Its was a busy Bank Holiday Monday lunch time for my visit to TGI. But the service was quick, and we didn't wait long for our meals. My meal itself was nice, but very small. I paid £15 for this meal, but it was more of a portion for 12 year old. It was just one small chicken breast cut in half. I was still hungry after I left, hence a 3 star review.

We had very nice food and were well looked after by the staff. It's in a prime location at Southwater - lots to do nearby (shops, cinema, walks) Dont be put off by the price of the food, especially the burgers as the portions are huge. We did pay £13 for a double vodka and diet coke though which I felt was a bit steep.

Been here a couple of times now, food is always good and the staff are always friendly. My only criticism is the wait time when you're done with your food and you're waiting for plates to be removed and for the bill. This can sometimes feel like a lifetime, which I'm not sure why as on our last visit it was extremely quiet.

We went for my wife's birthday last week and had a lovely visit as usual.. she had a slight fall and we left feeling a tad embarrassed..the past week we have been in contact with TGIs and today spoke to the Telford manager James who was lovely about the matter. The staff are always so cheerful and helpful and we look forward to our date days to go here. Just a huge thank you from us for again being so wonderful. Food always fresh and filling. And the cocktails go down a treat! See you soon guys.

Following LiquorLab we came to TGI. Inside it is very spacious and the service has improved since the last time we came. We reserved a table as there was 6 of us. The waiters took our drinks order pretty swiftly when we arrived. The food I had was amazing! I would recommend getting the full rack of ribs rather than the half and the meat was very tender and tasted great. The toilet trip is quirky but fun with hopscotch painted on the floor.

I am posting a 3 star because a few things on my visit had let my visit down, which is a massive shame as I had been before and it was far better. Myself and my boyfriend decided to go for food and picked TGIs based on a previously good experience. We walked in, and were greeted by an index finger - because the girl at the front "desk" where you wait to be seated was on the phone. So we stood patiently waiting. While I appreciate someone had called ahead, there were other staff that walked past multiple times, without food that could have seated us on the way back to the kitchen. We were seated and our order taken. I am a vegetarian and I appreciate that's not everyone's cup of tea, and not all venues need to cater for it. I did feel the menu was rather limited, however, I have come to expect it when eating out, so it wasn't a massive gripe. I chose the Bruchetta. As you can see from the pictures, it was heavily laced in Balsamic vinegar which ultimately ruined it. It should have been lighter or included in a little pouring jug/container so you can add your own. We also asked for the passion fruit martini sharer bowl. It was so full of ice, it tasted watered down and nothing like what it looked on the menu. Disappointing when it's £22.00! My main veg fajitas. Most of it was onion, a few bits of pepper and snap peas. It lacked flavour - the salsa, guacamole and hot sauce made it more edible. I also ordered a frozen strawberry daiquiri - it was very red in colour but not rich in flavour at all. We spent over £80 on the sharer, 2 cocktails and meals off the set menu. If the food & drinks was close to how it was when I visited the last time, I would have been over the moon, but I felt we could have gotten a lot better for a lot less elsewhere. I was really disappointed this time over. The atmosphere and decor is decent so not sure why it seems to have gone down hill.

Attended here for my partners birthday on 05/03/2022 with another couple as surprise luckily we got seated at Wagamama was 1hr wait for table. We order drinks straight away 10 minutes later we ordered food all together didn’t think the food would almost 40 minutes to come out ! We had to rush our food down us because we had cinema at 8 and obviously with the time being 7:45 we wasn’t happy. Nevertheless we ate our food which tasted great asked for the bill to which the waiter went off and didn’t come back to us for 10 minutes he decided to do another tables bill as they walked up to him directly ! Poor customer service !

