I love this restaurant. We come here from London and are always so mind blown at the level of the standard of the food served and the level of the service that is received. We have come here with friends and family and we have never had a bad experience. All tapas dishes are great and they have week day specials on the tapas - 5 for £30. I maintain that Olive Branch serves the best Paella in the UK.

This wasn't our first visit and certainly won't be our last. Everytime we come the service is consistent and so is the food, it's exactly what you want when dining out. We had a fantastic Paella, it was just perfect, fresh and delicious. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Wonderful family lunch. Started with a Mythos, followed by spicy nduja & flatbreads. Various and numerous tapas followed along with a lovely bottle of Rioja. Even managed to squeeze in dessert and an espresso. Cost a fortune for the 7 of us but service was excellent and everyone truly enjoyed the meal so deserved of 5 stars.

Superb tapas and service. All of the dishes were beautifully presented, tasted wonderful and were very reasonable in portion size and price. 100% would recommend for a taste of Spain when travelling isn't a viable option. Authentic, friendly and cost effective! Edit: changing to 4 stars due to our second visit which was not as good. We ordered some of the more basic and 'fried' food and it was obvious that some of it was bought in frozen.. My advice, stick with the dishes which are not the norm and you'll get a better experience than eating things which you already know.

We’ve been here about three times now. It’s our favourite restaurant to eat at when visiting our friends. Food is delicious. We’ve always had tapas and sharers. There was a wedding going on downstairs this time so they were very busy but service was still excellent. Would recommend the paella and white fish tapas. We drank the sangria and had a lovely time. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent! We shared a paella for two, the portion was more than generous and well loaded with mussels, Prawns and chicken and it was very tasty. Luckily we were eating early as we hadn't booked and by 7.00 the place was full. We'll be back!

Staff were quite prickly and charged us for 2 drinks although we only ordered one. Asked for tap water and was charged (£3.55!) for mineral water. Tapas are pretty good and well priced before 7 on weekdays, patatas bravas and lamb tagine were good, chimchurri steak was disappointing as were the mussels and chorizo - the chorizo was hard and like it hadn't been fried up. Other restaurant, Impasto, is much friendlier and I think the food is better too.

Can’t praise this place enough! Great atmosphere and amazing food in the restaurant. But also we have had a takeaway on a date night when babysitter had covid and last weekend catered for a birthday party with paellas and tapas dishes and all was amazing! Everyone commented on how good the food was. It was east to set up, nothing was a problem and the food was all ready when we collected it. Would thoroughly recommend this place!

We have visited this place twice now, on the first occasion it was fantastic. The second time we visited the menu had changed slightly. We used to have the trio of fish but unfortunately this had been removed from the menu. We ended up ordering the seafood platter for two. I have to say the food was amazing again but £56 for A bowl of mussels, two fillets of seabass, two small pieces of octopus and four prawns with a few squid rings its well over prices and then being charged £2 for a few small pieces of feta for our salad was ridiculous. As much as I hate to say it, I won't be rushing back anytime soon

Came in today because a friend said it was good. I had tapas: lamb, calamari and chorizo. I thought all the dishes were nice, fresh and well seasoned. Lots of flavour, especially the lamb. The service was excellent. We were served by a young gentleman who was very professional and polite.

Another couple were there raving about their meal and told us they had house swapped with their son's family and he had recommended they go to this restaurant. The setting is not ideal (slightly wedged in next to a church) so without good reviews we wouldn't have gone but we're glad that we did.

Tried the mixed paella. Still unsure about the chorizo addition. Mojito was the right strength and refreshing. Was accidentally served a mocktail. Only realised this when the bill said it was a virgin cocktail... I thought my cocktail had a low alcohol content! Make sure to pronounce pinot grigio rise coherently enough to the waiters!

I think Liz and I managed to grab an outdoor table on the last proper summer day. It was lovely to watch the world go by whilst being enclosed in the small courtyard. We chose a selection of tapas which was very good value. When I go next time, I'll order some bread to go with the Prawns Pil Pil as there was a lot of lovely sauce to mop up. If I hadn't been working later, I'd have had a glass of wine for the full Mediterranean experience! I loved it and will definitely be going again!

