Great food, lovely staff and family friendly. They even do veggie 'fish and chips' (battered halloumi) and it's absolutely delicious! Sit in or take out. We are repeat customers and will be back again soon.

Best fish n chips I can remember having. Lovely fish, great batter and proper crispy chips. The meal deal is great value. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would have liked a bigger pot of mushy peas because they were excellent.

Fantastic food has to be the best chippy we have ever been!! Great value for money. We don't live in Warrington and travel to New cod on the block for a decent chippy as ours are not the best. Definitely worth the travel. Superb food always spot on! 👌 there is never a long wait for your food either. The staff are so friendly, especially michelle she's always in there when we go and even if she doesn't serve us, she will come over and say hello. Lovely lady 😊 The resturant always looks clean and the staff are fast at clearing tables and keeping everywhere clean.

Sat down for fish and chip dinner and enjoyed every moment. Food is delicious and served straight from the fryer. Staff are welcoming without being in your face. Everything a fish and chip shop should be and then a little twist of surrealist art to remind you that you're in Warrington. And we do things differently here.

To be honest, I’ve never been to chippy before so I might lack objectivity, but for the price food was very good! Staff was friendly and when they drawn me out I admitted I am the newbie and not from around here. Therefore, I felt like I was a big deal and was asked if my palate was stimulated enough. 😀 Very nice place and good food.

Just stopped in for a quick bite to eat while in the town centre and we’ve been completely blown away by the service the quality and the overall experience at new cod on the block , the staff are so friendly I would spend the whole night chatting with them if I could , they were so quick to serve have us a lovely greeting at the door and sorted us right away , the menu has some really good wallet saving deals and we chose the fish and chips meal for two. The chips are perfectly cooked soft and rrly soak in the salt and vinegar to provide such a lovely taste. Fish doesn’t fall apart and isn’t covered in too much batter with Classic chippy drinks plus a few more on offer. This place is the perfect cross between a diner and a chippy my only issue is I can’t rate more than 5 stars on this review , we will definitely be coming back again and promoting this to all our friends and family.

EXCELLENT GREAT, STANDARD FOR A GREAT PRICE Fish :- well cooked, NOT greasy,hot lovely big white flakes (and I'm VERY fussy) Chips :- nice and hot, good portion really nice potatoes (not earthy) Peas:- again nice and hot and not dry Keep up the great standard I will be calling again 😁👍🍟🐠 GREAT price 3 lot of large chips and 2 large fish and large peas all £15.