what an experience!! "Jay made my birthday dinner special" were the words my 6 year old used tonight. a little birthday card was on our table when we arrived, Jay came and introduced himself and gave our son LOTS of attention. He was quick to recommend and explain menu options and made a big fuss of our boy. Just before dessert, a group of employees arrived at our table and told our son to stand on his chair. they then announced his birthday to everyone and chanted the TGI birthday song to him, before presenting him with ice cream with a birthday candle. His face was a picture! What an incredible experience, and outstanding service from Jay and the team. Food was BLOODY BANG ON too

This TGI Fridays doesn't live up to the usual standard of other locations I have visited, with this being a new location I expected more. Service was slow despite the restaurant being only slightly busy. Our waiter also put through an incorrect order, resulting in food we had not asked for being ordered. Food, solid, as normal with any TGI's you can visit. Telford's TGI's suffers from a few issues that stop it from achieving the same 5* reviews that I have given at the more mature TGI Fridays restaurants, but I am hoping it will improve in time.

Went for my son's 15th birthday, seat, ordered and ate with zero issues. Was served by Jay who was polite, helpful and attentive. Has the manager make an appearance as my partner has a food allergy (a very mild one) and he went above and beyond to ensure that there would be no issues. Again top service. Food wise, quite nice although not as enormous as I remember TG's portions being, maybe portions have shrunk.....maybe I need to have smaller portions?? Either way, nice hour 1/2 or so and left feeling looked after and well fed (dessert portions haven't Shrunk 🤣😂👍)

We was ignored by a member of staff a couple times while waiting by door which prompted me to ask is this a wait to be seated restaurant.. the gentle nudge helped instead of standing like lemons. But I must say the meal was above the level of rock cafe

It's one of them places where when I originally did tgi year's ago it appeared new and refreshing compared to the other restaurants they seem to have lost there way with certain fundermentals. Cocktails are medioca can get better else where the food the main was nice the starter being jacket skins was over cooked and had to be sent back. Service was very slow and when considering desert at the end the waitress reminded us on more then one occasion that our table time will be ending very shortly which felt frustrating as if they was more organised then the time wouldn't have become a barrier. Tgi used to feel welcoming and a nice relaxed night where you could soak up the atmosphere and the decor and feel like a child in a candy shop with he cocktail menu and the food it doesn't have that sparkle any more and it's almost like they don't care about your custom I would say the best thing was how they did the happy birthday cheering. Value for money average at best will i rush to return I doubt it.

Jay & Charlie (the trainee) were fabulous tonight even though it was so busy & they were rushed off their feet. They made our experience super special as it was my partners 30th. Have no idea how they stay happy & positive in high demanding situations. Did not see any of the workers stand around. Even though they were busy & have to manage a lot of tables, they still came up to the tables more than once...even more than twice in that fact. The food was great! Food is better than Frankie & Bennys as they have similar style. Very clean & there is animals balloons for kids. I havent been to TGI Fridays in at least 7 years which was in Birmingham and there was a big difference customer service. First time visiting the telford one which is less than a minute from our house & won't be the last! All 11 of us was super happy with our visit!

5 Star Review for 1 reason only! Jay!! We visited last night, a group of 8 of us. Food was nice although there were a couple of mistakes with our order and food bought out at different times etc. The sort of thing ordinarily you would probably roll your eyes at. But it didn't seem to matter as we had a waiter called Jay who just made the whole experience light and entertaining. He was an absolute star and breath of fresh air. Definitely the guy that lit up the room and totally should be running the place. Just the right can do attitude.

Don't think it was worth travelling from Walsall and sadly the Walsall TGI is just the same. Think we will stick to major city TGI's

Table service was very good. We had an excellent waitress who was quick and attentive. Shame about the bar service though which was very poor. Staff hanging around cutting lime slices oblivious to the customers waiting for drinks, and not enough staff to serve drinks. They seemed indifferent to customers waiting, blaming it on a shift change. They could learn a lot from Browns, where there are dedicated bar staff ready to take orders. Food fairly good, although the pizza was burned on the bottom.

