Reviews of Jenko's Brazilian & Mongolian BBQ
N. C.
Myself and my wife loved a great Mongolian restaurant in Tenerife and as a surprise I took her here for her birthday. We actually travelled all the way from Manchester as there's not a massive number of good Mongolian style BBQ restaurants up this part of the world.
It was worth the trip and we weren't disappointed, great selection of meat, vegetables and also herbs and spices too. The restaurant and general surroundings are nice with friendly staff too.
E. D.
Had a really great night a Jenko's. Select your own fresh meat, veg, spices and sauces and the food is cooked right in front of you on the Mongolian hot plate, really great experience and something quite different to just ordering food which is then brought to the table. It was quite busy but staff were friendly and organised so wait times didn't seem so long! Will definitely be back! Not sure how veggies/vegans would fare as it's all cooked together but they may offer a separate grill in the enclosed kitchen for such dietary requirements.

My family and I went here for a Sunday lunch, and it was absolutely lovely. We were quickly seated, our drinks order taken, and the buffet explained to us.
The food was tasty, with some of the nicest roast potatoes we've ever had in a restaurant. We also ordered puddings which arrived in very generous servings and were absolutely delicious.
All in all, we would definitely go back for another Sunday lunch, and also look forward to trying their everyday menu.
V. C.
Really unique experience with amazing quality Brazilian buffet and decent side orders. Meatballs were a little dry and service was slow. Would recommend however.
T.
Haven't been into Jenko's, however I went to the nature reserve behind the restaurant. Decent sized car park and other spaces close by in the opposite streets. Behind the restaurant there is a nature reserve which is calming with walking trails you can go down and beautiful views, a train track is situated in this nature reserve too! Excellent location for taking photographs. 3/5 stars due to not visiting Jenko's itself. Hopeful to visit soon though.

Amazing place to go for food, great value and I would highly recommend. You do have to stand and wait while your food is cooked but that's part of the fun! I would probably avoid a weekend as it was just over half full and very busy by the food area on a Wednesday but it is definitely worth going and they were offering 2 for 1 on the cocktails!

