R. D.Our first visit to Hub Box Truro, a great reception and no problem dining inside with 2 small well behaved dogs, to the point the dogs got their drink first without even having to ask! Wife came back from the toilet and said just how amazingly clean they were.
Really quick service without being pushy.
Food arrived quickly and was really nice. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Truro.

L.Absolutely amazing place with amazing food served by lovely people who had no problems catering for my multiple allergies the man who dealt with me was so caring and it really made me feel comfortable in the fact we could eat safely was made to feel worthy of eating there not put down for having allergies or being a problem. I also felt confident to freely breast feed my daughter without judgment and was offered a place to park her pram and a High chair for her at the table when I come back to visit Cornwall again I am making the effort to visit these again I love how it's been put in a old church makes the place feel amazing to sit in. Thankyou for such a positive experience gives me hope that others will follow such an amazing example 💛 thankyou

O. A.Good, I ordered an all star burger and it was really tasty, the wait for it was a bit long but apart from that it's a chill environment and I recommend it and I will come again.
H.This is a restaurant where you have to scan a code to then order. The menu is extensive with a great choice of veggie and vegan burgers. There is the choice to add extra toppings too. My vegan burger with cheese and pickle and salad topping was delicious. My partner said his burger with chillies was good too but not that spicy. The fries are nice too. Apart from the manager the staff aren't that bothered about delivering good waiting service and don't really talk. There is an option when you order to add a tip but as the staff don't engage or even take your order we didn't feel it was necessary to leave one.

S. H.We recently had an event and decided to feed our guests from Hub Box. I asked for specifics to ensure our guests had the easiest time enjoying their food, and the staff at Hub Box (Thank you Katie!) not only agreed to my extra requests, but the food was absolutely delicious too.
They were a great choice as their menu is so diverse and the quality was brilliant and consistent for our meat-eating and non-meat eating guests alike.
I could not recommend this restaurant highly enough for quality of food and customer service.

They also accept a blue light discount which is always a bonus, I think it's 10%.

I've always sworn by Handmade Burger Co., but its no exaggeration to state this was the best burger I've ever had. (Big Kahuna burger).
My wife had the dirty disco chicken burger and was equally as happy
Also important to note this was a busy Friday night and the food quality was still exceptional, a factor that can affect many places!
Staff were great - very chilled out and helpful and the whole atmosphere was spot on.
Couldn't recommend this enough, there's also a great wealth of non-meat options/alternatives so it really caters for all.
10/10, can't wait to visit again!

Unfortunately my food (mother clucker loaded fries) arrived almost stone cold. Nachos weren't great. It tasted good so didn't complain.
After we'd finished we waited about 15 minutes upstairs where we were seated to settle up, but saw no one. In the end we had to hang around downstairs and get someones attention so that we could pay and leave. All of the staff were eating.
It's a real shame as everything was great about this place, but we felt we got dumped by the staff as they wanted their lunch.

H.Have recently changed the menu so was very disappointed at all the plant based "meat" alternatives ie,chicken,beef,bacon, but as a veg/ vegan my option was completely limited as don't want to eat something that looks smells and tastes like meat !!! Secondly as someone who doesn't use a lot of salt I found the fries very salty so maybe leave this up to the customers own taste.
However did enjoy a jackfruit burger in the end but just felt a bit deflated. Come back Betsy burger !!!

G. B.Good selection of beers, I was particularly pleased they had one of my favourites (Clwb tropica). The venue was pretty cool, interesting decor and the outdoor space was nice. The food was also pretty good, with a range of veggie and a few vegan options as well as meat. I tried the dirty fries which were topped with buttermilk battered halloumi, and I tried some with a "no meat chorizo" which was also tasty. Their venue in st ives was also great!

L. S.Very very busy at lunch time. Luckily we arrived at the place a little bit earlier than the usual eating time. Decoration is really really interesting...that's what I like most about the place. The food is ok but not that WOW for me. However, it's probably better than the other place around the area. Staff are friendly.

A. K.Really really good burger! I would consider myself to be a burger connoisseur and this place has an absolutely banging burger. Me and my other got the hub burger and a side of fries and it was more than ample. We had one problem though, the price. It’s really good food and I don’t mind paying a premium but I would kind of expect fries to come with the burger or would rather pay a little more for the burger and get it as more of a meal with fries, onion rings etc. All in all absolutely 5* definitely worth a visit?

