My absolute favourite Chinese restaurant globally 😂 (& I travel). The food is faultless, quality ingredients, beautiful restaurant & staff are always super welcoming, friendly & attentive. Also you can see the chef's cooking as it's an open kitchen which is also a nice touch 👌🏼

We've been meaning to try it this place for a while and it didn't disappoint. The food here is so good and tastes quite authentic South Chinese (I lived in Hong Kong for a while so hopefully I should know). Service is attentive and welcoming with an upscale atmosphere. The range of dishes is good and although on the expensive side, the taste to cost ratio means it's good value.

I was here on Monday the 25th of April around 9pm. It was my first time here and i have to say the ambience and the decor are amazing in the building. The waitress that was serving me was pleasant and friendly and the food was honestly one of the best meals I ever had. I had the Korean fried chicken and the Confused Duck. They were divine. The prices are good but they are not stated on the menu. Unless I was blind and didn't see that but I honestly think it was worth the price. I will heavily recommend going there and plan to go there again soon.

We had a table booked here last week. Being a very fussy eater I was a little apprehensive after looking at the huge menu. I am so glad I took a chance on this place as the food was amazing. Had the chicken satay starter and the "not from Singapore" vermicelli and they was both lovely. The only downside to Mr Lau's is that it's a bit pricy. Photos from Emily's (cocktail bar) which I think is a part of Mr Lau's.

Hidden Gem in the middle of Warrington City centre. Food was superb both taste and quantity. We had dim sum starters prawn and beef dumpling like and gyozas a vegetable and duck one. We had the steak fritters chef special and lo main prawn noodle and rice fried egg. Acceptable amounts so we shared with kids. Great place in town but honestly speaking the town needs cleaning up as the walk to the place is not nice. We gave 4 stars based on Location and the waiter service needs improving in terms of attention and quality. Please take this as constructive criticism as the food and its quality and the place are excellent. We will come back with friends and fam.

Went here for a nice lunch. It’s so hard to find good dim sum in Britain and I feel like Mr Lau definitely lived up to my expectations of good dim sum. On top of that, the ambiance is very cosy. Fandabbydozy....thats the word that sums this place up. If you have read any of my other reviews you will know that I tend to snap up the deals on lunch menus etc. Well all through Jan it was 50% off most of the menu so it was rude not to go (every day for a week!). Food is tremendous, and not a glint of MSG in sight which is a relief. Cant fault this place and if you choose to snap up 50% off Wednesdays or grab from the Express menu (current offers) then you will leave pleasently full. Infact were back tomorrow to sample the new £9.95 Hoi Tin 4 course lunch menu...wooo hooo :)

Can be expensive. Dim sum menu was limited and would have been nice to have pictures of what each item is The menus are dark and lighting poor, making it hard to read. Also, not clear what are starters/mains. Advised by staff need to add a side to most mains £££ Otherwise nice food (personally didn't rate the duck starter)

Went for an early dinner with a friend and although it was very busy, the staff was super attentive and very nice. Not annoying kind of nice but ACTUALLY nice. Was bought a voucher as an anniversary gift. Hadn't been before but will be going again soon. We went for banquet 1 (for 2 people). There was plenty of food and it tasted great. The sweet and sour chicken was my favourite part. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and checked on us a couple of times to see if we needed anything else.

Fantastic place for dim sum. I used to go to Tai Wu in Manchester when it was open and this is my new favourite place for dim sum. We went for the first time two weeks ago on a recommendation and loved it so much we went back the following week. We went here on two consecutive Sundays for yum cha. The decor is lovely inside (decorated for Christmas at the moment), very friendly staff who are attentive. Wewere offered our 'usual table' the second week. There are three menus given to you. A Sunday menu, a dim sum menu and a cheung fan menu. There's an offer of four dim sum for £10. There's great variety and lots of authentic options as well. You can order chickens feet for example. We ordered 16 dim sum, one cheung fan and chickens feet for five of us to share and we had left overs. It's quite quiet on a Sunday lunch but this place should be packed out as the offer is such great value. Will be going many more times.

We recently revisited Mr Lau's again and it certainly did not disappoint. With the menu being extensive you are spoilt for choice when it comes to ordering. We had a range of starters to share along with mains and sides, everything came freshly made in authentic dishes. To start, we thoroughly enjoyed the panko shrimp lollypops, large enough to just need one each. Next we had the satay chicken skewers , they came in the most delicious sauce served on a sizzling platter, we had also ordered some prawn dumplings which were devine dipped in the chili oil. Next came our mains, sticky belly pork, crispy chilli beef and honey chicken, again everything cooked to perfection, and with a side order of fried rice and a portion of gourmet chips, loaded with flavor we were fit to bursting by the end of our meal. Highly recommended and absolutely worth the trip there.

