of seating (it's huge!) Outdoor seating, bar and the menu is of a good range. Monday to Friday 12 till 6 they offer to mains for £9, absolute bargain, that's what keeps us coming back as the food is really nice and good sized portions. Includes a bar so decent selection of drinks. Worth a visit and a definite recommendation 👍Update, still as above December 2021!
T.
Again, a very good service this week. Although it was fairly busy, we found a table straight away without booking. Staff were friendly. The food again, was tasty and for the cost, it was worth it. Definitely go again and would 100% recommend eating here if you haven't experienced it before :)
C. W.
The food was really lovely, however the service was woeful. Staff were badly trained and unprofessional. A real shame.
C. B.
Went for lunch, forgot it was half term therefore very busy, did get a table but had a long wait for meal. Staff friendly, meal was good luckily went for latte so had free top ups which we helped ourselves to while waiting for main.
K. P.
Great Breakfast,
Great service.
We were made very welcome and it was lovely when saying it was my in law birthday they brought out a card, was a really nice touch.
Staff were lovely and will definitely be returning.
M. S.
Would like to say a big thank you to Kenton for his support this evening, it was really appreciated and made a difference.
D. R.
Nice food and friendly staff. Not to long to wait for food and the bar man brought my beer over to our table as was bit lively and was waiting for it to settle before topping up
G. C.
I am not a fan of brewers fayre at all iv never been to one that I like but this one surprised me. I though that the food was pretty good and the prices not to bad really. We have a evening meal and we had the all you can eat breakfast in the morning which was really good with a great selection.
R. G.
Brilliant breakfast buffet! Would recommend to anyone
C. S.
Service was slow 🐌 but food was good even tho steak sauces come out 10 minutes after meal
s. s.
Not bad! Not been here for 5 years plus! Yorkshire pudding bit of a disappointment:(
J. L.
A lovely dinner. There was a nice atmosphere, the food was perfectly cooked and it tasted superb. All around a superb experience! Highly recommended

Went for breakfast with my partner and best friend and her daughter's. Very friendly staff, felt very welcomed. Breakfast was amazing and very good value. Will definitely be returning very soon.
B. L.
Called for a quick tea. Service very good. Food very tasty and well presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. For a quick meal not a celebration occasion you cannot go wrong with the Clock Tower. Never had a bad meal..
a. r.
Food was ok problem was there was no staff organisation lot of staff not a lot going on
S. B.
Food service was fast and staff really friendly
F. S.
Great pub good food and lovely staff
R. J.
Our meal tonight was so good. The chicken was cooked to perfection and so delicious. Exactly what you would expect for the prices you pay.If only there hadn't been a "karen" sat by us berating the staff for her obvious delusions of grandure. To the staff that were working tonight your service was greatly appreciated, fast, efficient and friendly.please don't listen to the "karens"
C. M.
Over priced food.
Good quality but portion size did no reflect price.
Didn't stay long after eating as the rest of my party needed to go tesco to have more food as they were still hungry.
P. A.
You pay for what you get. Everything tasted good, and service was VERY quick! Very impressive! Great as a place to take the family to if you have a limited budget
J. B.
We were a bit disappointed that there aren't any 'smaller options' on the lunchtime menu as we would have liked, but the meals we chose were good. Nice and hot and came quickly. Table service was good, and the staff keeping good distances and seating tables apart well. Over all a good trip.
J. E. n. T.
This pub used to be lovely child friendly pub with a soft play area at the back where you would pay for the children to have fun watched over by staff. Doors were locked so safety was great. Meant you could enjoy a meal together or with friends knowing the children were well looked after whilst having fun. You could also watch them on a monitor above.
Now you go in and if you have children you are seated right in the back of the building. No child entertainment except 2 grab machines which cost a pound. The meals are superb for the adults. My son only took me in there for a drink with my grandson. Staff were nowhere to be seen once you were seated and not eating. Barman was always behind the bar. (I think he was the owner). Its wheelchair friendly with parking and toilets but chairs need moving when it comes to the table, like in any place really. Lovely cold beer.
b. d.
Came for a friend baby party
I ordered the 12oz steak (rump) it was beautiful cooked , my daughter had a kids chicken meal she loved it look forward to eating her again
Staff very friendly and helpful
Also very clean and good atmosphere x
C. W.
A great experience, was looked after well by Sian and the food was lovely!
