Staff are fab, super friendly and really helpful! Best chicken burger I have EVER eaten!! The chips were amazing and the mozarella sticks were incredible! And to top it off, the Chocolate brownie was to die for! Very generous portion!! You will not leave hungry! Highly recommend this little gem! We WILL be back! Thank you! Xx

Got to say I'm definetly middle of the road on this one, there was a few down sides for sure The front door alone was very misleading wasnt sure at first if the main entrance Atmosphere was very loud not the place for families in my eyes. The milkshakes alone were mind blowingly good but don't get them before your meal unless you have a big appetite. Fries portions were great enough said. Burgers were great chicken was very over cooked in my eyes but edible.

Best burgers around. Live in London currently and have never found a burger place that can compete with The Woods, so have to make sure to go whenever I'm back in Worthing. Colonel Nathan Jessop is a highlight. Great value too; you get a big meal for your money.

Just had a fantastic meal here for my son birthday. Probably the best burger I've ever had! The menu is (obviously!) mostly burgers but there are a small number of other choices for your main meal - all of which look delicious! The burgers are superb, flaversome and juicy. You can select from the sides for a starter or choose to have them come with your main..... Honestly, one burger and a side of chips is easily enough! The staff were very friendly and attentive, even though it was very very busy..... Would recommend booking. We'll be going back!

Excellent burgers. Really enjoyed them! Made a huge mess but very juicy and tasty. Will definitely be going back. Sides were also good. Had the parmesan fries and mac and cheese to share. The portion sizes are quite big. We overordered which meant doggy bags :-)

This place is amazing! Wouldn't normally say that about a burger place but Woods is far away from just being a burger place. I've truly never had such a well cooked, juicy, tasty burger before. Even the chicken wings were great. Prices looked a little high at first but based on the quality of the product, it's worth every penny. Staff were nice and friendly too. Would highly recommend, worth a visit to see how good this place is.

Only been here twice, however the food is excellent, the burgers are really tasty and filling, the chicken wings delicious, there is also a good choice of different fries. Choice of drinks from Milkshakes, Soft drinks, Beer, cocktails. You do need to book as very busy, there is a pay and display car park around the corner.

The food was excellent and the service was good. We have a minor criticism about the menu. Red lettering on a pink background in such low light was quite hard to read. (The table next to us was using the torch on their phone!) We'll definitely be back soon though. I haven't tried everything else on the menu yet.

What a find!! Not only do great burgers but also accommodated vegan and gluten free requirements. Finding gluten free and having confidence they can deliver without cross contamination is a BIG deal...10/10. We loved this place and will def come back. To be honest, previously, I'd never understood the idea of a Gourmet burger. To me a burger was a necessary evil as people fuel from a motorway service when I'm knackered & want to be home. The Woods has changed my perception for the better. I enjoyed a Blue Moon complete with Portobello mushroom, bacon, serrano ham & blue cheese sauce. Such a taste sensation. I want another one. Now.

About time Worthing has something like this. I tried the fuego burger - juicy and tasty chicken. Could do with a spicy kick as the jalapeño wasn't hot. Portions are a decent size and we left completely stuffed. Came here again and tried the Col. Nathan Jessops, when I cut through the camembert it oozed out and was everything! Mac and cheese was disappointing, was tasteless and watery.

Amazing lunch here today. Maple syrup on a burger?! Absolutely! A complete taste revelation, and I even got crispy bacon which I don't usually! Proper cream soda too, all delicious and the staff were just wonderful. Can't wait to go back 🙂

Nice vibe and lots of choice. I would go again but it wasn't the best burger I've ever had. It was good though. The cheese burger fries were too much, I think tone it down a bit lads and then you'd strike a balance. My actual burger patty didn't have any flavour as it was overshadowed by all the 'stuff' on it which is a shame.

First time we've visited and we'll definitely be going back. Nice to see a burger joint with a different menu. The burgers were huge and the Dirdy Birdy chicken on a savoury waffle put me in mind of New York, where I first delighted in bacon with maple syrup. My husband's blue cheese burger was similarly satisfying and the fries, mine vegetable, his with cheese and bacon, were cooked to perfection. We couldn't finish, so I suggest one portion of fries to share may be sufficient. The waiter was happy to make up a doggie bag, which the doggies thoroughly enjoyed. The lemon gin and prosecco cocktail was lovely, brownie points for environmentally friendly paper straw. The Oreo milk shake, thick and delicious. We couldn't manage a dessert! The only negative was the presentation. For the love of god, use plates! I am sick of this fad for serving food on wooden slabs, slates, bits of stone and even shovels. This beautiful fare was served on an oven tray lined with paper. The tray was not flat, so spun around whilst you were trying to cut your food, and the paper, wet with food juice, came off in little bits on the food. Probably won't go again because of this, which is a shame

Turned up late with no booking. Host sorted a table for two in 30 minutes with no problem. The food was simply outstanding. Sides were 6 mozzarella sticks (huge with an amazing sauce) and 4 mac and cheese balls with bacon and garlic, very nice too. Both burger mains were juicy and cooked perfectly. Service was fast and attentive, prices excellent and a great choice of drinks. Will definitely return soon.

