Found this place few weeks ago after a recommendation and had the best oatcakes ever! Had friends up from Sussex so decided to try Sunday lunch here today and was not disappointed excellent portions, food was delicious and hot with great service, can't wait for new menu this week and arrange our next visit

What an amazing tea & coffee room! Came to town to get my car checked out down the road and was looking for somewhere to grab lunch and chill out for a bit. Jake and Sue are the perfect pair they made some amazing food and also made us feel so welcome. They made sure everything was perfect and lovely. We sat down in garden seating area they put up and it was really a pleasant experience, enjoying the sunshine whilst eating amazing food with nice music in the background. I would definitely recommend this place! if I was a local I would visit most times. Hopefully will come back to pay another visit very soon. Keep up the great work guys.

What a place! the food is even better than it looks in the pictures and even the biggest of eaters would have trouble clearing their plates!!! Every single thing is prepared from scratch by the owners who are BOTH qualified chefs and literally the nicest husband and wife duo you could ever meet!!! They will take the time to come and speak to you in person during and after your meal and are rightly proud of what they have built together. The place has the such an "at home" feel, like you are really dining with friends/family and that sort of atmosphere, you just can't manufacture. If ever you were an advocate of supporting local businesses, this one ought to be at the top of your list. There is not a single thing I could be negative about, not one. Simply put, it is tremendous food, priced so honestly, you would happily pay double at the end once you have tried it -now how many people could say that! 5 🌟, should be 10!

First time here, spotlessly clean, really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Fabulous home cooked Sunday lunch. Proper veg, cauliflower cheese etc it was brilliant thank you.

We called in today and were impressed with the choices on the menu, I'm from Stoke-on-Trent so I was very impressed and excited when I saw Oatcakes on the menu. The food, service and prices are fantastic. The owner Jay is very friendly and excellent chef we will definitely be going again.

Sunday carvery- was absolutely amazing! This was 1 persons, I was so full, I needed a nap!!! We preordered the meals, and the lady and gent that run the place were really polite, food was piping hot, and brilliant quality! Will 100% order again!

Excellent Sunday lunch in quirky bistro. Bring your own drinks so good value. Roasties, mash, dauphinoise potatoes, cauliflower cheese, braised red cabbage, carrots, peas, parsnips! Desserts were amazing too!

To all my friends who live local to me. Have you discovered the Greenman Bistro yet ? Their food is just superb. I've just had me taste buds satisfied with a fabulous All Day Breakfast...... Agen..... 😲😲 I know !.... but you just HAVE to return for more of their beautiful food. This lovely little establishment can be found on the old Trench Road. Just a few yards past the old Duke of York pub on the other side of the road. The chef's work here is excellent and I cannot praise it enough. BUT don't just take my word for it Get down there and experience it fur yourselves. Enjoy 👍😘😘😘 By the way, if you want Sunday Lunch, don't hesitate. Book it quick. They get full very quickly. 😊😊😊💖💖💖

Quirky cafe and well worth a visit. We called in for breakfast and were just blown away by the quality and portions of food. Great coffee too. Attentive, friendly staff and the decor is, as already said, quirky. It's worth a visit just to see the amazing array of old artifacts. Wonderful place. Thank you for being there!

Well worth a visit. Great selection of cakes. Cosy atmosphere. Went there for the second time today, what a treat. This time we had lunch, absolutely loved it. Reservations are advised because seating inside is limited.

What a surprise! The Greenman is truly a hidden gem in Trench. We had afternoon tea, lovely dainty sandwiches freshly made, loads of two mouthful cakes and really light scones. A real treat. Will definitely be back.

Just had my second full English with these guys. This time took my wofe and her assistance dog. These guys go. Out there way to check everything is ok. Nothing is to much to ask., if they can do it they will. Such a small gem should be in a shopping center or highstreet. There is ample oarking at back around 5 tables so plenty room for a small cafe. The decor is in keeping with the green man. Very 20s style ornaments and nicknacks. Sevice at table with them wearing face covings also hand gel on table as per covod and government guidelines. Food was as ever hot and well presented. My wife had there luxury hot chocolate drink and was grest she said. We even took some home Made scones back which we will have for lunch. Also must say they where very accommodating my wifes assistant dog.. Definitely come back. Big thumbs up keep doing whst yout doing guys 👍👍👍