'My servers name was Jay N and he gave me and my family the best experience we could have wished for. We had a busy day and my children were tired and hungry, as soon as we had sat down he made them feel special, asking them directly what they wanted and made sure it came out as fast as possible. My son has special needs and he finds it hard to speak to people, usually hides, but with Jay he was waving and saying hi each time he went past and Jay made sure to always respond even if he was busy which is the reason why I am leaving this message. Tonight was my first time at TGI Fridays and I was absolutely delighted with everything. The staff, from the moment we entered until the second we left could not be more attentive. The food was great too. We will definitely be going back again. Our waiter was Sascha and he was very professional.

Booked a table easily online 2 weeks before the date. Confirmed by email the day before that we were coming. Arrived at booked time, table was ready. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Ordered our drinks and then food. Drinks came out pretty quick and food also fairly quickly. We all enjoyed our meals. Waitress kept checking if we needed anymore drinks etc. Really enjoyed the evening. Food was lovely. TGIs isn't a quiet place. So bare that in mind if you haven't ever been and like a "quiet" meal. But as I've been before. All was good.

I went here with my daughter yesterday. Really nice staff. My daughter had half a rack of ribs which she really enjoyed. I had the new vegan burger, this is the nicest non meat burger I've tried. I also had a mocktail mojito which was really nice. It was a bit cold in there, would have been nice to have been warmer. Also the dip that came with the Vegan burger had honey in it, which isn't vegan.

What a pity, it's a great place with good food but being such a new opener I feel like the staff are still finding their feet. The staff are very polite and helpful but the service is slow. Took about an hour after our starters to get our food and the starters took just over 40 mins to come out, and the place wasn't even half full. I'm sure they will get quicker but at the moment I can only give 3 stars. We've visited since and it was empty and still very slow. Edit: we've visited again more recently and it was still incredibly slow and since they are running such a reduced menu with covid we actually walked out and went somewhere else.

Upon arrival we were shocked as to how busy it was given that it was new years day and it's because of this that I assume it took us a while to be greatest and sat down. After a while our waitress came to take our drinks and meal order's. She returned shortly after with the one drink but the others didn't come until after the starter's came and I had to remind them that we'd not yet had them. The food itself was good overall and dispite the issue with the drinks the waiting staff were also good and were friendly enough.

We went to TGI Fridays for my son and daughters birthdays. The food was nice but the service wasn't. We felt ignored we didnt get any free refills on our drinks the staff we running about you couldn't get their attention. Our mains were bought to the table before our starters were cleared and the waitress continued to push these huge plates onto a very full table almost knocking over our drinks. Its a shame because the staff are very pleasant when you do get their attention. TGI Fridays employ more staff please to make it a pleasant experience.

Went here for a date night with partner. Really pleased with the service provided. Very friendly staff and not miserable faced like a lot of waiters can be. We had one slight problem when paying because I was using vouchers but apart from that can't fault it. Also don't expect your normal food from here. For example coleslaw wasn't like normal coleslaw it has other ingredients in it to make it exotic. It's nice to find somewhere or doesn't just do the normal food.

Biggest issue today was the blatant understaffing...its a Bank Holiday, and it took ages for someone to take our order, not because it was busy but there just wasn't enough staff. Then we waited 10-15 minutes for the bill, which, considering the parking for this restaurant is charged, isn't really acceptable. The drinks for the 4 of us came in dribs and drabs, first one drink, then a few minutes later another two drinks, then another few minutes later for the final drink. I personally had the refillable soft-drink, which was refilled just once because I couldn't find anyone to refill it. As I said, the food was nice, but the overall experience and cost just left an overall "meh" taste in my mouth...

Unfortuately we were not overly impressed. Starter took over an hour to arrive. The mains were exttremely dissapointing. 2 sets of ribs were massively overcooked to burnt black and only tasted of charcoal and the steak did not arrive with the salad. That said, we did not complain and had a nice night. The staff were so apologetic as they identified the issues as well. We will give them another try because of the staff, not for the food. Still worth 3* though.

