So, me and my wife wanted somewhere nice we could go for our anniversary. Having lived in the north of England for a good few years, we have struggled to find somewhere with amazing food since moving down south. UNTIL, we stumbled across this little place, what an absolute GEM. On arrival we were met by a very nice bloke called Richard, who quickly sat us down inside a beautiful, modern room inside a very gorgeous looking pub. We had a smile on our face straight away with the attentiveness coming from all the staff and Richard quicky became not just a nice man, to a fantastic bloke as we got to know him through the afternoon. The food experience was just superb, I've worked and tasted amazing food all over the world as part of my Job, and I can tell you what this is the second best food I've ever tasted. First being something very special, but we won't go into that 😜 Me and my wife had 5 courses and they were nothing short of amazing, every dish was completely different. We were later took into the bar, sat down Infront of the log burner and fed amazing cocktails with a free shot at the end off the head chef. It's also a bit of a haunt for famous actors with one very famous actor and director visiting quite regularly 🤫 Look, in a nutshell, don't believe the stupid negative reviews on this place because they are probably posted with people who are up their own backsides and who have been thrown out by Richard because they have been rude to his staff. Just go and have this awesome experience for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Kind regards. Dragon.

My wife and I decided to have dinner last Friday last minute. We were greeted by the very friendly staff and had a lovely table ready for us. As it was our first time here, we decided to go with the tasting menu. The food was flawless and clearly made with thought and passion. Fine dining in a relaxed environment. No pretentiousness. No need to go into London with this place on our door step! Thank you for a lovely evening. Credit to Yolanda and her team!

Beautiful cosy setting, very warm welcome, excellent service, DELICIOUS FOOD and great wine to go with it. The taster menu was fabulous. Can't wait to go back.

Let me start by saying the food was lovely but the service was lacking. I also understand how difficult it must be to start a new business and get staff. Turned up and the greeter hadn't got our booking and then l told her l'd booked with a lady called Yolanda and she suddenly remembered my booking. She was Yolanda! Made some excuse about a new booking system but said she could fit us in! Had pre dinner drinks; ordered a Mojito, no mint leaves, the barman put some mint flavouring in, so it was ok. My husband enjoyed his Smoked Berry Fusion. Asked for the menu and asked to be taken to the table. We placed our order with Yolanda. The service was by 3 young people who really didn't have the finesse or understanding of the food they were serving. They forgot our extra veg/potatoes which we had an apology for and one of the youngsters said it would be removed from our bill without us having to ask. Had pudding then Yolanda came over to check on the meal and that's when we expressed our concerns. Got one of the courses removed and the service charge. She gave me her card and said she'd comp us a lunchtime meal. Not sure l will return as my sister has had a very sub standard meal there this evening. Very disappointed as local and l hoped this would be our go to for birthdays/anniversaries.

Lovely place, new owners, fine dining experience. Great bar for pre dinner or just to pop in for cocktails.