F. T.
Can be quite costly but very nice place to eat at otherwise, good selection of food. Disappointed about the hot drinks which you have to make yourself now, not as nice as they were when the staff made them.
A. “. r. D.
Food was pretty nice
Initially the staff were helpful getting us to the table etc...
When leaving staff dispursed so they didn't need to ask questions or say goodbye which I actually found awkward and rude.
Such a Shane cos overall it was a better experience than I expected.
M. F.
Brilliant breakfast. Lovely service by Gail. Plus a special mention for Kim the cook, the food was hot and nicely presented. Value for money and friendly service. Will be back
G. G.
Amazing place. Both had Ham ploughman's
D. M.
Very good but had to ask for forgot stuff
D. S.
Haven't been for a number of years now but was pleasantly surprised by the service and the food. No complaints from me on this visit for the unlimited breakfast and will definitely be back to try it again.
R. J.
Thank you so much for tonight, absolutely amazing customer service and brilliant atmosphere.. I had my birthday party there tonight and you guys really made me feel special thank you for my gift and card definitely higly recommended... Food was outstanding well done xx
S. A.
Just had a delicious meal, food was great, well cooked and hot. Really comprehensive menu. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent.
M. K.
Lovely Birthday meal. Fantastic delicious food. Helpful friendly staff especially Lou who went the extra mile. Thanks to you all for a very nice evening.
M. H.
Lovely meal and friendly staff
S. O.
Lovely breakfast despite going in towards end of service. Mike was friendly and accommodating and the staff were great. Nothing was too much trouble and it was great to be welcomed there.
R. W.
07:30am Breakfast - I booked my reservation on-line and received confirmation. Closer to the booking a reminder was also received and accordingly I was expected on arrival. Full Covid restrictions were in place and adhered to. Presently, the Covid situation does not permit self service from the continental bar but whatever was needed will be served. My server today Gail happily attended to my order. Food was supplied quickly and well presented. A full English cooked by Chef Kim was soon to arrive. It was inviting, fresh, and well cooked so much so extras was requested including a second pot of tea - all this at no extra cost being an 'all you can eat' meal. I certainly will be re-visiting this venue.
D.
lovely place, lovely atmosphere, lovely hosts. the price was decent and the food was delicious, 10/10 would come again
R. C.
Food was okay. Prices are slightly higher than expected. Extremely long waiting time considering we only ordered basic meals (waited ages for a kids pudding-doughnuts). We had to go to the bar twice to check they hadn't forgotten us. On the plus side, soft drinks are refillable so the children were happy.
N. P.
As with the majority of places this year booking a table is advised. On arrival, hand sanitizer was available, we were able to log in using the NHS Covid-19 app and were politely shown to our table. The venue has done a great job in socially distancing other diners and the staff are doing a fantastic job under difficult circumstances. We didn't have to wait long before somebody came to the table to take our drinks order and service was friendly and quick. Our food order was taken shortly afterwards and again we didn't have to wait long until it was served. The quality of the food was excellent and great value. Well done to all the staff, it can't be easy operating under the current guidelines. I highly recommend The Clock Tower and look forward to visiting again soon.
H. H.
Really helpful staff and the chef on the carvery was very friendly. My autistic daughter liked him because not many people speak to her when we go out. Clean, cosy and warm atmosphere. The food gets 2 thumbs up as well
D. R.
Pretty good overall, stayed in the attached Premier Inn for 4 nights on business, so ate here for 4 nights. Food was pretty good and standard fayre for the brand. Service on the whole was pretty decent, staff were friendly and approachable. Only 1 night had problems but quickly resolved by staff.
R. W.
Enjoyed the 2 meals for £8.99 and the starter .Unlimited drinks good idea too. However we waited 20 minutes for dessert to arrive so had to ask the manager for them to get them. It was mid afternoon and quiet so there should not have been a delay.
T. S.
3 adults politely seated. Served quickly and politely. 3 different meals all good value.