Ordered a Sunday lunch for delivery. Arrived early. Hot and very tasty. Bearing in mind that you can only do so much in a box, I put that aside and my review is based on the flavour of the contents? 100%😊😋😋😋.
G. L.
What an absolute gem of a place. Well worth a visit if you fancy something different.
D. M.
Great food, great atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
R. C.
What a unique and interesting place to eat. The food was fantastically prepared. I really enjoyed trying the recipes from the wall, some I liked more than others, however the refreshing nature of trying multiple flavours in the same meal really kept our night out interesting, as opposed to having a steak, etc. The atmosphere was fantastic. If I had to say ANYTHING, it would be that the drink service was a little slow. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone.
P. F.
Wow! This is the first time we've been to Jenko's and we were really impressed with the whole experience. The food is amazing, cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The atmosphere is brilliant, friendly staff, quick service with food and drinks, very reasonable prices. We loved it.
M. G.
Amazing first eat-as-much-as-you-like experience at Jenkos this evening. I'll most definitely be coming back. Pick your own veg n meat and watch it being cooked in front of you!😍 10/10 for service and location.
R. W.
Visited a while back. Really nice place for food. You get to pick your raw food and spices and the chefs cook it on a massive hot plate in front of you. Good value for money, will visit again 👍 👏
S. S.
Sunday dinner was pretty good. I probably wouldn't go again in a rush. Very expensive. The layout to go get your Sunday dinner is unorganised. Staff was pretty unhelpful and wasn't very approachable. Please note, the brownie has walnuts in it. Didn't even say on the menu that it contains nuts.
H. E.
A lovely roast dinner with all you can eat of the 'good stuff' (cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, stuffing etc.)
The meat is cut in nice thick slices - none of those see-through slices that you get in other restaurants.
Plenty of choice and it's all topped up regularly.
Friendly and attentive staff.
We've been a few times and it's always a winner.
L. S.
Large selection of ingredients to create your own dish, all cooked in front of you and with a relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend for an evening out.
S.
Absolutely fantastic, great selection of food/spices, great cooks. Drinks are a little too pricey but other than that great all round.
K. F.
Food is delicious and very much worth the wait, especially as you watch it being cooked on the Monglian griddle.
m.
One thing for sure, you defo have to be a meat lover to go here. There were variety of meat but no so much seafood. The only seafood we had were prawns and they didn't go down well. They were seasoned in an odd way that wasn't favourable to the palate.
The staff were nice.
Our bill was incorrect at first as we were overcharged but I pointed this out and they amended it.
Overall, it was a nice place to experience. Not sure I'd go back there again. Maybe on one of their other nights as I think they have different things on different nights.
A. C.
Great food. I've been to a few buffet restaurants and I enjoyed the style of this venue as much as the food. I would recommend it if you come to Telford!
C. S.
Went to a 16th Birthday get together here with all the family. It was brilliant. Food was lovely tasty and hot and the staff were great.
L. P.
Amazing experience and great food
D. I.
Food beautiful, lovely setting. Only issue was there was a waiting time for service . As long as you have the time it's excellent.
U. B.
Really good food and helpful staff
N. F.
We went on Mongolian bbq night, where you pick the meat, veg and spices you want and its cooked in front of you. There can be quite a wait for food if a lot of people go up and once, and I would not recommend it if you have any allergies due to cross contamination, but it was very tasty. My only recommendation is they could add some pre prepared spice mixes.
W. G.
Brilliant service throughout our visit here. Travelled from Shrewsbury after hearing good things from friends. Definitely worth a visit.
Unlimited meat and pick your sides from the menu. It was a special occasion for us and although they were busy the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The entrance was a little hard to find and walked through the pub to get there (which was abit cramped) but otherwise it was a beautiful venue with lots of art and and good atmosphere.
x.
Delicious Sunday lunch. Loads of freshly cooked tasty vegetables to go with your meats. A great selection of home made dessert options too, by far the nicest Sunday lunch carvery locally. Fantastic friendly service and the restaurant is really lovely in the large cabin area.
L. W.
Went for lunch Sunday last week. Food was lovely but price much higher than most places. Price would have been no issue had I been given a decent serving, but sadly was same size as my 4yr old sons despite only opting for no peas. Didn't query it until I left and saw table next to me had a nice proper portion I would expect and asked if there was an option above to have that? But was told I should have had same but staff are new and was sorry.
As I say lovely food but paid twice the price for half the portion. No attempt to rectify after admitting staff were wrong
R. K.
Food was good for a carvery, good selection of well cooked fresh veg. Just felt on the high side for value. If you have the stomach for unlimited gut busting plateful then i guess you get more for your money. I'd like to try their grill night.
