Reviews of Toby Carvery Telford
C. H.
Want to say a massive thanks to Tash, who was Possibly the nicest and most attentive waitress we had ever encountered, she was fantastic!
Vegan food option here is really decent and the food itself is hearty! And it’s such well priced! Will be back.
M.
The venue is a tired and grubby looking. The decor is in need of some attention. There appeared to be issues with the kitchen being able to keep up with demand. There were delaying tactics in place to try and stem the flow of customers to the carvery. The food served was at best warm. It was not hot food. The floor around the carvery area was covered in food. We had a very attentive waitress who came to clear our plates as soon as we put our cutlery down. She asked if we wanted dessert and we ask for a few minutes. We had to beckon her over 25 minutes later. The staff seemed anxious - I don't know whether there was a manager observing them but they seemed to be trying to not mess up but were messing up. All in all, the food presentation could have been better, the cleaning better but the place just needs a revamp.
B.
Absolute feast. Delicious. Everything was top quality, fresh and hot. Super service by all. Really enjoyed it. Will be back for more. 👍
s. r.
Absolute bargain for the money. A massive feed. Left very full. Staff very polite. I've not used for a long time but now I'm sure I'll use more often.

We went on Sunday for a family member's birthday. Unfortunately, the earliest time we could book was at one of the peak times, just after 3.00pm. The car park was almost full and the restaurant was extremely busy with massive queues at the carvery. Only one chef was carving/serving at one point. There must have been up to 30 people in front of us. When more chefs came out, the queue moved a lot faster. The food was hot, tasty and there was a great variety of vegetables and plenty of meat. Incidentally, the phone booking worked perfectly. The staff were kind, very polite and helpful.
A. R.
The actual carvery was of a high standard and very enjoyable. I do feel however that the staff (except for one) were not very welcoming creating a flat atmosphere. Also staff attire left alot to be desired
They need to present themselves much better in my opinion in order for the Toby reputation to be upheld.
Fortunately the food was good.
S. S.
Popped in today for a pit stop. So much better than last time we came. All the staff were very welcoming, the new Manager has done a good job. Will defiantly eat next time we visit.
J. T.
I come here every other week with my 6-year-old daughter who has autism. I am always made to feel welcome, particularly by a lovely polite man named Kyle who always remembers my name and where my daughter prefers to sit. Food is great too. Great customer service from staff such as Kyle make our visit a pleasurable one every time. Thank you Kyle, your good manners, kindness and effort goes a long way.
C. W.
Very welcoming upon arrival, the restaurant area was extremely busy being school holidays and the deal kids eat for a £1 offer was on, due to being so busy meat was running very low only having one left, this was a disappointment but puddings made up for that.
All staff was working flat out yet was nonstop friendly and polite with nothing be to much trouble, we was looked after by a staff member called Jay whom provided exceptional customer service being very professional and polite, will definitely visit again.
M. M.
We did enjoy our carvery and we are sorry we couldn't order dessert but we was full up after the Carvery. The waiter also was too ask for any allergy and he showed me us the menu ingredutes. The only thing was we had to wait for our bill, but we can see it was busy so we didn't complain. My dad enjoyed his birthday meal and drinks.
T.
It was busy today! Asked why and they were short staffed. Still, all staff were pleasant and friendly and served us with smiles on their faces and with a professional manner. Food was great even though they ran out of yorkshire puddings, be definitely go again as I truly can't fault the staff on this visit.
G. R.
Visited this evening for a Sunday carvery. Whilst there were sadly no Yorkshire puddings, this was more than made up by our excellent server Jay. A real credit to the restaurant, Jay had a fantastic attitude and was really engaging with our youngest diner in the group. He was funny, helpful and made the visit really memorable. On our next visit I hope we are served by him again.
D.
The staff at this restaurant did an absolutely amazing job in this heat, particularly Zoe, the head chef whose attention to detail never wavered though she was working under the hot lamps of the servery in this heat.
She wouldn’t let me buy her a drink, so I thought I’d publicly thank her on here.
Well done to you and your staff!
S. T.
Food was lovely customer service was lovely. Only downfall the toilets... there was a sign on the door saying please wash your hands ... if I had a marker pen I would've wrote on there please wash your floor... my shoes was sticking to the floor as if it was a nightclub dance floor sticky with spilt drinks ... maybe it was the cleaning products they use I dunno but 🤷♀️
N. B.
Absolutely outstanding customer service from Kyle, Jade and Josh. Nothing was too much trouble and happy to spend time talking to us. Food was delicious with plenty of meat given by the server. Can't recommend this place any more highly. Thank you!
T.
Jay was a top man! Really friendly service, carvery chef was happy which is always great to see. The quality/level of service that should be delivered in all restaurants. Especially given this was a holiday meal, solid 5/5

CARVERY
nice food we been here loads & always have carvey kids love coming back here love how you can help yourself so you can get as much or as little as you want prices are perfect for familys our plates were over flowing 2 happy adults 4 very happy children staff are lovely & freindly can't fault them ive been there when they have been really really busy but yet staff remain carlm and polite
L. C.
Great Carvery & bargain price with special week day discount sign up to the website, really nice food & staff very helpful & happy
c. b.
All good..... But I couldn't chew the beef 😫 everything else was nice.
i. c.
Ok it was 1600 when we arrived food was all dried up under those lights, if they are not in use cover them up,also the plastic spoons were very hot I mentioned it to the gent that was serving us he said in a very arrogant manner that's what the serviettes are for, there was no mention to use them. Also there was food on the floor it took someone 45 minutes before it was cleaned up, taking into consideration I had some on my shoes and the gent who showed us where to sit knew about this because I showed him but he did nothing. I have to say it was not as good as the one in Worcester South the staff there are very attentive to all who enter. I will not be going to this place again.
V. M.
I had a very good carvery here. It could do with a bit of TLC but the food was very good as usual and the staff friendly and polite.
Excellent value for money!
R. K.
Went there with my family, the only meat they had was beef but that didn't take away from the meal, which was lovely everything was cooked beautifully. Great atmosphere.
Our server was friendly and a great guy!
C. K.
Mega busy but little queuing time. Staff were on hand to monitor the food and were continuously replenishing dishes. The only thing that wasn't monitored was the sauces and gravy however when I asked staff about it they sorted it quickly.