Amazing Burgers, probably one of the best I have ever had. Great selection available and the sides are great with loads of options of chips, squid, sweet potatoes, mozzarella sticks. Desserts are also really good as well. Price is pretty good for what you get, burger, side and a drink normally £20-£25 per head. Staff are mega friendly as this is a family run place and easily the best burger joint in Sussex if not the South. Fantastic service.

This is my 2nd time to woods and I would say the meat burgers are the best in Worthing, however we had the halloumi burger this time around & it didn't unfortunately match up to the meat options The Halloumi came in several pieces, had a crumb on it & in my opinion had been overly deep fried, as it was very greasy. Also a word of warning, at the time we went the smell of grease from the open kitchen was quite apparent & when we left our clothes smelt really greasy. Of course this might have been a short term issue with extractor fans/ventilation at the time of our visit but wanted to raise in case it isn't & you are planning on going to other venues after your food

Food is excellent as always, but the last two times I have visited, the customer service has been appalling. A couple of your female waitresses on both occasions have failed to be attentive enough to plates needing to be cleared or even asking if the food is okay, they waited until after we had already finished to come over and enquire. To try and get someone’s attention to ask for additional items or the bill is a waiting game and even then, they take a long time to actually bring the bill over to you. On both occasions, it has not been busy at all, practically empty in comparison to what I have seen in the past, so I don’t really believe this level of waitressing is acceptable. It would also be nice to receive a smile and someone who actually comes across like they want to be there and enjoys their job..

Having visited a few places 'specialising' in burgers I was quite excited to visit Woods, I left however feeling a little disappointed. The atmosphere is that run down edgy place only the locals will know sorta thing, which it does really well! The milkshakes are absolutely superb, but you know what, it's a burger kitchen, and the burgers are pretty average. Service was frustrating and slow, and the waitress was a little difficult, not rude, but not pleasant.

First visit tonight for my birthday , been recommended to me by both my sons and it didn’t disappoint 😀 I honestly can’t fault a single thing , of course I went for the mountain and my wife the blue moon along with the skin on fries and finished off with banana and strawberry shakes . The food was superb , the best burger either of us have had along with great fries and shakes , the service was fast without feeling pushed and the staff polite and attentive. We don’t eat out often and there is nothing worse than a disappointing night when we do so The Woods was a breath of fresh air 👌

Incredible burgers, best I've had in a long, long while. Welcoming, friendly staff, quick service. It's advisable to book a table in advance as they get really busy in the evenings and it's quite a small restaurant. Well worth a visit, make sure you're hungry, as the desserts are also to die for! Lovely restaurant with options for everyone (vegan, gluten free ect) very generous meals and sides which are delicious. Only thing I would change is they make it clear that they have vegan options (which is great) but doesn't say if there is a vegetarian options/alternatives. My relatives are veggie so prefer to eat normal cheese not vegan cheese.

There's some great menu options here however some of the burgers are just too big. I feel you should be able to pick up the burger and eat it without a) having to resort to cutting it up or b) just collapsing into a mess. The milkshakes are great as are the sides but sides like chips are an extra and not included with the burger.

Lentil burger was already falling apart when it was served. My photos show the aftermath of trying to eat it. Did something go wrong here? Who knows. Fries of glory (cheesy fries) were served warm, not hot. Friend pointed out that the cheese was mild, similar to processed American cheese. Salted caramel and peanut butter milkshake was great. Coconut rum complimented it well. Halloumi burger was very salty and fish-like. Suspect this is due to combination of the cheese's high sodium content in combination with pesto. I'd recommend holding off on the pesto if you're ordering this. It's 3* for now.

FIrst time there last night and tried the Kermit Burger (pulled pork and 'slaw). I had 4 lumps of meat and two end stalks of cabbage delivered in a soggy bun for nearly £9. I also asked for table water which never arrived and a double espresso which came as a single shot. As it was early, then it was not becuase they were busy. This has a somewhat young and "trendy" feel to, but even though I'm probably not their target demographic, I was still made to feel welcome, with genuinely friendly staff. I would say that it is moderately priced (pushing slightly expensive) and the overall quality is very high, justifying cost. We will almost certainly be back on another occasion. (As a side note, if visiting during peak times, it is worth calling ahead of time to book a table).