B. S.
Visited on 17th September on Brazilian for a romantic evening!
The atmosphere was amazing with attentive and extremely pleasant staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the quality of the food was second to none.
Great value for money with an endless combination of food options.
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and would highly recommend a visit for a great dining experience.
Well done and thank you to all of the Jenkos staff who made our evening so special.
Look forward to visiting again soon.
M. C.
Nice food but seem to have to much salt even when you didn't put salt on your food. Heard the Brazilian nights are better so will still go back for a try. Staff are really friendly. The beer we had was really good. Would give 5 star if it wasn't for the salt.
R. S.
Good food although the Brazilian ran out of several items (all but chicken by the end of the night) when asking for another platter, not enough food was provided on the platter in the first place meant constantly asking for it to be refilled and waiting for that to be cooked. The drinks were very good but it took a long time to receive these, perhaps they were understaffed that particular night. Desserts were also very nice!
M. G.
Fantastic food, all cooked freshly in front of you. Great atmosphere. Prices are reasonable. Service is very good.
Highly recommended, but book a table as it can get very busy. We will most definitely be back!
a.
Would have liked more variety with the side dishes and the drinks. Wasn't keen on the seafood platter too salty. But the atmosphere and decor of the place is lovely.
A. B.
Great place to eat, make it however you want catering for all meat lovers vegetarians and vegans, all you can eat £20 a head. nice wooden lodge eating area, plenty of parking helpful friendly staff text message confirmation of booking
F. I.
I only go on Sundays for the help yourself British carvery. The food is amazing!
You need to book, it's more money, but you won't be disappointed!!
D. P.
Fantastic experience. Great food
G. P.
Nice place lovely staff meal was nice except for the beef it was so tough you could cut it or eat it
J. M.
The food was magnificent. I went with my friend today for a catch up and the food was honestly sublime. The only issue with this place is we were half way through our meal before drinks arrived. Staff are polite and service is good except the drinks services could do with being faster
S.
Best carvery in Telford by far, everything cooked to perfection
G. S.
Brazilian bbq in my opinion its not worth £22 per person. When you pay for a meat plater I would at least expect good meat quality. I was a bit disappointed that chicken was thighs instead of brests part. Sides are very tasty but not worth the money you pay for it. Mongolian bbq is way better and if you want to try something different I would recommend it over Brazilian anytime
M. S.
Great food and great atmosphere. We came at very short notice for our anniversary and the staff made a effort to make the night as special as possible.
100% will be going again and recommend everyone to give them a try!
C. p.
Food was amazing as always... They have gotten rid of all of the cocktails they had a selection of nearly 15 - 20 before to there now 6 which don't look very appealing.luckily the waiter and waitress were fantastic in providing us some sneaky cocktails from the old menu but it was still a surprise. Also being rushed out at the end at 10 to 10 the lady behind the bar shouting at the top of lungs in a very small area was annoying!
A. R.
The food and atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic. Been going for a few years on rare occasions and the decor and food has only got better. Standing in the queue waiting for food takes a while but worth it.
W. S.
Highly recommend this place, the food is all fresh and you watch them cook what you choose. The staff are all lovely and nothing is to much for them. It's a lovely clean place with a great atmosphere
H. S.
Good food, nice vibes but awful seating arrangements.
Sunday carvery at its best in Telford. Very tender and juicy gammon, also the boiled vegetables were fresh when I went for my servings which is epic.
Seating was poorly placed, felt for the super cute little waitress having to negotiate her way around the mess of chairs sticking out.
Nice family vibes with terrible music as standard. Recommended if all or most of the above applies to you.
G. P.
Just amazing food, fantastic staff, eat whatever you can fit on your plate, cook it right in front of you 😋👍
J. R.
Amazing food and service
M. S.
It was really nice food, good cocktails. Everything was fresh and all the spices were really tasty! You could either design your own meal or use the menus on display for inspiration. Think this would make a good date night as its something different from the norm!
Probably not best suited for a bigger table (we had nine). There wasn't much time to socialise really with the whole group as people were all over the restaurant choosing there food, waiting for it to cook and eating it at different times. We kind of split down to go up for our food in smaller groups which was fine, but took a little bit away from the experience for us unfortunately.
R. G.
Absolutely amazing food and great atmosphere and a different experience, the staff here are amazing friendly and great customer focus and that's what made my experience amazing would definitely recommend this place!
V. J.
Really chilled atmosphere with great staff and food!
D. O.
