A lovely little restaurant tucked away in the heart of Worcester. The menu was varied and the food was very flavourful! I would highly recommend for those that want a more intimate setting for dinner. Lovely for couples and friends. Service here was great. All staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic food. Excellent value pre paid set menu in August 2022. Only issue was the service wasn't great. We understand they were busy, but we had to ask 4 times for the bill, with two tables getting theirs before us despite asking for the bill after us. Then when we finally got it, they had charged for extra drinks we didn't have, hadn't take off the pre paid part, then said we'd eaten off the a la carte menu, despite us only ever seeing the set menu (no other menus shown to us) and ordering off the set and being told they were only serving that lunchtime the pre paid set menu or sandwiches or dirty fries. So know idea where the thought we'd oredered from a la carte. Will give it one more try as the food was so good and hope they were just having a bad day.

Went on Sunday afternoon decided on the 2 course. Food was good, atmosphere good. The wait between courses was a tad slow. Disappointing that the stuffing doesn't come as standard with the chicken. We feel this should be included rather than having to pay extra as a side. However, that said would probably go back.

We booked for a Sunday Roast. We've never been there before but will definitely be going back. Fantastic atmosphere & lovely tables. My partner had Beef, I had Pork. I chose pork because of the crackling & ordered a side of Yorkshire @£1.95 for 2 huge Yorkies.. However the only complaint I had is: if I'd been told there was no crackling at point of ordering, as opposed to its arrival; I would have also chosen beef & had 1 yorkshire. No room for pudding because we left well fed! 😋

Beautiful restaurant. It's quite small and very cosy but it's absolutely amazing. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They'll make you feel right at home. And the food is just amazing. We had mussels and soft shell crab for starters and the portions were very generous and very flavorful. Between the starter and main, they brought us a pink grapefruit sorbet on the house which was a perfect little treat between the courses. For the mains we had pork belly and ribs which were equally as amazing as the starter with very generous portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Starters were lovely, I had the lamb shank was massive and gorgeous. My wife had duck which was unfortunately dry, the plum sauce was extremely sweet and over powered the rest of the meal. We mentioned it to the waiter and he sorted it out for us. If we didn't have that issue it would have been five stars.

Dropped in for Sunday lunch but at the end of lunch felt a bit disappointed after reading the positive reviews, which on reflection may refer to their a la carte menu reviews. Risotto starter - delicious flavour but rice undercooked in the middle. Beef slices a little tough and swimming in quite salty instant gravy. The fresh vegetables were steamed perfectly but roasted potatoes may have been pre-cooked and reheated. As a result they were very dry and flavourless. Quite longish wait between courses. White wine and coffee however, excellent.

I am genuinely torn by this place. The food was very good, however, the service leaves a lot to be desired. We waited close to an hour and a half for our main to arrive, well after people's who arrived after us. Our puddings arrived separately as one was sold out but we were not informed about this until just before the first arrived. Our drink order was forgotten about and took close to a half hour to arrive. They did take this off the bill though which helped with the annoyance. I think the main issue was that the staff were all inexperienced and seemed disorganised. Like I started with though, the food was good, when it arrived...

Discovered this place just before we left Worcester and were devastated as it is amazing there. Every time we have been it has been fantastic quality of food and great service. It was our first time visiting, we had heard very good things so decided to book a table for our anniversary and we weren't disappointed! The food was so good! 100% will see us again! It was very very quiet in there and at one point the music stopped and wasn't turned back on for the remainder of our meal. Truth is Sunday roasts suffer if kept warm or reheated so didn't really enjoy the meal although starter and ambience and service were very good. Only went on a Sunday because it was a special date would avoid Sundays in future.

The general manager could not do enough for us and bent over backwards to make sure that my wife's allergies were catered for. Lovely late lunch at Ostlers, We were met with a friendly greeting, some other diners had just left so we had the place to ourselves which could feel awkward but was fine. The host was attentive without being intrusive and the food was absolutely gorgeous, service was spot on. Not usually one for desert I just fancied one today and had the chocolate mousse, wow! Nice place and food but wouldn't recommend for dietary requirements, my mum is allergic to wheat and was just told off the set lunch menu she could have the beer battered cod without the batter. Made to feel a bit of an inconvenience.

Had a fantastic evening here. Food is lovely and the waitresses were great. The service was not quick but allowed time to enjoy the evening. The tables are nice and spaced so you don't feel cramped. Would recommend the Zinfandel. Make sure you book.

First time visiting Ostlers this evening and I must say for all the years I have wanted to dine here I was not disappointed. Fantastic food and a great ombiance in a quieter part of the city. The only negative was the timing when we first arrived to when we were approached to take a drinks order. However, the food and wine was fantastic and the staff a gentleman in particular were fantastic.

Very disappointing. The starter was fine but the main (duck) wasn't cooked in the way it should have been. The fat wasn't rendered , it was flabby and the meat was overcooked. The potato fondant was hard in the centre and was tasteless. There was 4 of us in the restaurant so you would have thought the chef would have had plenty of time to get it right. I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

On a recent break to the Malvern area we were recommended to go to sample the Ostlers experience as we were informed it was the place to eat in Worcester. The restaurant is very quaint and the ambience is excellent. We were strongly advised to try the fish so we ordered the plaice and the Atlantic cod which eventually arrived after nearly an hours wait but we weren’t in a particular hurry so no big deal. The plaice was cooked beautifully but the cod less so it was wrapped in Parma ham that was over cooked and the fish itself was very dry and somewhat tasteless. Not a great lover of mashed potato but had it for a change sadly it was too buttery and in addition to the vine tomatoes already with the dish even more mixed with the mash totally unnecessary making it very rich and sloppy. With hindsight I should have returned the food as unacceptable or at least for the cost involved had a replacement dish but stupidly persevered without complaint. To be honest we were so looking forward to eating here after reading all the glowing reviews but my other half really enjoyed it just wished I could say the same one of us left very disappointed.

Right next to the entrance of the race course you could easily dismiss this restaurant. However you will be missing a hidden treasure. Extremely friendly & pleasant staff who provide great personised service provide the backbone. The high quality food provides the substance to the really enjoyable experience you will have in this intimate restaurant. The calamares & meat terrine are great starters and from the meal my family experienced you can't you far wrong with any of the main courses. On the day we went pre-booking was necessary as they were fully booked on the day. Well worth a try if you want a decent meal in a nice atmosphere at a reasonable price.
