I went with a friend for a spot of breakfast, they had the regular breakfast options so i went for scrambled eggs with Salmon, however i would have preferred an omelette if they had it. The coffee was really nice and i will be revisiting with my family somesay soon. The staff were attentive and courteous and i was impressed they had a gluten free option for my toast

Service is amazing, the staff are so lovely and happy to help whenever, we had a large group gathering and they handled it perfectly. Food is really good too, I recommend the vegan burger and the berry pavlova.

Absolutely loved the experience here. Prices are on the expensive side, but for the quality of the food and service it's worth it I guess. They also have 2/3 course deals for a reasonable price. I had Cassoulet with duck leg (see the pic) and absolutely loved it.

We had birthday party hear on 21 May for my daughter and there were twelve of us in the party (Anderson). My wife and I arrived early to set of the banners and table decorations. The staff offered us assistance as soon as we arrived and more or less took over setting up the tables for us. It was a most enjoyable evening and the staff were extremely attentive, helpful and friendly throughout our meal. The venue is very attractive and the food was excellent. It really was a wonderful evening made all the more by the the welcome we got from the staff. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would certainly eat there again. Well done the staff.

This is not our normal Cote branch so inevitably we made comparisons. We very much enjoyed our main courses but minor problems are worth mentioning. We had to ask for side plates for bread and somewhere to place empty mussel shells. The bread order, whilst edible, had the feel of being cut in advance of order, therefore a shrinking dryness, but good helping of butter. My partner was disappointed with the berry pavlova and chantilly cream, very much all meringue, somewhat dense, and little cream. Did not finish. The restaurant was quiet and we we asked for and got a booth. Staff friendly and helpful. Toilet including disabled is available and clean for us. Despite our comments we know the quality that Cote is capable of, and we remain probable customers.

Three of us went and we had three courses and wine. We were given a choice of seating and were attended to courteously and promptly. Everything on the menu was available. All the food was delicious. Between us we had melon, pâté, calamari, salmon, fish stew, chicken salad, apricot tart, cheeseboard (with a choice of French cheeses) and lemon dessert. I had been concerned that the portions might be on the small side but that was not the case and we were all fully satisfied with our meals. The whole dining experience was a pleasure.

Had a spectacular dinner at Côte Brasserie! To start off I ordered the toasty Calamari with a glass of Bordeaux Rouge 2018 and followed it with the moist and flavorful Half Chargrilled Poulet ‘Breton’ with Garlic Butter. For desert I had the cheese tray with bread. The staff was professional, attentive and friendly. The soft lighting and music provids the perfect ambiance for a couples night out. I most sincerely recommend this amazing restaurant and will definitely be returning.

I took my family to have lunch at the restaurant today Watford branch, as my husband hasn’t been there. My son and I been there few times and my son’s really love the food and the atmosphere. But today, we were disappointed as our order took so long to arrive, the waiter apologised and gave us free starters to compensate. It should be ok, if it’s the first time, but the few times I have been there with my son , same thing happened about 3 times. Same excuse, it got muddled up with other orders.Starter should be served prior to the main dish but came almost same time. The bowl for my stew had chipped on it and had to point it out to the waiter. What I don’t understand is , it was not even busy. The staff are very accommodating, the place is nice , but this kind of incident give a bad rating to the restaurant.

Well presented tasty light breakfast in addition to the very very special service by the serveur Svet.I have politely asked if I can smoke, next minute Svet served me a cigarette with a lighter (sweet misunderstanding) and ashtray with a damp tissue (loved the small touches).

My second visit to this particular Cote restaurant. I went there in a group of six. My roasted pork belly with braised cabbage was delicious and the rest of the group were very happy with their choices too. Service was very efficient and friendly, highly recommended

We were a party of 5 on a Friday night. Service was terrible at the start. We arrived at 7.30pm and after taking our drink order we were forgotten. We had to ask them to take our food order at 8.30pm! The food was good though.