S. P.
First visit since covid struck, the meal was OK but not very hot, the staff seemed to be a little stressed they were closing at 7pm for a staff meeting? We noticed they were turning a lot of customers away so it does seem to be popular, we will go again x
R. H.
Some of the staff seemed abit to busy for us but most of the staff were very polite and helpful, the food was absolutely amazing and it was very child friendly they read our notes on our booking which I find other places I visit they don’t always do that, the building is very clean and easy to navigate around
D. S.
I always rated Toby carveries as one of the best... not the cheapest, but worth that bit extra. Sadly my experience recently has been that the food and choice on the carvery, especially veg, has gone downhill.
H. L.
Came for a Carvery and was greeted by Jay, who was very friendly and welcoming. Catered for all our needs and was a lovely night overall :)
c. k.
Food was nice but wait was far too long, Staff seemed disorganised and the hygiene wasn't upto scratch. If you avoid certain meats due to religion then avoid coming here, cross contamination of pork and beef.
L. “. H.
We went here for my sons 25th birthday. He was working a late shift that day so instead of dinner we took him out for breakfast. Plenty of food available and we had the unlimited tea and coffee option as well. Everything was clean, well cooked and great presentation. I'm really fussy on coffee and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of it. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They agreed to bring a cake to the table I had brought with me, they lit it and led the happy birthday song. Nothing was too much trouble and we didn't feel at all rushed. Definitely go back again and would recommend.
O. S.
Had a great time today, Jay was really nice, friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone as food is affordable and tasty!
D.
Good food plenty of it as you would expect, excellent
polite service even though it was just the one waiter.
D. B.
We were waited on by Jay, he did a very good job in taking our order for drinks then showing us the table we were on, took our food order answered questions and did a very good job, we all enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere, one suggestion, if it is at all possible, in the case of being in a long que if two chiefs could serve it would help, as we stood for 10 minutes in the que which is not good for anyone disabled like my wife and I. Apart from that well done.
A. L.
Came in for a late lunch on a Bank Holiday afternoon. Staff were very friendly. Excellent choice of carvery dishes but everything had clearly been out for a while as food was a bit dry. But very tasty overall.
R.
Terrible customer service, long que time since only one guy carving...NO YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS?? If you're going to make something a selling point and you don't have it, customers should be informed on the door.
D. C.
The only criticism I have is that there is always a very large queue out of the door which on a cold day with elderly relatives isn't good. There appeared to be lots of empty tables, so feel they should clear the queue quicker. We had a table booked, as did others but wasn't seated until after time booked and others didn't eat until over an hour later than booking.
The food was lovely except the beef on one meal wasn't good but staff compensated for this.
A. D.
Although the staff were polite and friendly we found service for table allocation was slow considering they were not busy. Carvery service was very slow and cauliflower cheese was dry and unapitising everything else was ok, have had better else where. Expected better as Toby are known for thier Carvery. On a positive excellent disability access and helpful staff re.disability.
s. j.
Lovely food but the que was very long took around 20 minutes to get back to my seat which everyone was finished eating, but the staff are friendly, best too book a table or you might be turned away if busy
R. C.
Need to improve on the meat. The beef was very fatty and chewy . Few of us didn't eat the beef
A. C.
Big meals, however, some of the veg was not cooked enough. Very pleasant sitting outside and had a travel lodge next to it, hand for short says.
M. C.
Food was three stars. Only 2 meats and it was warm at best the other star was for the staff. They were lovely 🙂
L. J.
Jay our waiter was very positive and polite the food was great although a very busy venue the meal was lovely and we hope to visit again
R. F.
Love the carvery and the atmosphere also the fact you aren't pressured to buy extras or rushed to pay your bill and its value for money a carvery a dessert and 9 drink refills was there maybe 4 hours and it was £12 something
J. E.
The food was very tasty, just had to wait for someone from the kitchen to carve the meat and also had to ask for gravy as there was none out
G. T.
Dined in and it was delicious, slightly disappointed that they inly had 2 meats for a Saturday night but everything was hot and the waitress Jade was really friendly and helpful to our party
M. D.
Had a super dinner here
The staff were excellent five stars thanks
J. W.
We had a fabulous meal , all meats available, all staff working very hard to keep on top of everything , struggling a little bit ,we have visted twice in the last week .first visit was a sunday , absolutely manic we were treated with friendly staff who apologised our table had not yet been vacated so we went to the bar , ordered our drinks and once our table was cleared and relayed we went for food , we were promised knives asap but having waited almost 15 minutes to get our food we were surprised to still be waiting for them at our table , I don't want to blame anyone in particular as everyone was rushed off there feet , so maybe provide some more cutlery that can come out on occasions like this .2nd visit on the 30th June, special 50% off voucher hence the visit again the food was fabulous service always friendly staff but a lack of cutlery , really not that it would put me off bringing my family again
d. f.
We really enjoyed our first ever visit to toby carvery as a family I thought it was worth every penny the meat was very tasty and the veg was cooked perfectly and the kids really enjoyed the unlimited drinks
T. T.
Great parking all on the level, car park is full of stones. Wheelchair friendly too. Booking a table is advisable.
A. R.
Food was good but you spend far too long in the queue for food as we have young children we have to queue up separately meaning we can't all start our sinners together.
D. A.
Staff very polite friendly and welcoming. Carvery well stocked. Chef was a bit grumpy.
K. J.
We have just been for a carvery lovely food and the lady serving our table Jade was so lovely nothing was too much trouble absolutely lovely lady.
F. L.
My son just took me for lunch as I can say food was very good carnt say the same for the chef if that's what he is has no customer service carnt even smile or speak nicely to customers
H. M.
Clean and friendly despite annoying customers in front of us in the queue.
The food was delicious, service prompt, and upsell was subtle and natural and not pushy.
B. L.
Lovely carvery with very helpful staff. We went on a Sunday dinner time so we did have to queue for our food but it was worth the wait.
R. E.
Been here a few times and wasn't all that great went there only the other and it's improved massively. Friendly staff chefs where spot on and service was genuine. Will be returning again
M. S.
Lovely food at reasonable prices.
The guy doing the carvery was incredibly friendly and engaging.
L. “. L. B. T. M. B.
Had great service from Jay tonight (he would get 5 stars himself) the food was ok but not as amazing as I’ve had before.
