We booked online. Very friendly when we went in. Shown to our table. Place looks lovely. The owner came and spoke to us and the waiters were all very friendly and answered any questions we had. Food came out nice and quickly and we were asked if we were ready for our mains after we finished our starters which I thought was good as you sometimes aren't ready. The food tasted fantastic. Would definitely recommend coming here. We were even offered a complimentary baileys at the end. Went again this evening. All still very good.

Fabulous restaurant! We enjoy it every time we go. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is amazing! The poppadoms are gluten-free and the cocktails are are gorgeous. What more could I ask for?

Food was fine but nothing special. Restaurant really lacked atmosphere and the music they played just bought down the mood. Service lacked personality too. Peppers in Trench literally treat you like their best friends when you dine there but this place just seemed like they wanted their table back so they could go home. Was midweek. Excellent, tasty food, well presented and served by friendly efficient staff. I only just managed to finish the generous portions. The lamb balti was a bit hotter than I expected but I had been asked how I wanted it - one man's medium is another chef's hot! A perennial problem. So glad that the few less good reviews didn't put me off. I would certainly go again.

The inside of the restaurant is traditional to most curry houses with the leather seats, ambient mood lighting and Asian music playing in the background. It was quiet inside with only a large group and one other person. I was greeted promptly inside by the staff who gave me a choice of tables. After being seated, I was offered poppadoms and a drink which as most curry houses always do and try and upsell you like no tomorrow. The staff were following COVID-19 standards with visors and masks present and a one way operation on entry. I had the Chicken Mugli. Not as spicy as I thought and a lot sweetet than expected but the staff member explained this. It came within 10 minutes of ordering. It cost £9.95 which the majority of their items on the menu cost this. The poppadom was 95p. Diet coke was £2.75 which is above average cost. Generous portion size. Egg was overcooked which was evident by the green ring around it. Overall 8/10 met but did not exceed my expectations

Booked a table for 9 here a few weeks ago for my husbands birthday and the food was amazing as always. The staff were very helpful and friendly and helped us decorate the table for his birthday. They brought out the cake for him and even sang happy birthday which my husband hated of course. They even gave the table complimentary drinks after the meal. As always I cannot fault the food and the staff as usual were great. This is our go to curry house for takeaway and eating in and it never fails would not use anyone else the quality is always the same….amazing!! Highly recommend

Our family visited Spiceland again on Saturday 8th of Jan 2022. Sag, the Manager, and his staff made us feel very welcome. The restaurant has been maintained to a very high standard and the food was wonderful and easily on par with Michelin Star standards I have ejoyed over the years. The staff offered a very personal food experience giving guidance and advice on the various dishes on offer; nothing was too much trouble. Another very enjoyable evening. Ordered at 1930 Food not delivered until 2100 BUT I have to say the food was delicious and some of the best indian food I've ever had, especially as me and the wife chose vegan options which are very difficult to find. Not only was the food excellent but I was called to personally apologize for the delay, and got a free drink added to the order by way of compensation. The staff are warm kind and they are very welcoming they make you feel like you are VIPs from start to end but without the red carpet. The food is also home made and the quality is superb. Visited on a Saturday night, place was packed, not a single table free. Despite this the service was good, the manager/owner was impressively managing his staff to ensure no table was left without service. Food was good, my only complaint would have been that both our curries were overly sweet and portions a little on the small side (rice/naan). Would visit again despite the decent selection of other Indian restaurants in Wellington.

There is something comfortably familiar and British about a local Bangladeshi restaurant, making a good choice for the end-of-decade New Year's Eve. Well patronised evening with convivial atmosphere. Welcoming, good-natured and enthusiastic waiters, younger ones especially to be remarked. Extensive old-favourites menu. In 2020 vegetarian options could be better highlighted but staff more than willing to adapt to customers' wishes. Interesting Bangla lager. Now that there is such a growing diversity of Indian restaurants in the UK, it is good to keep in touch with the roots...

Visited with my girlfriend and two friends. We had reserved which is recommended as very busy place with good reason. The food is very good. I always ask for a lassi to accompany my meal. My dad ordered sum food 4 me and my sis. He did it online instead of phoning - dad's not good with computers - it was so simple! we looked at what there was and he clicked away - even tho he used my email :-) Spiceland sent us a reply, it even said what we ordered and told us it wud be in an hour. Dad was really happy cus they gave a free onion bhaji! Anyway the food came and dad giv me the cash! when I opened the door, there was a massive man with my food, he waz really nice! I visit spiceland frequently as it's our local "go to" family restaurant when we want a nice treat without all the washing up! I often take my colleagues here also for corporate events. Spiceland is world-class. Where does one start, from the warm welcome and professional manorisms of staff, superb options for varied cuisine and plethoras of flavours. The healthy grilled tandoori chicken and King Prawns are a personal recommendation and you can eat Indian and be healthy- even if not you have the reassurance that no ghee is added so your curry will be as desired - just one of the many reasons which sets it apart and in its own unique league from the rest of the competition in the area- check out some of the restaurants annual awards and you will see why. Sag and the team do a fine job and i am very lucky to have this wonderful restaurant nearby to my home. Efficiency is second to none with delivery / take away service always consistent- great mobile friendly website to also pre-book your table and pay securely online- very ease of use. A must if in Wellington , Shropshire- take it from a local girl who knows her curries!
