In town for one night for work and found this little gem. Just had a simple cod, chips and mushy peas and it was delicious. Big portion, very friendly service and very inexpensive compared with what I pay at home. The rest of the menu looks great as well and I’ll certainly go there again next time. Highly recommended.

Top quality food, I was working nearby and had to visit just for the smell coming out of the fans at the back, he cooks in beef dripping which is unusual this side of the Pennines. Really nice guy who owns it told me you don't get indigestion like you do with veg oil and he was right, also do fantastic sweet pies with custard. I don't live in the area but would definitely make the effort to come again.

Really Good Fish and Chips. Probably the best in Warrington.. Its Close... but I think this might have just edged it based on quality and price. Only snag was I had to wait quite a bit after ordering. I'm all for waiting.. but service was a bit slow, hence 4 🌟.

First visited on Good Friday after seeing recommendations online. So glad we persevered with the long queue. Fish was beautiful, light crispy batter and the chips were homemade, all cooked in beef dripping. We also had the Haggis rolls and curry sauce, so tasty. They make their own pies as well which are really really good. The cherry ones were lovely, served with custard. The owner is really friendly as is the lady who served us. Would highly recommend.

A 1 and a half hour wait on Good Friday for our first fish and chips from this chippy! It was a bit of a leap of faith, as we were only going off the reviews online. We usually go elsewhere but after being really disappointed with our usual chippy last time, decided to try here. I have to say, it really WAS worth the wait. Beautifully light crispy batter on both the haddock and cod, both chunky fluffy white fish. Perfectly cooked chips that were golden and crispy without being laden with grease. Really enjoyed all of it and not one chip went in the bin OR the dog, so yes I would thoroughly recommend. Nicest chippy tea I've had in a long while, even though they were mad, MAD busy.

Been looking for a "proper" chippy for years now and to be honest, lost all hope of finding a good one. There are plenty around, just most of them aren't very good, the rest just ok. Then we found this place on Google. It's in a really awkward place, basically a converted two up, two down end terrace and the parking is very limited. But this is now my go to chippy. Everything is cooked to order (apart from pies and maybe the sausages) and cooked in beef dripping. I had the mini fish dinner, can't remember the price sorry, but it was cheap for what I got. Fish, chips and mushy peas, curry or gravy and it was more than enough for me. My other half went for the extra large cod and the man behind the counter asked if it was to share. My hubby said "no, it's for me" the man showed him the size of it pre cooked and it was big! And in the end, my hubby only managed half, but said it was lovely. I can heartily recommend the cheese and onion cake (a large ish potato/cheese and onion patty in batter) which is divine. I can't wait to go again. (The potato scallops are also divine. I had two of those. ) Just go. It's yum!

Fantastic chippy. Quality food with unusual offerings, including braised steak and home made pies. They cook fish only when ordered ( as ALL chippys should) and offer Haddock as an alternative to nasty Cod. My go to chippy and great value to boot!

I have not been in this fish and chip shop for many years and I was made up I went. Somebody recommended it to me recently, so I called in today. The shop is very clean and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I wasn't disappointed with the food, the fish was good value for money and the portions were of a good size. The menu offers lots of choice and much of the food is made on the premises i.e pies, nuggets which more often than not will taste better than your usual packet stuff!! I will definitely be visiting and ordering again.....

Best chippy in Warrington! I'm originally from Yorkshire so been spoilt when it comes to fish and chips, but these were brilliant. Everything cooked fresh to order so no soggy batter, home made pies, huge portions, fried in beef dripping instead of oil so less greasy. Friendly owner who really takes pride in what he does, will definitely be back!