C. F.
Great breakfast and friendly helpful staff
P. W.
Nice place but expensive 3 small bowls of chips 1pint San Miguel 2 cokes £ 19.95 ...don't think will be going back anytime soon
R. B.
To begin with, at short notice, I called to book a table and this was arranged with no problems. We arrived on time and sat for a few minutes in a nice seating area while looking at food and drink menus. The atmosphere was relaxing to say the least and immediately felt at home in the place. We were soon directed to our table in a snug and cosy room within the restaurant. Table was of a decent size and chairs were comfortable. Our waiter for the evening was a very pleasant young man by the name of Bradley. It turned out to be his first night working there. He took our drink orders and returned promptly with them. The food that we ordered arrived within a reasonable time and out of the 8 of us, there were no complaints. My meal was delicious (smothered chicken). We found Bradley to be a very pleasant, polite young man and felt he did a very good job of seeing that we had everything we needed for the evening. Although we do not reside in the area, we would definitely go out of our way to eat here again if we pass by on our travels. Many thanks for a great evening.
M. M.
Stopped for a quick lunch, not too busy but not empty either. I tried chicken Caesar salad - probably the first time I have had it with tomato. Not classical - but still fresh & tasty. Toilets were clean. I would visit again - especially when I'm working in the area.
D.
The food is better then the regular 'Spoons and is reflected in the price, though it's not unreasonable. Friendly service and a nice clean and large environment. Sadly it wasn't a very buzzing place and the kids outdoor play area was closed (again) due to vandalism, squatters and other anti social antics. If they find a better way to secure it and make it available for guests it would be a great evening for the family.
C. F.
Pub is always clean and tidy. The all you can eat breakfast is brilliant!
Also been here for evening meal, they have themed nights as well as a good menu. Staff are decent and efficient. Good choice at the bar. And the cakes cabinet always draws my attention.
H. C.
We Went For a Meal at Our Local Restaurant in Muxton Telford,The Clock Tower, It's been a Long Time since we had a Meal There Over 15 Months or More, We Booked a Table for 2 And Went on Sunday 25th July as it was our 34th Wedding Anniversary, I had a Wonderful Tasty Carvery and My Husband Had an 8oz Rump Steak with Skin on Chips peas Large Tasty Onion Rings Absolutely Delicious and a Desert Each I had a Stick Toffee Pudding and Custard and My Husband Had a Caramelized Apple Betty and Custard they were also Delicious and We were Absolutely Stuffed with Full Tummys and Walked the10mins Back to Our House on the Wellington Road in Muxton Telford.........I Would Definitely Recommend this Place For a Wonderful Tasty Meal and Drinks and Deserts.
V. C.
My husband and I regularly go for breakfast but also have frequent meals there in the evenings with family members usually on special occasions. It's always very welcoming. The staff are great, especially the breakfast 'dream team'. Food is always lovely.
L. H.
The restaurant is a nice clean place and very helpful staff, however there was a group of 5 of us arrending for our festive meal. A small group from work having a chill out time.
The restaurant was cold we were freeing and kept our jackets on, the starter was great, the turkey dinner OK but not up to standard. Gravy (if any) is very waterer and not enough of it, we had to ask if we could some more as our meal was dry staff happily got it but took around 5 mins! Only one veg on plate which was sprouts, roasts potatoes to hard and so was the Yorkshire pudding. The desert was the best one.
When heading to bar to pay it took over 20 mins to sort it out, apparently we hadn't been put on the system so we could of walked out without paying and they'd never of known! Had to wait for it all to be logged on to system before we could pay. Then charged us all wrong so again had to wait to get refunded money back!
I will return for casual meal but never again for festive meal...
D. L.
Nice breakfast, clean and tidy
S. B.
Good stay, clean and food really good nice to get piping hot food, tasty and staff friendly and helpful, would recommend to other, wasn't busy on my visit..
M. W.
First time but considering having to cope with Covid everything went smoothly. Order taken quickly and food was quick too. Arrived hot and fresh. Server was very polite and professional.
P. S.
The waitress Gail was very welcoming and looked after our breakfast orders in an efficient and very friendly manner. We asked for the name of the chef ( Kim) as the breakfast was delicious.
R. S.
I have been going here for a fair few years now and never had a bad meal. This place offers a warm environment and is family friendly. Staff are well mannered and more than happy to meet the diners needs
w. w.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Couldn't fault the service. The food was good.
E. T.
The 3 stars are for the lovely chips and pleasant staff.
My daughter had the Gammon that was super salty and the plate was literally swimming in grease.
I had Chicken forestierre. The chicken was flavourless and chewy and the mushrooms were slimy and tough.
My son had a kids burger meal which was nice.
The chips and the little family of Robin's outside the window made the visit worthwhile and if I wasn't using a meerkat meals code, I'd probably have complained about the main meals.
j. f.
