This small excellent seafood restaurant could be easily overlooked. Tucked away in a side street. The decor is fashionably sparse.
The food was very good. …

Went for a meal for the second time at the Hooked! Restaurant in Truro. I had mussels to start followed by the scallops as a main. My friend had the scallop starter then fish and chips for her main. The scallops were cooked well although I found the texture of the hogs pudding a bit mushy but the flavours compliment each other well. The mussels were good, I chose to have the garlic and white wine sauce which was a little bland but still nice to eat. The fish and chips were lovely! The batter was light and crispy, it also came with homemade tartar sauce which was delicious. We had a 40minute wait between the starter and main course but overall the food was good and wasn’t too expensive. The atmosphere and decor was nice and the service was good. I would come here again.

staff is very friendly, have been nicely greeted at the door
would need to book a table to eat in
now on to the meal:
had scallops as the starter,
it was cooked to perfection!
freash and juicey with a touch of sea sweetnes.
lobster main with extra medium rare steak on the side,
very freash lobster beautifully glaced with garlic butter with the meat juice nicely locked inside the shell
strawberry with white chocolate and extra chocolate icecream,
very nice icecream ♡ have made the meal end on a high note.
10/10 would bringing a friend and comeback♡♡

Highest quality seafood restaurant. Amazing food and amazing service. They had staffing issues and they called me and told me they had staffing problems and they might be a slight inconvenience to us.
It wasn’t in the realm of inconvenient, it was friendly and informative and at times fun. I highly recommend this place.
You will need to book.

Really nice place. Three of us had dinner here. Gorgeous seafood, I had grilled sardines to start, and seafood gratin for mains, followed by Affogato. Everything was so tasty, staff were very friendly. Would definitely eat here again.

Lovely little restaurant in Exeter. I don't usually go for seafood particularly but thought why not. The decor is lovley and the staff were very friendly and attentive. I had the fish curry - was absolutely delicious. My husband had the lobster and steak and really enjoyed his food too. We would definitely come again if we were in the area. This restaurant has made me want to visit more seafood restaurants =)

First time at Hooked tonight, certainly won't be the last time. We had the crab nachos and Fritto Misto for starters and then had the seafood platter for mains, everything was beautifully presented and tasted divine, the chefs are amazing as we're the waitresses. I love this place.

I've never had a bad meal at Hooked - only very good ones. Super seafood and a great drinks selection too. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. It has one of those open kitchens so you can see the activity.
Dining is on two floors, so it's bigger than it looks initially. Highly recommended!

Lovely restaurant. As a family of 4 2 adults an under 5 and 7 year old we visited mid week during the summer season and really enjoyed our evening meal.
The food ordered was perfectly cooked enjoying the platter of shellfish.
I was not as impressed with the fish wonton starter but the crab nachos was great. Kids also enjoyed fish and chips and pasta with good portion sizes.
Only one dessert caught my eye, the Hooked deconstructed take on a cream tea.
Over all quite reasonably priced for the quality of food and service.
The only thing that could have been slightly better was the attention from the front of house staff. A walk in was turned away that could've sat in the time we were there. We ordered the coconut Thai style sauce and got garlic / cream / wine sauce (it was good enough not to be concerned by this!). It sometimes took a bit of effort to grab their attention.