As always, amazing food and perfect service
D. J.
Very enjoyable experience. Good food that you watch being cooked, reasonably priced. Friendly, helpful staff.
J. p. M. (.
Great food, very tasty !!
But a bit on the expensive side !!
J. E.
Great place, luvly tasty food, very relaxed atmosphere, staff very friendly & pleasant can highly reccomend
D. H.
The pub is small and you are always left waiting to be served.
Nice atmosphere and people are always welcoming.
The restaurant is lovely, I understand the system but waiting for food can be a tease as your standing there looking at it being cooked, and you have to go thru it all again next time you want more.
Would definitely recommend
T. l.
Good if you are looking for something different. Food very nice. You get a choice of veg, fish and meats and spices to place in your bowl. You then stand and watch it being cooked. Add your noodles, rice or pasta once done and eh voila!. Puddings were not so good. Overall pleasant experience.
J. D.
Third time we have visited, Sunday lunch and 2 Brazilian bbqs.
Sunday lunch was pre-covid and it tasted delicious so we really had to return.
2nd visit was post-covid and although a different way of eating we really enjoyed the bbq, meats plentiful and sides were tasty.
However, on our 3rd visit I'm sorry to say may be our last visit!!
Very disappointed with the whole experience- food was extremely salty so over seasoned most of us couldn't eat it. Our 1st meat platter was was of poor quality meats, slices of beef that was mainly grizzly fat, pieces of sausages and chicken drumsticks.
I did ask the waitress to mention that the food was way too salty she did say ok. Nothing else was said to us and I felt it wasn't taken seriously.
Due to our negative experience on our 3rd visit I can honestly say I cannot recommend or visit again!
A. C.
Absolutely fantastic. We had a carvery and the food was so tasty. The staff are lovely, couldn't do enough for us. Sorted my veggie requirements out straight away, really chatty and friendly. We'll be back xxx
D. B.
Having read some bad recent reviews, was worried. Shouldn't have been, service, food and atmosphere were brilliant. Party of 4 ate until we nearly exploded! Will be back.
P.
Never been before so wasn't sure what to expect but very nice experience seeing the food cooked infront of you. Great selection of meats to choose from. ALOT of sauces and herbs.
R. T.
Hadn't been in many years and it STILL didn't fail to disappoint, not just great food, an all together great experience. And don't forget to leave room for dessert!
K. W.
Amazing food! Fantastic experience, and a great place for a birthday meal. Highly recommend!
D. L.
Amazing... food was unreal everything cooked to perfection... best garlic mushrooms iv ever tasted beautiful dining area... staff were excellent ... for what we ate and drank was very happy with price without a doubt we will be returning ... excellent ... very impressed .
A. G.
Fantastic Sunday dinner. Something for everyone. You won't ever leave hungry. Always good quality and polite staff.
a. S.
Love this place! We had our wedding here last year, it was very intimate. Everyone was pleasant and the manager was very flexible and accommodating. Food was great especially the dessert. :) would really recommend this place.
M. H.
Excellent food. Best carvery l have ever had. Just need to speed up in the drinks service.
P. L.
Nice place Food looked lovely.but was.a little.cool. Dessert lovely. Only complaint was we had feeling of being rushed has they clear.before some.of us were.still eating. I'm sure. this was.due.too unusual circumstances. Will certainly go again to try the Brazlian. Worth a visit
D. C.
A really different experience , the food was to die for , everything was freshly cooked Infront of us , and there was a lovely welcoming atmosphere , you could easily come for food and then spend the night chatting around the table , would highly recommend
a. k.
Lovely food, and super service. Teally nice atmosphere here
D. E.
Fantastic experience, something different and always wows people whenever I bring thrm there. One of my favourite places to eat!
M. S.
Fantastic Sunday roast buffet really enjoyable thank you
C. B.
Third time back here. Love it. Can get very busy but worth the wait while they cook your chosen food on the massive circular BBQ. Family friendly. Service from staff is pretty good.
J. H.
Food and atmosphere was lovely. Go here at a busy time and expect to stand and wait for your food to be cooked.. which isn't a bad thing because it's quite entertaining to watch. I didn't give this 5 stars because of two instances where I had to wait for food/sauce to be provided. Otherwise, highly recommend.
g. j.
Very friendly staff. Food excellent. Desert a bit pricey.
Love the place. Best food in Telford
C. H.
Love dining here. great price for all you can eat but the quality of the food is very high. The selecting and cooking of food is a great experience too.
A. C.
Great food, great prices, great service. All round a great meal out.
p. z.
Nice place to try.
N. P.
Always amazing food and atmosphere. We were a group of 7 and nothing was too much for them. Awesome night like always
B. M.
Great food, nice ambiance inside the restaurant, staff are pleasant and relaxed!
W. W.
Really nice Sunday carvery didn't break the bank friendly staff very helpful. Food is full self service very much liked this also the food was all hot unlike some Toby carvery's I've been to.
V. W.
Had a brill night with the family, friendly and welcoming staff, amazing food and choices, background music was just perfect..go check this place out....