L. C.
We visited today as we were in the area, very welcoming when we arrived, the lady who was at the door when we got there was lovely and went above and beyond with our sons allergies, I asked if we could have a corner table as our son has special needs and was having a bad day, the lady found us one, the drinks came in a timely manner and food was amazing, it was hot and fresh, couldn’t fault it at all. very nice clean welcoming pub with great staff, hope to pop in again when we are back in the area.
R. J.
Jay and danni have been extremely helpful went out of there way to help we will definitely
will be returning. Good food and portion sizes.
J. B.
Booked a table for 1.30. Had a 20 minute wait to be seated plus a 30 minute wait until we could go to food. Once we did go up food was lovely all the trimmings on the carvery 4 selections of meat or a little of all. Food was hot nice selection overall lovely Sunday meal out.
H. M.
We had a new guy serving us today name (jay) he was lovely, kind, polite and very fast with service thank you jay
A. T.
We enjoyed a family meal mid week. Delicious, varied vegetable choice and generous amount of carvery meats. The children always walk away feeling full and with a smile. Friendly and attentive service from Sarah at this Wellington restaurant.
A. H.
Lovely and friendly atmosphere lovely carvery good quality well cooked. All the staff were very friendly but professional delivering their service. Will DEFINATELY visit again .
D. S.
We popped in on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation and the staff were very welcoming and accommodating . From the second we stepped through the doors we couldn't wait to tuck into the delicious carvery we could smell and we wasn't disappointed at all, the food was cooked to perfection with good sized portions of the meat choices, a giant yorkie and a help yourself selection of vegetables , with the most tasty mash we've had in a while . The service also was amazing the lovely gentleman that looked after us was very cheerful and nothing was too much trouble he came over several times to take care of all of our needs and to make sure everything was to our liking . We will definitely be going in for another visit soon .
A. F.
Myself and partner took our 5 children here, I have got to say on our first visit we wasn't very Happy... but I am now pleased to say we did go back to give them another go and it was perfect, all the food was cooked spot on even our son who is a very fussy eater left there with a very full tummy 😁 and I must say if you go definitely try the deserts they we're all so bloody yummy... I also have to say the manger that was working there (sarah) was so bloody friendly, kind, helpful and is fantastic at her job! I'm so glad we went back and would recommend everyone to try this place or even give them another chance if you wasn't to happy the first time... our family will definitely be going back xx
M. S.
Such great staff and food, they always try to accommodate every customer here. Great work guys and thank you for my regular morning breakfast & coffee ☕
J. D.
We (there was a group of us) were all very happy with our food today, we are vegan, and yes there are vegan options in the menu, but we just wanted vegetables no sides, the veg was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing, the roast potatoes were also delicious, I had the sorbet as that's also vegan, the others had a crumble with custard as that is all vegan too, and it was so good. The service was excellent tonight too, the staff are super nice and friendly, your food doesn't take long to arrive and it's all reasonably priced too. We were all very happy with our meals, definitely worth trying them out.
A. B.
Great tasting carvery but I think they may have been short staffed, fur to the Jubilee because the organisation wasn't quite as good as usual. Bad start by have no real(ish) ale. Then no Yorkshire puddings and finally, no gravy. The gravy came after a few minutes and the Yorky puddings came after 10 minutes.
C. B.
Quick and friendly service from Jay.
Food was really good and plenty of choice of meat.
a. w.
We came here when they did the 50% off mains and it was a shame as there was no veg or meat and it took ages to get served at the serving station, we put in an email they gave us free carvery etc.
We went back today and it was a whole load better there was more choice in veg and meat. The turkey, pork and gammon were lovely as well, the veg was really nice as well, the gravy was a lot better than before which was watery and lumpy but today it was spot on and lovely.
The staff were very polite and nice and it was busy when we went as well.
Will come back again :)
R. J. (.
Reasonable selection of breakfast items from the 'all you can eat' buffet. Sometimes a bit slow at keeping up with the food items running out and having to wait for a fresh batch.
m. j.
Lovely food! Lovely atmosphere and amazing service by Jade! She was lovely with us and our kids.
l. m.
Had a lovely meeting with my soon to be sister-in-law and our/my mother-in-law
Great food. Kind staff.
We spent hours there because we are leaving each other for California and hated to go.
Paid the bill but then got more drinks and no one minded a bit. Family time is so precious
Thank you so much
T. W.
Food was your typical carvery. Jay was really pleasant and helpfull!
O. C.
Took 40 minutes to get seated even though we booked online. However the woman seating people was doing the best she could and when she noticed one of our party was pregnant moved us to a table with more space which was appreciated. Food was hit an miss and the advertised lamb was nowhere to be seen. Toilets were small and covered in graffiti and in need of a clean. Probably caught it on a bad day but not in a rush to return.
T. h. b.
The food was absolutely amazing had a fantastic time with the kids as they chose exactly what went on there plates.
L. P.
Not to busy, but going a bit later in the day can reduce your choice of meats at the carvery, but still good value
l. J.
We visited Apley Arms Telford last Sunday and had another great experience. Jade our server was amazing
L. L.
Nice place. Food is usually good with a wide range of choice, however if it's been very busy expect to see the chef scraping at the turkey carcass to get you some turkey! The Yorkshire puddings are often nice and crispy too, however sometimes you are given the one that hasn't risen LOL! You cannot beat a Toby for a carvery in my opinion, yes some may be better than others but this one is good. My only negatives about the Telford Toby is that the drinks refill machine has a lot less flavours than some Toby's I've been in, plus they often run out of gravy fast and it takes ages to get anymore. You could always take some Bisto in a flask I suppose LOL!
But a totally recommended place for a carvery with some very nice staff.
I. N.
Nice, clean location. Parking wasn't the best signposted but lucky it was quiet.
M. A.
The breakfast is the best gabds diw fantastic service will come again
R. J.
Friendly staff, food is ok for the money. If we're looking for a cheap Sunday carvery then this is where we come. 😁
D. W.
Food not to bad, but atmosphere not very good between the 2 x chefs.
t. T.
The staff were very helpful I am on sticks and they helped me with my carvery and put gravy in a separate bowel for safety
D. H.
The best carvery we have ever had. Everything cooked to perfection.
R. M.
A party of 6 went to the Toby at 12.30 couldn't falter it lovely meal and staff were very helpful and welcoming
I. L.
The food was delicious and the staff were really nice
k. g.
Food was great and we had wonder service from jay too
L. A.
Food was lovely as always. Thank you to Jade and Kyle for their excellent customer service!
