Located near the Pier and Beach front at Worthing. They do a nice Fish and Chips. Seem to have a large selection of Cocktails. Milkshakes are nice in there when there are available. Staff are friendly. Issue is the queue system. You cannot order online. Need to go to the bar where queue is at all angles. Staff limited behind the bar, when you need to order food and elaborate cocktails are being made at a slow pace on days where the venue is filled you can be waiting 15+ minutes.

Quite a hip and happening place on first approach but the clientele were of all ages, and the menu looked good. The fish and chips were really top notch and up there with the best. The music was a little loud for easy chat but the playlist was excellent, so no complaints.

We had lunch here while in Worthing and I have to say the star of the show was the chicken salad. Not often that a salad trumps a burger but on this case it did. The original burger needed more sauce as it was quite dry. Unfortunately we also had to wait quite a while for our food but overall the service was friendly, the atmosphere good and as said, the chicken salad was delicious!

We’ve been to Worthing many times & its the 2nd time we’ve been in the Cowshed with our grandchildren (ages 8-13) & we wasn’t disappointed. The staff are friendly, helpful & nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was delicious & we will definitely go there again when we next visit Worthing.

Lovely friendly place and amazing burgers especially the chicken burger which was massive. The staff realised they’d run out of jalapeños but didn’t tell us and they refunded us. This was a very nice gesture and not expected. Service how it used to be from people who are working there for the right reasons.

We ate here for the first time on Sunday for my partners birthday. We had a large booking and were able to preorder so when we turned up it was simply a case of telling them when we were ready for food. All the food was really nice. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed there meal and we all had different things. The staff were really good too. Would definitely recommend and we will be back next time we are in Worthing.

Hard to describe this place without over using the word "great". Food: amazing, really well priced and nice vegetarian selection. Drinks: won me over with a good Gin selection and cocktail menu but overall a great selection. Music: love it. Might not be to everyone's taste but there was a real mix being played and not a single bad track. In fact most that I heard were tunes that I absolutely love. Staff: friendly and approachable; made a small mistake with my order but were really apologetic and offered to immediately put it right. Atmosphere: all of the above points and the great situation of this place create a great ambience. If only I lived in Worthing; this would become my regular haunt.

Myself, but a weary traveller. Marching a step only a torn woman may tread. I find my way to a place I have lived a story ago. A beaten down town were folk walk with a glazed eye through life. Reminiscing through this town I decide my hunger had reached its peak. I must eat, but where? As I reminded myself that my famish had not been treated since the evening before and the sun is ending it's usual ritual, I notice the yellow glare of that sun setting on an tavern unbeknownst to me. I look with heavy eyes and take heavier steps. A sanctuary beholden to a peace. I am welcomed by a maiden with a beautiful smile, she could see that I was stranger to this place and showed me the variety of food I can acquire. I cast my eyes to a particular choice and order. "Would you like to eat here and rest a while?" Said the maiden. I politely declined, as much as this haven is tempting to rest and ponder while I east. Weary traveling is in my blood and I must continue my destiny. She understood and bestowed upon me the replenishments. As I went on my way, a take one last look at the path I'm leaving behind, I play an air guitar solo and ended my time there. Or something like.....bloody good hot dog though.

Firstly, the food was absolutely delicious and so were the drinks. However, the staff forgot about us twice. So we were waiting over 40 minutes to order our drinks and food. The food took quite some time too, we had it after about waiting a total of 1 1/2 hours. When speaking to the waitress she admitted twice that she had forgotten about us and forgotten to put our food order through. But no apology or taking some money of our bill. I also have to say, that one of us was pregnant and very very hungry 🙂 but the food was definitely worth the wait. Its just a shame that we had to wait 1 1/2 hours for our food, which was not because it was busy but because we got forgotten about. So not sure if I would come back.

A lovely place, right opposite the pier in Worthing. We didn't eat but many people did and the food looked and smelled great. Friendly staff but not very efficient when it comes to collecting glasses and clearing tables. No ashtrays outside. Apart from those minor points, a lovely time was had by all.