Been to this pub 3 or 4 times when visiting the area from Scotland. Never had a bad meal, myself or my companions. Nice welcoming staff and management. Prices reasonable ✅
G. B.
Arrived mid afternoon, the food wasn't particularly good and the service was horendous. Actually bought the deserts out whilst we were just starting the main course. Sent them back. They then tried to make us have the same ones again 20 minutes later, had just shoved them in the microwave. Won't be rushing back , standards ar

Breakfast os good, good value for money
T. B.
Lovely food ..Great price and great service..
Thank you kirsty ..top class service
P. B.
Fantastic breakfast menu. The staff Gail and Kim were excellent too and really friendly. We'll done.
S. P.
Go here fairly regularly to meet friends. I'm not a drinker so usually have coffee or the refillable soft drinks. I've eaten here a few times too. The food is what you'd expect from one of these chain pubs. It's not fine dining but it's decent food for a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and it doesn't attract groups of feral youths or angry drunks. There is plenty of seating outside for when it's warmer and there's a hotel next door and a McDonald's and petrol station 2 minute's walk away.

Sunday morning breakfast.
For a family of 4 it’s absolutely a bargain, all the continental you could need, endless hot drinks and cold juices, freshly cooked full English including vegetarian option, what more do you want.
Well worth the visit friendly staff and good food.

We were recommended to go to The Clock Tower Telford by a friend.
We had an excellent breakfast I particularly liked the fact you could choose and it was all cooked by the Chef Kim fresh as much as you wanted all fresh - you had the choice of five juices different coffees, Teas, Cereals and Toast, Crumpets, Bagels, pancakes and much much more and Kids eat Free! The waitress Gail was excellent well done Brewers Fayre we will be back
B. O.
We were a family of 14 in Christmas day 6 of which were children.. The room we were put in was plenty big enough but sadly lacked any kind of Christmas feel apart from a few crackers on the table. As we went through the pub all the other tables were nicely done party hats and even Christmas music.. I feel we were shoved out of the way needless to say we won't be having a family meal here again
p. c.
The food was excellent.😀.. but the toilets near the front of pub was disgusting state. one the door didn't lock, both toilets had NO paper in and one was full to the brim with paper which looked like it like it since lunch time shift . Passed his on to staff who just said "I let manager know" his should have been sorted asap
S. J.
Go here quite often and never have we had a problem. We never have to wait ages for food (normally around 30 minutes), never have to wait ages at the bar, there is a great value refil deal on drinks like pepsi and Robinsons, the food is always really nice and I love the burgers especaially. More times than not, they aren't too generous on the chips where you don't get very many, but overall a very good pub and a great service.
S. C.
Meal was bought out before cutlery, meal was nice though. I got yelled at by staff member because I touched the kids colouring in papers.
J. M.
Staff were under pressure on this visit, they had very little time for us, except for the guy on the carvery. He admitted he was struggling but with a smile and joked with me about it.
Visit made worse by an obnoxious lady on the table next to us, not the fault of the establishment obviously, but unfortunately has put me off completely
S. H.
My friend and l went to the Brewers Fayre clock tower today for breakfast, we were greeted by a lovely lady called Gail who explained everything to us as it was our first time there. The presentation of the food was excellent and tasted even better. Gail even helped my friend and read out the menu for him as he had forgotten his glasses. While our fry up was being cooked we helped our selves to fresh fruit salad yoghurt toast orange juice and a hot drink, there was lots to choose from. Our fry up breakfast was was cooked to perfection, so thank you Gail and Kim the chef for a enjoyable breakfast we will return. 😊.
Well a few weeks have passed and we decided to pay another visit for breakfast 14/06/19 well it was just as good as before gorgeous gorgeous could not fault a thing, again Gail & Kim did the clock tower proud, it was a busy morning but the food came out to other tables very well presented as mine did. This is now one of my favourite places to go for breakfast it's worth giving it a go. 😊
T. H.
Pleasant staff and the food was lovely
G. C.
Good food at a reasonable price. You always know where you stand with this type of place, always the same food, its not exceptional but very edible.
Better value if you sign up for the membership & get points for each visit and offers like free starters or desserts and a free meal on your birthday.
D. E.
I've always had nice food here, a very good price and quick service. Can't fault it
E. J.
Great value, two for £8.99. Curry and burger were both delicious.
A. A.
Strange tale, national shortage of food, profiteroles, hollandaise sauce, sticky toffee pudding, to name but a few, speaking as a chef, they have obviously never heard of making them.