B. H.
Our waitress was lovely, very friendly. The food was lovely.
N. P.
Booking recommended. Freshly cooked tasty food. Helpful, friendly staff.
C. B. (.
Apart from staff meeting going on while customers eating it was fine. Roast potatoes burnt and handles for vegetables to hot o handle without napkin. Plus side , plenty of meat given.
O. H.
Good atmosphere. Very hot but good friendly staff. Took my family and was treated very well, even given the choice if we didn't like where we were sat.
E. M.
We decided to go to Toby Carvery as previous experience and food has been great. Unfortunately this visit wasn't the greatest. The manager and hosts were absolutely fab. Very attentive, welcoming and a real cheery attitude the let down was the carver tonight. He was moody, looked like he didn't want to be there and if he could of thrown the plates at us I'm sure he would of. He didnt say smile or say thank you, the only time he spoke was to ask "Yorkie" not even a question just one word.Never asked what size meals we wanted, when I asked if there were any more roast potatoes he snatched the bowl away and said well they will bring some in abit. He was the only let down as he made us feel like we were a inconvenience. The carver before him was polite and talkative to the customers he served but the other gentleman took over and that was a disappointment.
J. S.
Not bad but not great, definitely needs to be more staff waiting the tables, and the hole your sat down and then invited to get your food,
What got me the order the drinks order was taken and then sat there for waiting 20minutes so went to find out what's going on to be told have you ordered drinks ermm yeah you taken the order, then to wait again to be told when we can go and get are food,
Roast was good but now here's chestnut, hot chocolate cake, if you cooked that thing anymore I'd think I' was at a funeral service, nastiest dessert I have had in entire life, burnt is a understatement
M. G.
Called here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. For the price you pay for a breakfast, it represents great value, but when you factor in the additional cost of drinks, the price goes up quite quickly. Bottomless coffee and tea is a winner. The medium orange juice are a bit of an up sell.
Overall, everything was well cooked, although on this occasion, they had no white bread, plum tomatoes or hash browns!
The service was good, but sometimes a bit slow on the refills of hot drinks.
I would call here again, and definitely if I was staying at the hotel next door.
M. X.
Food was luke warm, gravy wasn't hot either which made the dinner even colder. If the food was hot it would have been far more enjoyable. We continued to eat as we were very hungry.
We advised the waiter and waitress of this, nothing was offered to compensate but an apology was given. Service was also quite slow and it wasn't very busy at this time.
Usually find you have to go when food is being served fresh out the kitchen for it to be at its best. When breakfast changes to dinner its always nice then.
C. B.
The best breakfast experience I've had in a LONG time, service was excellent, the lady out front was very attentive and didn't miss a beat. All staff members were friendly helpful and diligent.
The food was delicious, fresh, hot and plentiful!
The venue was clean, tidy and well organised.
Cannot fault this place at all I will recommend and visit again!
l. t.
Great meal with the family very happy environment and jay was very helpful !
D. W.
Fantastic breakfast. First time seeing get a Yorkshire pudding with bacon in it... very nice. Unlimited coffee refill works well in a morning too
S. P.
Perhaps more veg without butter, otherwise it was a lovely roast dinner suited to my dairy free needs.
S. G.
Just had a carvery delivered from here . Beautiful and very welcome after a difficult day . My only critique would be that they cook the cauliflower a little longer for my taste anyway . Very yummy 😋
H. L.
Me and my boyfriend visited a few days ago for a carvery and we want to thank Kyle, the chef and the rest of the team for being so friendly and accommodating towards his food allergies. Everyone was so attentive and made sure there was minimum cross contamination - the chef plated everything up and took my boyfriends meal to our table himself. We are so grateful and will be returning soon :)
C. B.
The waiter Jay was great 😃 very polite and friendly
F. A.
First experience with Takeaway Sunday Carvery.
The manager and staff warm, welcoming and efficient.
Food was excellent, kept warm on 30 min journey home and so filling.
Definitely worth a return visit
O. C.
I really enjoyed the food, also the staff is nice here and the atmosphere as well.
J. W.
Excellent food and service for the price. Only negative you have to book a table on my mobile no facility to speak to a person. Has not put me off going would recommend.
D. F.
Booked well advance online as required but especially due to the time of dining on a Sunday evening.
Friendly welcome after a short wait and shown to our table immediately. Good explanation of the food collection process.
The selection of veggies was more varied than usual with a couple of unusual options available. The expected choice of meat was there, though the lamb especially appeared too dry for my partners taste this could have just been down to it coming to the end of joint so had dried out a bit.
Although eating relatively early in the evening, all the waiting staff seemed to be packing up and going home including the waiter who had taken our desert order. After waiting 20 minutes or so, we asked the manageress, who appeared to be the only person still working, and she brought them to us immediately. Both had been standing for a while as my ice cream had melted. Unfortunately, we had a similar wait when it came to paying the bill.
Would considering coming back if in the area, but other others are available.
G. H.
excellent meal and very friendly staff specially jay
R. D.
This place is hit or miss. Sometimes, it's great, and other times, it's not so great.
The last time I went, the cauliflower cheese was literally frozen and needed to go back to be thawed, the meat was also green. Other times however, were great where everything was cooked perfectly, you've got a 50/50 chance if having a good time lol!
J. T.
Food was hot but very tired. Ate at 5.30pm. Yorkshires like frizbees, roast pots well over cooked, mash solid. Carrots were nice. No flakes for ice cream and wafers were like leather. Used to be a good place to go for a carvery but not any more.
A. D.
Booked table 3 hours before arrived and was greeted with them saying they running 10 mins behind. Under up waiting for a table that I had booked for about 30 mins.. according to the staff they had tables with bills paid but waiting for families to vacate .. it was such a shame in my opinion if u have tables booked and they paid make them leave
Not to.mention half the veg wasn't there for a Sunday and meant to be 4 meats when barely 3 and no sausages for king-size
My view in this local favourite place to eat has gone down
K. L.
Been here a couple of times and food is always good , but visited last wk and the waitress dropped a pint of lager and blackcurrant over my husband. OK, accidents happen and she was very apologetic but I was so annoyed that the manager never even came over to check we were OK or to even apologise. Terrible customer service!.. my husband was soaked through his shorts.
I have worked in hospitality most of my life and for a manager not to come over I thought was disgraceful and not to even offer a free drink!
