Booked my sunday dinner for 5pm. Service was fast and I soon went to get my dinner from carvery. The Service was very efficient. The overall food was cooked beautifully. I spoke to the chef who is karl and i thanked him for the way the food was cooked. Overall very pleased for this carvery offers quality food at a bargain price.

We had a 30th birthday for our son there was 10 of us eating, we ordered off both menus and was told it could be a forty minute wait, which was fine. It must of only been 20 25 minutes. Everything was done to perfection. The food was beautiful and the young ladies serving us did very well indeed looking after us.All staff was amazing. Thank you for a lovely evening ❤️

I was here the other week with a friend of mine. I had no idea the place even existed and I live a 5 minute drive away! The staff were absolutely wonderful. I was gutted there was no mash, and the young woman behind the bar got me mash. The carvery was decent, nothing at all special, and I would go again. My friend and I particularly liked that there was sweetcorn available! The gravy dish had a very awkward lid though and the spoon/lid kept falling in it and a comment was made by another customer along the lines of "do I have to put my hand in there now and get the lid out?" which did raise some concerns between my friend and I. Anyway, I am sure I'll be back there again soon. Thanks for the great service.

Nice inside, but didnt look very inviting from outside. Needs a good spruce up. Lady on the bar was fantastic. Very welcoming and friendly. We opted for the carvery, which was ok. But veg waterlogged and only luke warm. Husband asked for Death by Chocolate for desert, which was nice. Joked with barmaid that it hadnt worked! Better luck next time!

Very average Sunday carvery. Food wasn't great and the place is a bit dark and gloomy, staff didn't really play a role at all other than to bring us the wrong amount of cutlery twice in a row and place handfuls of small mayo and ketchup packets in the middle of the table

Staff at the bar could be a little more welcoming, the general atmosphere isn't as warm and welcoming as it could be and the carvery menu shows 4 meats available where as there are only 3. Only visited once and haven't yet been on a Sunday so it could just have been a one off but for a Friday night they were very quiet.

I've been to this pub multiple times with different friends & family and we've all been impressed how good it is. Family friendly and lovely food especially the Carvery. It's surrounding may put you off, ignore this as looks can be deceiving. Fully recommended it, will go again.

We’ve been many times to The Madebrook and it’s the first time we’ve been disappointed. I had a burger for a change and, although the burger was good, the bread had been microwaved to defrost or freshen up and it was awful - like concrete and inedible. The chips had been refried in what tasted like old oil and I was left with a distinctly fishy aftertaste. My wife’s Carvery was only average. The cauliflower cheese was good but the new potatoes were quite soggy with standing in hot water and the beef was average. We didn’t have time to complain in depth because, due to appointments we were on a tight schedule. Sorry Madebrook, please get back to your Pre pandemic standards.

I came here with my family on 6th September and felt the need to write a review which I don't normally do. Ok lets start with the good. The staff, I delt with 3 members of staff on my vist the woman who showed us to our table and despite her having a bad day (hot water balottle needed, god I love being a bloke) she plowed through and did a great job, she's fantatic with children and has the time to talk to the customers and definitely goes that extra mile a credit to the establishment. The young lady behind the till very polite and patient. The woman cutting the meat again very polite. The food was delicious despite the fact that they had no turkey because of the time of day, our table was booked last minute and at 6pm so lesson learnt. The bad, they ran out turkey but playing devils advocate there because of the time of day and the beef was a little dry but again see above. I would definitely eat here again and would highly recommend to anyone.

Went for our family Christmas/birthday dinner here whilst it was just a normal carvery menu with festive meal added it was very enjoyable. The staff were polite and helpful we had a 1 year old with us the high chair was adequate and functional although we did have to keep lifting her up as she kept sliding down on the seat. A good time was had by all and for that I'd like to say thank you to the staff involved

What a wonderful carvery so well cooked and well presented, a choice of meats and vegetables staff were pleasant and friendly. I will definitely be back for another meal. 28th 8 2019 Well I've been back a few times since l wrote my review and l have not been disappointed, food is well presented and cooked the staff are lovely and helpful. The Madebrook has had a new supplier for its broadband and the last few days the card machine is a bit slow, so paying is a bit slow if paying by card but this is beening dealt with. 😊

Carvery nice although got the last bit so meat portion very small. The peas were like bullets.. Had to go back and queue again at the bar for our deserts. 30 min later managed to order inspite of 2 so called waitresses standing at the small bar having a chin wag then telling us the card machine doesn't work disappoined to be honest a complete shambles went home never to return.

I had the strangest omelette I have ever eaten. It tasted like it contained ham and mushroom as I requested, but loads of cheese I didn't. The cheese completely overpowered everything and made it strangely claggy in the mouth. Very weird.

Carvery not as good as it used to be. The meat is cut wafer thin and veg are mostly frozen. Would be nice to have some swede, parsnips and green cabbage .. Instead of peas sweetcorn and carrots !

Always a good option to the chain carveries. A choice of pie or three or four different meats plus all the veg you can pile onto your plate for under a fiver. Vegetarian option is always declared "excellent" by my dining partner - a type of spicy, beany, nut roast with an optional slice of goat's cheese on top. Pile on your veg, cover with veggie gravy and you're good to go.