A really nice and calm atmosphere (a nice contrast to many restaurants) with amazing French style cuisine. If you don't like your food on the rarer side then it might not be good for you, but otherwise it is a great choice. The Chicken Liver Parfait was wonderfully smooth and served with toasted brioche. The buttery taste of the brioche paired well with the parfait to add a nice richness to the flavour. The brioche was also a lighter texture than many other breads which was really pleasing. The Duck Breast was tender and the cherry and veal jus was a rich accompaniment. It was served with gratin potatoes that were perfe tasty cheesy. The Creamed Spinach was nice, but I feel that it could have been seasoned more.

A restaurant´s atmosphere sets the stage. Cote lived at to my expectations in terms of decoration, service and food. The place is romantically and stylish decorated with a faint light that makes the restaurant quite cosy and confortable to stay and enjoy a lovely dinner. However, the tables are a bit too close and you may feel heard by people next to you. Not a big deal, though. I was recommended this restaurant a few times and I totally agree about this as the food is delicious. The menu is not too long, there is no a wide range of food, but I guess they offer their specialty. We ordered Salmon and Mushroom Risotto. The fish was perfectly cooked with a healthy salad as side. the risotto looked creamed and the flavor was... delicious, not too salty and a glimpse of mushroom taste. The service treated us fabulously well. They were caring and always with a smile on their faces. I also made a special request as we were celebrating something, this was a dessert with a special message, they followed it to the book and it was really surprising for my girlfriend as she didn't´t expect it. This made the dinner even more special.

Met a friend for breakfast. We arrived as it opened so were the first two in. My friend had the full cooked breakfast and I had smoked salmon and eggs plus gluten free toast and it was all great. It was quiet in the restaurant but I guess that's to be expected for Monday night! All the staff were lovely. I had the pear and goats cheese starter and the sea bass and it's some of the nicest food I've had in months. We had the creme brule and that was one of the best desserts I've ever had! It was so smooth and silky. I was so impressed by all of it. Reasonably priced aswell with the set menu.Two beers, two starters, two mains and two desserts for £56 is pretty amazing

It's a Côte. It's got a decent menu which they cook just fine. The Watford one is stuck on a High St with uninspiring buses exposing their derrieres as they trundle away towards Vicarage Road. Staff were polite and minimal. So a rather weighty 45 minutes wait for a single course for lunch. But was much better than other options in Watford town centre these days. Taco Bell it is not, thankfully.

Had asked for ketchup to go with my bacon baguette and by the time I got it (about 15 minutes after getting my food having asked another 2 members of staff) my bacon baguette had gone cold which was disappointing. Sunday late morning walk in. Nice decor and very polite staff. Had coffee, bit small for my measure with eggs royale. Salmon was beautiful and eggs poached to perfection. The lady has the full breakfast. Wasn't keen on the sausage but I didn't find anything wrong with it. She did comment they were the best poached eggs she has ever had. Reasonably priced and will be going back again soon.

So happy to get to start our dining experiences again. The staff at Cote are fantastic. Very cheerful, caring about customers, etc. Our overall food was good, except for the Sirloin steak which for my taste was way more charred and tasting bitter. And the french beans was undercooked. Apart from that all the starters, other mains and desert hit the spot! Again to the staff, thank you for the exceptional service. ——————- Updated review from 9th October 2021: The food was pretty good, but definitely some issue with the staff being unprepared. Though they are good polite people, but service was really very poor. The drink that my wife ordered after clarifying with the staff was having aniseed which she clearly asked if it didn’t have it. Next all our main came at different times, I had ordered rib eye with peppercorn and they forgot the peppercorn sauce which came after 5 mins by which time the rib eye was mostly cold. The third is we asked for water couple of times which they acknowledged and still forgot to bring it. The staff means well but clearly needs training and needs to up their game. My rating changed to 3 due to the recent experience