Although our food was good, the steak was over cooked. My cutlery had, hard food still stuck on it and it took 5 minutes wait to get new ones while my food went cold. The worst thing tho was the toilets. The first urinal, was backed up and full. Then while I was using the next urinal (the cubical was engaged) it backed up and I had to stop so it could go down or I'd have got wet feet. Although, service and food was good ( I can deal with medium/well not medium) the cutlery and toilets was horrible. And the stupid birthday songs right in front of you is actually annoying.

The food here is always brilliant! When we got home we realised we'd been overcharged by about £17 for one meal - we obviously didn't check the bill properly! When I got home and realised, I called the restaurant and explained. The next day someone called me back as they'd had a look and found the error. They refunded my card over the phone and the cash was back in my account the next day. Really helpful, can't fault them. The food is always so good and we'll definitely go back. The birthday cake was brilliant too!

Compared to first visit there. Not good. Waiting to be seated and for food took 45 mins. Watching our food cooked on the side going cold but no one served it to us. Finally came... partners main did not and they said that would take longer. Starter of onion rings was cold so asked for replacement. Got onion rings back but they had been re fried and were greasy and burnt but now Hot at least. Tucked into my main then a few mins after my partners arrived. My burger was luke warm only by this time. Partner said she enjoyed her main. Between all the complaining and talking to manager about delay and cold onion rings being re-fried not an enjoyable experience. Did get 25 percent discount in the end so perhaps they did care after all. I think they need better employees dedicated to their jobs and perhaps service could improve...

I shouldn't like this place, but I do. Everything about it should wind me up. It's loud, invariably crowded, it's a chain restaurant, it's menu is mass-produced and stunted, It's like McDonald's on speed. But I've not had a bad meal here. Sometimes you just want something a bit naff, and to get your gob around some ribs or make a gimp of yourself by getting burger juice down your shirt. The staff are fine, if a little dozy sometimes. I know every one of these places around the country (and most likely the planet) are identical, but there's something familiar about that. You know what your going to get. Vouchers and deals are plentiful so you can get a cheap one or a free pudding every now and again. The thing is, unlike most chain restaurants, it isn't pretentious and doesn't pretend to be something it isn't. It's a burger joint with a fake taxi outside (arf) and a Harley Davidson for the kids to take pictures on. Embrace the madness, rather than paying more for less at the coal bar and grill around the corner, which thinks it's far better than it actually is.

If you want to eat special you should go in Wuhan Market. For click and colect after colecting time they invited me to wait at entrance without a sitting chair so a customer lady confused me with an usher or security guy. At Nandos for example if you have to wait for colecting, you are invited to sit down inside, even in lockdown period and they give you a free drink.

Ate here last night with colleagues from work, all in all a good experience, standard TGI’s really. The initial drinks order took a little longer than expected however once our food order was taken it came pretty soon afterwards. I had the boneless hot chicken bites to start followed by the TGI chicken burger with added mario fries that came with a little bit of cheese and what they call a bacon crumb, I’d say they aren’t worth the £2 upgrade. The waitress that served us was friendly and knowledgable about the menu and cocktails, the slightly slower than usual service wouldn’t put me off returning to this restaurant or another TGI’s in the future.

Sweetcorn gets stuck in your teeth, being very dry. An order got messed up where double glazed ribs were taken to another table, having to have normal ribs instead. I had a huge burger, one of my colleagues had a ribeye steak that he said was terrible, overcooked and dry, the other colleague had fajitas or something Mexican. The waitress dropped the plate with the guacamole the sour cream and salsa to his trousers, then brought a soaking cloth to clean them, only she made it worst. The sauces that ended up on the floor stayed there for more than half an hour before they decided to clean them. They brought his drink wrong (long Island ice tea instead of just an ice tea that he ordered). All in all not great experience.