Sat outside in the sun just as the shifts were changing which meant we waited a little longer than usual to be served as its table service. Not a problem though. The food was beautiful. Nicely presented. I had a cheese and bacon burger the gf had a tuna steak burger. The food was impeccable. The gf wishes she had asked for her tuna steak a bit less cooked but all in all a beautiful meal at a very decent price. Service was very good after the first bout of waiting. Will definitely come again.

The staff here are brilliant. I visited the Cow Shed a while ago (pre pandemic), and my phone was low on battery and I hadn't got my car charger with me. The staff very kindly charged it for me. While I was waiting, thought I'd try the food, so glad that I did! Great food at sensible prices

Great seaside bar for great food and drink. The service could definitely use some work, and if you come here you need to be prepared to wait a couple of minutes longer than you might want to for your food and/or drink, but the quality definitely than compensates. Accompanied by a comfortable range of drinks, this makes a must-go place for seaside food and drinks.

We popped into the Cow Shed at 5:00pm for a quick meal before driving back to Bristol. This restaurant is in a good situation on the seafront almost opposite Worthing pier. Plenty of life to look at through the large windows while you're eating. We had a corner seat, which gave us a particularly good view of the pier and life passing by. We had to order our food at the bar, which I'm not keen on. However, the staff were very friendly and the service was quick. I ordered a rump steak which was delicious and the cost was reasonable at about £14. My wife had fish and chips with beer battered cod. That cost £11, which is a bit pricey but was very good indeed and well presented. There is a good selection of drinks available, both alcoholic and soft. We didn't have a starter or a sweet as we were in a hurry. I am happy to recommend this restaurant.

Nice food, burgers and chips but interesting, great place for kids, they have lots of games and they are dog friendly too which is excellent for families. Can get quite hot in the sunny bits and some of the chairs aren't very comfortable so either book a table at the weekend or go somewhere else of you can't find a comfy seat, it can really ruin the meal. Perfect place to sit and watch the passersby. Nice cocktails too.

I love this quirky restaurant, and we love to pop down to Worthing in the summer, spend time on the beach and then grab a bite to eat here before heading home again! Fish and chip dish is great and even the kids portions are generous! Huge burgers/steak and fries served on slate or wooden board/plates. Some seating set up outside on the pavement to enjoy the sunshine. Good music and a good vibe! Check it out next time you are there!

I loved the food. I have allergies and they were very accommodating. My steak was cooked to perfection and good quality meat. The only problem was they do not have full fat mayo only light which is packed with sugar one of the things I'm allergic too but otherwise very nice. Good cosy ambience.

The Cow Shed is often a personal favourite. The food never disappoints and the staff are always friendly, even when customers are beyond rude! There is usually an offer on cocktails which is a bonus. The location is also great for watching the world go by.

Every year we come down for the veterans parade by the London taxicab, the cow shed has warm friendly staff with a warm welcome. For those celebrating, the menu looks good for a reasonable meal at a decent price. Would definitely recommend this place if your visiting the area.

As the name states The Cow Shed my husband has had the best rump steak in UK (15years in UK and he's South African so knows his beef). With best ever mushroom sauce. Myself on the other hand was hoping for some great fish and chips on the sea front and couldn't be more disappointed. Fish was super oily, butter raw in the middle and fish tasteless. Top that with fish proudly plonked on top of amazing chips just to soak them in excess oil. Had to use my husband's plate to rescue some chips. We would come back for sure just not for fish.

Hi all. I popped in to the Cowshed on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Nice polite greeting from the bar staff. Found a table easily. Quite busy with various groups of people. Be warned that the outside tables are sought after as it's quite the sun trap. Ordered a tasty bar snack which arrived promptly. My only quibble being that the piped music was a little loud and made conversation more difficult. Other than that, the location is ideal for the seafront and all the amenities nearby. The interior decoration has a relaxed carribean vibe to it which translates into the relaxed atmosphere. Evening wise, as a bar, it has the same effect or as a base for pre-dinner aperitifs. Give it a go if you haven't already or are visiting. Tata.