Outstanding food. Great venue. We brought our own good company. However, do check your bill. Our evening was 5 star until we looked at the detail of the bill. An extra (not cheap) wine had been added. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she didn’t miss a heartbeat before saying “that’s an error” rather than “are you sure” or “I’ll check that”. It took a while for an adjusted bill to be brought and there was barely a hint of an apology for the embarrassment. It doesn’t take too many suckers to fall for an old trick for “someone” to have a great after hours party.

I booked this for a birthday meal with hubbie and 2 friends. We sat upstairs. It was near Christmas but not filled with group parties which is the first tick. The atmosphere was lively with chatter and background music. We had a warm welcome. Tables all very nicely presented with white linen etc. 1 of my friends has a hearing impairment and asked for a change of table which was given straightaway. No questions. The menu is varied and caters for all including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. All well labelled. We chose 3 courses from the set menu. Beautiful and delicious food, nicely presented and excellent service. Very attentive. Total bill £138 for 4 people with drinks. What could be better. A great night out in a very characterful venue which also has a cellar bar but that wasn't open on the Tuesday night we visited. Sadly not great for wheelchairs but for people with mobility needs there is a ground floor. Check put the stained glass and if you time it right a short tour of one of Worcesters oldest little churches right next door in the city centre. History abounds! Absolutely recommend.

The staff were amazing and informative and nothing seemed to much of a problem. Food obviously AMAzing, the best Tapas around, Worcestershire AND Herefordshire! Although we were offered obvious up sells, we did not feel pressured and could really sense the family run atmosphere. Although the restaurant was extremely full, it was good to see the staff still having not too stressful of a time and having a laugh towards the end of the evening which was great to see that they were enjoying their time at work. They have an amazing fish platter in here. I highly recommend that. You need to book in advance, however and they don`t do takeaway. Or so I`ve been told last time I tried to order takeaway, when they said they were fully booked (although the place was empty) and after having ordered from there before. The atmosphere here is really good if you're eating in a group. The low ceilings and dark furniture make it feel very cosy. We had tapas, but I didn't feel that the dishes were worth the (roughly) £7 that they were charging. For that kind of price (keeping in mind that you need two or three per person) I would expect exceptional flavour and extra flair such as homemade sauces and garnish. Instead, there were just some bland bits in a small dish. My husband's chorizo was burned. On the plus side, the sweet potato fries were great, but that wouldn't be enough to bring me back.

I have wanted to visit here for years and the wait was well worth it. Tucked down an alley behind a church and a chemist with an unassuming entrance, the Olive Branch is one of those hidden gems you don't want to tell anyone about. The quirky layout inside compliments the dining experience, dark olive green walls envelop you like a blanket and the tables are dressed simply and elegantly. Whilst the range of tapas was tempting, particularly with their combo deal, we opted for the mains and a Greek meze to share. The meze was presented on a dark wood tray dressed in olive oil with a selection of dips and sauces, this served as a fond reminder of our Cypriot adventures. Although cutlery was available we went native and ate olives, feta, flat bread and koftas off the bone. The star though was the paprika halloumi, crispy on outside and creamy in the middle. After much cogitation my wife opted for seabass, whilst I had my heart set on the fideua, a paella served with pasta noodles instead of rice. When presented, both looked and smelt divine. The seabass was simply pan fried and nested atop a mound of handmade gnocchi with capers, tomatoes, olives and half a roasted fennel bulb. The firm white flesh of the seabass flaked of the skin beautifully and was very well seasoned. The fideua was a real comforting dish, small pasta noodles infused with saffron mixed in with squid, octopus, prawns and mussels. Needless to say it did not have enough time to cool in the dish, as it was rammed with gusto. I'm normally not a red wine drinker but the bottle and a half of chilliean house red was very smooth. I could have easily gone bananas with a G&T as the selection is quite impressive but was disappointed not to see a brandy sour on the menu. For those who review this place and claim it's too expensive, know this...you pay for quality in this world and I did not mind paying a little extra for this heavenly offering. To all the staff at the Olive Branch, thank you for hosting us.... we'll be back soon.
