Reviews of The Terrace Restaurant RHS Garden Wisley

Lovely, airy restaurant for a sit down meal with decent service. Given the location (captive audience) and quality of food (plus the delicious cocktails), the price is very good value. From the Christmas menu, we had pate, terrine, ox cheek …

This is an unexpected delight. Obviously one expects to come to Wisley for it's renowned plants and foliage. What one does not expect is a high quality restaurant serving creative dish courses. Service was excellent. Do make a reservation and enhance your experience here.

Very polite and friendly staff. Restaurant is light, airy and nicely decorated. Set menu was reasonably priced. Food looked great but tomato soup was a bit watery and under seasoned and sea bass linguine over seasoned. Not a reason to not try this restaurant as I would definitely return when visiting the gardens but room for improvement.

Great service and great value.
Stopped here for a spot of lunch while enjoying Wisley Gardens. At the time of writing they were offering lunch menu with 2 courses for £20 or 3 for £25. We were greeted by an enthusiastic and incredibly welcoming lady who led us to our table and kindly re-arranged it so it was in the sun.
I had salmon to start which was a decent portion, tasted delicious and was very presentable. For main I had the cod and my partner had the beetroot vegan burger, both tasted really good. The service was very friendly and efficient.
I would highly recommend this restaurant, if you want to eat at Wisley this is definitely the best value for money, there are more casual spots but the quality of the food at those is pretty poor.

Excellent setting for a special meal, great service and a lovely menu.
Staff are always so welcoming and attentive. The food is delicious and beautifully presented- the outdoor section is our “go-to” treat for a meal and people watch.
Definitely recommend- you get what you pay for!

Wouldn't recommend coming here. The best part of my meal was how nice the server was, he was very accommodating. My starter was cold, the hollandaise was bland. The main course was average at best.

Nice experience. Went for afternoon tea, which was very good although it didn't seem possible to find tune the menu at all.

Had a family evening meal tonight here following a tour of the 'Glow' garden lights. Their 2-course menu offered excellent options. U had the smoked mackerel pate and roast turkey dinner, which was cooked perfectly. The children's menu included fish fingers, which looked homemade and that the 4 year old in our group loved. Service was initially slow, but quickly rectified by the manager Matt when we mentioned our hunger and tiredness. He was incredibly professional. We eat here regularly, and love the atmosphere and consistently good food.

Decided to try the Terrace Restaurant on a bank holiday when the queue for the food hall was quite large, and am glad I did. The staff were very accommodating of our toddler and pushchair, and we were able to get a table straightaway at lunchtime (table for 4 along the wall).
Really enjoyed the winter menu, including dessert, and the portions were a good size, both for adults and the child. Will hopefully go again.
