Difficult to book - website said there were no tables and they weren't answering the phone, but we went anyway and there were several free tables. Food was excellent, I'm a particular fan of their zucchini fries and chocolate etna, and the seafood pasta didn't disappoint either.

Really nice food but drinks are a little expensive, table service and staff is good and helpful. Let them know if you have a baby (they class them as plus 1) they had to rearrange a table due to that.

Came here on Friday night for a last minute dinner after doing an escape room across the road! There were 8 of us but the staff were able to fit us in. It took us a while to choose but the waiter was patient and helpful. My son found it very difficult to choose as he had something specific in mind that wasn't on the menu! After trying to explain to 3 members of staff what it was he wanted, they were very accommodating and were able to make exactly what he wanted from a combination of other menu items! He loved it and all other meals ordered were very tasty and good size portions. Deserts were delicious, giant profiterole was amazing and the kids loved the chocolate gnocchi! Good price, great service, nice atmosphere, would highly recommend and will definitely return.

The overall experience was okay. Friendly staff and okay food. Bread was burnt to the dish when received however, cobwebs on the fake ivory. 2 customers and a child seated next to us throughout the meal with the child coming up to our table on multiple occasions when the entire restaurant was available and could of been better spread out. I prefer piero's food over this.

Excellent reasonably priced Italian restaurant, staff were friendly. Food ranged from a good selection of pasta dishes to pizza and catered for vegetarians and vegans. Wheelchair friendly.

Went for lunch 1st time out after lockdown. Couldn't have picked a better place to go. From the moment we went in the staff made us feel very comfortable nice warm greeting very attentive. Food was delicious. My brother ordered food from his mobile at the table, we could add anything extra at any time if we wanted and it was brought out quickly. Excellent service. Only downside is toilets are up a long flight of stairs which is difficult for me. Didn't take anything away from a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend.

As a off chance visit the staff here couldn't be more accommodating. Made good space for us as my wife is in a wheelchair and the food was delicious. The disabled toilet is spacious and very clean. All said an excellent restaurant with lovely excellent staff 😊

Very nice evening food was nice apart from sp bolinase needs more meat on it was bland and chocolate browny served in a hot dish I think is wrong as it makes the bottom hard and if a child had it may burn themselves should be served on a cold dish or give customers the choice

We telephoned ahead and booked, when we arrived we received a warm welcome and given hand sanitizer before being seated. The food was quick, warm and well cooked and the portions were a good size, we struggled to finish it all! The staff were lovely and took time when we settled the bill to ask about our holiday. They are keeping their sense of humour and positivity through these tough times, we had a lovely evening. The surroundings are simple and modern with nice music, we couldn't fault it. You can also see into the kitchen where food is being prepped if that is something you like.

Staff are always accomodating and friendly, fair choice on the menu for vegetarian and vegans alike (try the green pea pizza!? It's great!) children's menu is pretty good which he certainly enjoys. Can get busy at times, so I would suggest booking if you are an evening diner, but its normally OK for walk-ins at irregular dining times (late lunch or early dinner) A regular treat for our family!

The waiter we had was very lovely. However they didn't have either of what my dad wanted in stock and when he finally got his food it was cold and the salad was wilting. My grandma had a very nice green soup and she enjoyed that. My pizza was alright, had better at pizza hut etc but it was still nice. Overall I think there are better places to eat out in Truro in terms of food but their service was top class, as I said the waiter was absolutely lovely!

Myself and friends came here for a meal last Sunday evening. Our waitress was really lovely and attentive. I ordered the crab and ricotta half moon pasta. I have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and have always been impressed with their impeccable service and amazing food! They have a great value lunch time offer of two selected dishes for £10. I was given a delicious cup of homemade lemonade whilst I waited for my meal and was served by wonderfully friendly and efficient staff. The restaurant is family friendly and a wonderful place to chill out and enjoy some traditional Italian food.