N. B.Called in for lunch because the wife fancied a 'proper' burger. We weren't disappointed, even tho she decided eventually to have a salad from the extensive menu - salads, burgers, dogs, nachos and a bbq menu. Service was friendly and prompt (about 20 mins between ordering and delivery) and the food was fantastic. The salad was huge and really filling and the burger was perfectly cooked. Overall, will definitely be going again when in Truro

L. R.I dont think my photo shows just how delicious my cheese burger was! This was my first hub box experience and I will definitely be returning soon! With so much to choose from on the menu, deciding what to eat was a tough choice, but I can highly recommend the cheese burger. Even though it was a busy lunchtime when we visited, we were served within 30mins of placing our order. Now looking to visit other hub box venues! D. R.The food was good; it's pretty consistent so Hubbox is a reliable choice. The staff are always friendly. They'd had a new payment system installed that day and none of the staff had has time to learn it, so it took our group a very long time to pay as it was done in multiple transactions. Not a practical way to pay, however the staff should have been trained on the totally new system before being thrown into it on a busy Friday night.

The burgers don't come with any sides so factor that in if you're looking at the menu online but they're well worth it. Absolutely delicious and would highly recommend to anyone if they're in the area.

Our waitress came over within about 30 seconds of sitting down asking if we would like drinks, this wasn't enough time to look at the menu. Asked for a minute to look and was about 7 mins until I managed to get her attention to see us. It was like she had forgotten us by her reaction. Order was taken but had to go for normal fries as was out of cheese sauce, no biggie. When the food came the burger was lovely but the fries tasted as if they were cooked a little while ago left over from the previous order, the onion rings were nicely cooked. After the meal we got the bill quick as it was getting late and was welcomed to enjoy the remainder of our evening. Overall it wasn't that bad. Just felt a little lacking in attention. Food good. Not sure we will return on a hurry. Giving 4 stars as don't deserve 3 but neither deserve 5. Thanks for reading.

The current menu is the best I've seen, I was spoilt for choice - loads of veggie and vegan options and most importantly almost everything on the menu is or can be made gluten free!! And the cocktails and milkshakes are amazing too. I can recommend booking a table online, really simple process and saves waiting for a table. Quick service and friendly staff in an awesome building (it's a converted church), love it! We'll be back again obviously!

Didn’t see a single smile, we weren’t greeted when we arrived even though there were 2 staff at the front desk. They were too busy chatting to even pause for a second to say hello.
No one came to take our order, we had to go find them
No one came to ask if we wanted anymore drinks, we had to go find them.
No one came to offer the bill, we went to them. Even once we had the bill, we had to go ask if we could pay.
It wasn’t even that busy!!!!
So really good food but a frustrating night out.

Only reason not for five star was that I think the buffalo fingers were very small and the abundance of cheese sauce was a bit much. Definitely worth a visit though!

We sat outside and there was only one heater for the whole area and it was pointed at just one table.

C.I’m not a burger lover and this was genuinely one of the nicest burgers I’ve had in my life and my boyfriend also loved his!!! Hugely recommended!! Do yourself a favour and go check this out! (Not to mention the place looks really cool although we just collected the food)

S. L. (.Having visited Pentewan, St Ives and Truro Hub Box over recent times, the quality of food was the best at Truro. The Cornish Blue burger was to die for. Not 5 stars because the service is a bit odd and scattergun which seems like a consistent theme for all 3 above Hub Boxes. There does not appear to be any system for the table service and the staff are very random in the approach of what they do and which tables they go to which regards to taking orders, checking on orders, clearing tables, and sorting bills. The staff were all extremely friendly though.

Highly recommend the 'All star plant' burger - easily the best vegan burger I've ever tasted! Social distancing observed and a one-way system indoors - sadly didn't sanitise our table after clearing the previous customers' debris away. Still, very helpful and polite staff. A little pricey (no reduction in prices for the customer relating to the current 5% vat rate) but in all happy to pay as the food was worth it.

L. S.We pre booked a table, as we were meeting friends who were here on holiday and we suggested Hub Box, as I have previously really enjoyed the food. Whilst the waitress was very sweet, the food service was ridiculously slow, to the point that we had to chase both courses. The food was tasty but potions are smaller and toppings were minimal enough that we had to open our burgers to check they were actually there.I am hoping that it is just a post lockdown slump, as in previous years I have thoroughly enjoyed the food and service here.

