The Dining Room hosted our 'after ceremony' meal in June 2022 and did a fantastic job. The venue is perfect for an intimate meal with close family, bridesmaids and best men - just what we wanted. We dropped some of our themed decorations off the day before which were all laid out for us when we arrived. The food was delicious and so unique for our special day - they accommodated for all different tastes. They offered a wide selection of drinks and you can also bring your own drinks for a corkage fee which we utilised for the toast. The location was very convenient for us due to our ceremony taking place a few minutes drive away. Our guests loved the surprise of the 'signing chef' after the speeches - a great mix of songs! They even went the extra mile and recorded a video of the 'singing chef' for us to add to our wedding video as we had missed filming it due to enjoying ourselves too much! Very reasonable pricing for a special meal. We hope to come back to celebrate our anniversary here time and time again.

We were looking for a restaurant in Worthing where we could book and enjoy a relaxed dining experience. The Dining Room came up on our search and we decided that the June 2021 tasting menu looked fabulous and one we could enjoy. The food was excellent (photos show the courses) and the hosts superb. We enjoyed the complementing matched wines and we thought overall the food and wine was great value. We would recommend The Dining Room without hesitation and when are next back in Worthing, this will be the place we revisit. The hosts were full of ideas and we would be really thrilled to dine on a themed night they plan.

If I could put more stars I would!! What a secret hidden gem. The dining rooms is so special - the food, the atmosphere, but the team are so wonderful - Jon, Ro, Oli, and Joseph were there when we had our wedding breakfast and wow! Our guests loved the sausage rolls (!), but nothing was too much trouble for anyone and there were so many thoughtful touches. Thank you isn’t enough for the lengths that were gone too. We can’t wait to come back for more singing !! Xxxx

Went to the five course Test Kitchen and it was fabulous. An experimental menu is served for you to critique. My favourite things, food and my opinion! Each course was delicious and there was a form to fill, so you can imagine, I was in seventh heaven. But I forgot to mention on the feedback that the ice cream was the best so I hope they read this. Also dog friendly, plus the chef has a beautiful voice and sings at the end of the evening. He even serenaded the dog. 10/10, A+. Service impeccable, well stocked bar, nice facilities, well spaced tables, clean and organised. I'm going again. They do all sorts of evenings, such as pie night, quiz night, also a wine flight; I don't know what that is but I'm going, it's wine, after all, how bad can it be? Service was on proper plates, not a slate, chopping board or saucepan lid in sight, thank goodness. No pretensions here just great food.

Really amazing cosy fine dining restaurant and really good value. About a third of the price of any in London and so far much tastier, still beautiful and with a far more reasonable portion size. So good I was back within 48hrs of dinner to try the lunch menu.

This is a bit of a late review as we went in May but really wanted to leave a comment. We had a great time and despite a mix up with the booking, the owner was so accommodating. We had the 7 course tasting menu with wine flight, which was beautifully presented. The food was amazing the chef changed my wifes fish course to aubergine, she loved it. Couple of the wines weren't what we would personally choose, but it offered a selection of white, red, rose and sparkling. It was a relaxed evening with superb service. We would highly recommend this dining experience.

We went back to the dining room on Saturday evening . We had their June tasting menu which was excellent . My favourite dish was the scallop with sweet corn starter. Jean is a very innovative cook and consistently produces great food. I had the wine flight which was excellent value . The wine list is full of carefully chosen wines at a good price. As usual the evening was completed with the “Singing Chef” singing while he prepares the bills. The acoustics in the restaurant are amazing! For a good night out in Worthing you cannot beat it. The whole evening was in accordance with the current COVID-19 regulations and totally safe.

We had a 7 course tasting menu here after looking for somewhere nice to eat in Worthing. The Dining room was nicely decorated, and the food with paired wine was fantastic. I did not eat red meat and so the chef even substituted this for vegetarian options with no fuss at all. The owners are delightful, and did all they could to ensure we had a good evening. Would definitely dine here again!