C. B.
Love our Sunday morning breakfast meet up with friends foods great and the staff
j. c.
Wasn't the hottest breakfast but it was OK
J. W.
Amazing breakfast and brilliant staff xx
E. H.
Really lovely food and friendly staff. Good value for money
S. F.
Nice and uncomplicated is how I would describe this place.
A good selection of food and drinks are available. A themed all-you-can-eat buffet is also available through the week, including burgers and hotdogs on a Wednesday, curry on a thursday and fish and chips on a Friday.
Staff are very friendly and attentive, service is quick and efficient. Well recommended.
V. D.
Had a great breakfast here. Good food and good service. Will go again.
Z. D.
Sian and Grace were wonderful, very quick and efficient and was happy to go above and beyond even offering to swap the glass into a mug for my little brother because he was unhappy, will definitely be coming more often
R. E.
Best baked salmon with mash and veg I have had for a long time also my other half had the fish pie which he said was great. Will definitely go again compliments to the chef and staff.
R.
Good food and service did very well considering they were short staffed. Could not fault the food. Everyone in my party enjoyed themselves. Would go again.
C. N.
A pleasant, family friendly environment with good, if somewhat limited, menu. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the quality and price of the food is generally very good. Sometimes very busy, so patience is required, but don't be put off by this.
C. A.
Love this place staff are so friendly and the breakfast is great and lovely 😍
N. S.
It was very good nice staff I will go again. But the beef on the carvery was to rare for me but I would recommend it .... Well I went there to day for breakfast got there at 10.50am and I was not made very welcome so I will not be going back the staff was a bit bitter. But breakfast finish at 11am
H. B.
Lovely food, great service, our server was Alice, nothing was too much trouble to her
Y. E.
Simple breakfast with standard fair. The coffee machine makes mediocre coffee, there is a decent selection of bread an pastries and fruit and juices. The ordered breakfast included fried eggs, ra shers and bangers, some hash browns, and was decent.
g. b. (.
45 minute wait for a table to then be given the table right next to us that was free the whole time. Food was as you'd expect from a chain. Salmon a little over cooked and peas for the gammon left in the pot a little to long. Kids meals the standards. Beer top notch and Pepsi is Pepsi .
G. H.
Didn't tell us help yourself to hot drinks and unlimited refills so sat for 30 minutes waiting for hot drink
M. J.
Big family-friendly place. A couple of vegan options on the menu today. The manager took time to discuss dietary requirements and he advised on menu choices. The kids' play area was closed when we visited.
B. C.
Food was nice, but not worth the price. Same quality in a Wether spoon, slightly bigger portions and almost half the price. I will drive a few miles further for a better price in the future.
s. e.
Great service and good food, staff welcoming and place was clean with great covid guidlines in place. We enjoyed our visit that we visited again a few days later.
A. W.
Good pub food with friendly staff definitely worth a visit
S. M.
Just had a lovely meal. 4 of us had starter & mains off the Daytime value menu. Excellent food excellent value. Staff very friendly & helpful. We will be returning.
J. H.
Visited here on Sunday 3rd February. Ordered carvery. Choice of 3 meats .Turkey beef and Gammon . Gammon was spot on beef was tough .Tomato soup starter was OK .Veg was OK. Roast potatoes were a bit hard .I've often found with carverys a bit hit and miss if you are lucky to be there when the food is put out fresh.Rather than if it's been standing around for a while. All in all 2 courses for £10 ok.
D. M.
Great value, good basic pub grub, fast service nothing fancy
P. O.
Good service and very reasonably priced food. Several members of my group had the buffet option which turned out to be tasty and cheap - no complaints all round.
K. S.
Food was first class, had the 2 for 8.99👍 service was good , will go again
b. k.
Had a lovely meal with the hubby and grandson. Food was well presented and hot. Staff were friendly and provided a good service.
S. B.
Wonderful meal and company. Its a shame we couldn't all sit at the same table.
D. R.
Staff and food were pleasant as always
C. P.
Felt safe not over crowded liked the screening between tables. Good pub food good price. Friendly staff
C. G.
Great breakfast with Santa experience, will return next year for sure
M. A.
Good service very pleasant staff good food. Just that the chairs need a good clean. Maybe a plastic seating covering. We do hold a reunion twice a year there.
C.