B. W.
I've eaten here quite a few times, including a family reunion and every time the food was exceptional.
I would definitely recommend either the barbecue or the Sunday roast.
J. G.
Superb food, friendly and helpful service. All in all a brilliant evening
M. B.
Great food, great staff and really comfortable atmosphere
V. H.
Tasty food, service a little slow but staff are friendly.
J. J.
Always enjoy my meal. Lovely food and friendly staff
T. E.
Excellent Sunday brunch... a real all you can eat meat. Nice setting and great service
C. T.
I need to start off by saying the food here is absolutely amazing. I’ve had their normal Mongolian as well as their Sunday lunch. Both are fantastic.
The 2 staff members who man the barbecue are amazing. How they can stand the heat for hours on end is impressive.
The wait staff aren’t as good, at least they haven’t been on the occasions I’ve been there. Had to wait ages for someone to come and take orders, and then another long wait on actually getting the drinks. I need my drink! I usually go way overboard on their delicious spices!!
The price is a little steep, but the food is well worth it. Just wish the wait staff were a bit quicker.
We’ve been before and wanted to tip the 2 lads at the bbq, but were told we can’t do that and instead have to tip the wait staff who will share it amongst the staff. Ended up not tipping as the wait staff weren’t deserving in my, and my parties opinions.
B. L.
amazing dining experience, great food and friendly staff. Definitely recommend to anyone!!
r. j.
This was an amazing meal, fantastic service. I was recommended by a friend and can't thank her enough. This is a lovely venue with brilliant staff and the food is out of this world
P. P.
It's the best Sunday carvery ever. Beautiful food, beautiful surroundings and very friendly staff. I highly recommend a visit.
K. m.
Sunday carvery was nice but it was quite overpriced for what it was. Drinks were very good! The place was lovely and clean but the service could of been better.
K. W.
Nice to construct your own meal then watch it being cooked, nice atmosphere, will definitely eat here again..
R. P.
A great place for food and something very different, a good place to enjoy with friends, family, or work colleague's.
D. G.
interesting experience lovely food once I got it too much queueing and a little pricey
P. W.
Loved it, fantastic food, pick your own and have it made to how you like it.
M. C. (.
So different but very impressive. The live BBQ is great and such a huge range of food. Nothing unusual or odd and all absolutely delicious
L. B.
Lovely setting this place is but today the food wasn't as good as normal but it was busy
P. M.
Food was beautiful and excellent service from the friendly staff.!!
o. u.
OMG! first time at this place after visiting the Xscape rooms with the office team! I have never seen food cooked like that before, absolutely wonderful, tasty and quick, the service was impeccable, will definitely be going again!
Pricing structure was good too........ well impressed
P. H.
We went for Sunday lunch. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the desserts were to die for. The only negative was that the cabbage was 'chewy'. The food on offer was lovely; sprouts with bacon, cabbage with bacon and sauce and cauliflower cheese which was really tasty. The ambience was calming and the establishment was clean and welcoming.
J. P.
Unique place to eat, really fun but a tad expensive. Make sure to have lots of small plates instead of one big one!
A. D.
Lovely food nice atmosphere although could do with a larger bar area, as a bit of a tight squeeze for the larger party.
S. m.
The food was lovely. You could really gorge if you want. Puddings were pricey x
M. B.
Nice food and a bit of fun building your own dish. All you can eat as well but much better quality than you normally get in all you can eat buffets.
N. S.
Amazing place. The food was so good. I would definitely recommend getting one of the desserts
R. t.
Fantastic food brilliant place for celebration my daughter 18th birthday
R. K.
Always a great visit and the choice of food is really good
D. R.
Cool concept with many options to choose from. Fairly quick waiting times for your chosen meal to be coocked. If you don't like your meal you can only blame yourself, as you create your own mix from mostly frozen and low end ingredients. Probably not the best place if you have any type of food allergies. Great value for what you get. All you can eat, so come hungry.
L. E.
I think it's so novel that you can make whatever dishes you want, and just let the chefs cook it for you. Plus as much as you can eat!
I've been going for many years, always love going back.
They're great with allergies too, they cook the food in the back for you!
A. K.
The most versatile place you'll find locally. Great for a beer with mates, really special for a date night, fantastic atmosphere for a party! The staff really make it - friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. 👍👍👍
J. D.
Can't recommend Jenko's Mongolian restaurant any more than this it's one of the best I have been to it mite pay to go around 8pm so that you are not rushed for a meal at £17:50 a head & eat as much as you can you can't go wrong staff are nice and obliging a great bargain you can't beat it.
W. O.
Best sunday roast I've had. And it's all you can eat! Pure bliss.
T. M.
Fantastic place.. great beer and barbecue, what's not to like.
J. T.
Good food eat as much as you like on a Sunday carvery. Enjoyed by all the party.
M. P.
Ok food but I could have made it myself at home quicker and at a fraction of the cost