Being a fat American I double downed on the patties and my mouth was in ecstasy with all the ingredients!! D. F.Great find whilst visiting Newquay. Very busy so booking advised. We went on a whim and were lucky to get an outside seat, which is ok when it's warm but at the front there are no outside heaters so later evening it could be cold.
Food was good, a little expensive but ok for a holiday treat it was ok. Burgers were lovely, chilli fries nice. Nachos a little small and not much flavor in homemade toppings but overall very nice and would visit again.
Locals were popping in so always a good sign. 🙂

J. M.The food was really good however to get the menu you had to have a QR scanning app. When you scan it takes you to a website as well as downloading the menu behind the scenes. We were not told this and ended up having a paper menu anyway. There was though a huge selection of choice for food and drink and the renovation of the chapel is great. It has the American restaurant decor with the stained glass window and beams.

K.We love to eat at the hub, staff are really pleasant and food tastes amazing. During the summer the clubbox salad was super tasty with all fresh and locally sourced produce. Burgers are always great and the brisket beans are super good. Well behaved dogs are also welcomed with owners as we found at our last visit which was a nice change to the typical no dogs allowed policy in so many places.

g. b.If you like a good burger, this is the place for you! I'm not actually a big fan of burgers, but that's my personal taste so I can't really fault them for that. Luckily they have a bar as well, with delicious cocktails, so something for everyone. Expensive but if it's burgers, or booze, that you like, then worth it.
O. B.Loved everything about this place. It's based inside an old church so the decor inside is quirkly and unlike any other restaurant we've been to. Staff are really friendly, polite and efficient. And the FOOD. Plenty of vegetarian options for me, and almost too many for my meat eating husband, and all of them worth trying. Both our burgers were delicious and the dirty fries we both had (mine with sauce and jalopenos, his with sauce, cheese and fried chicken) were just out of this world.
I will say our meals took a while to arrive, but they were definitely worth the wait. Prices are reasonable and this is a great place both for a casual date or a meet up with friends.

However the service can be a bit haphazard and confused if you come in a group of 4+ people. A different server comes to the table from start to finish meaning that first person who took your order will not usually be the same person who serves your food or delivers your drinks etc and then that's where it goes wrong. We often have confused servers coming to the table to bring us food & drinks we haven't ordered... That said, they are always welcoming, friendly and polite.

The staff are attentive, friendly and work really hard and yet have still got the covid-19 practices well in place to provide both an efficient and a safe service. Arrived in Truro this afternoon, found the Hubbox online. Wanted to take the kids somewhere trendy, interesting and fun.
Well the Hubbox delivered.
Turned up as a walk in, we were seen and seated in minutes. Everyone was busy the place was buzzing and had a great atmosphere. Just as it promised from the out side of the building.
Lee the manager was really great. He was brilliant with the kids, and he was enjoying all the other customers in the restaurant. It is not often you see managers like this anymore.
As for the Hubbox we could do with one of these in Milton Keynes. This place is great top class, restaurant is fun, entertaining and stylish. The bar is set up well and drinks services is fast. The cocktails were top notch and my kids loved their American milk shakes (so did I).
I had the 6oz burger with pulled pork, onion rings and sweet fries. I couldn't eat it fast enough yum. My partner had the Big hot dog, it looked the part and tasted it too. Kids menu is brilliant loads of choice for the little ones. The fish sandwich with chip my lad demolished and my princess had the kids hot dog to be like mum, great size portions. Kids also get a juice and içecream. Kids love the iceream served in a glass with cone.
Well worth the money and spending some family time here. Top experience @Hubbox #Hubbox.

We ordered £90 of food for our Christmas lunch and they missed a load off it. They did deliver it to us in the end, but only when I refused to get it. Did get 2 free burgers.... But just such a school boy error.

K.Hubbox used to be great. It's still good food but it doesn't seem to be as good value as it used to be. Smaller burgers, chips are extra, add ons also seem to be smaller too. Still it's always packed so they're clearly doing something right!

P. S.Stopped here for lunch while on holiday. Not too busy and service was friendly and pretty quick. Good food with a decent kids menu but a little pricey. The place is a little bit different and has a good atmosphere.

F.Hubbox is somewhere I go fairly regularly and always enjoy going for a meal. The food is great and the portions are plenty. They also sell some great tasting ales and have some good vegetarian options.