I think it's fair to say the Clock Tower is a meadioca place for food. Not amazing and not totally rubbish. The food can be hit and miss on the quality. Most the time the service is fine, although from my experience on Saturday nights, I feel more staff is needed as you are often having to wait between courses and waiting for plates to be cleared.
J. p. M. (.
Great breakfast and service from Gail
E. W.
Friendly, helpful staff, fast service with really short wait time for food even when pretty busy. Decent bar, good wine selection. Not cheap bit worth the money.
S. P.
Fantastic breakfast at very reasonable price. Have been there several times and have never been disappointed by the food or the service which is to say the least "outstanding".
T. W.
Had the carvery which was very nice. They switched to table service a while ago and put the prices up. Back to self service now so not such good value for money as it used to be.
S. W.
You know what you're getting with a brewers fayre
B.
Better than it was, but typical chain food, served by typical disinterested staff. Meh.
J. R.
Took everyone for breakfast before moving house. Set us up for the day lovely food and choice, highly recommend it
A. W. S.
My wife and I have been regular diners here for quite a few years and are always given a very warm welcome. We have never had a bad meal and even at busy times have not had to wait very long.We believe thatin our experience five stars should be awarded .
D. M.
Food came incredibly quickly and was really good. A bit pricy at the weekend but service was great so not too bad. Overall well impressed.
P. D.
Buy one get one free was about the right price
P. F.
Lovely fresh food, bought to the table really quick, presumably as a result of fewer tables but delicious nonetheless, just disappointing the sunday carvery times have been reduced.
i. h.
The food was a absolutely amazing and I had a party of 10, the price was very unexpectedly cheaper but all the quality for food was amazing. U can get unlimited refills for drinks and foods!
C. E.
Lovely meal outside. Great food. And very doggy friendly 🥰
S. R.
Nice meal, unfortunately dessert didn't arrive after 2 chases and 45 mins, had to get refund on puds which was a great shame. They said they were short staffed when I got the refund.
R. H.
Excellent service, good reliable pub grub at a reasonable price. Be prepared for noisy kids early on! The staff are very friendly and helpful.
A. b.
Had a lovely meal and was very well priced, table of 8 all served hot & staff were very welcoming and happy to help throughout the night
D. R.
Food was great and so were the staff. Breakfast cook fresh. Would advise getting here early though to avoid the rush.
S. R.
Typical pub grub, not gourmet but fills a hole! Pretty big menu but could do with some more vegetarian/vegan options. Friendly staff.
A. B.
Not bad food but where we sat was very chilly had to have a meal warmed back up all in all good staff
M. B.
Good honest food served at a good price. Nice surroundings and pleasant staff. All you can eat nights good value with different theme each night.
M. K.
Very helpful and food was quick. Good service from the waitress back and Forth to make sure we where ok
G. H.
Very friendly staff Gail was so helpful
G. G.
Good quality food. Two for £8:99 menu can't be beaten for value. Pleasent staff ,and a cool and unhurried atmosphere.
D. P.
The meal and service e was excellent. Price good too. Highly recommended here for a meal. Covid safe too.
I. E.
Good food & portion size, good service with sttentive staff. I'd go again.
M. H.
Very poor menu, several items on the menu not available and that was at midday opening time.
P. S.
Decent pub grub, if a little pricey. The desserts (not specific to the Clock Tower - all are part of the Brewers Fayre menu) are smashing.
Your sat-nav's postcode search might take you to the wrong place, so be wary of that!
M.
Poor staff. I felt sorry for them. Understaffed at a peak Sunday lunch time. They were rushed so service was slow Food reasonably cooked.
D. K.
Carvery was nice staff happy to help grandaughter loved grab machine
c. l.
Good food friendly staff
A. N.
Friendly atmosphere but a little more pricy than I’d expect. Always have a good meal here
A. J.
Decent options for food and reasonable prices.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the pub has a relaxed and clean environment, worth a try if you're in the area.
M. W.
Environment a little worn. Food okay typical chain pub grub. Similar to such as Wetherspoons but more expensive. Staff lovely though.
D. R.
Lovely food, friendly staff. Bargain with the government 50% offer. Will return again in the future
M. K.
Average chain pub serving usual menu, fine, nothing exceptional, food OK, drinks a bit dear, nice staff will return as you get what you pay for.

Nice pub, good range of food and the staff are welcoming and friendly. There's only one thing that let's this place down, that is the lack of car parking spaces and being no parent and child spaces.