S. H.
Good food. A bit expensive but the amount of fresh food available makes it decent value. Allergies are a serious concern especially shellfish.
R. C.
We had a very good evening at Jenko's. The food was good - you choose the ingredients and they cook it for you. Eat as much as you can! Very reasonable price and good service.
R. G.
Only the second visit here in 3 years (working in the area each time) absolutely loved it, the food is good quality and as it's all you can eat you'll definitely leave satisfied. The whole Mongolian experience works really well and adds to the atmosphere which is really welcoming
J. R.
This place is fabulous we went for Christmas dinner it was gorgeous
D. E.
We went for a Sunday carvery here and it was gee, everyone complimented how nice the meal was!!!
J. P.
Good place to eat. Reasonably priced. Music too loud tho. Which makes everyone speak up, which makes the whole place a bit noisy. Not sure what's Mongolian about it but interesting concept.
D. G.
Great food and friendly staff. Was busy however that is a sign that the food is good. Definitely worth another visit soon.
R. M.
Absolutely amazing experience. Food cooked to perfection by 2 fantastic chefs- who worked so hard all night it was hard to even keep up with them! 10/10 for hosts - owners and servers! Best birthday meal yet! Mellars of stourbridge :)
j. h.
Fantastic place to eat.. the variety and options are endless.. possibly impossible to create the same taste twice.. but this is a plus
Would have given 5 stars, but only disappointment on this visit was the wait, 27 mins stood in the queue waiting for it to be cooked, the pre ordered garlic bread and fries sat on table going cold, they were replaced with no fuss..
Ordered cheesecake and toffee pudding for dessert ... both delicious
Despite the lengthy wait this would not put me off returning
D. L. C.
Really good set up, laid back and amazingly nice staff, we went on a Saturday night it was extremely busy but they did their best to serve everyone quickly, the food was delicious the looked and tasted amazing, will be going again soon, definitely my new favourite place 😊 oh plenty of parking here too and this place has a great feel to it, just the right amount cosy.
K. T.
Friendly staff, good atmosphere, plenty of good food. Can't really go wrong if you like putting your own recipes together. They have examples to follow if you need inspiration but really the fun is choosing your own unique mix of ingredients and flavourings and watching them fry it up in front of you. Looking forward to going back.
D. V.
Excellent food and service. The Brazilian Menu that is currently on is amazing value for the quality of food.
G. E.
Excellent service, friendly staff, awesome food!
J. F.
Fantastic food. Good service. Will re-visit.
J. M.
Superb love the food good service
M. L.
Sunday roast...wow. worth every penny and super friendly staff too
T. C.
Jenko's the restaurant attached is excellent! The calvary on a Sunday is superb, the best in Shropshire! They cater for the people who value quality and quantity. The setting is very nice indeed!
j. G.
Very nice food and pleasant little building. Shame there was a rude woman there. Apparently we took over the 5 minute limit on choosing your meats, although we didn't we were just in the sue waiting for people to move round, the woman cut in front and when questioned was a bit rude, apparently eats there regularly and has a right God it in the que? Apart from her guttery behaviour the place is all good
D. M.
Great night out...food brilliant and nice staff...
N. T.
First time eating Sunday lunch here.
Service was a bit slow on arrival with drinks and the rest is a carvery type arrangement.
The meat is pre sliced which speeds things up and you can have a many meats as you want.
Perhaps would have liked a few more greens in the veg but overall good quality Sunday lunch.
I. W.
Interesting concept. At the back of a pub. The only way drawback is the long wait in the queue for your food to be cooked. But to be fair it is worth the wait.
J. D.
The food, though very tasty was overcooked. But having said that, the guy doing the cooking was on his first night. I'll try it again.
T. D.
Frist time and really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend. Something different to try
A. P.
A Great novel way to eat, caters for all tastes, good for someone on a diet (apart from the desserts which are gorgeous). Choose your own meal ingredients, add what spices and sauces you want and watch while it is cooked in front of you on the huge hotplate. Friendly staff. The guys on the hotplate work like Trojans. Highly recommended for all occasions. Main course, 1 price eat as much as you wish.
S. R.
Great food great ambiance wonderful food awesome range and disabled friendly I have been here many times before over two years and have never been disappointed two thumbs up ten out of ten
C. B.
I went for a birthday treat with a friend although it was busy the food & coctails were as always good and the atmosphere buzzing
H. P.
Just want to pass on some feedback from a large group who stayed with us at The Holiday Inn Telford-Ironbridge, who all dined with you last night...they all thought you were AMAZING!!! They said that everything was wonderful from food, drinks and service!
Well done Guy's, you've done Telford PROUD!!!
W. B.
Great restaurant, excellent food, service and the staff fantastic.
P. I.
Always love this place and the Sunday carvery is the best in Telford bar none
S. A.
What a place really good healthy food and a desert to die for. Best banoffee cheese cake I've ever had.