Absolutely amazing. As soon as we entrered we were greeted immediately and with smiles. We were sat down and our waitress Camilla came to over straight away. She was super lovely and had a bundle of positive energy. Cote is very lucky to have a waitress like Camilla - she made our whole experience very special. I told my boyfriend: "Ill definitely come here again" before I had even tried the food. The ambience was very relaxed and even though the restaurant was busy the staff appeared to give every table personalised service. Camilla recommended us our food and drinks. Everything was beautiful. We had cloudy lemonade and bubbly elderflower which were both very refreshing. For starters we had crab maison served with french baguettes and calamari which were very tasty. The calamari was cooked to perfection and seasoned well - the tartar sauce had a slight hint of lemon. The crab maison tasted fresh and went really well with the french baguettes. For mains we had fish stew and beef cheek bourguignon. The fish stew was flavoursome and was again served with the lovely french baguettes - the tomato sauce was sweet and complimented the seafood well. The beef cheek was VERY tender and broke off super easily - the gravy and the bacon made the dish even better. For dessert we had a vegan chocolate tart with ice cream which tasted like a dream - I was full but still could not resist. Thank you Camilla for making our day extra special. Cote you were amazing!

Wonderful restaurant newly opened in Watford Town Centre. They have a good choice of breakfast options on their menu as well as lunch and dinner. I particularly find the staff very professional and attentive. I recently visited with my baby who was asleep in the pram and they ensured we were seated in a quiet area. They also went the extra mile by whispering when taking our order. Would definitely recommend for the whole family.

Service was excellent - nice, polite staff. Food today wasn't quite as good as the last time I visited - French beans were a bit chompy, yet looked slightly over-cooked. The "Ling Cod" on the luncheon menu was nice and tasty, but ridiculously small! (see picture)

Bit nicer than the other restaurants on the high street and the pricing reflects that. Food was in line with the price paid but didn't blow me away. Service was really good though. Couldn't fault our waitress and the rest of the team... Which made the automatically added 12.5% tip deserved... Especially as the staff get the whole tip (well done for that Côte). Lack of choice on the drinks menu if you're not drinking wine. I did pop over to the bar and there's more spirits than what's shown on the menu. A lesson for next time.

Excellent customer service. There was a delay with our main course - 30 mins. The restaurant was very busy so we waited. Both the waitress and manger apologised and brought us free drinks. When the food arrived it was fantastic. The manger returned with an offer of free desert, which we declined even though I was happy with the offer. When paying the bill they had discounted both starters and one main. I would happily recommend cotes to everyone.

I love Cote so I was excited when this one opened. We have been here a few times. However, the last couple of times, the food has come cold. When I tell them, they have some excuse like the sauce made it cold etc - I don't get that anywhere else though! The last time, my favourite dessert tarte fine aux Pommes was cold and not only that, it seemed to have come out from a microwave rather than an oven as it was quite soggy rather than crispy. No, the ice cream was not on it to make it cold and soggy. Please can you put more effort into serving the food hot and fresh as I love Cote but may have to go somewhere else if it doesn't improve here. It would also be good if the staff paid more attention to all tables - although they are all lovely, it seems they stand around by the till talking quite a bit and we really need to try hard to grab their attention.

The Maitre D' tonight was delightful, I didn't catch her name but my partner and I thought she was the perfect person to be front of house. She was putting smiles on people faces all evening. We thought the service was great and the food was so tasty though I did have the camembert for my main and was a bit sad when it turned out to be a mini one but that's because it was in the mains section so I was expecting it to be a little larger , it was still delicious and filled me up with room enough for dessert. (It was portioned great if you have the starter main and a dessert just to add) The service was fantastic, the whole atmosphere was happy and vibrant.

Cote normally is spot on but in the Watford Cote, not good, it was a friend's birthday and we reserved on line with four rhubarb Martinis as a complimentary drink.When we arrived no drinks when we asked why the manager in pink trousers very aggressive said we didn't redeem the voucher. We spent £300 in the Cote so we took the service charge of almost £40 off the bill in disgust.Normally we would pay the service charge as we know it goes to the staff, but because of her attitude we didn't

Environment is clean and comfortable, as are the toilets, though the prices are expensive for the contents of the meals.