S. K.
All you can eat breakfast on Sunday morning. Fantastic.
p. c.
Local Toby nice roast dinner in the week last time the chef was very tight with the meat slicing very thin little bits. But tonight was better shame there was only choice of turkey and pork with remaining scraps of beef
L. M.
Very nice. Would advise booking as very busy, but there's a reason for that. They were also doing deliveries too
K. J.
Didn't book and 45 min wait for a table for 2 so not great.
s. B.
Went for early tea wasn't to busy food was excellent and the service
J. H.
The food and the carvers were on point with Mac and Cheese being a option! 🤤
But as you can see not 5 star, the service wasn't great. Not sure if understaffed because test and trace but the staff were dashing around like headless chickens.
The current covid-safe procedure is one table up to the serving station at a time... Which on a Sunday can mean that you may end up waiting; as the table adjacent found out, up to half a hour for a waitress to come over to give them an update, not to let them know they can go up... An update of when they may be able to go up, I'd kinda want that as an opener of "you may be waiting up to X amount of time for the food".
Again the food was delicious, the portion sizes were on point and the staff DID accommodate for the small children in the group with high chairs, but I wouldn't go back whilst there is a pandemic about.
p. a.
Once again! Great food and good service even though it was very busy.
r. l.
The food is just as good as other carverys. However the have seemed limited on safe each time we visit. I feel sorry for the fabulous lady manager who runs around having to do what looks like most of the work. We were served quickly with drinks and had a lovely welcome. But we did have to ask of we could go to the carvery as it seemed we had been forgotten as others were going before is that came in after we did and it was a job to try and get the one waiters attention for the bill. I just think they need more staff.
A. W.
Quick to help with any needs and great food, always the best carvery
K. P.
Visited tonight and not a good experience sadly. Food was dried out from the lamps. One staff member raised her voice to an unhappy customer saying " we are short staffed nothing I can do " when they were left waiting 10 mins for gravy
Restaurant was quiet but service slow
E. N.
Food was ok. Not big choice of draught beer for the men
J. R.
Love a mid week Toby, great service, generally good food just disappointing carrots 🥕 we’re not available due to the prep staff not preparing enough 😢
J. G.
After along time of not going out
How wonderful to be greeted by the Toby team at shawbirch such great service.
I felt safe in a not overcrowded environment
Carvery with addition of wonderful lamb plentiful and able to self serve
Waitress service attentive and cheerful we could not have asked for more we will definitely be back
Well done
P. P.
The best Yorkshire puddings I've ever eaten.
B. G.
Not as good as previously. The sprouts were very undercooked, almost as if they had jumped into the pan and straight out. The stalks hadn't been trimmed enough. The mash wasn't very hot either. A good choice of vegetables and for the meats there was pork, beef, gammon or lamb.
L. G.
My husband and I attended this wonderful establishment this evening (15/07/2020 at 18.30 hours).
We would like to thank Sarah and her team for their hospitality, time, effort, thought, selection of quality food on the carvery, service and the way they have adapted to the government guidelines regarding Covid safety.
We enjoyed our meals and refillable cokes.
We will be back soon.
Thank you.
Best wishes.
Lydia & Neville.
L. M.
Long waiting time to be served, ran out of Yorkshire pudding
T. M.
Great service everyone is treated like a food critic, clean tidy happy atmosphere much better service than 6 months ago
Update, went today very busy unhappy chefs , really wasn't a great atmosphere at all
M. H.
My first visit to a Toby since lockdown and had a very good experience. Excellent protocols in place and well explained on entry and when we were seated. It's a bit strange having the veg put on for you but it actually helps that I just don't pile it on like normal lol. Had the beef and gammon which were both as good as my local Toby (Knowle) but portions definitely better here!
J. K.
Made welcome by a very pleasant member of staff . very clean place and covis rules still apply which made us feel comfortable and safe good choice of food if you didn't want a carvery and would definitely return next time in the area
K. O.
The service was great and the food was lovely
D. F.
Toby are consistent with quality and great standards of staff, food and cleanliness from my experience...never disappoints.
R. P.
Friendly, helpful staff and really good carvery
A. P.
. We were shown to a table very quickly, but then ignored for 10 minutes before I had to call a member of staff over to ask if she would take our order even though there weren't many customers there at the time. The veg containers were virtually empty, and weren't replaced very quickly. Food wasn't very warm either and there is nothing worse than a cold roast. Had to ask staff for a glass 3 times before we eventually got one for the refillable drink machine. Not the best visit there on this occasion unfortunately
D. W.
Great carvery. Really difficult to fault it for the money. Good pint of Doombar aswell.
A. J. L.
2nd visit here. Lovely carvery
J. H.
Rosie and Amelia looked after me very well at a very busy stressful time so hats off to them
L. B.
The food and service were awesome!
C. B.
Amelia and jade are absolutely fabulous. Credit to the team
G. H.
We had a very good breakfast, my vegetarian sausages were cooked fresh (and they were soya rather than vegetable filled). The serving stations were monitored closely and refilled as soon as needed.
The staff were very friendly, the only downside is there was no warning when the food is packed away when breakfast finishes.
We will definitely go again as there is a fantastic vegetarian and vegan menu.
A. K.
Great place to meet up with easy access and free parking. Relaxing environment thanks to welcoming staff and clean spacious table setting. Our friendly waiter Kyle was very attentive and made sure tea and toast arrived promptly and piping hot. Thank you!
M. B.
First time there for Sunday Carvery & Enjoyed it. Great staff service, food lovely & hot. Well worth a visit.
M. “. s. S.
Carvery could have been a bit warmer. Portion size was a bit small, I'm not a big eater and was going to ask for a child's portion...I'm glad I didn't!!
They had also run out of treacle sponge! For goodness sake, it's only 1725, ORDER MORE!!!
On the plus side, staff were friendly and helpful.
p.
Good veggie food and attentive staff
K. s.
had sunday lunch at 12.30 & food was lovely. loved kyle & sophie they we’re very thoughtful people towards us & lady who took our plate to table natalie (i think that was her name) was lovely & i was cheeky & asked for more gravy which she provided for us 😍
M. R.
Obviously short staffed but Sarah was working her socks off - plus a young guy whose name I didn't catch.
Not sure about kitchen staff status- ordered a club sandwich on ciabatta- got a white baguette. Nice enough but fairly basic.