We recently used The Dining Room’s event service for a 70th birthday. The food was delivered on time and on lovely serving platters. It all looked incredible and tasted wonderful too - and we had loads left over to eat later as well! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will definitely be using them again and going into their restaurant!

Charlenes chocolate factory @The Dinning room was really good, the kids loved melting mixing and tempering & decorating their chocolate, staff were friendly, helpful lunch was best kids meal I've seen in long time! Beautifully presented, and loads of chocolate to take home highly recommend 👌

We've been to the Dining Room several times now. On our own and with family and friends. Every time the food has been great and the atmosphere brilliant. We've tried the seven course tasting menu (with wine flight) - a good excuse to dress up. We've also been to the really fun quiz night and enjoyed the very affordable pie nights (twice). It's great to find such an innovative place and lovely hosts. Looking forward to trying out some of the other events in the near future.

This was our first experience at The Dining Room - a special birthday celebration. We have been fortunate to eat in a number of beautiful restaurants over the years, and enjoyed many taster menus. What a revelation to find such a special place under our noses in Worthing! Every dish was packed with flavour, and was individually memorable - I can still think my way through the menu. A few highlights for me were the pea and ham vellouté that accompanied the monkfish; the pomme dauphines with the meat course; and who’d have thought a red wine sorbet was just what I wanted!! Jean and his team made us very welcome, and I’m so glad we chose to celebrate my birthday at The Dining Room. I won’t be waiting until my birthday comes around again - I hope to become a regular!

We visited The Dining Room for the first time last week, to try out Pie Night. We had a brilliant evening - the food and service were both excellent, and the already-lovely ambience was further enhanced by the singing chef! The owners clearly work very hard to maintain a high standard, and have created a very relaxed, casual yet classy vibe. This restaurant offers a unique range of dining experiences that you won't find anywhere else - if you haven't already visited, you're really missing out! If you're looking for a special night out, celebrating a special occasion, or just want a great meal, look no further. My wife and I were celebrating a special birthday so went to the dining Room for the 7-course taster menu and wine flight. We were not disappointed. a well-designed menu meant we were treated to a feast of fish dishes and meat dished with interesting and flavoursome intermediate courses. I finished with a good selection of Sussex cheeses. I'm no food or wine connoisseur so no airy-fairy descriptions from me. What I do know is good food is worth the money; poor food is not. This was well worth the money. It just goes to show there's no need to travel to Brighton and pay top-dollar when we have this on the doorstep. The Dining Room is the restaurant that Worthing was lacking but it now has a fine-dining restaurant to shout about. Well done, we'll be back.

Took a friend here for their 7-course special set menu. Every item delicious, and well prepped. Neither of us looked forward to the risotto course but it was smashing, not 'sloppy rice' as we feared!

We decided on a small intimate reception with a personal touch with the emphasis on amazing food and drink. We we’re not disappointed. Firstly we had the venue for our sole use which made it so personal and special. From the first email, Jean was attentive, excited and nothing was too much trouble. The menu selection, in his words could be anything we desired but we were offered help and previous menus to give us some much needed inspiration. The evening itself was fabulous, we decided on 7 courses which were beautifully presented, tasted amazing and were served at a pace which allowed us time to savour and enjoy each amazing dish. The night was a resounding success and our guests were suitably impressed. Thank you Jean and staff for making our evening something we are still talking about. Had a great evening at The Dining Room recently. Good food and good atmosphere. Jon and Ro are perfect hosts. It's not easy to find a Chef willing to submit himself to clients critique on their food and that is the hole point of the Test Kitchen evening. I've been lucky enough to attend a few times their other project called Supper Club which I absolutely recommend. All in all a great evening. Would recommend. Pedro

The singing chef has taken his top rated pop up dining experience and put it into a lovely environment. Food is great and constantly varied. Freshly prepared and the odd song (he is the singing chef after all). the restaurant isn't large so can get very busy at time but worth it.

A fantastic restaurant tucked away on the edge of Town centre offering great fine dining options with an ever changing menu. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and personable. Food was great particularly the squid and desserts on our visits.