WoW. What a fantastic idea. Choose your own ingredients, the chef cooks it all together. Everything cooked using huge griddle and "sticks"to turn the food. Only downside perhaps a little dry. I do love my gravy.

Friendly Staff, Sociable dining room and atmosphere Plenty of food choices for you to choose yourself and put on your own plate .Also add different herb spices and sauces to make your own speciality dish and watch it being cooked for you ,while you chat to every one else..If you enjoyed what you chose and would like to try another recipe just repeat .Very enjoyable.and a different experience.

Good food a little expensive and very busy there
S. D.
Good food and the staff were very helpful when we had our work Christmas party there
J. F.
Unusual but fun concept. Takes a little why to get food cooked. Pleasant decor and vibe.
C. S.
Great food, lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended
J. L.
Excellent meal and they found a table for us with no booking and fairly full. I knew I hated Telford services for a reason, I will now always make the detour for dinner.

Love this place, have been coming years and will keep coming
J. B.
Brillant place...hidden away but worth the trip
H. S.
Did not enjoy it, if you just want as much as you can eat then I suppose it's ok. I could not eat 20 quids of, would have been happy to pay £10. Noodles were dry and after queuing for the food we had to wait for them. Would not go back.

Went for a drink today on first day of opening outside , it was layed out very well and service was excellent

Dine with a difference. This restaurant is fun and unique. If you can look past the entrance to the building then what is inside is brilliant. The decor is in keeping with the theme of the restaurant which is primarily in a large conservatory at the back of The Compasses Inn. You access this restaurant through a side entrance to the inn and past the toilets, or through the main bar area (which is a rather small corridor shape).
You help yourself to raw ingredients here which you place in steel bowls. You create your own flavour combinations with spices, herbs and sauces and pour it all in. Then queue. The food is cooked by one or two people on a round stone heated by gas. You watch your food get cooked and pushed around the stone then it is scooped on to a plate. You can then select from rice, pasta or noodles.
This place has enough drink choices and sells a few side options. We have never made it to desert yet.

Always enjoyed eating here and the desserts are amazing!
M. T.
Good food and great atmosphere
K. W.
All you can eat stirfry-style buffet and excellent desserts, what's not to like?! Knocked off a star because they only start serving food at 7 and our party popped along early for a drink in the bar which wasn't big enough to fit 9 of us.
L. H.
The food was great and the beer is great the atmosphere in the pub was great nice little pub to visit nice big car park also
T. C.
Great food. Nice people.
R. B.
Great service, great atmosphere, definetely a return visit.

Love picking own meats, veg, spices to make different flavour combinations. Cocktails and desserts are to die for. Best to book as always busy. Sunday roast is carvery with lots of choice.
R. k.
Exceptional food at a very reasonable price and very pleasant and helpful staff.make sure you book ahead though as it gets very busy.
G. P.
The staff were very welcoming and warm. Thanks!

Great. Meat feast. Too much food - is that a conplaint? Quality good and service great.
D. S. L.
Good place decent food, really like the combination suggestions too, though a few more would be good.

J. M.
Fantastic Sunday lunch and lovely bbq
S. S.
Great service great food and lovely decking outside will come again
D. J.
odd concept, never come across anything like this before. you pick your food, add your desired spices, and take it to this huge open grill where they cook the food you picked in front of you. you add rice, pasta or noodles after it's done.
food is amazing. i think you have to know a bit about spices though in order to get a truely amazing experience here, else you'll probably end up blowing your tongue out of your mouth!
all in all, a great experience. however, i'd avoid this place on a saturday night, unless you're willing to wait a while. this place gets very busy! apparently, tuesday night is a good time to go :)
M. S.
Experience the novel cooking style and the menu is as diverse as your pallet wants to be, tricky to explain. You choose you ingredient and seasoning plus sauces and its cooked in front of you. so the menu is kinda infinite, be as experimental as you want to be. Granted you can also get the chemistry wrong. but that's not the fault of the chef; its purely on your poor choices.
M. C.
Really nice but the beef was a bit tuff
A. W.
Would have been 5* if it wasn't so tight. Unable to go myself to order as impossible in my wheelchair
B. R.
Over priced for what it is, not the best food either
D. G.
Make your perfect dishes with a huge selection of meats, veg, spices and flavouring. Friendly staff and a lovely interior make this one of the best restaurants in Telford.
C. P.