M. O.
Excellent standard of carvery, unfortunately when I visited this branch I was a vegetarian and was unable to enjoy some of the foods on offer. Would have been nice to have a few more options for vegetarians but what was on offer was very good quality and was very well cooked. Staff were very friendly and enjoyed having a laugh with their customers.
P. B.
We had a voucher towards a Toby carvery and originally went to the one in Tipton, but as it had 40minute waits for seating, and we were due in Shrewsbury in the next couple of hours, we thought we'd make our way over and try the one in Telford. It was still quite busy, but we were greeted with a friendly smile and seated straight away.
Once at the bar we were quickly served and sorted out all our drinks and meals. Refillable soft drinks for most of us. There was quite a queue for food, and as we had ordered veggie options we saw our mains placed in the warm counter a good 15 minutes before we got there.
Four different meats were on offer, lamb, beef, Turkey and gammon but I did feel sorry for some of the meat eaters as some of the meat slices were a just a slither if that! Luckily there was a change of person doing the slicing just as we arrived at the counter and my children got more meat than some of the adults had previously!
Great selection of veg on offer, something for everyone. The only item that let it down was the mac and cheese, it was a full container so hadn't been sat there for long but it was very dried out which was a shame.
I would recommend plenty of napkins in hand when you get to the veggies as the serving spoons were very hot and my usually independent young daughter was unable to serve herself due to the high temperature of them.
Plenty of gravy available, veggie and non veggie, and a small selection of condiments, but no grain or French mustard unfortunately.
Food was great, although it was noticeable that our veggie mains(broccoli and brie parcels) had be stood some considerable time both by the texture and their temperature, but overall it was all very tasty and the family thoroughly enjoyed a good Sunday carvery, we'd definitely call there again in the future.
G. H.
Too long to get seated even though the table was booked. Drinks took an age to arrive even though they were not busy. Floor under and around the table would have benefited from a vacuum. Food was as expected. The venue is working flat out but only just achieving barely adequate. Won't rush back.
S. P.
The carvery was amazing. I can't describe how good it was and I know a lot of big words. The only disappointment was the amount of time it took to cook two platters off the menu. To be fair though, the staff were very apologetic and one of them went into the kitchen to cook it so we didn't have to wait much longer.
j. W.
Always been lovely there. Sarah the host is fab, she thoroughly explained the new "normal" to us. Wasn't much different from before just they now place everything on your plate that you would like. Given 4 stars as the mint sauce was really watered down and the gravey was thinner this visit. Other than that top job!!
i.
After reading some reviews for here I thought I’d leave my own. I’ve never had a carvery so this is based purely on the breakfast and over the past year or more I’ve had quite a few at various times of the morning. I can’t fault it the staff are helpful and the food is very tasty and plentiful for the price they charge and it’s all you can eat it can’t be beaten. The only thing I will say in regards with peoples frustration is you have to time it right, if it’s quiet the food can sit to go cold or if it’s extremely busy the kitchen can’t keep up with demand. With this mind I tend to go first thing when they open everything is freshly cooked and warm, the only downside is the tea taste like dishwater but even with this it’s still worthy of 5 starts I just drink something else.
L. J.
What just happened???? Eaten here tonight. Last here September. Absolutely awful experience. Dirty, dried up food, rude staff. Tonight thought 'even if it's like that again at least we get 50% off with Eat out to Help Out'. What a transformation. A lovely welcome at the door. Shown to our table. I know the bar area isn't open but everything ordered at the table. Cutlery, condiments and drinks brought on a tray. Up to get the food. All served by chef. Gorgeous succulent meats. All veg fresh, slightly al dente, roast potatoes proper and delish. Hot piping gravy. Absolutely no faulting our night at all. All staff happy and very helpful. Very clean and very organised. I'm in shock. Please continue this way. I know we are in a world of cleanliness etc etc but this is the way forward. I will definitely be eating here more often. My faith has been restored. Well done.
C. W.
Bit of a wait for our table even though we booked. It was a Sunday and busy but the food was lovely!!
m. T.
Ran out of Yorkshire pudding and cranberry sauce

Been away for the weekend and we were on our way back with three very tired and hungry children. We all ordered carvery but unfortunately my daughter dropped hers on the floor. The chef and waiter couldn't ha e bene nicer about it. She was very upset and they were lovely. Thank you so much!
Also lovely welcome when we came in and the food was so nice. Would recommend 😁
l. d.
Had a beast of a carvery. Don't usually see lamb on offer so I went for that. Lush 2bh👌
C. M.
Me and my husband and a friend of ours just had a beautiful carvery!.. Enjoyed it very much...
Only downfall.. There was a gentleman sitting opposite us, his plate piled high.. Seemed to be enjoying his meal,.. When a member of staff politely asked him if he was enjoying it he said no and refused to pay! Because it was apparently dry and salty.. Silly little man,.. Me thinks he pulled a fast one and ate what he could,..
Well anyway, I'm full and happy, very much enjoyed it... Staff were polite and helpful, and so was the chef👍😁
T. B.
Called in mid afternoon. Had a bit of a wait to get served our carvery as kitchen staff seemed to be chatting out back, but as it wasn't busy I didn't really think too much of it. I did think that the food might be a bit dry with it being so quiet but couldn't be further from the truth, in fact, ended you being one of the best carvery's I've had - huge selection of accompanyments as well as the usual Toby staples. Waiting staff were good too and can't fault the place. Value wise would definitely recommend.
K.
Most food was overcooked - pretty massively. Waiting staff were good, but the server gave one of my friends turkey (which tasted like chicken) when they asked for gammon, and wouldn't switch it. Overall decent experience.
D. J.
Standard Toby Carvery. Sometimes takes a little longer than it should if ordering Vege meals
H. Z.
This was fabulous food and me and my nan and grandad loved it we are with my brother and we had some turkey or beef and it was very nice and not dry it was very nice and I don't see any reason somebody would say that it wasn't! It was one of the best meals I've had in a while we have been there twice this week already! One time for dinner and one time for breakfast and we are going again tomorrow for breakfast as well! We all enjoyed it and will DEFINITELY will be going there as soon as possible! To say once again that we enjoyed it would be an understatement it was FABULOUS, YUMMY, DELICIOUS and I would say the best restaurant my family have been to and we love it!
E. T.
Today was our first visit to a Toby Carvery and won't be our last.
The carvery was absolutely delicious! As were the puddings.