Food taste & quality excellent, range for a vegan not great ('tho' they do have a make up your own pizza option) & I was interested that the free Lemonade "shot" isn't vegan (didn't bother to ask, but why?!?). Good place. Looks small from the outside but is spacious from inside. The lemonade is delicious, highly recommend the raspberry lemonade. Also the food was delicious and the service was quick. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere but the only bad thing is the staff. Sometimes you feel like you're just an annoyance as a customer. Had to ask for water 4 times and it came after the main did... The man that I supposed was meant to greet us at the bar was rude and seemed preoccupied when taking us to our booked table. Only ever go when there's a good deal on, with the poor service it's not worth full price.

There's a weird thing that they do at Ask now where they come to the table and offer a complimentary shot glass of still lemonade. I guess it's to cleanse the palette. Anyhow it's the smallest glass of lemonade I've ever drunk. The food is always very tasty and the service is reasonably quick and friendly. If you are looking for a decent plate of pasta or a pizza or other Italian dish then this is a good eatery. It's a little noisy, but that's not a deal breaker. Far too many of the deserts are slathered in chocolate for my liking, but that's personal taste. On the whole recommended. Did I mention the teeny weeny complimentary drink?

Nice food and good service. Use of Meerkat 2 for 1 can give good value for money. 4 mains and 4 desserts, plus soft drinks cost us £54. Portion sizes of the mains are adequate. Pizzas are fine, pasta dishes a bit on the small side.

ASK is a huge chain of restaurants and sadly, as with a lot of chain businesses, the branch in Truro reflects the tired, bland and slightly tatty image often found when the brand has become too big. Aside from that though, Truro's ASK is well located for The Plaza cinema, Lemon Quay and the Hall for Cornwall, when it reopens after it's extensive refurbishment. Weirdly this restaurant is in two halves and having been met by a waiter with the bookings at the door, we were promptly shown through another door, then another into a seemingly separate restaurant which smacked of a family room at the back of a big city pub. The waiters were pleasant but they all looked a bit scruffy, as was the paintwork and the loos. The menu was broad but I didn't particularly enjoy my meal. The chicken pieces tasted processed and the pasta looked and texture wise tasted, like octopus legs! Odd. All in all, convenient location, can book online, quick friendly service.

ASK is always a safe bet for child-friendly dining. Nationwide they have the same excellent kids menu (and the adult food is lovely too), plus they have activity sheets / colouringfor the kids. There's often a good discount voucher to be found at local businesses or online. Service is a little unpredictable - on this visit it was terribly slow but usually it's fairly quick.

As is always the case the food in Ask Truro was superb. Excellently cooked and beautifully presented. It is obvious the chefs at this particular Ask really care. What even more refreshing was that the service from Sophia our waitress was absolutely brilliant too. So attentive was she that she noticed when my wife was coughing and immediately brought her a glass of water. Yet at no stage were the staff overbearing. So we were able to relax and enjoy our meal. All in all another excellent meal at Ask Italian and another enjoyable visit to Truro.

I normally have nothing but praise for Ask but my views have been altered somewhat, following our last visit. Their customer service wasn't great! I had booked online for 2 adults, 2 children. When we arrived, the Manager said I had 2 children in the party- correct as we had a 13 and 14 year old with us! This apparently was an error on my part. They may have both looked like adults but technically, they are not. So my bad, I should've booked as 4 adults apparently! Oh and the staff were quite stressy.

The speed of service in Ask is getting slower and slower. Ate there on Saturday and it took half an hour after we were seated before they even asked us what drinks we wanted. There was a 50 minute wait between starter and main course too, with my starter missing the dip it was supposed to come with and my main being taken away from me 10 seconds after it was put there as it was someone else's meal. When asked for a pizza knife for my calzone pizza as the blunt normal knife given was hard going to cut with I was told they don't offer them. 5 minutes later a different waitress turned up with one after all! The last round of drinks we ordered didn't arrive at all. Used to love going there - not anymore :-(