Nice choice of food, good atmosphere, great flavour and quality to the food, I'd go more often if only it were more reasonably priced (happy to pay premium but do want a fair sense of value in return for that which was missing from Mr Laus, I did feel a little short changed) If the ingredients were particularly difficult to source I'd be cool. If the ingredients were particularly expensive I'd be cool. If the food took a particularly long time to prepare then, you guessed it, I'd be cool but really the ingredients are reasonably priced, readily available and the food is fairly quick to prepare SO a side of rice, chips or broccoli shouldn't be costing me around £5 per portion, it's cooked in bulk, it's cheap as chips, it should come included in the cost of my meal

The food and service was fantastic, we just got quite a shock when the bill came. There were only two of us, we had 3 drinks between us and the bill came to just under £100. I’ve never seen a starter platter be priced per person (we were told afterwards it was in the small print but neither of us noticed), £26 for 6 spring rolls, 2 milk balls and 2 samosas seems a bit steep. Like I say the food was great but I wouldn’t go back because of the price.

Staff exceptionally brilliant lovely and if they see you nearly finished your drink they ask of you like everything as well as asking if you want another drink. Chicken skewers and satay sauce as a starter. I was worried it would taste all peanut taste. They assured me it will be a lovely mix of flavour true to their word. It was out of this world. Then main I had honey chicken with egg fried rice. Rice was exceptionally soft and beautifully made. The honey chicken was amazing. For pudding I had nuttella rolls and ice cream. Please put ice cream on top of rolls as the pancake roll and Nutella is very hot but when you do this please cut into it dip in ice cream and it tastes amazing. 10/10 best food I've ever tasted

We drove from Preston to Mr Lau’s after seeing the amazing reviews it gets and we were not disappointed. The inside of the restaurant is lovely with a really nice bar area for drinking. We were seated and drinks order taken almost straight away and brought over while we browsed the food menu. We ordered quite a lot of food as there was too much on the menu we were desperate to try. The food was absolutely perfect and leftovers were packed up and popped in a bag for us to take home. You’d be crazy to not visit this Chinese and even crazier if you don’t get the BBQ Ribs.

The food here is delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a good atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable especially the set menus. At the moment you can use the government 50% scheme in August on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr Lau's has also extended this to Thursday and Sunday too! I will be going back again and again. Highly recommend. Please Note: the restaurant is not accessible. It is up a flight of stairs on the first floor. There are obviously no accessable toilets either. Parking is on street or there is a pay and display car park nearby.

We went on a Wednesday when the menu is half price and most of us got the till her of steak and ling prawn surf and turn which should have been £25 for £12.50 and it was absolutely delicious. Absolutely fantastic, best Chinese restaurant in Warrington. The confused duck is my absolute favourite dish here! It is our go to meet up place with the girls. Staff are really professional and friendly and it is such a happy place to either catch up or celebrate any occasion. I need to be more adventurous with dishes and try some other stuff but I love the duck far too much! Seeing another customers starter of the yakatori skewers had my mouth watering so I know what I'll be trying next!!!

Nice venue and staff but food is nothing special. Perhaps I expected more from the reviews but the food was pretty typical of most Chinese restaurants. That said, the restaurant itself is pleasant, reasonably quiet and the staff are very friendly. A lot goes into presentation but it seemed quite transparent to me.

Really enjoyed the food here. Not your typical Chinese. Menu marked up to show gluten free food. Double check when ordering that your meal is definitely GF as when I asked about the sweet and sour fish the batter was GF but they couldn't guarantee there would be no cross contamination during cooking. Ordered sea bass instead with Cantonese sauce which was really nice. The service was good and the food was half price on the day we went. Would recommend.

Great food and service. It's much more than the normal Chinese restaurants you get. It is quite expensive but portions are generous and there are offers on certain days or early dining so look out for those if you're on a budget. As it's upstairs I would recommend checking with the restaurant if you have accessibility difficulties. It only looses a star because the kids menu is rubbish, why can't they just do half portions like most good Chinese/Indian/Italian do?

I’m ashamed to say that having lived in Sankey for 10years tonight was my first Mr Lau. Where to start... In a word “Amazing” online ordering was easy, I was a little taken back when told “pick up in 15mins” I was like never... But sure enough I turn up, food was ready and waiting. Service was excellent and as for the food, hands down the best Chinese in warrington and having eaten in many of the good restaurants in Manchester and Liverpool I’d go as far as to say Mr Lau’s is a North West treasure you got to try!

We booked a table and when we arrived we were seated in the bar area for a short period and enjoyed a drink . We were seated by a lovely waiter with a ready smile. We ordered some starters and I have to say they were sublime, the prawn toast is out of this world and steamed dumplings went down a treat the mains were as delicious. The restaurant is open and airy , the staff friendly and very helpful, the cocktails were 2 for one and were fantastic . Popped in to eat this evening with friends, and while we're early eaters, we were shocked the place wasn't busier by 7PM on a Tuesday night. We shared some chicken fried rice and a couple of steamed dim sum baskets. Everything was delicious and the staff was excellent to work with if a little slow. Tea was good, and dessert was excellent as well (we had some sort of sticky bun dessert with ice cream, forgot the name). The only knock I would have on them was that they don't have green tea ice cream or maybe a toasted sesame seed ice cream. Either would make an excellent dessert, but we'll be back to this place next time we're in Warrington.

Mr Lau's is tucked away and a great little secret to people from outside of Warrington. It looks small from the outside, but is spacious inside. The atmosphere and decor is lovely and it's a great date venue.