The serving staff were lovely.
They only miss out on a 5 star review because 1, the ladies loos were unstocked and unclean (did advise manager but half an hour later and still no toilet roll) and 2, the manager behaved as if he'd rather be anywhere else. Giving the benefit of doubt, maybe he'd had a rough night or had a personal problem but, the welcome and his customer service throughout was like a wet weekend in Rhyl and nobody enjoys that.
N. F.
A nice carvery meal with a good choice of drinks. Friendly helpful staff. Carpark to the side could do with lighting during the winter nights. I forgot to add the pub was clean and well presented we were seated as we came in, with no waiting and served our food straight away.
P. S.
Good value carvery choice of roasts, good service by all, comfortable surrounds enyoyed the food, recomended a visit. However the walk from the car park needs clearing of debri from the trees
A. Y.
I have been to the Toby carvery several times with my family and have always found the food to be very good; the price is excellent however, the one thing that always let's it down is the customer service from the waiting staff.
I am actually sad that I cannot give Toby Shawbirch a 5 star rating. With a little more training they could achieve it for sure.
D. J.
Came here today (8th April)
Not an amazing experience, stood waiting to be seated for ages, no one at the bar. Eventually we were seated, the waitress who served us was nice and polite, but the food wasnt great, the meat had been there a while by the look of it, and the roast potatoes were terrible, over cooked and hard, wasnt a great choice of veg either etc.
We have been here a few times before, and its always been really good, which is why we came back. But today wasnt good, so maybe it was just an off day.
C. J.
Food was pleasant, place was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful plus there was a nice ambience.
I may have rated it a bit higher but as I was with family I had carvery with them and not something I particularly enjoy. Having said that. It was enjoyable and plentiful.
P. B.
Not too busy midday week. Usually a great choice of vegetables. Staff are really friendly and don't blink when the baby is throwing stuff everywhere. Thank you for your help!
Inexpensive and the app makes it easy to pay for now.
S. T.
Food was brilliant. I had the beef an lamb, my partner had the turkey - no complaints whatsoever. Staff are friendly andattentive but not overly so. The one let down was the toilets which were old in need of a makeover.
J. P.
My family and i went here on 19.1.20. The carvery was lovely. But i just had to write and say that Sarah who was on the desk + sorting lots of other things out was such a lovely person nothing was to much trouble and she was the same with every customer such a cheerful and helpful lady
K. E.
Absolutely loved it, the food was good, the staff were extremely helpful. Even more so, the fact that the three children and mum all have special needs and we had special requests, the staff fell over themselves just trying to make them feel comfortable and safe.
So a big thank you to the staff x
V. R.
I had a lovely dinner today. Was hot and taste y. Would definitely buy again
M. K.
Sadly the service was a bit disorganised. Ended up going to the bar ourselves to order the drinks we had ordered at the table. Another table were returning their drinks as they were incorrect. Yorkshires were bullet proof and there was no meat gravy in either of the 2 pots. The rest of the meal was nice though. Asked to pay by cash and was gestured towards the card machine. 7 pm on a Tuesday, not particularly busy. Maybe just an off day. Wouldn't stop me going again, but if it was the same second time around I think I would give up.
T.
First time going to the Carvery and it was a fantastic experience. The service was excellent as everything was explained to our group and the food was fantastic. I initially didn't think the portion size of meat was going to be enough but when all was said and done I couldn't even finish it.
M. s.
I have not been for a while and don't expect to visit again in the near future. Most of the veg was undercooked for mine and the wife's taste. Expensive compared to other eateries we use and the staff seemed very rushed.
The loos are very small when slightly infirm. Very busy pub so everyone's views may be different to ours. The yorky pubs are to large but mainly empty batter.
K. H.
So this was our first meal out as a family since lockdown and we cannot fault it.
From start to finish we were made to feel safe and were well looked after! My little boy was super looked after by Sarah, nothing was to much trouble.
The food was beautiful to 😊
Thank you so much,
Kelly and sam
S. A.
Food was delicious. Covid restrictions in place and you were fully instructed as to how walk around and when to go up to collect food. Service was great and friendly
T. J.
Popped in to check out the breakfast on a Tuesday around 9:00, expecting a ‘sales-pitch was better than reality ‘ experience, but was very pleasantly surprised! Fried eggs were overdone, so I asked for some fresh soft ones. They magically appeared in under 3 mins! Staff friendly too! Nice smiles! Price was also a nice experience! All you can eat and serve yourself on a dinner plate for £4.49! A couple of new taste experiences on offer too: a bacon and onion breakfast yorkie and fried potatoes with onions and bacon ( a bit like a potato bubble and squeak). Tea & Coffee extra bit on an ‘endless ‘self serve’ basis. Hope they keep this up, if they do, we will be back!
G. J. (. F.
Service good, staff are very welcoming, unfortunately the cutlery was filthy;it looked like someone had used it already and put it back on the table, also the high chair my daughter was given was quite grubby(we cleaned it ourselves) and the food was ok. I would probably go back but they need to keep the place and and equipment a little cleaner. Sorry but it wasn't the best...
M. D.
Gets very busy here on a Sunday lunchtime. Used to be really good value. Carvery is pretty average and so I'd probably spend a bit more to go somewhere with better quality if i wanted a really good meal. Can be a good quick option if not going on a Sunday.
L. M.
Had a lovely meal with friends celebrating a birthday. Staff were lovely and helpful and very welcoming.
L. H.
table service very good meat carver good quailty of food good. the worst problem was at18.15 on a wed even both potatoes had run out and 4 veg were completely empty for at least 10 mins. The potatoes came out, but I had to ask for the veg and in the end there was a queue of 5 people. in the end the poor carvery had to go and restock it himself
A. M.
All you can eat breakfast buffet, what's not to like. Bit disappointed that there was no breakfast gravy for the yorkshire puddings (with bacon and fried onion) but very good value for money.
M. M.
Hadn't been for a while as comments from people on social media had put us off but thought we would give it a try, the service was good from Sarah R and Toby one of chef's on the counter and his colleague, The meat was very good and the choice of vegetables was fantastic and nice and hot. Im giving it 5* as it was the best I'd tasted for a while, keep up the good work.
A. R.
I've been here many times but my experience has been hit and miss. It depends entirely on what time you go, it is often busy, especially on a Sunday. But I would highly rate the breakfast as for £12 you can eat as much as you like with bottomless drinks.