Sunday carvery is great and the Mongolian is brilliant too. You can eat till you pop
P. S.
To celebrate a family members 60th birthday we wanted something different, probably unique for Telford. In total there were 8 of us seated around a large wooden table. There was waitress service for the drinks to save those tiresome trips to the bar and frequent visits to ensure we were all OK. If you have not been to Jenko's before (hence reading this) you basically select as much or less as to what you want to eat by selecting your own fish/meat/veg/spices and marinade sources in a bowl and present it to a 'Barbecuer' who cooks your selection on a hot plate using wooden paddles to turn whilst cooking. Once cooked you can can then add rice, noodles, pasta and other sauces. The selection of food to cook and spices are extensive, something for most palettes. However the food theme is basically Asian / Eastern style, hence Mongolian. The style of cooking thus mimics a shield over an open fire and swords turning the meat etc. At the start of the evening most tables were taken so book and perhaps arrive for around 7.30-8pm. The atmosphere and experience was excellent, as were the attentive friendly staff. Well worth a visit and prices were average in comparison to other eateries in Telford. But what makes this better than most 'chain restaurants' is the individuality and the group interaction whilst selecting your meal etc. Overall a thumbs-up and thanks to the staff for a well sung rendition of Steve Wonders 'Happy Birthday'.

we first tried Jenkos around 4-5 years ago and we just never got round to going back.
Last week we were at a loose end after being let down for dinner by friends and decided why not,...Jenkos it is.
The place still has lovely decor and a great feel to it.
The staff are lovely and the food as tasty as we remember it.
The chef was the real talent on the night, chatty, funny but most importantly very good at what he does....cooking meat!
Really enjoyed this return visit and we won't leave it as long next time.

Great night out, especially for parties and social.
Jenko's offers a unique way of dining for the area, after collecting your raw food in any quantity you desire, its then thrown on a hot plate where you can watch it cook bbq style making this an enjoyable experience for all. The decor at first glance seems a little outdated, however in my opinion it adds to the rustic ambiance of the place.
Minus one star for the level of spices some people use which gets passed onto your food. Kind of unavoidable from the restaurants point of view but still, your food does get tainted
C. D.
Amazing food will be a regular local

Not being a spicy food lover we went to experience the 'Mongolian' fair on one of the weekday nights, because all the customers choice of food is cooked on the huge gas fired hotplate in rotation while you wait and food is turned and moved around the hotplate as it cooks meaning that if the person in front of you enjoys a particularly spicy flavor to his/her food as your selection moves around the hotplate some of their spices will inevitably influence the taste of your own food.
If you ask one of the waiters/waitresses to take your selection into the kitchen to be individually cooked they are more than happy to accommodate you, at which point you can either go watch the chefs cook the other diners meals or else go sit at your table and await your meal to be served directly to your table.
The Sunday carvery on the other hand is absolutely fantastic, all freshly cooked veg's reel cauliflower-cheese, carrots, broccoli, etc,etc (non of that plastic prepackaged and bought in stuff) and for those that like a little something different on their dinner plate selections like garlic infused boiled potato slices served in a cream sauce, creamed mushrooms, cabbage and ham also in a rich cream sauce (sounds horrible but tastes fantastic Mmmmmm) and so much more.
Obviously their's the traditional selection of meats, Beef, Gammon, Pork and Chicken legs, but the difference is that you serve yourself to as much or as little as you want and you can go back up and help yourself to seconds, thirds or as much as it takes to sate your culinary desires.
We first went to Jenco's around the Christmas period after a friend recommended the place to us for their Sunday lunches and to find that the main dinning room is a huge log cabin with full height glazed gable end looking out across the countryside was a real treat and the Christmas decorations gave that us that real Christmas vibe, but whether at Christmas or any other time of the year we regularly frequent Jenco's just because we can. they also believe it or not serve Sunday lunch takeaways including delivery to local postal addresses that's something I've personally never heard of before.