J. E.
The manageress was lovely and couldn't apologise enough for our table reservation being delayed and then the till not working for us to pay our bill. Food was great with one exception one of our party had a very melted sundae.
But we were made welcome and not made to feel rushed at our meals
E. L.
Best carvery! Love it every time
c. h.
Very friendly staff, food is not dry from the temp lights. Stuffing can get hard and stucky but all the veg are in good condition and moist. The gravy is not too thick and the seating is in good condition.
G. O.
Average carvery. Food was drying under the heat of the counter. Was tasty and plentiful let down by dryness. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Overall a OK experience. Good for a quick meal without having to search when staying at the travel lodge.
K. L.
Had a lovely roast after a long journey
S. S.
Csrvery average but all piled on top of one another...be better if seperated so could see what getting. Itens ordered at table then plated by staff. Meal looked a mess but tasted ok. Staff friendly especially our server Kyle..good worker
D.
I'm not a big fan of carvery pubs. However, after a hospital appointment in the morning I was encouraged to go by my friend. I am so glad I did!!
The food here is really exellent, freshly cooked and not watery vegetables which is my pet hate at carverys!
There was a wide selection of meats and vegetables. The gravey is homemade, not the horrible gloopy stuff that some carvery establishments put out. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I also noticed that they do an 'all you can eat full English breakfast' where you can return to the self serving counter and replenish your plate. I'm definitely going to explore that next! The staff there are friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit.
P. A.
Friendly staff, could not fault them. Today a little disappointed about the Calvery, No mash, roast Potatoes where not at all edible.dry, n overcooked, but through past catering experience I would say not a fresh batch n sitting around for some time. Was it worth the price. Not today.
J. R.
The food is okay. It’s never poor but is hit and miss whether it is great or not.
The chefs can be very pleasant and friendly if you bother to speak to them. Some other customers just bark their request to them and don’t have any manors at all.
It can take a while to be seated.
It can take longer to get your drink order taken and it can be so long that you have to go ask for your drinks. Well glasses. We have refillable sodas that you do your self, but it still takes an eternity to get three empty glasses brought over. Ordering deserts is again only possible if you can get anyone’s attention. They often come out very late or even not at all. Taking more then 40 mins to bring out an apple pie and custard when they were just waiting upon the custard being heated up.
All the above is when they are very quiet and staff are just standing around talking to each other.
What’s worst is when the staff are discussing staffing matters and complaining about how poor other staff members are right in front of you.
Very unprofessional.
Hoping they will improve soon.
S. G.
Last 2 visits have been great, had not been for years before that. So was sceptical it would still live up to my expectations, but having been elsewhere for a carvery before I came here, it absolutely blew feather bed in Shrewsbury out of the water. For your carvery cravings this should definitely be high on your list in Shropshire.
J. S.
Loved it! Loads of choice and good quality. Lovely waiting staff. Shouty manageress In red blouse making people uncomfortable.
C. J.
Walk in and within 5 minutes my food was being consumed. Plenty of choice, well cooked, good price. I can't of expected anymore.
First carvery here since new management started, much improved, I'm glad and returned, the last experience was dreadful.
M. M.
Nice place. Good grub. Great prices. Welcome relief from morning spent in nearby PRH hospital. Bar staff attentive. Chef very helpful; came into restaurant to let us know when fresh breakfast items cooked. Very clean venue. Plenty parking. It's a big Thumbs-Up from Team Murf! Thank you!
T. 1.
We booked a table 2 months prior to our visit and requested a high chair. There wasn't one provided. Upon asking the manageress she had one to us within minutes and the place was rammed. She proceeded to take care of us all day and make sure nothing else went wrong (bit it did). She was so professional and took care of everything. Will 100% visit again.
s. w.
Not good on this occasion, staff were almost non existent leading to long waits for deserts and drinks. Personally I don't mind ordering at the bar but it's not what they do.
There was no other potato other than roast which were under cooked
C. N.
The one thing you can day about the TC- it's good value- if your looking for quantity over quality. I'm a veggie, so I just had a vegetable carvery [sic]. I could have had a veggie alternative to the (I think) 3 choices of meat on offer, but I forgot all about ordering it. The food was hot- the spoons VERY hot, so be careful when handling them. My only observation; some of the vegetables were rather overdone [especially the brussel sprouts). There's plenty of parking and a petrol station nearby. All-in-all, I'm glad we went, and would be happy to return.
Ps If you have AA Gold you get a 20% reduction [Mon-Friday only]
g. j.
Bit if a wait for the carvery due to covid restrictions. Food was good. Staff attentive and friendly
P. K.
Enjoyed my roast port, staff were friendly
V. W.
Lovely carvery and lovely staff
A. B.
We have been attending the carvery for a number of years, this being our closest carvery. We started going to this carvery when it was operated by Crown Carvery. Once it changed to Toby there was some improvement. Every time I have visited the beef is always 'fatty' since I am a fussy eater I don't eat the other selection of meats on offer, there could be improvements with this. However overall this is a nice carvery and is lovely visit.
J. C.
After yesterdays experience I will probably not return. Delay in seating and acknowledgement even though pre booked. Had to stand at the carvery counter and be told by the staff to wait as no plates?? Only about 30 people in the pub? The chef was absolutely rude in his manner and conversation with me. Gutted because I asked him would he mind cutting a Yorkshire pudding in half for me. So disappointing as we have visited this pub a number of times. :(
D. B.
Ive been coming here for food for about two weeks now as im staying in the travelodge. It seems the staff want to talk amongst thenselves rather than serve customers. Waited over 20 minutes last night t for a desert tonight no one came close to even coming to me to take my order from me atmy Table which is a waited table .. Food was good tho. I returend the following week and the service was very much improved. Thank you Sarah for the improvements you have made.
C. P.
Great easy welcoming tasty visit x
S. B.
Had breakfast here on Monday before i started work. Extremely polite and friendly tea. Well presented deck with appettising wholesome layout and plenty of choice. The chef on duty was friendly, a new face her personality shone through. Would definately recommend be aware the lYout comes off promptly at 11am so woukd recommend being here by 10.30 to enjoy a leisurely brunch before their lunch service begins at 11.30.
M. E.
Have been using The Carvey for many years & have never had reason to complain. We usually visit mid week. Excellent food, always nice & hot &-the staff are attentive without being on your face.
